Air Puff Dog Collar For Sale (2024 Update)

I got this bark collar for my two dogs and it worked wonderfully for a few months. They completely stopped barking! But then, the battery wouldn't stay charged. I was told that I might be doing something wrong that ruined the battery. Customer Service was uber helpful (5 stars for them!) and they sent me a new collar for free. I ended up going through five collars in just a few months with the same problem each time. The rechargeable battery is the only problem with this product, but it is a huge problem. When I finally asked Customer Service if they had any spray collars with a different type of battery, they directed me to the Elite Spray Bark Collar. When I got the collar they only had the one for little dogs, but it still works amazingly for my big dogs! It does all the same things as the rechargeable one except that it uses non-rechargeable batteries. These batteries last way longer than the rechargeable one though so it's a win-win! I highly suggest looking at the Elite Spray Bark Collars!!!NIKKI 😉

Supposed to have 35-45 sprays but it sure didn’t. We put the collar on him and angled the camera so we could watch him and try to train him to stop. He barked and it sprayed. He continued to bark. It continued to spray. It shut off like it’s supposed to. We went in and the whole place smelled like citronella. We walked back out after trying to calm him. He barked and it sprayed. He kept barking and then it stopped spraying and started flashing that it was out. The. Citronella cartridge only had maybe 5-8 sprays. We had to leave for a few hours that afternoon and we put the unscented cartridge in. After being gone for only an hour or two it was empty as well. We watched video of him and he continued to bark through the sprays. It had no effect. However, it also only had maybe 10ish sprays in it total. The cartridges aren’t worth the money as they don’t have what they are supposed to have in them. The collar was not worth the money as the spray didn’t even phase our dog. Maybe it works for others but it didn’t do anything for us apart from leave a citronella smell in the air for a few minutes.MarkD504

For starters I am not a person who usually leaves reviews but this product deserves it! I bought two of these collars for my two of my noisier dogs. I have tried everything to control their barking – trying to distract them with treats, spraying them with water to correct the behaviour, using high frequency clicker and using a training collar that I would beep if they barked as a warning and then it would vibrate if they barked again. None of these worked so I gave up for a bit, until I saw this collar come up as I was researching new collars to try – I decided to give it a shot since it was different than the methods I have previously tried. My god, it is incredible! I put the collar on my noisiest dog, a terrier, (his barking is out of control) and he barked once and it sprayed him and he has not barked since – I went from having him bark at every little sound he heard outdoors to peace and quiet. I love this product and I highly recommend it! P.S. It also works for my other dog, my terrier just gets her hyped up with his barking but now they are my quiet little hellhounds 🙂lbll12

OK I needed to get my younger boy to check himself with the over excessive barking but I never wanted to use anything like the shock collar which to me is a little inhumane. The one thing I noticed that did work is spraying him with a water bottle,however that’s not practical when he’s far away in the yard or trying to chase him down to do it. This was the perfect solution I can’t believe I didn’t know about this! It fit him perfect was easy to adjust with plenty of room till the perfect fit so I’m sure it’ll fit almost all dogs. It was very easy to set up you just pop one of the little spray refill cartridges which it came with two,unscented and citronella and so far we are on the unsented. It has a USB charging cable which was also convenient. Although in my pic I have the collar on his back it has to go under his neck I just did that for the picture you might have to trim your dogs fur under his neck which I did and it worked much better. The battery life is awesome all depending on how much your dog barks we are on almost 2 months the first week or two before your dog gets used to it it will use more obviously. Honestly this is the best thing totally safe humane great battery life easy to charge and at least for us and the most important thing..IT WORKS!Oakleyblue

