I'm ordering my second bed. This bed is exceptional! It's durable and indestructible! The first bed is over a year old and just worn out. My two Labradors sleep on this bed together every night. It has no zippers for them to pull, which is a huge bonus. There's not one tear, pull, hole, or loose thread anywhere on the bed. It's easy to vacuum, which we do every day, usually more than once a day. I throw it in the washing machine & dryer regularly and it holds up perfectly – no fabric twisting or pulling. It's just worn out at this point, so I'm ordering a new one. We've had dogs for decades and this is THE BEST dog bed we've every bought!CamoBedisGreat

Just got it about a week ago. If you don't have a chewer this bed is great. Unfortunately, I do, so he did manage to chew the bottom of the bed and pull out some of the cushioning. It looks great on top but the bottom is ruined. Holds up well to dirt and water. Wipes clean easily.2 pups

This bed has lasted through 2 Great Danes. It is still in perfect shape. I love the support it gives to their joints. My last Dane was 140 lbs. it was the only bed that supported his weight. I don’t anticipate needing another bed for quite some time, but if I do…I would purchase again.Christina J

My dog seems to like the bed, I do love how thick the dog bed is. The only minor thing was the large size was a little smaller than our existing large dog bed. My dog Shamira is not able to stretch out her full body, but I would recommend if your dog is at least 60 lbs. and up, buy the XL bed especially since the bed is sitting higher. I was hesitant to order a bed online because you can't really tell the quality of it and I didn't want to pay a fortune for junk. Then a sale came along as well as an additional coupon and it was a deal that I couldn't really pass up. Fortunately, the risk paid off. This bed is fantastic. It really is as described. I could sleep on it, and it's huge. I noticed some people complaining about the noise when your dog moves, but honestly, I don't even notice it most of the time. I got the XLarge 54" x 36" for my Great Pyrenees and she loves it. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough for her, but it seems to work out just fine – even if she stretches out. She's 13, so she's a old girl with arthritis.Her old bed did not survive our move, so we got this one (which frankly, did not even come close to the quality of this one). We've had it a week and already she seems to be getting around better. She really hasn't left it since. She's on the lighter side for a pyr at only 80 lbs, but the bed does not collapse with her weight. I weigh twice that and it supports me if I lie on it as well. 🙂 If I had anything to complain about, it would be the shipping/packing. The box was almost collapsed/destroyed and virtually open when it arrived. Other than that, I'm very happy with the purchase.smileyriley

Love this dog bed. I have a 80lb lab and I bought the large. I thought that it looked small but I put it together it was fine. My lab loves it. The mesh bottom attracted me to this bed because he swims and lays down on his bed soaking wet. It dries quick and it’s easy to wash.Kristin

My dog loves this cot and I think it’s pretty great too, especially since she loves it. The only change I would recommend to the company though is for the stuffing in the bolster to be bagged so that the bolster cover could easily be washed. My dog loves her bolster, but when she gets drool on it, it’d be nice if the stuffing was self-contained inside to be pulled out easily for the cover to be washed quickly as it says it’s machine washable.Jerseygalrocker

This is a well made dog bed. Easy to put together, very comfortable for my dog, stays cleaner than other dog beds, easy to remove and wash. I have a labrador retriever and initially got the large size, but exchanged it for the jumbo. The large size was a good size, but upon watching him sleep, i found out he likes to stretch out. Yes the jumbo size is very large and requires a lot of space in your room, but it is worth it to see him stretch out or curled up in his very comfy bed. A little pricey but he is worth it. I tried other beds and they are of inferior quality and won't last long. I highly recommend it. For your reference my dog is about 73 Lbs and measured 40 inches when laying down and lightly curled. Two dogs could fit in the jumbo bed if they decide to curl and lay next to each other. But not for stretching in a hot summer evening.Love Labradors 2

My 13 year old Lab was going for spirited 2 mile walks 4 months ago but alas, age it seems has finally caught up with my dearest and closest friend. His hips and knees have been noticeably troubling him, especially in the morning after a long sleep. He’s always had doggy beds but now more than ever I want him to be as comfortable as possible. This bed is FANTASTIC and my good boy loves it! He is 74 lbs but tall and lanky. The large measurements were too small for him, if you look in the picture the golden retriever in the large has zero room to stretch out. I am so glad I went with the XL. My sweet boy can lounge and stretch and get as comfy as his heart desires. I ordered the brown color but have a small blanket draped over it in the image. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase, the side pillows are icing on the cake, my boy is in high heaven!Babyduck

