Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. The ball is very rigid plastic which prevents total instant destruction by the doxie tag team that makes short work of any toy in reach. The dog has learned to propel the ball with his feet like in soccer ,all the while barking with every gobble – giggle noise the ball makes when rolled along.Dog seems to like it .Thanks!Elf CAS

I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. I would love to have one of stronger material that he could play with and not have to worry. The concept for this toy is spot on and I would give it a positive review for a smaller dog or a breed that is not a strong chewer.pompano01-us

My dog absolutely LOVES this ball. We got her one when she was just a puppy and it’s been her favorite toy since. She’s had it about 6 months and has destroyed it. I don’t mind buying one every six months because I get my money’s worth. Last night I went to buy her a new one, thinking she will have it another 6 months. WRONG. I got home, gave it to her (8 month old lab mix puppy) and she took it and had it chewed apart in about 30 minutes. They must have gotten cheap and changed material. NOT HAPPY!!BBB Customer

We have all three colors of large jive balls for our very destructive goldendoodle chewers! The jive ball is a win win at our house! Every other toy does not last a day. From the moment Belle’s jive ball got here it’s been her go-to ball. Belle, who is a registered wrecking ball, destroys or eviscerates every toy (if you consider my Furnature a toy) we’ve introduced to her. Not the jive. Our trainer, Marty Strausbaugh of Pawsitive Training, suggested your company and specifically the jive ball. And boy I’m glad he did. I confess I use it in the house when the weather is inclement. I bowl in across the living room thru the dining area into the kitchen over and over and over again. I wish I had a video to show but I can’t bowl and photo at the same time. I have an American Staffordshire Terrier and an American Pitbull Terrier. As other owners of these breeds can likely attest they can pretty much destroy anything short of steel and concrete. I purchased all sorts of toys for my pups and nothing lasted more than ten minutes before having to take it away and through it in the trash due to being torn to pieces or in the process of. I bought toys from Kong, Supper Chewer, Bully Make and others. Every toy except for the standard Kong Cone and a rubber soda can made it. My wife found West Paw and I gave them a shot. These toys are fantastic! They have lasted for months! They are so good that I can actually let them play with these unattended. Take my word for it, if you have a doggo that can chew through anything then these are the toys you need. My Carmine loves his Bumi. This makes number two for him. He had a horseshoe which was his favorite thing and these Bumi are a great replacement. The opportunity presented itself for me to try out the Bumi dog toy, produced by West Paw. This particular toy is one of West Paw's newest dog toys. Bumi, makes an exceptional toy for tug of war. It is made of Zogoflex. Zogoflex is a strong, malleable material that is suppose to withstand unfavorable conditions. Those conditions being my dog's sharp teeth, his powerful grip, and his action in thrashing it all over the yard as he is playing. Well, I went outside and introduced him to the Bumi. He wasn't excited like I thought he would be. At first, that was disappointing. He would not play tug of war with me. Instead, he liked running and fetching the Bumi back to me. The Bumi is a light weight, "S" shaped, bouncy toy that is easy to throw for fetching. It also travels a bit further than most toys due to these traits. It is non-toxic, BPA and Phthalates free ( Phthalates is a chemical used to soften PVC plastics). These substances can cause damage to the kidneys, liver, lungs, and testes according to animal research. Not all dog toys are safe and I do not want to risk my dog's health for anything. The Bumi is made to be long lasting and safe for dogs to chew on. I like that he will fetch the toy because it requires him to get up and move. Exercise will be good for him and he is learning a few commands. I gave him a reward and that really motivated him to continue fetching. It looks like my dog will enjoy chewing on this toy for the most part. So far, it has held up well.When he puts his mouth on it, he grips it in the middle section, where it has a ball like shape. I suppose it's because this is the first time he has had a toy like this. Usually, he retrieves balls and other round toys so this toy is fun and easier for him to grip. This toy is made in the USA and it was made to last a long time. The chewing action is good for his gums and teeth. The Bumi floats in water and can be easily washed or placed in the dishwasher. Lastly, I was impressed with the fact that if the Bumi comes apart it can be returned to West Paw company for a new one. The West Paw Company made this toy so it can be recycled if returned. It's a great toy for my dog and with it being recyclable, it is good for us and our environment. I don't think a dog owner could go wrong in purchasing this new innovative toy by West Paw.DD

