We have a 6 pound 12 year old Chihuahua who recently had a reaction to a newer and larger "chew-able" heartworm preventative that contained an added ingredient. It's like she was in a daze, staring, trembling and walking in "slow motion"…very scary! After discussing it with the vet, and reading the possible side effects of the new medication (which included neurological symptoms), we decided to return to this Interceptor medication, which she's taken for years with no problem (it's also a much smaller pill, only about 5mm, and easy to slip into a piece of banana or apple… since she refuses to take pills without disguising them). Unfortunately, our vet was out of them and informed us that this specific pill has been discontinued and suggested we check online. So I purchased two of these 6 dose boxes from Valley Vet Supply, enough to last me an entire year (we live in a warm climate that has mosquitoes all year round). My vet recommended Interceptor as I was convinced my sweet Greyhound became ill every month when I gave her Heart Guard. She would have an upset stomach and diarrhea for days after receiving it. If your pet is being treated for congestive heart failure (CHF) this is the brand of furosemide you want. For my dog, generic drugs did not work well and while on a generic his CHF was poorly controlled. Switching him to Salix resulted in a dramatic improvement in his health and control of CHF related problems like breathing rate exercise tolerance and coughing. I was also able to reduce his furosemide dose by 25% by switching to Salix. I would recommend avoiding generics and use Salix for your pet, some medications are worth the extra money and this is one of them.George D

our herd of barn cats are impossible to catch all at one time, so.. using a dropper to dose one at a time doesn't work. I know the other reviewer was not happy with the dosage but I like to start my puppies off early with vaccines at around 5-6 weeks. If you are going to vaccinate older puppies or adults I recommend you buy the Nobivac Intra-Trac 3 which has the full 1 ml dosage you are looking for. Puppies under 16 weeks old only need Distemper/Parvo immunizations, they usually have antibodies from their ma ma up to 12-16 weeks. Most shots at veterinarians office are 5 way or 7 way, which means it has 5-7 different kinds of viruses that go into that little pup at 6 to 8 weeks old, it's a lot for the guy to metabolize. Depending on the environment the pup is in, they don't need all of that, and if they have a reaction, it could be from any or all of them together. It is very hard to prove, when the little guy gets sick, that it was from his immunization shot, and most of the time it's not reported at all. I love the NOVIBAC Puppy DPv, because it is safe for my puppies and doesn't over vaccinate. I will order them again, and again, thank you Valleyvet.com!miki

Certainly did the trick for my little dog. Usually whines , throws up etc. even a short distance ride in car. Took him on a 2 hour drive and yea no throwing up, no winning and slept on the way home 4 hours later. . I also used pheromone spray when we left and that also contributed to his being calm. He is 14 lbs. and I just gave him ½ of pill. I am so glad I tried this and certainly will again. Rescue dogs often feel abandoned & this helped my little guy. .2rediculous

I clean my cocker's ears every 7 to 10 days with ear wash and use the non-alcohol canine ear wipes a couple of times a week for maintenance but every few months she'll get stinky, yeasty ears. My vet has prescribed several different treatments but none have worked as well as the Surolan drops. On day 3 she stopped scratching and rubbing them and by day 4 the smell was completely gone. After the 7 day treatment was completed I cleaned them out really good and to my surprise there was very little discharge. Note – Please use 2x/day for 7-full days…don't stop the treatment when there's improvement.
My dog had a really bad ear infection and was shaking her head non stop for hours until we got her to the vet. This medication started working in 3 Days She seemed completely healed but still used for the rest of the directed time of usage. I even used the remaining for a second ear infection(she swims a lot) even though I know I’m not supposed to do that and I got great results again! Hooray!Smoochies

When I first found out about this product, I used it to loosen tartar on my under one year old dogs teeth. And it worked! I was able to scrape off the tartar after about a week or so. But the key is to use the product EXACTLY as directed and if you can brush in between uses, that is helpful too.Michele
My Chiweenie's teeth do not have tartar on them since I started using this. He has needed his teeth cleaned twice a year which is very expensive and potentially dangerous since they have to use general anesthesia. This product isn't cheap, but it beats $500-700 teeth cleaning bills. Unfortunately, it doesn't improve his breath.seberry57
