I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. Perfect for what I needed them for! I use these for cat food and water under a counter. I have two side by side, one with the water dish and one with the dry food. They fit perfectly (rather than sticking out as my last trays did), so now we can walk normally in front of the counter without having to step over the trays. And I don't have to worry about the water dish over flowing, because I know that the water will be captured in the tray and not end up all over my new floor! The tray has a small edge, about an inch tall. The tray isn't as thick as the boot tray I was using, but it still works fine. I put stick-on felt feet on the bottom so when I slide them in and out they move easily. Very happy!Kim
It is made better than the original crate pan, however, getting the proper width was a problem. I set the pan inside the old pan or else there would be too much of a gap that my dog could get hurt. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice
I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! The product is sturdy but the screen door is not strong enough to stop a dog from scratching a hole in it. The zippers are weaker and not large enough. The frame is strong and easy to put together. I would add a divider to support a puppy through his stages of life and maybe a flap that covers the the bottom half of the door screen as an option if your pup is a scratcher. We looked thru many foldable traveling dog crates. So far, very happy with it. Several things I specifically looked for. Good quality zipper that clipped at the top when zipped. I am basing this review on inspection of the Crate, I have not actually used it yet. I bought it for a future trip. The crate appears to be well made. It was easy to set up and to take back down. This will be great for a crate trained dog. I would definitely not purchase or use this for a dog that is not crate trained. They would definitely be able to escape and ruin this with ease. I got this for a ~60lbs. labrador retriever and he seems to love it. Big enough on the inside for him to stand, turn around, and lay comfortably. It's sturdy, but not so heavy that it doesn't move around a little bit when he changes positions. It was easy enough to put together. A couple of the plastic screws didn't seem to have the ends filed off all the way (hard to describe but basically instead of a flat end, the plastic stuck out a little extra on one side instead of being flat across), which made them harder to fit straight through the holes in assembly. Fortunately, they send a few extra, so I had enough that were straight enough to put the crate together. Also, just be aware of the plastic bottom – I ran my hand across the bottom to clean it before putting it together and scraped my hand on a piece of plastic that stuck up a little (it was like a little ring manufacturing imprint). I filed it down before letting my dog in so he wouldn't get scraped on it, but just something to be on the look out for.Labbadabbadoo
The sizing recommendation by the manufacturer seems to be off. Dimensions are not the actual dimensions if you were to take a measuring tape and measure yourself. For my 55 lb border collie mix who sits at 27 inches tall and stands at 37 inches long from nose to base of tail a large would not fit. I ordered the XX Large and that is a way better fit where she can actually sit without being hunched over. This was purchased for air travel as well so I want her to be as comfortable as possible. The material seems relatively durable but it did arrive with a large crack so I will be exchanging. Compared to the Petmate Sky Kennel, this kennel seemed a little bit thinner in material and not as study. However, I order a Sky Kennel in a size Large so perhaps a sizing difference might have affected this. Also, currently, the Sky Kennel is available for a better price on Amazon but not in the size I am looking for.Zozobozo
Nicely built, easy to assemble (all holes line up for screws, about 10 with butterfly nuts).You get extra screws and rubber nuts. The cage design for opening and closing is nice and easy to use. Most of all, our dog took to it the first time. We had the S, same company. Uma is getting big now. Of course, we chose the same company and same product, just L in size. When a puppy, accidents do happen. It is easy to clean. Uma is about 20lbs now and can stand up in the kennel. Still plenty of height room. She may become 30-40lbs and this kennel will be all we need. Our use is for nighttime and when we go out. We have the gray which does not stand out. It is a neutral color and looks good in your kitchen, bedroom or where you keep your dog. The kennel also provides a rectangular cage on both sides on the top half so the dog can look out. This kennel is strong. The tie-down holes, one per corner, go through both the top half and the bottom half of the kennel, which is an excellent improvement over no tie down holes. Another improvement over the old version is that water cannot collect on top since there are no bowl-like indentations on the top. The door is heavy construction, and can be mounted as Left or Right swing. I put the kennel on the passenger's side of the vehicle so that I can use the empty space behind the driver for carrying a jug of water, leashes, and other stuff. The advertised length is 40", but be aware that the usable length or "inside" length is 33". This is adequate if your dog is 33" or less from the top of the tail to the end of his front nails, while lying in the "sphinx" position. ONE CON: There are no drainage holes in the bottom half. I plan to drill my own (well, get the hubby to do it). A suggestion for the manufacturer: Make a Truck Version of the kennel. It would be the same as this except for two changes: (1) Add drain holes, and (2) Make the top rear panel (opposite the door) from transparent acrylic, so the driver can see through it. This would be a safety feature, as the blind spot would be reduced.Karen
Excellent dog kennel/crate, easy to assemble and relatively lightweight, but strong. Came with extra fasteners for the top and bottom sections, which I have put aside for possible future use. Also has nice hand hold areas underneath the rim on both sides of the kennel for carrying/lifting.