Over the past 17 years, we've had 3 dogs and have bought hundreds of toys over those years. None of our dogs were very rough with their toys, so we've had 3 baskets full of gently used dog toys. All 3 dogs have since passed away, the last one in June of 2020. So, in September of 2020 we got a mini Goldendoodle puppy. Since we still had the 3 baskets full of toys that were in good condition from our other dogs, our new puppy, "Bowie" has had tons of toys to play with. The big difference is that Bowie is NOT gentle with his toys!! He is a power chewer who not only tears toys apart, he will actually consume the stuffing!! I've had to take every toy away from him after a day or two due to his weird appetite! I NEVER leave him alone with a toy. But there is one toy from that bunch that he absolutely loves and is still in excellent condition. So, thankfully, I was able to find the name of the company stamped into this toy, and I immediately searched the internet for the company West Paw (praying that it was still around). I was ecstatic to find their website, and there I saw his beloved toy – the "Bumi"!!! I was also surprised to see it listed as a toy for gentle chewers! I saw that almost all the reviewers mentioned that their dogs were more like Bowie – power chewers. The other thing about the Bumi is that it makes Bowie do the Zoomies all around the house whenever he plays with it. It makes him crazy! So, the added benefit is the exercise he gets when he plays with it, and there is still not a single bite mark on it! The blue/orange chuckit balls are great and loved by the dogs over their original orange/blue ones (those who know understand what I'm saying), but, they don't last long. The squeaker pops out of it's holder inside the ball after about four chomps. Then rattles around inside the ball. Then, after a few days of hard playing, the "plug" pops out of the ball and eventually sinks causing you to buy another one. Hence, why I buy 5 at a time if I can. If my dog didn't love playing with this larger ball, I wouldn't buy them anymore.Store (.

I love the orange chuck it balls – with the throwing stick they fly a long way (40m with a weak throwing arm). Perfect for my German Shepherd. The orange ones never get chewed through unlike tennis balls. My dog loves squeakers so I thought this would be a perfect ball. Unfortunately, squeaker stopped working after approx 5 hours of play. One fell apart inside, the other I suspect was full of saliva. Also don't buy if you will have them inside, they are too loud with an irritating sound.Chris

I ordered this ball from Chewey.com. My pit bulls destroy every toy I’ve ever gotten for them within the first few minutes so I wasn’t holding much hope that this ball would be any different. When I felt how soft it is my thought was even stronger that in no time at all id be picking up little pieces of this ball from all over the house. Babygirl was so excited to see her new squeaky ball, and with that the dog vs ball match was on! I would have bet money that Babygirl would prove victorious in no time at all, but that didn’t happen. After about 1 1/2 hrs of nonstop chewing on it she exhausted herself, and took a short break. Although the squeaker stopped working the ball was unharmed. When I say that Baby is a aggressive chewer I mean it. It’s been 3 hrs of basically non stop chewing on that ball and Im blown away that it’s still in one piece so I came to your site to submit a review (reviewed on Chewey also) and to buy more for my other 2 dogs. I bought the large dumbbell toy for my Staffordshire Bull Terrier to play with and the brand Kong are mostly indestructible. Shell play and chew on it for hours. She's managed to chew off the yellow outer skin on one of the dumbbells. But not destroyed it, yet! I'll only let my young girl have soft toys to play with it when supervised though as I left her with two kong toys she'd had for Christmas day. I was only gone 3 hours and the l Kong tennis ball had been chewed into pieces of rubber all over her XL crate. She is a chewer. So I wouldn't leave her unattended with any Kong soft kong toys in case of her doing the same and swallowing pieces. Fast deliverycraddoad