My dog has her mouthy moments and like yo bark at everyone that walks by my house. I recently tried the Premier Pet™ Spray Bark Collar to try and calm her from obnoxiously barking. The collar adjusted to her neck size with ease, along with a easy to use buckle. The collar has an easy opening small door that you load with the spray deterrent that holds 35 sprays each. When I put it on my dog and she began to bark the collar went off and sprayed her. She immediately stopped barking and started to run in circles around me seemingly confused as to what what happening – but she stopped barking! After a few instances of this happening she caught on and the barking stopped! The collar definitely does exactly what it is made to do, and I find it to be alot less cruel then a shock collar! We have a 4 year old German Shepherd who has never barked at anything until just recently. The more we socialize her with other dogs she learns more behaviors. Some not so good ones kinda like her barking at people walking down the street, or a squirrel in the yard, or sometimes she just barks to hear herself! This. This collar was a life saver! My dog is very well trained and very obedient but didn't want to listen when we would redirect her from barking. It seemed to just make it worse if anything. Even though we only had to use this for 2 days she learned very quickly. The collar was very effective. A small sprits and she was distracted as to why she was barking in the first place. We did follow up with positive reinforcements along with the collar. If she didn't bark with it on, she received praise and a treat. I highly recommend this to any barking dog owner. I have a 10 yr old Coton and she is a barker! She barks at everything. I waited about 3 days before even putting it on her because I felt bad for her! But after reading about it and knowing it won't hurt her at all I decided to give it a try. I bought this for a friend that was having trouble with his dog barking after moving to a new apartment. It has been about two weeks and is a different dog. He sometimes goes for a couple days with no spray in his collar. The first time he didn't like the spray and still doesn't but was not expecting the spray nor the smell. I swear he barks at the wind or an ant crawling past the gate it was unbearable and many many sleepless nights. We bought the Dogtra YS600 and had to buy longer prongs as his hair is SO thick. Setting 1 and 2 did not do anything so we turned it up to level 3 and he barked and let out a big Yelp! And was quiet straight away. I have turned it back down to 1 to see if it will do anything and he barked again and let out a big Yelp again. I am not going to turn it up any higher I cannot believe this works!! This is the best investment I can now study in peace and we can get a full night sleep! This Apple AirTag collar is such a smart way to use the Apple AirTags! The AirTag fits securely inside the collar. The collar itself is silicone and seems very comfortable. There is a lot of room to adjust the size so you can get it around a small neck and also adjust it so it can fit a larger dog. The AirTag works well in the house also, if you just want to know where your dog is hiding. I would not recommend using the tag chime feature unless you actually need it because it could startle your pet. The collar seems to be durable so I am hoping it will last awhile.Asha03

This item did not last a week. Made out of a weak rubber/plastic material so that even small dogs like Miniature Schnauzers had their way with it in no times. Their are better collars for AirTags elsewhere.DogAndDeviceLover

The collar was kind of hard to actually lock into place and not have the two pieces that hold the band down not do what they are made to do, and their is no actually place to hook your dog chain to like hoop or anything. Other than that it was comforting on my pugs neck with the nice silicone texture.Swelly

