Got this bag for our little chihuahua Millefeuille to get used to traveling. The color is great and bag is easy to clean. We use it every time we take her out in public. As owners we love it because it keeps her safe, so functional, and so many compliments. Millefeuille loves it as well and will jump in to take naps. It's her safe spot away from home. She also naps inside of it if I leave it laying around on the floor. Millie is only 4 pounds so we put blankets to fluff up the bottom, she likes to sit with her front two feet hanging out usually which tips the bag forward since she is so small. Having the zipper + net is an absolute for us as well since she still is a puppy. Im pretty much a power user of this bag, and my main wish is for the bag to have adjustable or shorter shoulder straps. Since its not adjustable, its a bit uncomfortable, especially since my body is shorter and my pup hangs forward. i have to support the bag with both hands a lot of times. I just received my cat carrier today. It is sturdy and well-equipped. It has the regular carrying handles and it also has a large shoulder strap with ample cushioning on it. It opens from the top or there is a flap on the front of the carrier if you prefer to put the cat/dog in that way. Our cat has only been in a cat carrier one time and there was a lot of "fighting" just to get her into it. I suppose this one would be no easier to load a cat/dog. The carrier is black with mesh sides and front and there is a short leash attached to the inside, if needed. I wish it was a nicer color though. Our cat is also black, so it will be harder for us to see her once we put her inside. The carrier looks and feels very strong and durable though. I wanted to love the Wild One pet carrier, aesthetically it looks so well designed. Unfortunately, in use, it’s just not as great as I wanted it to be. My dog is 11 lbs and I used this carrier for the first time on an international trip just 3 weeks ago. Using this pet carrier while connected to / on top of my suitcase before checking luggage was fine. Problems arose when using the pet carrier independently of other luggage. Due to the zipper along the top of the carrier, the shoulder strap is attached off center which tipped my dog either into or away from my body while carrying him. It would have been a lot easier if the strap kept the carrier centered so my dog didn’t easily sway / tip back and forth with every step. I live in a small apartment so I really liked that the carrier was collapsible for storage but it was also easily collapsible with my dog in it while traveling. The side zippers that hold the shape of the carrier easily unzipped and my dog nearly slid out on to the floor at the airport. The snap on the end of the zipper pull is just not enough to secure the zipper from unzipping, a carabiner or ring through the zipper pull may be more effective. This was point where I knew I had to write a review – I purchased this carrier to give me peace of mind that my beloved dog was contained and safe for travel but an unzipping compartment that my dog very nearly slid right out of is not easier nor safer. After TSA I ended up carrying my dog, carrying the pet carrier and carrying my carry on – my confidence that my dog was safe in the Wild One pet carrier was gone. Upon return from my trip I left the carrier with a luggage repair service to get some feedback about fixes to make this carrier safe and secure for my dog. The green color is so pretty and less likely to get dirty and not as boring as black. My pet is 7 pounds, she can’t stand up when the zipper is closed but lying down she still got a lot of space. This item came in in monogrammed shipping box with free gifts wrapped nicely like it’s from a luxury retailer. The only complaint I have are all the zippers, they can slip down when they are not pinned together, I wish there are less zippers as all I need is one side to be open. I suggest the seller to sell this on Amazon because there is no any other carriers like this one in the market, in terms of design,functionality and quality. trust me, I bought them all! One point I was going to design one myself. Please add A plastic pad/shield for the airplane floor, this bag will last much longer. And please have more color choices. I bought this carrier in December. Given the price, it was a significant investment and I expected to use the carrier for a long time. By May, my 11lb dog had figured out how to escape from the carrier. I saw a few other reviews stating this, and I assumed it was just a minor design flaw that they had fixed (because 2 of the zippers snap together). I was wrong- my dog manages to escape by bending the flimsy wiring on the carrier. I cannot even travel with him in it anymore, because now he knows he can escape. My previously silent, well-behaved and well-traveled dog works himself into a frenzy trying to escape from the carrier now that he knows he can. This had made my last times traveling with him a nightmare, and I can not use this