48 Inch Dog Crate Tray For Sale (2024 Update)

I actually bought these as litter-catching trays to go under the cat boxes. I have an old cat who sometimes misses and even when he doesn't, he has a habit of tracking litter everywhere. I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. I was expecting cheap-ish plastic but these are more rubberized and much better quality than I expected. Very happy with them. I'm sure they'd work great in crates as well.Elissa

I bought this as a replacement due to my original one cracking. It seems to be holding up really well. The only downside to this product is the fact that I bought the wrong size. I ordered the 30 inch pan. It came in a box that says 27 inch pan. The problem is that the width is only 18 1/2 inches leaving at least 2 inches where it is too short for the crate. I am not sure how to make sure I get one to fit. My Midwest Kennels are in great shape but older. I am trying to find the right size to order. Have to have one at least 20 inches wide. The 27 1/2 would work from back to front of crate.Christine3239

It is made better than the original crate pan, however, getting the proper width was a problem. I set the pan inside the old pan or else there would be too much of a gap that my dog could get hurt. I don't know why no one had the proper width. Length is fine.My crate is 24 inches wide. Maybe they don't make them like that one anymore, as it is over 10 years old.Gazer

Fits perfectly and is of really good quality. It's not a cheap and flimsy replacement; it's pretty thick and rigid. It's a little more than I wanted to spend, but it's consistent with the going rate it appears. I would definitely recommend this product if you need a replacement for your crate.treycook702

Size is smaller than expected leaving a considerable gap been it and the sides of the crate (measured before ordering the pan). However as I use it with a crate pad larger than necessary, that isn’t a big concern. It appears much sturdier than the original it replaces. I expect it should last longer.Carol

Perfect for what I needed them for! I use these for cat food and water under a counter. I have two side by side, one with the water dish and one with the dry food. They fit perfectly (rather than sticking out as my last trays did), so now we can walk normally in front of the counter without having to step over the trays. And I don't have to worry about the water dish over flowing, because I know that the water will be captured in the tray and not end up all over my new floor! The tray has a small edge, about an inch tall. The tray isn't as thick as the boot tray I was using, but it still works fine. I put stick-on felt feet on the bottom so when I slide them in and out they move easily. Very happy!Kim

It's the easiest crate to put together. I didn't read directions and so easy to fold and store. Its really all ready put together just unfold. Easy.2longislandny

This has been a big help in my house for my cats litter. I have been struggling so much keeping up with cleaning litter all over my house until I decided to get this tray after my first tray broke. I set it up in my cats crate and it fits just perfect and its better in getting all the litter in one placeKelly

I bought the medium size crate for my husky/pit bull mix. It got here super fast and was undamaged. All the parts fit and instructions were easy to follow. I was glad it came partially assembled. I put it together by myself and that is saying alot, because as a 60 year old woman it was pretty heavy! I did zip tie the top shut and also use a plastic coated tie out cable to reinforce the door. I was unsure the locks would remain shut if he wanted to get out. My dog seems to appreciate the space inside the crate. I was worried about the floor wiring, so I put a thick, flat quilt in there to cover it. I have been using it for 5 days and so far, it has been good. I am happy he has more space and the strength of the crate seems to be good. I suppose we shall see over the long haul, but at this point, it's working well. I would recommend this product to anyone and I'm saving up to buy 2 more for my other big dogs. It gives me peace of mind to know he is safe, comfortable and contained when I have to leave my home.Tina C.

I wish this was the first crate I bought for my dog. She wrecked 2 of the wire metal crates and even escaped from one. I have no idea how she damaged the other crates without hurting herself in the process. NOW! I do not worry about that. She tries to chew on the bars but only manages to peel some of the dark coating off. She is 60 lbs and she shuffles her bedding around a bit but she can not bend the bars or move the placement of the crate in any way. Two of the bars were bent during shipping so one of the screw placements does not align. But that has not decreased the integrity of the crate at all. This crate has made me a lot more relaxed to know that when I leave the dog is safe. It's also really easy to collapse and fold up and to add or remove the wheels. I'll be traveling with the dog and the crate shortly and am confident that it will be easy. Thank youMega

I purchased this kennel five years ago. When I rescued our Border Collie they told me she would escape every kind of kennel. And I thought, “She won’t break out of a metal kennel.” Well, she tore through two metal kennels, bent them beyond use, and hopped or walked them across rooms!! So, I began the search. I bought this steel kennel, with two action locking, and “Bailey” could not get out of it! She had a horrible first year of life and now we have been loving on her for five years. She is still afraid of men. And now Bailey uses her steel kennel as her “Safety Place”. If we have company over or a repair man come in, she “tells” them what she thinks, Ha, and then retreats to her kennel. We just returned from a 42 day vacation where we slept at different KOAs and hotels and the kennel came with us!! We simply loaded it in the back of the truck and she knew she was safe everywhere we went. It’s on rollers so no problem getting it in and out. I have the 36” size. I’m a lady, 5’3”, in my 60’s and I can handle moving the kennel. It’s a bit heavy I admit, but once it’s on the ground it rolls like a charm. Definitely worth every penny!Debi C.M.