First a foremost, I was really upset that I had to shell out over a hundred bucks for a dog cage. But since we have a brute escape artist that kept destroying her old kennel and hurting herself during the process. With this kennel, it has stopped all escapes, no signs of giving or stress. She's made it her home even when she doesn't need to be there.it comes with removable caster wheels for easy relocation, or take them off and leave it stationary while cutting a few inches off the overall height,The door is easily removable and attaches back on in a matter of a few seconds. We were worried about the meshed ground and her getting her toes caught in it, but I comes with a removable tray that's meant for the bottom, but we placed it over and that's her floor. The tree is just a tad under 5 foot. Not a problem for our little living room. The LED lights can be very bright–but you can unplug the LED lights! It still has 8 different light mod's even with the LED's unpluged. The longer branches on the bottom will not hold heavy ornaments. Light weight ornaments and garland is fine. It really is pretty even with out ornaments. The fiber optics make it a very colorful tree, even in the day time. The LED's are to brite for our liking. Not a problem for us we just unpluged them! Hey it's a 60 dollar tree. We are happy with it. You will have to fold down all of the branches they are not hinged like some of the higher dollar trees. It filled out nice! Perfect for what I needed them for! I use these for cat food and water under a counter. I have two side by side, one with the water dish and one with the dry food. They fit perfectly (rather than sticking out as my last trays did), so now we can walk normally in front of the counter without having to step over the trays. And I don't have to worry about the water dish over flowing, because I know that the water will be captured in the tray and not end up all over my new floor! The tray has a small edge, about an inch tall. The tray isn't as thick as the boot tray I was using, but it still works fine. I put stick-on felt feet on the bottom so when I slide them in and out they move easily. Very happy!Kim
It is made better than the original crate pan, however, getting the proper width was a problem. I set the pan inside the old pan or else there would be too much of a gap that my dog could get hurt. I actually bought these as litter-catching trays to go under the cat boxes. I have an old cat who sometimes misses and even when he doesn't, he has a habit of tracking litter everywhere. I've been looking for a large, flat shallow tray to go under the box and these are perfect. I bought the medium-sized tray. I was expecting cheap-ish plastic but these are more rubberized and much better quality than I expected. Very happy with them. I'm sure they'd work great in crates as well.Elissa

I just received this cage and the pan is broken, the bottom of the cage is bent. Wrote to the company as i want to return it and not sure i want a replacement ,it is really poorly made. I have bought several crates, several different brands. I prefer the single latch, this crate is very well made. However the I crate is heavier. I have french bulldogs and like both brands. The tray is very good quality and the door opening is a little undersized but not bad. Overall I would buy this crate again. It is lighter weight and very portable. Happy with this crate.573ranch
I returned this because I didn't realize it had a metal tray and I thought it would rust and be chilly for a puppy we have coming. (It's winter time as I write this review.) Also I didn't find the handle that's mentioned. I would say the quality is medium by today's standards which let's face it are crappy. The gauge on this would be fine for a smaller dogs like Westies, Mini Schnauzers, Mini Poodles. The door hooks have a curve at the end which would make them secure. I got this yesterday in a pick up order. When I got home and put it together I noticed that one of the post for screws was broken. I was able to still use it instead of dragging it back to the store for a return. But I’m disappointed because you pay almost 100 for something that is already damaged. This crate was amazing for the first couple of weeks. Then our small mixed breed power chewer with separation anxiety was able to chew 2 large holes in the side of it. He's only spent about 40 hours total in it. I dont work, so he only spends a couple of hours at a time on the weekends in it. The rest of the time, its just his "bedroom". One of the holes he chewed is large enough foe him to stick his head through. Looks like we will be looking into the gray ones with the really small holes and military grade plastic. IF YOUR PUP IS A CHEWER AND HAS ANXIETY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRATE. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO EAT EIGHT THROUGH IT. I wish we had saved the money used on this crate and put it towards the other type. Metal crates don't work either. I purchased two of these "KennelMaster 24" Folding Black Wire 2 Door Dog Crate" and have had them for several months. What a great buy! Super easy to set up: they come preassembled and all folded up. They unfold and set up in a minute. I have one for each of my dogs: a Maltese/Bichon mix and a Chihuahua mix (who looks just like a small German Shepherd). We use their crates for the night time and when we leave the house. These crates are made of very nice thick metal. Incredibly sturdy. The latches are well made and smart-doggy proof. I like that the bottom is solid and can be easily removed and sanitized. My dogs have scratched and nibbled on the bars daily and the crates have held up like new. There are two doors on each crate: one door on a long side and one door on a short side. There's also a handle on top which makes it really easy to move around when I am relocating it, transporting the dogs, or just moving the crates to vacuum and clean underneath. My crates also came with some additional wire dividers that I don't use. I believe they are for making the crate smaller when you have a puppy and removing it as your dog grows. Crates can be really expensive so I was glad to find these at such a bargain price, especially because they are so well made. I know these crates will last many, many years. I have no negative things to say about these dog crates. I would highly recommend them! Please note: I do not put both dogs in the same crate, though they do both fit. Great weigh plastic, very sturdy and a nice finish makes it easy to keep clean. We use a squeegee to collect the waste to one crner and makes it very easy to simply flush down the toilet. Wash this product off with a hot spray and some no rinse disinfectant and you are done!Patricia

The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I was quite disappointed in the whole experience. Apparently the merchandise was supposed to be checked if the box was damaged and that wasn’t done in this case.Janice
I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. I bent it slightly and it works much better. I haven't had that issue with any of the previous MidWest crates I've used. I'm a MidWest crate fan.Eddie09
We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! I wish I could share photos of how bent up this crate is and the cracked floor liner. IWifeMomLove
I almost did not purchase this crate due to the multiple bad reviews. Glqd I purchased it qnyway. Other than the people who recieved damaged or warped crates, I'm not sure why there are so many reviews claiming it is difficult to assemble. I'm 4'11", 90 lbs, had 3 kids under 5 in the same room, and I assembled it alone without any real difficulties. The aforementioned children are in one of the review photos to show the enormity of the crate. The 9 month old Great Dane is in the other photo. Luckily for me, besides a slightly warped top piece, none of my pieces were bent, warped, or broken. Took about 30-40 minutes to assemble. Certainly would have been faster if I'd had someone helping, like the manual recommends.Brooke