Hi. We just started using the collar on Saturday. It is amazing. Cleo is not uncomfortable and more settled. No more bunny hopping & barking (large german shepherd) at the front door when the postman comes. The neighbours are not complaining. We are home this week and keeping an eye on her and reafirming when she is quiet. I think the collar had only got to about level 2 a couple of times over the last couple of days. Amazing product!!! I have a beautiful groodle, well trained and loved dearly. But her barking was out of control. Kids couldn't play ball without the constant barking. Researching and ordering the collar from the Bark Control website was seamless. The bark collar was received in short time via Australia Post Express. It appears to be well made and fairly robust. Operation of and fitting the collar is easy, directions are included and are simple to follow. We've had no barking complaints from our neighbours since changing to this collar so I guess it's working. it's far superior to our previous vibration type which was pretty much useless on our cattle dog. I'll first start by saying I never do reviews. However I was at my wits end with our nine month old chiweenie. I thought my husband was going to kill me and the dog…and I was praying my neighbors did not have guns because this little 8 pound cutie barked like a 100 lb squealing pig at anything and everything! Previous to this device I tried the citronella collar and the ultrasonic remote. Neither phased her. I will say on day one I thought this thing was a piece of junk. I called pet safe and learned that the collar needs to be tightly fitted on the dogs neck or it will not work. After adjusting the collar and I was still on the phone with the representative my Daisy girl went outside and I witnessed it working immediately. We still have some light barking which I imagine occurs before the strengthened static but it is completely manageable. I will say after reading the reviews we have lucked out with the battery… It has been in use with an aggressive Barker for a month and still has not needed to be replaced. Our only downside is that the collar is bulky… I take it off when she comes inside. If I do forget to put it on when she goes outside she will bark up a storm again! I bought two Basic Static Bark collars to help alleviate my puggle's and beagle's separation anxiety barking when we are not at home. The collars are fitted properly and in accordance with instructions and the batteries are working, yet BOTH dogs continue to bark. The biggest problem is that both collars tend to move to one side of the dogs' necks, so the dogs are probably not receiving the static correction. The directions state to "REPOSITION THE COLLAR ON THE PET'S NECK EVERY 1 TO 2 HOURS.." Obviously, if we are not home, this is impossible to do. I wasted almost $100 on collars that do not work on either dog. Petsafe customer service recommended that I should purchase the more expensive Deluxe Petsafe Collar. No thanks. I'm done wasting my money! PETSAFE RESPONSE Thank you for taking the time to review the Basic Static Bark Collar. We are terribly sorry to hear that it did not work well for your puggle and beagle, and can understand your frustration! These collars must be lined up with the vocal cords in order to detect the vibration of the bark. We had just moved in about a month ago and didnt want to make enemies. My dog barks at everything. From shadows, birds to airplanes. I decided to give this a try. I was skeptical and thought for sure this wouldn't work. I put it on my dog and let him loose in the backyard. Sure enough he barked once and to my surprise, stopped! I noticed there were people walking their dogs (we lived right next to the dog trail) and sure enough my dog darts out to the back yard and again barked once, then stopped. I was shocked! I wanted to see if it was really working so I took it off and my dog ran out there and started his annoying bark. I called him in and out the collar back on and again ran out but this time he did not bark. I must have done this about 3-4 times and the results were the same. Here we are 1 week from the day I bought it and my dog's behavior has completely changed. Everytime I let him out to potty, I'll put his collar on and no unnecessary barking from him. Our new pup now almost 1 1/2 years old, was a barking machine. Hard to control or stop. We got this hoping that would help and it has. Our dog has a LOT of fur and it was hard to get contact but when that issue was resolved we noticed the barking decreased within a day or two. When we took off the collar, there was a tendency for our dog to ramp up again but once it was back on, the excess barking stopped. The dog has now figured out, collar on, no barking. Collar off, barking some is ok. Hopefully that goes away with time. Next we need to work on whining, sigh…Mossman1

The PetSafe Bark Collar has been a tremendous help with our Australian Shepard who loved to bark at anything and everything from dusk until dawn. We put the collar on right away and it started working immediately for him. It doesn't seem to hurt him at all. I think it startled him more than anything but he is fine. We are able to take him on walks now and to the park . The kids are not scared of him anymore and we can actually talk to each other calmly without having to get frustrated trying to talk over his barking. I read all the reviews on a lot of bark collars and the PetSafe Barking Collar – PBC17-16635 by far had the best reviews. After talking with my husband we decided to purchase. Once received we read the instruction manual and did as it said but no matter what we did nothing was working. I emailed and Jason sent through a video lnk which gave us more of a clearer understanding of what to do. Upon following those instructions I cant fault it. I'd tried a few different things to curb my dog's barking but nothing had worked. I chose this model based on the 'Bark Collars by Breed' chart and then rang the 0800 number to get further advice. My Boston Terrier of 9 years never barked in her life. We got a rescue and those days are over. Now she barks at everything, even more than the rescue. I bought an inferior product that didn’t work at all. So I invested in the Barkless 504. Well she will bark through the stimulation, even with the longer sensors and set to the highest L9. It does seem she barks a little less, but she definitely barks through the collar stimulation. I’m not over joyed by the function of this collar but it seems to be the best there is.Penny R

This collar did not work properly. It would do static correction when my dog was quiet and the bark counter didn't even register a single bark when he was barking like crazy. I tried to get it to work properly for 3 days before returning for a refund (that I had to pay shipping for both ways). It was very disappointing, especially when I was told 'there was nothing wrong with the collar'. (Yes, it was fitted correctly.) This collar is no good for very fluffy dogs. I'd suggest getting a collar with a microphone instead of vibration sensor for fluffy dogs.Rheannon D.

