I got this little dog for my Mother In Law who lives in an Assisted Living Facility for her Birthday, She used to have a Golden Retriever and she just loved this little stuffed toy. She was so excited that it looked like it was breathing, she said it seemed so real and she loved it. She even ate her lunch with this cute little dog on her table as she ate. I just wish there was an On/Off switch for the breathing.JoJo44

I bought the golden retriever puppy for my granddaughter’s 8th Birthday. She absolutely adores it. It is well made and looks exactly the same as the picture I was so impressed I have ordered one for my mother who is 86 years for her Christmas. Bought 1 for my 97 year old friend who is madly in love w her new dog. Not having a dog the last couple years has been very difficult for her and this toy has saved the day! Then got another for her 3 year old great grand daughter who cherishes her new puppy. When I asked her what she named her puppy she looked at me like I was crazy and proudly told me “DUNCAN” like it was the obvious choice. Lol. Great gift!! This wonderful stuffed floppy dog by GUND is identical in colour and texture to our own Golden Labradoodle dog! This toy is soft, has a bean bag centre for weight and increases the snuggle effect. You just want to hug and cuddle this toy! It is very durable, easy to wash. I bought this for my grand daughter on clearence $25.. its normally $99 , it was a rip off at the $25 !!! It is misleading for the to say it does over a hundred things. He is very cute, but he can't be patted, as my granddaughter had hoped to do, because there are hard ridges/lumps all across his back – sewing irregularities as he was being assembled? – so he is fine for sitting on a shelf for viewing but not for cuddling. I normally buy her stuffed animals that I have inspected and selected in person for suitability, but with Covid-19, in-store shopping was not an option. Not a negative toward the Tack Room – they are just the marketers, not the producers of the possum. But I won't be buying any more stuffed toys on line from any source. I got this furReal toy and it is very cute. When you put it together and get it started it is very cute. I like the way it does when you hold the leash the toy walks with you. It’s very soft to the touch. It has beautiful colors. It is very easy to assemble. My little granddaughter she really enjoys it she was so excited to get it. She plays with this toy all the time. The battery lasts for a little while it doesn’t take a normal AA battery or AAA battery it takes a little round battery looks like a watch battery. I got this for my daughter as a Christmas present since she wanted it. The minute I opened the box I regretted purchasing it. I tried wrapping it and thought that would shut it up since it has a sensor. Even as it was wrapped it still would not shut up. So I basically had to tie it up in a garbage bag and put it away in the closet where its dark. I am dreading my daughter opening this thing but i'm hoping there is an on/off switch because this is one annoying toy.Gisela

I bought this for my daughter's first birthday and she was a little scared of it at first but she loves it now that she if used to it! LOL! It is very chatty but I was expecting that! At does "toot" a lot and I am not sure that I like that but it is funny and my daughter loves it! It has an off switch on the bottom so once you're tired of hearing it you can just turn it off! She has wanted a puppy, but due to her allergies we have not gotten her a real one, so this was a great treat for her! The first thing she did was name her puppy "sparkle." This toy takes four C batteries, which for this promotion came with. The quality of the puppy is great. A very solid toy. Also, pretty realistic for a toy puppy. The fur is super soft and great for cuddling with a young girl. The puppy comes with a collar and a leash (which is non-removable), this is the device for walking with the puppy. On the end of the leash there is the handle with the button for walking the puppy. You push the button and the puppy walks/barks/talks (of course in puppy language). On the top of the puppy's head there is a bow, which if it is tapped the puppy sits down. The instructions said that the puppy responds to voice commands, although not super clear with what commands it responds to. This puppy came with an optional application which can be downloaded to your phone or tablet. The application is free. This really optimizes the interaction that the child can have with the puppy. The puppy just has to sit close to the phone/tablet and they connect via blue tooth. There are numerous games that you can play with the puppy with the application and the puppy with interact according to what is being done. Very cute and intuitive application. It does make a bit of an annoying sound of the "talking" between the puppy and application. This puppy has played with the girls for hours. I would recommend this toy hands down, except the price point is a bit high ($60.00). Great toy for a preschooler if would love and animal and cannot have one.TinyRose