Great quality and fast shipping! My dog loves it! Literally got it the next day it was shipped! My dog is a 12 lbs shihtzu and I got him a small which is the perfect size. But, I would want it to be a little bit bigger so that there’s some extra space.Evvv

My dog is still warming up to this bed. The mattress didn't expand as much as I was hoping after pulling it out of the box all rolled up. This is our second Urban Sprawl for our senior dog. We have one on each floor and our dog loves it. The firm side really helps with our dog’s mobility issues as she has weak hind legs and trouble standing up. If your dog is over 50 lbs, I recommend the large size as the medium did not fit our 55 lbs collie very well. She technically could fit on the medium but due to her mobility issues, she had difficulty centering herself on the bed and often times half of her would not be on the bed. No size issue with the large, but it would be nice if there was an in between size – small, medium and large.Michael S.

I purchased this bed in October 2015. It has held up really well, even with the occasional wash (1-2x/year). My Westie seems to like the bed, though I notice him using it more when it is hot (versus the other more plush beds he prefers when it is colder). I bought this bed at a discount, and honestly, that probably plays into my happiness with the purchase. I am not sure that I feel this bed is 'worth it' at the full retail price. The rubber bottom is a nice aspect, particularly if you are using this bed outside, but I am not sure it is needed for indoor use. The washability is best out of any of the 4 beds we have. For someone who does go camping or is looking for a bed for outside, this bed is probably worth it, but if you are looking for a bed for in the house and don't need to wash it often, there may be better options in the $100-150 price range.Kellie W.

2 huskys that love beds show no interest in the bed, which is the main reason for 2 stars. The bed is also way smaller than I was expecting but that is my bad for not measuring. Positives: 1. It’s big enough for my largest dog (Rhodesian Ridgeback/Great Dane mix) 2. It’s very soft on the inside (bottom lining) 3. My cat approves Negatives: 1. It gets dirty quickly and is too cumbersome to throw in the washing machine as suggested). 2. Although it is soft, it loses any fluffiness or support after a few uses. It’s like having a soft blanket under you (it’s a barrier from the tile, but you still are feeling the hard surface of the tile). 3. The sides of the bolster are a canvas like material. Not soft or inviting for my dogs who like to nestle into the sides.MGRM

This is my 2nd Majestic Pet bagel bed. I have 3 toy breeds and a oversized recliner so the 40" bagel bed has room to sit next to me. There is plenty of room for all 3 the sleep in the 40". It is super soft, cuddly and they get all snuggled in and sleep for the night. My 1st bed was the velour all over, and the new one is canvas with the sherpa bottom. I knew it was time for a new bed because they were choosing different beds that were softer. The old bed is more than 3 years old and doesn't stay fluffed up very long any more. When put the new bed next to me they got excited and jumped in. I can't say enough good things about the Majestic bagel beds. Most beds I have bought usually go flat with in 6 months to a year. Magestic stays full and cuddly for a couple of years. I am very happy and so are my babies. They will have sweet dreams in their new soft bed for awhile. I love that Magestic has some new styles of bed now, I will be looking into them for thoopse times that the babies want alone time for naps.hrlydva

Looks as described and so far is working out. I appreciate the padding on the underside of this bed (and I’m sure my little guy does as well), although it is never on anything harder than a plush carpet. Fabric is softer than anticipated, which is a plus! I would say that the only gripe I have at the moment is a minimal one: until my little guy “breaks it in,” it is fairly lopsided. He does favor one end over the other but no doubt it’ll flatten, in a good way, soon. Bottom line: We recommend this bed!Kellie

The product is great. It is well made. My gut babies love it. They love to play in it with there toys. It is large enough for my four babies to lay in it together. This dog bed is great for both of our dogs (lab and golden retreiver for size reference). They will both use it throughout the day and enjoy the little space to store all their toys! We keep it out, but it is meant to slide under a bed to hide-away during the day.kbraptor

Our dog is 27lbs; roughly 3lbs overweight. We think she is a Shiba Inu mix. She can stretch out decently in the jumbo size without it being too large, and loves laying against the sides. This is the first bed she ever liked. When its not in use it easily stores under the bed so your not tripping on it while your cleaning and making your bed.ChrisR

We bought 2 of these dog beds. When we got home we noticed only one of the beds actually had the foam mattress, the other was cut up foam pieces in the bottom of the bed. We returned the faulty one and the rest available were the same. We could not find the bes that actually had the one piece foam. Are the beds supposed to have the solid orthopedic foam or just pieces of what appears to be cut up foam? Beware of when you buy this that you get the correct one.Annette

