Stella is a 6 yr old Chi Terrier Mix. I took her to the NORTHWEST ANIMAL CARE HOSPITAL because she hadn't ate for 1 1/2 days, then threw up blood late in the evening and next day her poo had blood in it and allot of drops on the floor. After ex rays and blood tests Vet said she had a high level of bad bacteria in her gut. Started I/D Chicken on Feb 28 afternoon and evening. I got 3 cans and the first can was very dried out and crumbly. I called them and they said that is the way it is suppose to be? Really. I opened second can when 1st one was empty it was not dried out at all, so I don't think it is suppose to be so dried out like that exp date is 01/2021. I added Hot Water to it for a few days then I had my Son go to PetSmart and get the Only Natural Pet nutrition boost Chicken Bone Broth and been mixing it into the food since. She is on this 4 times a day every 4 hours for 10 days and can't have any dry food or treats until blood test is done again to make sure the bad bacteria is gone. Will be opening the 3rd can in the morning, so I will be getting more cans. She seems to be doing allot better, more energy, seems happier and playing.

I have a 3 y/o Border Collie and a 8 week old Border Collie. The 3 y/o has the worlds most sensitive stomach, he also has malabsorption syndrome, he was 35lbs when his actual weight should have been 44lbs. I brought Buddy ( 4lb Schnoodle ) home at 8 weeks old. He should grow to 14 to 20 lbs.. The breeder sent food home with him. Buddy's appetite was off because of the stress of the change from home to home. We had used the adult Orijen before and had switched to something with some grains in it. I bought this for Buddy and his appetite returned, He makes sure the crumbs that fall from his mouth are eaten up before he gets another kibble. Feed him as it is, a little at a time, ends up kind of like free feeding a large amount but not the same because I think the food stays fresher if not left out for the day. I buy the larger bag and vacuum pack weekly amounts. Buddy will get this food through his growth time and then we will add some grains to his food to try and avoid the heart problems that may be associated with grain free feeding.SJCSR

If you’re stumped about what to feed your dog, then you may want to give this a try. I’ve switched my dog’s food several times for various reasons, but have always come back to this one. I have a large breed dog who’s prone to dry skin and joint issues. For cost reasons, I began experimenting with cheaper brands. The ingredients weren’t as good as Origen, but they were satisfactory IMO. Well, first, his coat changed. It wasn’t as shiny and smooth. Then, he developed dandruff. Dry little flakes all over his beautiful black coat. The final straw was the limp. He began limping. A quick trip the vet let me know he had a sprain. He’s a large dog who likes to play rough. I knew this and yet gambled with his nutrition in order to save a few bucks, and he was the one suffering because of it. I left the vet feeling horrible, and immediately went to Petco and picked up Orijen. I ordered a leg brace for the sprain, a great Omega-3 supplement, and some bone broth. Needless to say, about a month in, and his coat is back to looking shiny, glossy, and beautiful. After a good grooming, the “dandruff” has not returned. And his mobility during therapy for his leg has improved 10 fold. This brand is worth every cent. If I need to make a substitution, it will be with the sister brand (Adana) only. I have a 7 year old Jack Russell Terrier that first started on Orijen Original when I took him off puppy food at around the age of 1. I fed him Orijen for several years and it worked well for him. He is very muscular and athletic and his coat is always very dense and healthy-looking. Our vet always comments on what perfect shape Ike is in. A couple years ago I started hearing about a condition called canine dilated cardiomyopathy and a possible connection to grain-free foods. Wanting to take no chances I switched Ike to a couple different foods containing grains. Now, Ike loves anything and wolfs any food put in front of him but the problem was cleaning up after him during potty time. I tried different grain-inclusive foods and with all of them his stools were looser and messier and harder to clean up. I recently read more about the DCM and the FDA investigation and found that a determination was made that DCM could not be linked to grain-free foods. I switched back to Orijen a couple weeks ago and the problem disappeared. Ike's poops are firm again and he is much easier to clean up after. It may sound like a crazy reason to recommend a dog food but when you are picking up tootsie rolls instead of messy soft-serve three times a day it makes a big difference! Both of my Weimaraner were losing their hair around 3 months ago. On the male it was much more noticeable. This had already happened a year and a half ago and the vet recommended us to change their food. Once they recovered, we went back to their regular meal which was more affordable for us. I aunt worked in pet stores in the past and found that it was common for AmStaff breeds to have allergies to certain ingredients, usually the fillers in cheaper foods. This is