Good quality heavy duty cage for my Doberman puppy. The chewed the wires off the regular cage. Only concern is the tray goes under the metal grate at the bottom of the cage. Not good at all. He got his foot pad/toe caught in it. Also his collar caught in it. I forced the tray to go into the cage on top of the grate. Problem solved. Need to have an option of where to put it. Would recommend with supervision of your dog. No collars on when grate is not covered. Good tough cage. Neighbor bought same fir her bull dog puppy same age as my dobie. She likes it also. *The price was very reasonable and the size/construction was surprisingly sturdy. *As an added bonus, our cage has a side door that wasn't advertised. We almost didn't purchase this one since it appeared to only have the one door at the end. But our cage has a second door that swings out from the side panel. *We have always taken small (4" size) zip ties and secured the corners of our cages to provide added strength – in case dogs paw at the cage. I would still recommend zip ties although the cage seems to snap in place tightly. Of course, if you frequently fold down the cage, replacing zip ties can become cumbersome. *The plastic pan on the bottom is thinner than our last cage, but our dogs have not chewed or scratched at them previously, so this won't be a problem for us. *The carrying handle appears strong enough to lift the empty cage and will be useful. *Upper and lower slide latches are provided on each door. All latches have a rod bent at the end to help secure the latch. In the past, our dogs learned to shake the door until the latch slid over but this new design prevents the latch from sliding open.KYMom

I bought one of these and liked it so much that I just purchased another one. Both are the 42 inch size.I have 2 older 42 inch similar type kennels but they are a different brand and I paid a lot more for them. I think that the BestPet brand wire pet cage/crate/kennels are just as good as the more expensive ones that I have. In fact I was able to purchase two of the BestPet kennels for what I paid for one of the older kennels I have. I like the latches on the Best Pet kennels. They have a little "crook" on the end that prevents the latch from sliding open accidently. But it is easy for a human to open and close. I am an older woman and the kennels are easy for me to move around to the areas I desire to put them. They are sturdy, but easy to handle,and have the plastic slide out tray at the bottom for easy cleaning, I was unsure about this Brand at first because the price was so GOOD that I figured something had to be flawed with this kennel but I was very wrong. I do think it is a good idea to buy a couple of extra plastic trays or if you are crafty cut a piece of heavy duty plastic to have on hand when you change out a tray for cleaning. Plastic is just plastic so a heavy dog could cause damage to the tray .But the trays I got with my kennels are not flimsy at all. The kennel comes with a plastic handle that can be attached at the top. I live in a rural and at night the coyotes and other undesirable critters come out and I have had problems with Tom cats just mauling my young cats. So now I can put my kittens or young cats and puppies in kennels at night and I don't have to worry and fret about what is happening in the dark to them. Also, this will save me money in Vet bills. The cost of just one of the large kennels is about the cost of an office visit to the vet so I am very pleased to wake up each day and know that all of my "babies" are safe and happy. Included with the kennel is a wire divider that can be put in the kennel so you can keep pets separated from each other. I had one particular cat that had an injury that seemed to outsmart me and escape from any cage I tried to keep her in. She can't get out of this Best Pet kennel. I will buy a couple more of the 42 inch size kennels to have on hand because the price and quality is so great and I plan to buy a couple of the smaller wire ones to transport cats and pups to the vet in. I find the plastic cat carriers to be attractive but not so practical when you have a heavy cat or a "wild" cat or unhappy dog that needs an injection from the vet before it can be removed from the carrier to be tended to. These kennels come with a very fair 3 month Limited Warranty. (Send in the Warranty Card !!) Our dog has a problem with her pancreas and was not able to hold her bladder all day. The grid has really helped allowing her to stay dry even if she has an accident. We were really not sure what we were going to do puppy pads wouldn't work because she tear them up.BellaAEL

We love this box!! Our red bone blue tic whom weight 95 lbs fits perfect in it and out two gsp fit together in the other side!! Instructions were good but brief, missing some smaller details on placement of blocks, also short you about 6 pieces of wood that need to be cut making the process a little confusing. Also had to bend the tabs for the front door to fit on the wood frame since they were bent inward. Received the plastic trays in good time. When I received the trays they were of such cheap plastic that the edge was broken off both of them. I would have returned them but I had no choice. I was up against a deadline and I used them anyway. I will replace them with something of higher quality at a later date. Cheap brittle plastic. I wouldn't recommend the tray.TimE

I purchased a damaged tray at a small discount from the store, thinking the crack on the corner lip of the tray wouldn't matter. It didn't even last through the first use. My separation anxiety dog expanded the cracks and tore it up. :/ They didn't have any non damaged in stock. Don't purchase the damaged ones!Crazy dog mom

I was so excited about the fantastic sales price on the crates! Ordered an i Crate in the large size, before I did the research. After research I realized I ordered the lowest-grade crate, not what I wanted. Tried to cancel the order to reorder the higher-grade Ultima Pro. After two calls, they did send a cancel through to see if it would work. (It didn't.) I didnt want to risk waiting and missing the sale so I ordered the Ultima Pro, had to be medium, because large was out of stock. Just opened it and, like others, got one that can't even be put together because it's so out of square. It can't even be bent into place it's so bad. This is one reason I HATE buying online. The only good part is I can at least return it to the local Petco instead of having to ship it back.Lotsa animals here

This product is the same as Pet Edge. While you can pay less at Pet Edge for the product, their shipping charges are astronomical making it MUCH more expensive than purchasing from Wayfair. The manufacturer or vendor does not package this product well–Wayfair is not the manufacturer or vendor, so I've had several arrive broken. YET, Wayfair has them send out a replacement every time–quickly and without any pain. I highly recommend Wayfair!!Renee

Great weigh plastic, very sturdy and a nice finish makes it easy to keep clean. We use a squeegee to collect the waste to one crner and makes it very easy to simply flush down the toilet. Wash this product off with a hot spray and some no rinse disinfectant and you are done!Patricia
