But since we have a brute escape artist that kept destroying her old kennel and hurting herself during the process. With this kennel, it has stopped all escapes, no signs of giving or stress. She's made it her home even when she doesn't need to be there.it comes with removable caster wheels for easy relocation, or take them off and leave it stationary while cutting a few inches off the overall height,The door is easily removable and attaches back on in a matter of a few seconds. We were worried about the meshed ground and her getting her toes caught in it, but I comes with a removable tray that's meant for the bottom, but we placed it over and that's her floor. The tree is just a tad under 5 foot. Not a problem for our little living room. The LED lights can be very bright–but you can unplug the LED lights! It still has 8 different light mod's even with the LED's unpluged. The longer branches on the bottom will not hold heavy ornaments. Light weight ornaments and garland is fine. It really is pretty even with out ornaments. The fiber optics make it a very colorful tree, even in the day time. The LED's are to brite for our liking. Not a problem for us we just unpluged them! Hey it's a 60 dollar tree. We are happy with it. You will have to fold down all of the branches they are not hinged like some of the higher dollar trees. It filled out nice! I purchased two of these "KennelMaster 24" Folding Black Wire 2 Door Dog Crate" and have had them for several months. What a great buy! Super easy to set up: they come preassembled and all folded up. They unfold and set up in a minute. I have one for each of my dogs: a Maltese/Bichon mix and a Chihuahua mix (who looks just like a small German Shepherd). We use their crates for the night time and when we leave the house. These crates are made of very nice thick metal. Incredibly sturdy. The latches are well made and smart-doggy proof. I like that the bottom is solid and can be easily removed and sanitized. My dogs have scratched and nibbled on the bars daily and the crates have held up like new. There are two doors on each crate: one door on a long side and one door on a short side. There's also a handle on top which makes it really easy to move around when I am relocating it, transporting the dogs, or just moving the crates to vacuum and clean underneath. My crates also came with some additional wire dividers that I don't use. I believe they are for making the crate smaller when you have a puppy and removing it as your dog grows. Crates can be really expensive so I was glad to find these at such a bargain price, especially because they are so well made. I know these crates will last many, many years. I have no negative things to say about these dog crates. I would highly recommend them! Please note: I do not put both dogs in the same crate, though they do both fit. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. It definitely is not strong enough for large dogs. Even for short amounts of time. At the moment he is 6 months and 60 pounds. Thankfully he did not get out nor hurt himself! When she does her pawing at the bedding at bed time it doesn't shake or rattle. Its easy to open and close. I just bought this kennel for my dog, it lasted 3 months. When it arrived I noticed right away that the quality was not as sturdy as our other kennels. The wires/ bars are thinner than what I would say is the norm. My other 2 are definitely thicker. This is already falling apart. 2 small bars are broken off and the bottom bar under the door detached from the frame leaving this basically useless and not safe for my dog anymore. There is no option for a replacement or discount to replace. Save your money and get a different brand.Sjm81
Cage came in a beat up box taped together, which could have been shipping company, but that's doubtful, read on. When we unpacked it appeared the cage had been used. The metal tray was bent on all 4 corners, we had to duct tape corners so it wouldn't cut our dog. The end side with door was so bent we had to get pliers and try to unbend just to get door to latch. It is still not flush. One of the bars on same door side was not even attached on one side, also had to duct tape that so it wouldn't poke into my dog. All the latches and where cage attaches together the metal was rubbed down to bare metal. I was in a jam and needed to use this so I have not contacted company but will NEVER buy from them again.Susan