We received this product as a review from Hasbro. From the perspective of my 4yr old daughter this was a hit. This toy has gotten more teeth brushed and tea times that any of her other toys. Taking it out of the box and getting it ready was a breeze. She quickly caught on on how the buttons on the leash worked to control it. For the first few weeks I just let her play with just the toy and then showed her the Iphone app for this toy. It was like getting a new toy all over again. Initially she thought it was just a game and did not understand that it interacts with the actual dog. She still has not caught on to it yet but the app has kept her entertained. Her parents get a kick out of how when you wash the dog in the app the FURREAL Dog starts getting upset and makes noises to show it This toy also moves around by rollers, it does not walk. Movement on rough terrain was a bit unsteady. The noise leve from this toy is acceptable. It is not loud or overpowering. It has been a few weeks and she is still playing with it and having tea parties with it. So in her eyes she still loves it. In her parents eyes we are hoping that the novelty of this does not wear off any time soon.CaptK13

NOTE: I received this product free from Bzzagent to honestly review. Though I might not have sought out such a toy on my own, I was excited to see how my four year old child would interact with it, and she was overjoyed at its arrival. The toy is even cuter in person, and well made. The fur is thick and soft, so the puppy is cuddly, her eyes appear almost bright and "shiny" and the mouth and nose look quite realistic, all things considered. The leash walking is fun and she seemed to respond quite well to the leash control button and moved fine on tile and carpet. The tail wag is very much like a real dog's, as are the head tilt and the playful open mouth expression. Sometimes the pup will also spontaneously charge forward on its own. My little one discovered that one cool thing the pup can do is be "stood up" on her back legs and then flip back down to the ground on her front paws. It would be nice if the toy could react to simple voice commands or to hugs, or run purposefully towards objects placed in front of it. However, as she is, there is plenty of room for creative play, such as running doggy daycare or a training obstacle course for pups (which is what my child and her friends have done, among other things). The variety of sounds she makes (from whimpering to dog singing to loud belches) is entertaining but random. One issue I have is with sound-based interaction. The toy is supposed to react to hand clapping by moving forward, but this seems to be a bit spotty and can be a little disappointing for smaller children when it doesn't work. Also, it's advertised as being compatible with a downloadable interactive app. My issue with the app is that only about 50% of the time does the dog respond to it in any way indicating that they're really interacting– it's supposed to make sounds in response to activities, such as getting a bath or being fed, but the dog just continues making random, unrelated noises. I'm aware that the phone must be placed close to the dog (and loud enough) for it to respond, but this has been very hit and miss. This could be a phone issue, I suppose, but there is nothing wrong with my phone or its volume. My daughter still enjoys playing with the app sometimes with her puppy next to her, and apps are definitely not a top priority in my book for a toy given to (in this case) a preschooler, but if I were paying good money for this toy, I would not have been very impressed with this function. Two months out, the toy has definitely not been abandoned in our household. The toy has seen daily use and still looks brand new. Battery life is great. This seems to be a very durable, quality-made product. Given a few limitations, I don't think that I would pay the current "going rate" for this toy (maybe the price will drop over time?), but it has been an enjoyable companion, and my little one certainly likes her.bluepoodles

Very well made interactive puppy that makes various noises & actions. My Mum loves Cheeky, as do the other residents in her care home. Cheeky creates interest wherever she goes, she is spoken to so much and she obliges by woofing back. My Mum kindly lends Cheeky to her friend Ethel when shes feeling very distressed & needs to leave to go home to look after her parents. My mother has dementia. She had a dog before needing full time care in a special home. She kept asking to have a dog but it wasn't practical or permitted in the facility. I got her the Joy For All puppy. It makes her smile. She talks to it and pets it. She named it "Noodles". My only complaint is that it is heavy for her weak arms and hands and the large, hard interior mechanism takes away from the realistic feel.lauriehay

Really cute. My mum thinks hes great. The only trouble is she cant switch him off by herself so one day when she fancied a snooze, she was telling him to be quiet, not realising that her speaking was keeping him going. I ordered this after seeing a review of it on morning television. It has been a great hit and the recipient loves her very much. She has helped enormously with speech and provides some fun back into life. I have yet to see her as she lives a long way away but hope to visit after the 17th May. The good thing about her is that she doesn't need looking after or make a mess or entangle her lead around legs which aren't very steady. Money well spent I think.Gail L

This perfect pet is described as huggable but it's flat as a board and I didn't know that. In the picture it looks like it's laying down but I thought you could hold it and it would be more like a stuffed animal instead of a completely flat bottom. I have 2 big dogs and I walk them everyday. My little one always wants to help but sometimes they are a bit hard to handle. Now with her walk along pet puppy and leash she can walk her dog with me.