not to say that every one of them has these allergies, it was just a common theme I came across. Diamond Naturals doesn'thave those fillers. Your dog can eat the correct amount of food and be satisfied without constantly begging for more. My boy have healthy coat, teeth and no allergies to this food. Also, if you have a dog that weighs over 50lbs, I would always suggest to get the Large Breed food. These have more Glucosamine and Chondroitin and will help those large breed dogs have a longer happier life. Personally, I like the price point on Diamond Naturals compared to similar foods. Preface- I have a 6-month-old large breed puppy. (we're waiting for the Embark DNA results, but he is believed to be a mastiff shepherd mix). I had him on Purina One large breed puppy kibble, and I mixed it with Purina One healthy puppy lamb and long grain rice canned. He had the absolute worst smelling #2 in the history of ever in the world from a living creature. If a window was open and he went to see a man about a dog… it would waft into the house…then suddenly, I’m frantically running from room to room trying to find the results of an obvious code brown (there must be one because it is SO STRONG) … nope. It’s OUTSIDE! I’m being totally honest when I tell you that I have almost tossed my cookies several times when having to clean it up while we were still having accidents. I also think Karl was offended by it as well. He would complete #2, and then RUN to the deck, then sit and patiently wait to be let in lol true story. I decided it was the food. Did some research and discovered Diamond Naturals Large Breed Puppy. I decided on it for several reasons. I still mix with the Purina One Pup lamb. 3 weeks later, he is full-on it alone (kibble wise) and there is hardly any smell at all from current #2's! It also seems he has less waste to #2 with. Another bonus, because the food bricks this 6-month-old, 60lb, sweet handsome fur fur leaves…well, let’s just say “WHAT THE? switched to this from grain-free six fish which she loved.. pretty sure she loves the amazing grains version even more. she is so picky we went through more than 20 different brands/recipes (both wet and dry) since I adopted her just to find something she would eat happily and consistently. not even nomnomnow with their four different fresh-cooked recipes delivered monthly would she be happy to eat the rotating selection without getting sick of every single one of the options. with orijen six fish we finally found our holy grail. and i only have to buy the one bag with nothing taking up freezer/fridge space. and now amazing grains six fish is even better. and if she’s happy, i’m happy. only thing comparable is dr. bob goldstein’s wisdom catfish air dried dog food, but that’s almost the same price for less than half the amount. orijen amazing grains is much better value with similar results, at least as far as my dog’s discerning palate. 10/10 would recommend to feed any picky huskies.maje
My dog absolutely love this food. It's a new food for him so I went about transitioning him. I started by mixing it with his regular food, but he wasn't having it. He actually picked through it to only eat this new stuff. From my perspective I can tell the difference in how each one smells so I'm sure it smells more appetizing to him. I'm very happy with the ingredients myself as I always want to give my babies the best, and this one starts with all fresh or raw meats. This food has also regulated his potty sessions and we haven't had and emergency potty runs since he has started eating this. It has greatly helped with his skin irritations and his coat is starting to look shinier and healthier. I was very pleasantly surprised by how nutrient-heavy this product was and by how much product I received for the price! However, that being said, I gave it four stars merely because my furbaby refused to eat it LOL. I have just found out from many vets that grain free dog food and signature specifically has been in a study that has shown it leads to heart failure in dogs. That being said I have been feeding this to my dog for 4 years and she just was diagnosed with heart disease and was in heart failure. I had to put her down at just 5 years old. PLEASE FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR DOGS DO NOT BUY THIS! And to the owners of this company I absolutely hate that you think it is okay to continue to sell this product knowing the harm it is causing to animals. After 3 years of horrible itching solved only by Apoquel meds, I am extremely happy to say that my dog is off the Apoquel as well as all other required supplements and ailments just to prevent itching so much (coconut oil, probiotics, etc). He just gets Zignature Duck dog food twice a day and he itches MAYBE 2 minutes in a 12 hour period. That's beyond incredible. Worth every cent. Our dog seems to be allergic to a bunch of stuff resulting in problems with his ears and feet. Tried him on this as it’s free of chicken and beef after much consideration of the recent stories about the risks of grain free food. At the end of the day we decided the incidences of health problems were sufficiently low to be not significant. Dogs seem to like it and one of them’s a fussy eater.