I am a professional dog trainer who deals mainly with aggression problems in large breeds. Would I put a clients dog in this kennel…never…..it is not made for that purpose. It is rather flimsy, and noisy. However, it was just what I needed for my gigantic German Shepherd dog, as it provided the space he needed, and I knew he would never try to escape, fall over on it, collapsing the sides, or walk through the walls. Buy it only for crate trained animals, and dogs who will not test boundaries. It is not suitable for pups who are active. After reading all of the other reviews I thought for sure that my escape artist husky would not be able to get out of this. And boy was I wrong, it took her a total of about 10 minutes to figure out how to pick the locks and let herself out. I had to wrap a big steel chain with a pad lock on it to prevent it from being opened. For the price, save your money for a better kennel thats actually going to do the job as advertised. I would have rated the cage with 5 stars but unfortunately there were a few bends in the frame from shipping when it arrived. After carefully straightening that bends the cage is just what I wanted. It was already pretty much assembled you just had to unfold the sides, attach the wheels and top then tighten the bolts holding the sides to the bottom. This is well worth the money if you have a large dog you need to make sure is going to be contained. We bought several different brands in the past and it seemed like she would destroy them and be waiting for us to return home so she could hand us the pieces. Not so with this product. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Super easy to assemble. Large enough for my 130 pounds Great Pyrenees. (Before I get a response as to why I have a Great Pyrenees in this kennel.) The dog is a beautiful dog and I have had people try to steal her. If I leave her in the house she is smart enough to unlock and open doors to try and follow me. She does go to every store that will allow her, but there are times I have to shop for groceries and this is the brief time she is kenneled.
So we have a bit of a wild dog (she's still a pup), a total wrecker. But my God, she was so happy to have this cage as a home. She really likes it. It is definitely sturdy, so when your dog needs a timeout, you can put him/her in there and you don't have to worry about them breaking out. We added a bed as the base, with a plastic covering (kind of like a tarp) so the bed stays clean. So she is super comfy in there. We've been potty training her, so we were worried that she would go to the bathroom in there, but so far she has not, and the first thing she does when released from her home is to run up our hill to use the toilet (metaphorically of course!). Great investment.
I was super anxious about finding a new kennel for my German shepherd. He is an escape artist and I was scared about him trying to escape and getting injured on some cheap material. Knock on wood, he has not escaped since I got it. He actually likes going in the kennel when he doesn't even have to. I would just say switch out the metal rack for the actual flat surface tray. I would never have my dog on that type of rack alone and he tears up any beds I put in there. I wish all of the wheels were lockable but I ended up just taking them off because he can move it even with both wheels locked. Highly recommend so far and worth the money for his safety. Make sure the top is bolted when you tighten the bolts on the side though or it won't line up. Highly recommend for any 80 pound escape artist like mine

If you are needing to purchase a new dog crate, this is the brand and model I highly recommend. Midwest had several levels of crates but I have found that you cannot go wrong purchasing the Lifestage's model. They are solidly made and last forever. I always purchase the double door crates. They have cheaper models & more expensive ones too. I would not recommend their icrate as they are cheaper but they are also not had solidly made as the Lifestage's. Spend the extra $10-$15 and purchase the Life Stages model. It is well worth the money. I have had great success purchasing there crates at Petco.com. I always receive my items within a couple of days. It is also nice when you have a Petco store nearby where you live. If you have any issues with the merchandise you received, they have always been very accommodating and made sure they did whatever was necessary to correct the problem, return the merchandise at a full refund and/or replaced the item. I just received this crate a couple of days ago for my Saint Bernard mix pup. The size is perfect and he has tons of room to grow in it. The doors latch nicely and the crate is very sturdy. We received this very fast! The only downfall I had with this purchase was that when we removed it from the box and set it up, there was a decent sized crack (all the way through) on the tray. I won't be replacing the tray as I've spent enough on this crate. And fortunately for me, my 5 month old pup doesn't have accidents in his crate, but I'm sure if others received this, they would not be happy.tsjackie