I have to start off by saying this was Enzos favorite toy of all!! He absolutely loved it. Picked out from the rest the moment he saw it. It's not as strong as I would like it to be be but I found it to be affordable for the size and quality of the product . It lasted a couple of days and then he started tearing off the material to get to the squeaker as its always the first to go in a toy. He still played with the naked ball until he finally chewed it up. I will defiantly be purchasing one for the Christmas stocking this year. We ordered this for out dog. He loves to catch and chase toys so we thought this would be perfect. Sadly it didn’t last. I wanted to really love this toy. It's actually the second time I bought it…but only out of desperation because it lasted longer than all the other toys my dog has destroyed. I don't have a big dog but he's a determined chewer and can destroy ANYTHING but a Kong. He's a 1 yr old lab/maybe husky/maybe retriever/viszla mix (we think). He LOVED LOVED LOVED this toy but chewed the rope off straight out of the gate. He used that weakness to find a spot to tear in the fabric and reveal the rubber and it was over from there. To be fair if you're using this the right way (for fetch instead of it ending up as a chew toy) it will likely last much, much longer. A friend of ours got out dog just the bumper part of this combo and it has been huge it. It received serious work every day at the beach, and as you can see from my photos even had some group play with several other big dogs. Seemed reasonably durable. I have a German shepherd who loves the pool. We live in a desert, so it's a great way to keep him active in the summer. Previously, I would use the orange Chuckit! balls for pool play because they are very durable and they're his absolute favorite, but he would have to bob a lot to grasp them which left him snorting up a lot of chlorine water. I found this product and felt it would be much easier for him to snag from the water. After two hours of play it held up pretty well. But I am worried it won't last long. He loved it, and had a blast fetching it over and over but he clamps down pretty hard when grabbing it. With his large teeth and strong bite, it made a lot of popping sounds as he would swim it back to the steps and readjust his hold on it. He punctured it quite a bit, but it hasn't fallen apart yet. Some of the stitching is coming undone on the blue ends and they are very weak. It may last longer if you can sew. When he gets it out of the water he does squeeze it as if trying to squeak it, but he's good at stopping when I tell him to. It probably wouldn't last an hour if I let him chew it and he's not even one to destroy toys. There's only been a few toys that have broken from him playing and it's almost always because his teeth puncture it and the stuffing starts falling out. Once this happens our golden retriever will take it and rip it to pieces. This one he is not allowed to have without supervision and only in the pool because it definitely won't last. Our golden actually hates the water, so we don't have to worry about her tearing it up. If you have a dog with a strong bite, or one that loves to chew, I'm not confident this will hold up very well. But I still really like it and it makes a great water toy. It's bright, and floats well. It was easy for my shepherd to grab onto without losing it. He loved it and wasn't very happy I took it from him when we headed back inside. If this one falls apart too soon, I may have to find a more durable pool toy. My camera was dead, but I managed to get some pictures from my phone. I included some photos after coming back inside showing the punctures and the broken stitching on one end after 2 hours of play and limited chewing. The damage was mostly from him just grabbing it from the water as I did not let him chew it outside the water for very long. Update 5/22 – added some photos after about 6 more hours of use. It fell apart around the tag and the inside ended up slipping right out. My shepherd ended up still fetching just the inside. I'm sad that it fell apart so quickly and will have to find something that won't unravel with such a short time of play.F.N.

Really quick delivery and looks great, a lot smaller than I imagined I bought a medium/large and it was just a bit bigger than my hand but it was too small to play with my dog with it she kept accidentally biting my fingers! She loved carrying it round and was her favourite toy for little bit, however she promptly chewed it to pieces within 4hours which I was very disappointed with as it was more expensive than other toys and needed something she wouldnt destroy. I bought it because she cant chew through her kong extreme so its not as durable as the other kong toys as it makes out, if youre looking for a durable toy for a dog that likes to chew I wouldnt recommend it for other dogs its a good toy.cjoh8519

I was a little weary ordering this bc some of the reviews said their dog chewed though it easy, but unless their dogs are like part shark and robot—-bc my dog is a big time on purpose destroyer of all toys and big time chewer, she destroyed all her stuff within 24 hours. Next day I went and bought this and she cant even put a dent in it, this toy is pretty tough! Im very pleased with its durability! I bought this toy a few years ago in store at Petco for my 50lb hound/pit mix, she's 5 now, and this has been her favorite toy by a long shot. I actually came on here to look at buying her a second one because she loses it on occasion, usually under furniture or down along the side of my bed, but once I find it for her, she's absolutely ecstatic and will run around in circles barking with joy to have it back. I don't even have to put anything in it, she just loves it as is, though I will on occasion put the kong sweet potato stuff'n in it if she's bored enough. It's also worth noting that she tends to chew straight through almost any toys I get her, but has only ever destroyed one kong toy and it was only because my 75lb husky has broken it first, so whenever I'm looking for new toys for her I go straight to the kong section.Kimiix