This collar is 100% useless. I bought it because I noticed that under "Guardian" it said, "By PetSafe". My sister has a PetSafe bark collar that she uses for her German Shepherd, and it works perfectly. I figured this would be essentially the same, since it was roughly the same price. I was wrong. The collar DOES NOT WORK. I mean, the test it instructs you to do before putting it on the dog, showed that the collar itself was not broken or nonfunctional. It did exactly what it was supposed to– when you run the prongs along a flat surface for at least 10 seconds, it will beep & a red light will flash. So, it was tested & appeared to be functional. I put it on my 47 pound, 9 month old female Pitbull, & it did NOTHING. She barked right through it… I gave it hours, thinking maybe it just had to work up to a higher level. But nope. She just barked more and more and more. I promptly returned this to the Walmart store I purchased it from, and now I'm back on the hunt for one that does work. I may end up having to spend double. But I'd rather spend double for one that DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO, than save money and have a useless piece of plastic strapped to a cheap, flimsy collar. Which is another thing…. the collar itself is VERY VERY VERY cheap. It's like dollar store material. The plastic buckle is flimsy and light. The buckles that adjust the collar size are the same flimsy material, and they DO NOT HOLD. The collar does not stay fitted or firm. It loosens right up. I even threaded the other end through the buckle so that it had THREE layers of collar, and it STILL didn't stay. This collar is poorly made, and 100% nonfunctional. Do yourself a favor and don't waste your money.blackdahlia

We have 2 Puggles, one of them is overly vocal and the 2nd tends to follow what the older one does. We adopted our loud mouth when he was a little over 5 years old, I'm pretty sure his barking is what landed him in the shelter in the first place. We have tried many other items to try to curb his barking none of which have worked. The sonic egg surprisingly worked for about 2 days before he started barking louder to drown out the sound of it. When I say overly vocal, I mean he barks at anything and everything. Not just a little bark, but an ear piercing headache causing bark. He barks when someone nocks on the door, at people walking down the street, and all delivery trucks. He even barks when someone he has seen and knows well comes over wearing something unfamiliar to him, like a baseball cap. For 4 years now we've been patient with him, but recently a neighbor complained about how he barks at ALL the delivery trucks. The last thing we want is to have problems with neighbors. So, we finally broke down and searched for a decent bark collar that wouldn't break the bank especially being only a few days before Christmas. I was a little hesitant that anything would work being that he's over 9 years old. To my surprise this thing works exactly as described, and we are loving the peace and quiet. The first day we put it on him, he ran to the fence to bark at an unfamiliar truck driving down the street. He let out the first bark no problem, but after the second bark he yelped and that was it. He's never made it beyond a second bark. The second day he barked only once at the mail truck and stopped, he knows the first bark wont do anything. I'm good with him barking once, just not continuously for 5-10 minutes straight. We take the collar off him at night because he's usually pretty quiet at night anyway, but first thing in the morning it goes back on him. He's quiet when he's wearing it, and honestly seems happier to me now that he's not focused on barking at everything. He can still do his low happy excited howl when he greets us without setting off the collar so I'm happy about that. I'm going to give him about 3 months of wearing it during the day and then we'll try him without it. My younger dog is also being quiet because his brother isn't constantly barking anymore. The collar itself is good material, I'm glad it's not plastic, it seems to be well built. I'll update my review it anything ever fails.amaiyamama