I had been looking at the end table style crates thinking that would look nicer and less bulky then the 4' x 4' X-pen I have in my living room. But, comfort is the main criteria and I wanted my Whippets to feel they could stand and dig through a deep pile of bedding, so I went with this crate. I like to rearrange the furniture so I bought the double door style to keep my options open. For my two Whippets I bought the 42" x 28" size which has been more then enough room for them to lay side by side or end to end. It arrives flat, but you just fold out the sides and it is ready to go. It came with a handle so it could be 'portable', but at this size it is heavy and I don't plan to take it anywhere, so I didn't attach that. I left the X-Pen up for them while they made the transition, but they hopped into the new crate the minute I put it up and haven't been back in the X-Pen (even though it still has more bedding in it). The black wire instantly looked better then the metal of the X-Pen and I'm staining a piece of wood I put trim molding around for the top (I had it cut to size at Home Depot) so I'll have an end table style look, but the height and comfort the pups want for their 'cave.' Very happy and buying a second one to have at the office for the days they come to work with me. Both crates and the wood top are costing less then the end table style crate, so all three of us are happy!psh1

He got his foot pad/toe caught in it. Also his collar caught in it. I forced the tray to go into the cage on top of the grate. Problem solved. Need to have an option of where to put it. I think that the BestPet brand wire pet cage/crate/kennels are just as good as the more expensive ones that I have. In fact I was able to purchase two of the BestPet kennels for what I paid for one of the older kennels I have. I like the latches on the Best Pet kennels. They have a little "crook" on the end that prevents the latch from sliding open accidently. But it is easy for a human to open and close. I am an older woman and the kennels are easy for me to move around to the areas I desire to put them. They are sturdy, but easy to handle,and have the plastic slide out tray at the bottom for easy cleaning, I was unsure about this Brand at first because the price was so GOOD that I figured something had to be flawed with this kennel but I was very wrong. I do think it is a good idea to buy a couple of extra plastic trays or if you are crafty cut a piece of heavy duty plastic to have on hand when you change out a tray for cleaning. Plastic is just plastic so a heavy dog could cause damage to the tray .But the trays I got with my kennels are not flimsy at all. The kennel comes with a plastic handle that can be attached at the top. I live in a rural and at night the coyotes and other undesirable critters come out and I have had problems with Tom cats just mauling my young cats. So now I can put my kittens or young cats and puppies in kennels at night and I don't have to worry and fret about what is happening in the dark to them. Also, this will save me money in Vet bills. The cost of just one of the large kennels is about the cost of an office visit to the vet so I am very pleased to wake up each day and know that all of my "babies" are safe and happy. I promptly received the training crate but spent two hours on putting it together. The booklet's instructions were confusing beside the metal crate is not completely sturdy without having some type of snapping connectors to hold all four corners tightly. I was so drained by the time I realized that the four standing legs do not support the metal crate corners. Whatever you do, please do not sit on it, or place any heavy object on top of it. In doing so, you may cause it to collapse hence staring all over again with the assembly. Aside from that, the wood grain is nice as well as the metal product itself. Overall, my Shorkie did not like it at first but he is getting comfortable with it. Then again, it would have been really nicer if the front bottom wood placement slid inside as opposed to pushing it toward the tray. My puppy keeps pushing it away without much effort.Pauline
The most sturdiest thing of the end table dog crate is the crate itself. The wood is very flimsy. When the tables first arrived, the bottom pieces were broken and I had to call customer service to get replacement pieces which took two months to arrive. Since it’s a 3rd part seller you can’t just get a refund and ship back. I would not recommend this to anyone due to the quality and poor 3rd party customer service when you have problems.Krys3875
I did not read Hayneedle's return policy close enough before ordering. My husband put this together a few days ago and we are very disappointed in how flimsy it is. The bottom front panel comes off frequently and it just doesn't feel stable. The "magnets" have no strength to them. We wouldn't feel comfortable having a drink sit on top. When I went online today to submit the return request, I was shocked to see that the return shipping fee would be $43! So much for "satisfaction guarantee." There are plenty of other shopping sites that have a more understanding return policy- no one wants to return and deal with the hassle. However, when you are completely unsatisfied with a product you should be able to return and get most of your money back. If stability is what you are looking for- do not order this product!New pup