One of my great danes is 7 1/2. He threw out his poor old back a day before I ordered this bed it was absolutely awful to see him hurt so bad. It was his old bed. I ordered this after his vet appointment and I was relieved to see big barker shipped it the same day, the Friday before memorial day. Memorial weekend passed and we got it on Tuesday. I also want to mention that I appreciate a product made in the US, I buy what I can American made. He laid on it for a few days and then quit and then I realized it was because it didn't smell like his stinky old blankets that he enjoys so much, so after I put his favorite smelly blanket on the bed he took to it immediately. We got the XL with 1 side that has a pillow. He hasn't seemed to care about the pillow much so he avoids it. Only one dane can fit on the bed but he is a big beefy euro dane. I absolutely plan on ordering again for our 2nd great dane but getting the flat XL version, maybe swapping them out for the boys. Reggie my injured dane was hand raised by me with love, he was a rescue that I fostered at 2 weeks and we fell in love with him so we were fortunate to be able to adopt him. I used to kangaroo him because he was so small and ill he couldnt retain his own body temp. So safe to say I love my dogs like they're my own children. Very glad I decided to give it a shot. It was expensive but so is an emergency vet appointment with a hurt back. Well worth the money if it makes his final years earthside comfortable.Jessi

It's been 3 years since I first experienced a Big Barker that was generously donated to a special needs dog at the rescue where I work in Missouri. 18 mo. later we bought one for our 80# Akita/Shepherd Knarly after I saw how that donated bed stood up to the wear and tear of daily shelter use. That was 18 mo ago. We lost him in February to what looked like cancer, but it was a fast end to a big life full of adventure. He loved this thing. I love this thing. It kept me from waking up every 40 minutes when he got uncomfortable crammed onto our queen sized memory foam mattress (we're not small people either) and hopped stiffly down to the carpet, then got back up with us a little while later. I miss the big, comfortable sigh he'd give us every night once his chin hit the pillow. And he slept HARD, with his bad leg hanging off the side. I miss our dog. The bed's still going strong under our 60# pit mix, though. He likes to hang his rear end off, elbows on the bed, and stretch his back legs out with his toes all spread out, then belly crawl the rest of the way onto it, draped over the middle of it. Pitties are weird. At least mine's weird and comfy! I think, nostalgia aside, what's impressed me the most is that there's NO WEAR to this bed, the foam *or* the cover. Other than the seasonal shedding fur right now, it looks like it did the day I took it out of the box. I can't find human products that stand up to the beating our dogs give things, so I feel like I've gotten my money's worth out of this bed already. Knowing it's designed for 10 years of use just means I've invested in all of my dogs' health for a good while longer. I'm here today getting a Lg Sleek for our Rottie mix's crate. I’ve been buying beds for my big old man for a long time. He’s about 100lbs, and he’s 14 years old. Now he’s hurt and doesn’t walk well, so he spends the majority of his time in bed, and it’s even more important to have a good bed. To get a halfway decent bed, it’s usually about $150+, and I’m still disappointed. The memory foam is thin or goes flat. Some beds actually have thick foam, but they’re not memory foam, and they’re too dense and firm. The last bed I bought said that it was 5” thick with dual foam. It seemed nice enough when I sat on it, but exactly a year later, when I laid on it for an hour, my joints were all killing me. I felt almost like I had been lying on the floor. Every review said that this was hands down the best bed. I was really looking for something more in my budget, but I couldn’t find anything even half as good as this one, and I had just paid $180 for the other one, and had to replace it after a year! If I had bought this one a year ago, my pup would be happier, and I wouldn’t be buying another, so it’s a sound investment. I didn’t really have the money for it right now, and didn’t want my dog to have to wait for a new bed, but then I read that they offer Affirm, which acts like a payment plan! So I could have the bed now! I was sold. OMG, I’m so glad I bought it. This bed says it’s 7” thick. The old bed said 5”, but the Big Barker is at least twice as thick as the old one! I don’t know if the Big Barker measurements are modest, or if the other bed’s were inflated, or if that’s how flat it went over the year or what, but the Big Barker immediately exceeded my expectations. It’s super comfy – the right amount of support and squish. My dog is happy. It’s the best quality bed I’ve ever bought. If you’re thinking about it, just do it. This thing is going to last. Two things I would change, though. One, I wish the covers were available in green. My dog has become incontinent, so I wish that the outside cover was waterproof. I know they sell a waterproof membrane for the inside, which is good. I wish there was an option for a super tough, durable, waterproof cover. One of the beds I had before had that, and rather than having to constantly remove the cover, wash, and replace it, I could leave the whole cover on, and soap/hose it down really quick. It was also chew resistant (not a problem in my house, but sure kills two birds with one stone). Anyway, it’s fine, I wrapped the bed including the cover in a 6-sided waterproof encasement, and I have multiple waterproof blankets, so I layer one of those on the bed, and then put down a couple of washable waterproof pads too, so it’s protected. As such, his photos don’t show off the bed as well as they could.blackviolet