I have 2 ANNOYING dogs that we love SO VERY MUCH!! lol We live in a subdivision where we have tons of cars, tons of bikers, tons of walkers, tons of kids getting on and off the bus, and wildlife at night. MY DOGS HATE COMING INSIDE AND CANNOT STAND ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE FAMILY OR ANY OTHER ANIMAL IN THEIR SIGHT RANGE! So our shed outback is their "doghouse" with heat lamps and cozy bedding. THEY DROVE US NUTS EVERY SINGLE DAY AND EVERY SINGLE NIGHT BEFORE WE PURCHASED THESE COLLARS!! I've bought about 4 different outdoor barking systems from Amazon and Petsmart that looked like inconspicuous birdhouses, but they never worked well or lasted long. We would use sound machines at night to drown them out!! If we knock on the windows during the day, they used that as a signal to stop, but they would only stop long enough to run to the backdoor before they were off barking at anyone and everything again!! This Guardian Bark Collar is AMAZING for us, and I'm SURE our neighbors think so too!! When we do hear barking, we know it is either needing a new battery or the collars need to be tightened. These have been worth every penny to us!! Customer service/warranty through PetSafe has been tremendous as well!! I always forget to leave reviews but quickly remembered as I am only here leaving this one bc I was about to buy a 3rd collar for our dachshund/chihuahua mix who has taken over all the barking since the other two have stopped!! I had the older version and loved it. Newr version is even better. O ly had to use the shock once. Use the buzz or vibrate and our dogs mind immediately. We have big dogs, 2 English Mastiffs and 2 Rotties. Rate these A++.mainemalehere

Garmin is known for great value and they don't fall short with the PT10 add-on collar for the PRO70, PRO550 or the SportPRO I have the Pro550 and I use all three functions, the tone, the vibrate and the stimulus while training and my dogs respond to each one in the manner I want. The ability to switch between the modes and to adjust the strength of stimulus when using it is extremely valuable. Trust the Garmin name and you won't be sorry.starr***

I purchased this collar to go with the Garmin Pro 550. The system is of the highest quality, used by professional dog trainers who only want the best. Easy to pair with my existing transmitter and works exactly as intended. The only negative point I can make is the lack of colors. I have three hunting dogs, and my transmitter will work simultaneously with three collars. My transmitter has a color coded toggle in Red, Black and Blue to chose the dog that needs some encouragement. My transmitter came with a black collar, therefore, I just needed to buy a red and blue collar and all would be well in the world. Cabela's only sells this collar in Red! Great! One down, one to go. That is when I discovered that Cabela's only sells a "Red" additional collar when Garmin offers about ten different colors. Since Cabela's does not offer the Blue collar, I am forced to purchase the blue collar somewhere else. Come on Cabela's, didn't your guys notice the Red, Black and Blue color scheme on the Garmin's you sell? That is my only gripe on an outstanding collar!!AugustaDonster

I purchased this collar for a new puppy I am training. I am very pleased to have the Tone/Vibration stimulation before going to shock. I have owned several collars over the years and purchased this to replace a Tri-Tronics XLS. The construction is lightweight, yet durable. Button placement is thoughtful and gives me quick control of the stimulation and beeper. I like the flexible configuration; even though, I had to call SportDog tech support to get it set the way I wanted. (they were very helpful and spent some time with me to understand how I wanted to use the collar before walking me through the setup) I would recommend this collar. It takes some setup, so be ready to read the manual or call for help.LongSage

The e collar portion works great, the audible location beacon is far from what I expected. It was money wasted. The point function is always on, so if the dog stops for 10 seconds it goes off. I called Sportdog and they told me that’s how it’s supposed to be. It’s too bad because as a located it would be great but it is always going off when the dog takes drinks, pauses, and cannot be worn unless full out hunting.Klassch

I am disappointed that the collar receiver (shock/vibrate) portion does not respond to the tone. I thought that there would be tone, vibrate and shock capability of the shock portion of this collar. The tone button only works the beeper which is useless if the beeper is not on the dog. Also upset that the locate function of the beeper does not have the capability to change the tone from the tone that is already in use on the dog. I would like the locate to be able to have a louder tone than the tone beeping on the dog that I already can't hear.johnostrum

So my dog is a runner. Doesn’t matter how much she loves me, she will run right out the gate if given the chance. To give myself some piece of mind (and an easier, helpful way) to locate my dog I got her an AirTag and this case to go with it. I like that it double loops with the collar, giving it more security rather than a hanging tag which I think is more likely to fall off than this design. So far so good!Pamela E.