I have purchased many of these balls in the past for my terriers. They were fantastic. I am very disappointed with the new design of these. The squeaker broke within minutes of taking it out of the box. I also noticed that the feet are not solid rubber like they used to be either. I do not have the heart to take it away from my dog to return it, but I definitely would not recommend this to anyone that is looking for a good squeak ball for their dog.Dianne

This toy that we call our DNA toy has been a favorite through several dogs. It finally gave out and I was so relieved to find it at Petmate. For reasons I cannot explain, my two powerful chewers don’t try to destroy the DNA. They carry it around and bring it to us so that will pull on one end.Karen B

Rubber and bouncy. Great bounciness! Our dog is about to be 1 yr old and loves to chew. He bit the ears off this toy, but that's as far as it went. This funny-looking ball quickly became his go to toy when he wants interaction. He brings it to play catch and fetch. He's learned to catch it in mid-air despite the funny shape with the feet. Except for the bit-off ears it's good as new after one month of rough play. He loves this ball. Just ordered another to have on hand in case something happens to his first one. If you're looking for a squeaky toy, this might work for a bigger dog. Small and medium size dogs may not have a big enough jaw and enough jaw power to make it squeak well. Got this to entertain my 16 week old Border Collie puppy when I leave the house. He loved it but destroyed it within about 3 days. Broke through the canvas and got the stuffing out. Just not durable enough for the price! Also a bit of a design flaw that food gets stuck in the smaller pockets and with excessive saliva becomes total mush. Would not recommend.Jess

It is hard to find toys to entertain my light chewer but this is his absolute favourite. It has also continued to hold up to repeated use though the velcro needs a deep clean to get out the dog hair to maintain the stick every now and then. My 70lb. Furbaby just loves this little squeaky Monkey baby. He throws it up in the air, squeaks it, and chews on it. Thus far it has held up fine! My furbaby is a chewer on his babies too. I purchased this on a whim for my three year old Siberian Husky. He tends to be a super chewer and absolutely destroys cloth-based toys. As such, my husband and I usually stick to strictly hard, chew-resistant items. This toy ended up being the exception; it is a soft, rubber squeaky toy. I wanted to try it out, because I was curious how my dog would like the texture of this item, since it's quite spiky. Turns out… he loves it! The extra loud squeak sound plus the unique, porcupine-like texture makes it a fun object for us to play fetch with. We've had this for over two months, and he has not destroyed it. While I would not necessarily recommend this as a toy for dogs that are heavy chewers, I think this is a decent toy to test out with your pup. I have a boxer mix that eats everything other Kong toys included, but this one he has chewed and chewed and chewed and it is still in great shape after a week. I know a week is not long life for a dog toy like this but you see, he ate the other one in less than 30 minutes. an it was a kong circle ball. I purchased one of these for my daschund that loves balls. He carried his "squeak" everywhere. The first one was bought for Christmas and tore up in about a month. This one lasted a couple days. He adores these toys and I can't throw them away. He tracks them down and whines or barks until he has them. They are not worth the price at all. It is a great toy but needs a different ball that won't break right away. This toy is also unavailable now. Very disappointing. Please improve! They really are a great idea!Snoopy

Purchased this Chuckit! and am very disappointed. Within two weeks of play it started to fall apart. Mind you, this was not something we let our dog chew, it was only used for fetch. He is a 90 lb German Shepherd which shouldn't make a difference and if it does the company should say so.River Nana

My two labs are really hard on their fetch toys. Most frisbees are destroyed after one play session. They like to play tug-of-war. These frisbees are the best we have found in that they last a couple weeks. They're heavy and don't fly well, so we roll like a tire. I'm still looking for a tougher product, but for now this is the best we've found and my dogs love the rubbery ridges around the outside.CDRoam