I did not care for this bed at all and interestingly enough my dog does not recognize it as a bed either. He is a creature of comfort Boxer and usually loves to snuggle in a bed right away. With this bed he treats it like a huge object to drag around the yard and will not lay on it. I feel the bed is too hard and a little slippery for the dog to lay on. Would not purchase again. By the way, I have a small boxer only 60lbs and he is a tripod and this bed was too small for him. So although I am a huge Ruffwear fan, I am sorry I wasted the money on this bedSandra D.

For $130 CAD this product is a poor value and doesn’t seem to stack up to what you’d normally expect from Ruffwear. It’s a really hard base and doesn’t appear to be comfortable for our dog. I have to take issue with the measurements too. It’s claimed to be 28” x 35” but yet the tag on the product says 26” x 34” but even that is misleading. The actual padded surface of the bed is closer to 32” which leaves it feeling small even for our 40” mini Aussie Shepherd. All in all, a great disappointment which we’ll be returning. Large Labrador (73#) scratches around while setlling down and the top ultimately gets torn and no replacement "bag" is currently available…fairly pricey unity to replace on 6-8 month cycle. I got one of these beds (36” XL) for my pup who has separation anxiety. When she isn’t sleeping in bed with me, she is snuggled into her faux fur bed. I brought it to my parent’s place when I had a trip and, surprisingly to all of us, my dad’s 10 yr old Anatolian Shepard Mix (who was born in a cave in Afghanistan) fell in love with it. This dog does not like any type of comfort. Beds, toys, treats… she has never shown any interest in anything my dad has given her. When I returned from my trip the first thing I was asked is where I got it. Ever since Bella got her own fur donut bed, she seems to be actually sleeping better and less anxious… about everything. I’ve seen a peace with her that can only be contributed to this bed. Worth every penny.heather.n

This has to be the best dog bed I have ever purchased. My dog plays toss with it. My baby also hides his toys and bones in it and He sleeps in it. It is super soft and furry. I do not recommend washing no matter ehat the instructions state but spot clean it as needed. I have never seen a pet bed washed that comes out like it went in. I cannot say anything negative about this pet bed except I need more for the cats. This particular size pet bed runs for around $35. I highly recommend this bed to any pet lover looking for a soft bed for their baby.shelly .p

The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. I thought the fluffy fabric would be thicker but it is a bit thin for my taste. It does seem to be well constructed though. Do not stick this size in a large home dryer as it is too big and the heat will matte the fluffy strands (almost like melting) from the heat because it cannot move around enough. Kind of a bummer because it doesn't look nice on one of the sides.WallyGBWI

This bed is so comfy for my whippet! She probably need the large but she nevertheless loves cuddling in it. She’s used to being on a couch/bed, but even when I put this bed on the floor she prefers it to the couch! I have 4 pets and they refuse to use this. I have even put catnip on it so that maybe my cat would use it and she is refusing to use it as well. They are all scared of it, it is lumpy and slides all over the floor so they can't even get into it and then it scares them when it moves. I have even tried putting it on top of a larger pet bed so that it won't move around on them but they won't go near it. Such a waste of money.cjay

My dog loves her new bed. Each night we help her under the cover and then we don't see her again until the morning. Previously we would cover her in a blanket but she would wake us up once she got uncovered but this doesn't happen with her snuggery bed! The bed is soft and good quality. We have a 3 lb. Chihuahua and I guess he must stay cold ALL THE TIME, because he doesn't even sit with us without being covered up. As soon as you get him warm, he quits shaking and he knows how to get in and underneath any type of cover (sleeps under our covers at night). We left the plastic piece out of the bed and the top just lays over it like a blanket and he nuzzles his way underneath, and is covered up on his own. We had to turn the bumps down inside the bed so the smooth part is the part he lays on because he didn't like it before we did that. I recently purchased a second bed for a second dog, they were not happy sharing the first bed. Well when I tried to give the new dog the new bed, the old dog protested. I don't blame him,the new bed cover was MUCH softer than his old cover. I had no choice but to purchase a matching cover so they would both be happy. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. Its not real thick about 2 inches but soft and she seems to like it better than the sheepskin rug she use to sleep on.She rotates from this to the thicker bed, but I think this one gets a little more use.All in all a good bed that is easy to throw in the washing machine, soft and good neutral color.
