Our dog Petal was diagnosed with PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy) when she was 5 years old. This disease usually starts in dogs who inherit it when they are between 4 and 6 years old. We were told there was nothing we could do about it and that she would be completely blind in about 1 year, 2 at the very most. We immediately started giving her Ocu-GLO and have given it to her every day since she was diagnosed. Her vision did indeed decline but much much slower than predicted. When she was 10 years old she still had some sight and it's only been in this past year (her 12th) that her vision has gotten drastically worse.. Even still, she's not totally blind. I don't know if Ocu-GLO had anything to do with this, but we felt it was worth trying and we continue to give it to her for overall eye health, including cataracts and possible inflammation from other issues. I recommend it to anyone who has a dog with PRA and would like a shot to preserve their vision for as long as possible.Susan
We have a 6.5 year old Brussels Griffon that has had a run of bad luck! She fell down a set of 3 stairs last October of 2013 and as a result, broke her elbow. After surgery and 3 casts with Dr. Dew an orthopedic surgeon, she is able to walk again. Her missing the stairs had me concerned about her eyesight so during the healing process, I found an ophthalmologist to examine her. Dr. Miller, stated that she did in fact have the onset of cataracts and that could have contributed to the fall however she also had retinal deterioration so she wasn't a good candidate for cataract removal. At his recommendation, we ordered Ocu-Glo RX and started taking the pills immediately. After 3 months we returned to see Dr. Miller and weren't given much hope but he said to continue taking the Ocu-Glo. We returned again for our 6 month check up and again, much of the same. "Keep doing what you're doing". Very disappointing news… However, yesterday we went for our 9 month checkup and were told that both eyes were developing cataracts and one was already very visible and he suspected the other one would be visible quite soon. I had just broke into tears when he stopped and said, "but because the retinal deterioration has stabilized, she is now a candidate for cataract surgery". Thank you Ocu-Glo!! Hello. My son's pit King, stays downstairs with me. Follows me everywhere, sleeps with me, he has been the best companion, and yes he even talks "smack" back to me if he doesn't get his own way. I'm not a fan of most doggie shampoos out there because they aren't always transparent about ingredients, and often there's a ton of neon colouring. This was quite a splurge for a shampoo, as my last shampoo purchase was a gallon of Buddy Wash for $60. However, it's my pup's birthday so I always get a few presents for her. My primary concern was that the fragrance would be too overpowering (dog's noses are super sensitive), but it's no more noticeable than other shampoos. I find Ouai products are very perfumey, but this is definitely not as fragranced as my human products. My goldendoodle has very high-maintenance, SUPER fine hair so I always follow up a shampoo with a bunch of conditioner. However, once this shampoo was rinsed out her hair didn't feel stripped of all moisture so I forewent the conditioner, and so far so good. I have a Golden Retriever (double coated) and wanted a shampoo that made her clean, soft, and not smell like wet dog. We have a Yorkie that loves this stuff! We started with the rolls and he was really eating it up but after a while it took us having to coax him into eating. We came across these and from the first time we gave it to him, he licks the bowl clean each and every time. It is now the only food that I will feed him. I know that all the ingredients are fresh and good for him. He has more energy (if that's possible) and his coat is shinier than it has ever been. After my 7 month old puppy was healing from a spaying surgery (just got back from) her appetite was gone, but the only thing she would eat was Freshpet chicken treats. We tried giving her normal kibble and some beef wet food but she wouldn't touch it, she's never had beef before though so that might've played a part. My mom decided to try FreshPet and my dog went crazy for it, ate the whole thing in one sitting and even picked up the paper plate and flung it around. She's never ever done that in the 4+ months we've had her, we've tried multiple kibble/wet food brands as well. We've switched to the Vital line rolls and she still likes them, we mix with her normal kibble and she eats around the kibble (she usually comes back to finish it after). This food is definitely worth the price although the feeding guidelines seem a little too much. The kibble we fed promises shiny coats (which it did provide) but with freshpet her coat is even more shiny and she's so much more happier to eat. My Chihuahua really put this to the test! He is very destructive and has torn up many of his toys. After many hours of intense chewing this toy is still intact. She is only 6 pounds, so she didn't have the bite necessary to make his eyes bug out, but she most certainly had the bite necessary to make it scream. 😉 It has a very loud squeal that she loved to hear over and over. 😉 The only issue I had with the Hartz Bug Eyes was the fact that I pulled the plastic tags out instead of cutting them, and they pulled the stuffing out through the holes. It is totally my fault, but just so everyone else knows, *cut* the plastic tags. I will attach a photo of the mess I made due to pulling the tags. My 7 month old Great Dane puppy loves these. He is obsessed with the squeaky noise they make. I ordered some years ago and none of my dogs cared to play with them. Our pup found all of the old ones, they were in rough shape from being outside and in the sun for years. I finally had to throw out the old ones. He is very happy to have new ones. I used it on my German Shepard who is itchy from allergies. It soothed her and cut out the scratching. I would definitely recommend. I did a little research on the product before I used it to see if anyone had any major issues when they tried it. I use it a couple times a week or more depending on how flaired up she gets. I do like that it's an all natural product. I also use the Burts Bees shampoo and conditioner as well. Remember if the dog has opened sores do not use the product you would need to see a vet or get the sores to clear up first before applying.michelle.j

We have a wire haired fox terrier, the terriers have skin that tends to get dry spots and itch. when using this product he does not have the problem if allowed to soak 10 minutes before rinsing and a regular biweekly wash. Worked in veterinary for 23 years. Could go on with stories about this product forever. One example, elderly man called me crying saying his allergy doctor told him he had to get rid of his cats. His cats were middle aged and in that area likely not to be adopted. His cats were his family and all he really had in life after his wife died. I suggested he try Allerpet first before going to that extreme. I told him he should have the cats bathed with an unscented, soap-free shampoo and then combed out thoroughly by someone else. When that was done, I told him to bring them in and I would show him how to apply Allerpet-C against the lay of the coat, all over the body, with a washcloth. This he could do himself once a week thereafter. He followed my instructions exactly and was able to enjoy and love his cats for many more years. I have seen this story play out hundreds of times. I have never understood why allergists don't recommend it to all their patients to at least try. The doctor's first thought is always get rid of the cats and many times this means euthanasia of a healthy animal. Happy to see Entirely Pets carries it. It’s most effective if you groom Your cat first to remove excess fur and who knows what. Furthermore do it in successive days. Groom, apply stuff. Next day too. Repeat. Keep repeating. My dogs one eye was red and goopey for days. It reminded me of pink eye but didn't look as bad a few days later. I decided to give this a shot and it did work I would say and took most of it away. I bought this because my dog is having issues with red, dry, itchy eyes this winter with the dry air. I know it isn't an infection because we went down that road already and I needed a product to help flush out and lubricate his eyes. This seems to do the trick. I use an eue dropper (doesn't come with product) to put ~2 drops in each eye one to two times a day. Since starting this his eyes have been less red, less weird eye boogers, and leas pawing. My German Shepherd has had an ongoing problem with dryness of her nostrils and raw spots on her elbows from lying down. The elbows have bled on occassion.
