As I previously stated I bought two of these harnesses in two different sizes. A small and a medium as I was not sure which would work. The small is a great fit for my 13 lb Shih Tzu. But this is summer and she is shaved down. I am going to use the medium size for winter to go over her sweaters and coats. She is also is not shaved down for colder weather so I tend to buy larger sizes for the colder seasons. Besides the price was great.Marlene D

What a fantastic harness! My 90 pound dood is a consummate outdoorspoodle and now he can pack his own water, snacks, and frisbee thanks to the bungee cord feature. The harness is wonderfully customizable. I have a Huge, deep chested giant pal who is wearing the 2-3X size. The straps are incredibly adjustable at the shoulder, neck, and across the girth to fit a wide variety of pup shapes. I really really wanted to like this harness. My lab/pit doesn’t so much “pull” as she is just a speed walker. I’ve tried just about everything to curb this insistent need to be ahead of me. I’ve tried various collars, harnesses, head leads, and even took her to training classes. That and because my dog had an odd barrel shaped chest trying to get a good measurement for her often doesn’t go too well, and as much as I wanted in like this harness all it ended up doing was leaving bad sores under her armpits, which isn’t so much the fault of the product as much as it’s the fault of my dog who insists on being ahead of me no matter how fast I walk (and I tend to walk at the pace of a light jog!) Alas I’ve just put her back in her old harness, but perhaps when she’s older and has hopefully calmed down, I can then put her in something like this. Our five-month-old golden retriever puppy was starting to get really strong, and her oppositional pulling (or dragging) when using just a collar or typical chest harness was making walks less than fun for everyone. The dog trainer recommended a shoulder harness like this, and when paired with a runner's leash (and positive reinforcement), it makes for a much more relaxed and enjoyable walk. We have two of these, one small and one extra small because neither will fit a French Bulldog properly (Purchased the first one based on her measurements and the chart). We use the extra small since it is the best fit. We have noticed chafing under our dog's front legs where the halter rubs her, she now has no hair there on either side. The purpose of the front leash ring is to discourage pulling but what we have found is that the harness pulls to one side, twists around the dog, and pulls up under the leg opposite of the leash side. The harness loosens as the dog pulls, so you must keep adjusting it or it will be too loose. Our dog is white. Very effective harness for a small dog. It is lightweight, easily adjustable, and has reflective borders on the edges. I use the space under the latch to lift him up in the car. If I could give this harness zero stars, I would in a heartbeat. I purchased this less than a month ago, and tonight it broke with a 35 pound husky puppy in size medium (supposedly for dogs up to 50 lbs). One strap broke and he was instantly out of the harness and off he went. It was one of the scariest moments of my life. Thankfully we were able to call him over to us after sprinting to catch up to him, but there is absolutely no reason this should have broken. We only use it for public outings and like I said, have owned it for less than a month and made sure to purchase the proper size. It is incredibly panic inducing to watch your 5 month old puppy sprint away from you after you put him in something that is supposed to be safe and comfortable for him. As you can see in the attached photos, it looks like one flimsy string was holding this part of the harness together. Overall, pretty disappointed and hoping I just received a faulty product as no one should have to worry about their brand new harness breaking.rvchel
Not recommended my dog was able to get loose 3 x’s. I made sure it was on properly. The second time I double checked that the harness was fitted and nice and snug.