We got a golden boy when he was 5 months old. He was so itchy, throwing up every day, and just always has diarrhea. I switched him from a chicken based food to this one and every symptom is gone! I have a 52lb, approximately 8 month old, American Bully. We have had him for 3 months. Originally we had him on Science Diet (that's what we got from the shelter we adopted him from). I wanted to switch him over to a better diet, and transitioned him to Natural Balance, salmon. He eventually stopped eating this food and started having bad BMs and threw up. I did some research and found this food. We transitioned him to it and he has been on it for about 1.5 months. He has done really well on this diet – his coat is softer, he has good BMs and loves meal time. I was getting a pup from a well reputable AKC Breeder who had Championship Bloodlines and she recommended this brand. She has had about 40+ years breeding her precious dogs and having this as their main course. I switched and I have been happier than ever! My puppy was soooo healthy! Vet runs have even been doing great! I got more for my older dog because the puppy formula convinced me of how well this brand is. I mean, even their coats are so silky and longer. I was very happy with victors food but this past time I had to get my two bulldogs different bag since they were out of stock of the one we always get. So I was told the Natural Pro was the same thing. After a week of feeding my boys with this food I notice a worm coming out of my Franchise butt, then I looked at their bowls that still had food and there was more worms coming out of the food. GSP owner here. It was time to move off Euk puppy blend, which the dog ate with vigor. Researching Victor, I found it to be a family owned company using quality ingredients, and it has a great sport dog owner reputation. Also, I couldn't find where it had been part of a conglomerate producer recall. I bought the small 5lb. Classic green bag to start the change over and my GSP loves Victor. It's been two weeks and she eats around the Euk puppy kibble in the bowl. Her stool never broke, and she only goes twice a day now. I've been feeding my dogs and puppies Victor for close to almost a year now. In 1 of the 40lb bags I purchased was a pocket knife with an open blade in the bag. I called the company immediately they asked for me to send knife back to them in Texas which I did. I'm writing this for everyone to please watch your bags I could have been injured reaching in to feed my dogs or much worse my dogs injured if I had just emptied the bag into their bowls. The company justified sending me 2 bags of dogfood for my issue. I decided to try Quiet Moments because I was having difficulty finding the brand recommended by my veterinarian. The only reason why I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because it took a little longer than expected for these to kick in. My dog has terrible anxiety and when it storms, she shakes and pants heavily and just paces everywhere. I had to look for something because her behavior was becoming so bad, I couldn't control her and she's normally well behaved. I saw the reviews and ordered these. I gave her two due to her size and after about half an hour, the shaking and heavy breathing stopped. She became so calm. I should have gotten these a long time ago! Last year my husband and I gave our 3 adult dogs the Spectra 9. They hadn't gotten the 9-way yet so we had to give the booster 30 days later. This was our first time giving shots. No problem after watching videos online and I called Durvet to confirm need for booster. Our dogs are generally jumpy, but this was quick & easy maybe because they were less nervous with us. They are now due for the vaccine and since they've already gotten the 9-way last time they will only need one shot this time. Rememer, if you are increasing/changing dosing it may need a booster. Best is to call Durvet and ask. The Spectra 9 saved us time & $$ going to vet. If you have a puppy you may want vet to handle it because of parvo.3 Crazy Dogs
Easy to use. 4 of the 5 shots I bought were great. I noticed a air pressure thing in the bottles but I figured out how to work with it and get the vaccine liquid all out. The only issue I had really was on the 5th shot the needle was lose and I didn't notice. It popped off after it was in my dog's skin from the pressure of the liquid. All the liquid poured out and I had to pull the needle tip out of my dog. She didn't care much but I'll have to get her a new shot to get her up to date, but her puppies all got thier shots. Dear NaturVet, Our 10 year old terrier has been absolutely terrified of fireworks for as long as I can remember. Every New Year's and 4th of July we can expect our neighbors to shoot off the really loud fireworks that send Bogart into a panic. When he's this anxious, he is capable of destroying our personal property, ripping carpet from it's backing, and is a threat to his own safety. Our vet prescribes a sedative that helps to calm him down. This year I learned about your product Quiet Moments Calming Aid with Melatonin at our local Petco when picking up some dog food. The demonstrator gave her personal testimonial about the product and I decided to give it a whirl since it was just a couple of days before the 4th. I was skeptical but cautiously optimistic. This was the first year Bogart was able to make it all the way through the 4th of July without turning into a quaking hot mess. We use Quiet Moments for an 80 lb Catahoula Leopard dog. Prescription meds from the vet made her aggressive so we tried Quiet Moments. We only give her at most 1 tablet at a time, far lower then the recommended dose on the bottle for her weight, and it works wonderfully through thunderstorms or a night of fireworks. It takes about 20 minutes to start working. It must taste good because she will eat it no matter how hard she's shaking or panting. I highly recommend trying it!Elaine315
We have 2 very nervous, skiddish Boxers. Ages 2 & 1. They’ve never had a long car ride over 1 hour. They pace & whine & don’t sit still. My vet gave us a sedative to use but I really didn’t want to drug them not knowing how they’d react. A friend recommended these chews & gave me a few to try before our long road trip. They literally went from shaking & jumping at every noise to totally relaxed. We’re moving & driving from NY to Fla. (also anxiety provoking experience) & we gave them chews about 1 hour into the drive waiting to see if it would be necessary. Almost immediately calmed down. Laid down & rested or slept the 13 hours we drove the 1st day yet were alert to eat & drink & get out to run around when we stopped. Definitely lasted at least 12+ hours. Really cute. My mum thinks hes great. The only trouble is she cant switch him off by herself so one day when she fancied a snooze, she was telling him to be quiet, not realising that her speaking was keeping him going. She ended up putting him in the washing machine to muffle the noises.. luckily she didnt switch the machine onjojoe2112
I ordered this after seeing a review of it on morning television. It has been a great hit and the recipient loves her very much. She has helped enormously with speech and provides some fun back into life. I have yet to see her as she lives a long way away but hope to visit after the 17th May. The good thing about her is that she doesn't need looking after or make a mess or entangle her lead around legs which aren't very steady. Money well spent I think.Gail L
