Our 8 week old puppy took to this immediately. We live in a condo so we needed a solution to let our puppy ***** safely before she's fully vaccinated. There's no "Safe space" outside where we can take her that other dogs wouldn't have gone already. I had no idea if it would be hard initially to get her used to it, but we plopped her down on it as soon as we brought her home and she went *** right away. Adopted a black mouth cur from the shelter. Escape artist, separation anxiety to the maximum. I purchased the ThunderShirt for my dog's anxiety over fireworks. I tried to get my dog accustomed to it before putting it on her as the instructions stated but she ran away every time even when it was paired with treats and I was just holding it up. I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I bought this in a large in the blue color for my 65 pound Pit and it fit him perfectly! It was really easy to put on him and he seems very comfortable in it, I also love the zipper on the bottom because it makes it so much easier for him when he goes to the bathroom. I typically use when we go for hikes to prevent ticks since he has dark gray fur and they are difficult to see. I would highly recommend this if your dog likes to go on hikes or roam outside in wooded areas! The material is also really nice and lightweight so it doesn’t make my pup too hot.
I ordered the correct size and it fit snugly enough in width, but the length was too long for my dog (from neck to tail). With the extra room in length she was able to get her back legs tangled in the fabric each time she would bend her knees/go from sitting to standing. It made it so she couldn’t use her back legs properly and she took a tumble down a few steps. Maybe including a body length measurement would help? I think the fit is probably ideal for certain types of dogs but not others. The zipper made me nervous that it would be easy to accidentally pinch her skin and I’m not sure she could go to the bathroom wearing it, even unzipped. I have a silver poodle who has bad tear stains. I have tried so many products claiming to lighten tear stains and this was the only product that worked for me. I use it in conjunction with eye cleanser from the same brand. I especially like this product because you dont have to wash it out and worry about it getting into the eyes. My groomer used this successfully as my dog hates the hairdryer. She was fine wearing a Happy Hoodie so I bought one to use at home during fireworks. Works well but be careful to arrange the dog's ears comfortably especially if they have large ears eg spaniels or the dog will remove it if uncomfortable.nanabranes
Brilliant idea, I love it and the dog loves it. Large fits him very well ( large deerhound) and so gave the small sized one to a friend for her dog for bonfire night. We re enact and so a hoodie is a must for our dog as there are cannons at events. Very happy with purchase.bevpolf54
