Please be aware that this product will take weeks to get. Bass Pro advised an arrival date, and that date came and went. I contact them, and they advised if you scroll down it states that it is a drop ship item. So it was in the fine print, but should be shown during checkout/shipping. Bass pro advised that I would just have to wait, and nothing I could do to track it. The customer service lady was very nice, and stated this problem happens and nothing is done about it. I then contacted Owens direct, and they were able to locate it via the Bass Pro order number. Just a headache I wish I was aware of, and hope you are now too.BeAware

The Sherpa Forma Frame Carrier in black and size X- Large is perfect size for my pet. My dog size is from shoulder to floor is 30 cm/ 12in and length of her body is 14in/36cm.I would add about 2 to 3 inchies more to the shoulder to floor height so that why the dog has more room for her head. I like that this carrier has hooks to latch onto the existing latch and car seat tether to secure the dog in the seat so the carrier doesn't slide around or fall over. Then you can also fold it away easily under the car seat for prop it open for the dog to sit or lay it. It wasn't hard to assemble and you can put the metal bars into the flaps inside the carrier so they stay in position. Also there is three sides that allow air flow and two zipper side doors so you can open and close whichever door you want. The material of the carrier also uses ballistic material that is strong and durable. Also, contains a pad for the dog to lay one which one side is for warmth and the other side which is for cooler weather. My dog got too excited and decided to go bathroom on it. I actually had to wash it which was very easy to do. I wash this the washing machine and let it air dry. It dried in a few minutes. I really like this carrier and can hold a 22 pound dog in the XL carrier which is great and all the safety measure make me feel comfortable in putting her in the car with me. I know that my dog likes it too and feel very comfortable laying in there and going on a trip, car ride or to the park with me without any problem. I bought this for my new puppy. I thought the size was perfect it would be great to be able to transport him to the vet or to take him places. This brand's quality is TERRIBLE & kinda feeling like petco is for mailing one that's obviously coming apart ngl. Literally the mat was sized wrong, side not properly attached, the front clearly wasn't stitched right, or it's used?.. Poor stitching overall. Doesn't look used at first glance but it's coming apart. I'm not gonna post every picture, but this brand seems to be unreliable. Contacted petco but they need pics and can't tell me if I can get it repaired? Basically it's not their problem, they're contacting the company they got it from. If it wasn't the only carrier my rescue kitten was curious about instead of terrified of I wouldn't bother… It's sold out so I can't keep ordering it hoping for a good one. Can't use a carrier if the zippers pops open or it's falling apart… Checking more tailor type places locally but petco *couldn't* tell me if they'd cover minor repairs or if they had repair services?? There’s no way I bought the same carrier as the same people who wrote good reviews. The zipper broke the first time I zipped it. The shoulder strap makes it not sturdy. Not as large as I thought it would be and I bought the large. My cat takes daily trips to the vet so I was looking for something easier to carry. This is not it. I’ll have to make it work due to my budget but I wouldn’t recommend it.amandax
I like that my kitten is visible when I placed her inside the carrier. I love the clasp that keeps the zipper from accidentally opening once my kitten was placed inside. It comes with a small cushion which is a plus! It is extremely light weight! There’s plenty of room for my pet to move around. I love the color too. The only con is the bottom is a little bit flimsy. I would have given it a five stars if the bottom was more firm. However, I’m going to try placing a card board on the bottom of the carrier to see if it gives it more support for my kitten.Esther N

I have a pretty picky kitty when it comes to carriers. He does not like hard plastic or metal bars. I got this Sherpa® Travel Original Deluxe™ Airline Approved Pet Carrier for up to 22 pounds to try and see if he liked it. I use it mainly for trips to the vet or visiting friends. It comes folded up (so you can store it under a bed easily) but is easy to fold out and put together. It comes with a stability board and faux lambswool liner that easily attach to the bottom with hook and loop strips. Also included is a shoulder strap. It has two openings: one of the top and one at the end. Both has zippers that lock. So kitty cannot escape. The is one small pocket on the back that could hold papers, or small toys or treats. Mesh sides provide plenty of light and air so kitty does not feel contained. I left my carrier out on the floor for him to investigate. He eventually went in and lay down. I did a test run just over to a friends house in my car. The carrier fit easily on my backseat. I was able to loop the shoulder strap over the headrest and also put the seat belt through the luggage band located on the rear side of the carrier. Kitty rode safely and for the most part, happy. He lay down and did not repeatedly circle. I love that the liner comes and out and is washable and that the entire carrier is washable. I love that the carrier is lightweight as Kitty weighs almost 20 pounds. I love that this carrier can be wedged into tighter spaces as it has a flexible frame.daisymae9624
I initially really liked this product. Its lightweight easy to carry. I kept it in my cat's comfort zone so he wouldn't be intimidated by it and he enjoyed laying in it and he relaxed quietly when being carried around. However it only took one 15 minute ride to the vet before this 11mo old cat became nervous and ripped it open at the seam. The hole was big enough to stick its head through and would have only gotten larger it I wasn't holding it shut (while driving). The product was listed for pets up to 16 pounds and my cat was not that big. The product does promote a 1 year warranty, however fine print states ***Worldwise will not accept the return of a bag that has carried an animal (yes you read that correct). SHERPA warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Pet damage of any kind is NOT covered under warrant. A copy of the original sales receipt is required to submit a SHERPA warranty claim.furbabiesSandO
I purchased two of these Original Sherpa bags over 20 years ago and have used them until just recently. My kitty passed away and i just got two new kittens, so decided to buy two more of these bags new and donate the old originals, although there was nothing at all wrong with them. Just thought it was time to buy new. The old ones lasted many years of traveling every month on planes, in cars, hotels, and definitely got more use than the average pet I’m sure! They held up all these years without even a rip or tear, even being shoved underneath airplane seats for years! HOWEVER, I wish I did not get rid of them. The new ones I just purchased do NOT by any means measure up to the old ones unfortunately. The saying holds true, that they don’t make things like they used to! The quality of this bag has gone way downhill since the ones I purchased many years ago! I cannot see these lasting anywhere near as long as my old ones. They are making them very cheaply now, and they did away with the extra compartment that was in between the back zippered one and the bag. There was another wide compartment about one inch wide, which was so convenient. I used to put my kitties food, dishes, and treats in there. It was perfect for travel! They unfortunately omitted that compartment now. The old ones also came with the luggage tag attached which identifies your pets name, owners name, and contact information. That is very important to keep on the bag! So unfortunately I would not really recommend this brand anymore.Nan A

This is Samson’s 2nd Snoozer. The first one was purchased 6 years ago and got plenty of use. I use it as a car seat, a wheeled carrier, an under the seat bed when flying and a backpack when he gets tired hiking. I bought the medium sized carrier for my 20 year old 19 pound Siamese cat. Other reviews said that the medium sized carrier was acceptable by most airlines and I needed it for our trips to Florida on Frontier Airlines. It is a tight fit but it does fit under the middle seat. Did not try the aisle or window. The main complaint that I have is the difficulty of access. There is a metal bar that separates a zippered lower opening and a zippered upper opening. It appears that the bar is used for stability, which is fine, but it greatly reduces the accessibility to your pet when you have to take them out for the TSA inspection at a crowed airport security checkpoint. It is very convenient to carry my dog in a backpack while going through security. Then pulling up the handle and being able to roll her to my gate. I have a 7 lb chihuahua and I bought her the medium carrier. She is a little longer in the body than the average chihuahua. She fits beautifully and has plenty of room to move and lay down in both the upright position and when the carrier is laying down. I would definitely suggest you put in a soft blanket because there is no cushioning, I also went and bought a soft waterproof material and velcroed it on the Part of the carrier that she would lay on under the seat. That way if there were any accidents I could take it out and wash it.B Y

This is perfect to carry my small pets outside in their enclosed pen. I put my two bunnies in, carry them outside to a portable kennel, they fit nicely side by side. Then I put my three guinea pigs in it, there's plenty of space for them also, carry them downstairs and outside. I take them outside in the nice weather and sit with them. I needed a carrier for my grandsons' kitten. I also needed a place for her to sleep. I had looked (on-line) at several "pet," stores that had the same product. But they were 30 miles away, and you had to purchase in store! I purchased this one on-line with next day delivery. Even with tax, shipping, and handling it was CHEAPER than the same one, which was at a store 30 miles away. ONE WORD OF CAUTION. The back of the carrier snaps together. It has 2 tiny matching holes on the top and bottom. It would be great if they supplied a fastener. BUT IT CAN EASILY BE MADE STURDY AND SECURE FOR PET SAFETY – WITHOUT FEAR OF COMING APART. (Especially if the pet is rambunctious!) I used small zip ties – very inexpensive, that I already had. I trimmed the ends after putting them on the back sides. The door in the front is secured at top – 2 and bottom – 2. Plus you can open it from either right side or left. It has plenty of openings at the top of the carrier for air to circulate. I definitely would recommend this product. "Alice," the kitten loves it. I leave the door open, and she goes in there during the day and sleeps on her towel. It's light weight, attractive, easy to carry, easy to assemble, and definitely easy to clean. Even with the lack of the 2 back fasteners, I still give it 5 stars. Great sturdy carrier,bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. Sturdily made plastic. I use it to carry for my 9 lbs cat and it can support his weight very well ,even though it could have had a luggage style handle for more comfort holding it than the recessed one it has but no biggie. Also even thought it is sturdy and pieces fit well together I would recommend you tie up some zipper cable ties on key areas where the two halves meet and close to where the gray little pieces go, to avoid the unions popping open and falling apart,just in case it stresses from the weight of the pet, that should give more reinforcement to the structure and peace of mind, not that it will happen but it could as other customers have stated. The carrier is not really that tall and long so my cat cannot stand full height or stretch full length, it is comfortable enough for him to be in on short trips or for a shorter cat (mine is very long and tall,almost 19 inches long head to base of tail).. The door is a little tricky to use since it doesn't have a hinge but you will get the hang of it, and if you just open it from one of the top knobs and leave the other closed it can even be used as a swinging door. It doesn't include any accessories but it is standard fit for most accessories.. Very goodvalue for the money.ladyleiaknight
I’m very happy I bought this plastic pet carrier. I didn’t buy it for traveling, it is for our new family member, a 3 month teacup chihuahua. She is very tiny, only 2.5 pounds and she didn’t want to sleep in her cage. We were afraid to bring her bring to sleep with us and I decided to buy this product.