carrier any longer. I contacted customer service about this and spoke to Katie. Rather than offering me any sort of compensation at all, they just told me my dog was smart and that was my problem. So now I'm out $125 and need to buy a new carrier. I would've thought that with this high price tag, it would be something I would use for a long time. Nope, just an overpriced piece of junk that a dog can render useless in a few months. I have two dogs a 6 year old 50 lb medium dog and a new 6 month old 15 lb small puppy. This could technically fit both of them (not at the same time). The medium dog could Get in and be some what comfortable for a short period of time. The small puppy Would have a ton of room. This was super easy to put together and would be just as simple To take apart and travel with if needed. We got a smaller bed in there now but getting a bigger one to add soon. We use this everyday in our Living room for when our puppy (who is very timid) gets Scared or if someone is coming over we can have her go in there. This will be perfect for travel, hotels, camping etc.. I love the handle on top, many other similar kennels lack the handle. The kennel is a solid plastic with a handle. It’s capable of handling the size and weight of a small dog, cat or other animal. In my case, it was perfect for transporting two adult guinea pigs. You can put a rubber backed bath rug inside, cut down, to keep the pet from skidding around. It’s important that it be rubber backed so the pad doesn’t slide. The handle can be used to put the seatbelt through. The kennel is easy enough to assemble with screws and plastic nuts. You can keep the top off to use it as a bed, or the door off. Both are a good idea if you want to get your pet used to it on their own terms. The lid can also be used for a cat to hide under. If you do use this for housebreaking, the top not coming off easily is going to be a headache for nasty messes. I’m used to the flip locks that other carriers have for stationary use. I in no way feel this is a flimsy or poorly made kennel. I just don’t feel it’s as good as it can be. There are pieces of raised plastic where I expected it to have: a seatbelt holder, storage for poop bags and a compartment with a double dish that attaches to the inside of the cage door. I also don’t like that I was worried about over or under tightening the bolts. I don’t think you will be disappointed as long as you know what you are buying.HomesteadMom
When my dog was a 8 week old puppy I had this in x-small for him. He out grew that and this one seems to be perfect for him. We just used it to take a road trip to New England and New Brunswick Canada. Hubby and I in the front my 20 yr olds in the second row (2captain chairs)and this kennel in the hatch facing the front so we can open the door and let the dog sit with the kids but usually hangs out in his be with his blanket and few toys luggage around him. This keeps him safe and from jumping around it allows for he’s food and or drink. It allowed him to move around in a secured environment. I forgot to say he is a 14# Shorkiepoo. Definitely would say it works better for dogs than cats since the hole for their head is quite large and if you have a cat that isn’t use to being carried around or doesn’t care to be confined they will easily escape…or even a dog that doesn’t like to be carried could escape as well. It does have a clip to hook onto a collar or harness to help keep your pet inside of the carrier. Plus it does have a mess zip up top too. It also has plenty of pockets on the sides to carry all your essentials, yours and your pets! It’s definitely a cute and fun way to take your pet along with you! This is a very nice soft sided carrier. The size is more than adequate for my almost 8 pound cat. The base is very sturdy and well constructed. The handles are firmly attached and the snap closure is well made. The mesh top is also very nicely fashioned. My cat is not very cooperative when being placed in a carrier, so putting an extra blanket at the base is something I do in this bag. There is a nice leash strap included within the bag which would allow for keeping the pet within, when attached to their collar. I like the neutral fabric color and the overall design of this bag. This is a very practical choice for a smaller sized pet cat or dog. This bag could be used with travel or just transportation to another home or pet vet visit.michigangirl
This is a nice and sturdy pet carrier. It has a soft padded bottom that can be removed, if you choose not to use it. I could not tell if it was washable or not, but it does not seem to be. It has a zippered opening across the top, which is convenient and the top is also made with a vented material so the pet gets some air. It really could use more venred areas to help keep your pet cooler in the summer months. There is a nice sized opening for your pets head to be able to be outside and has a latch to put on your pets collar or harness. It is long enough that it can be left on, if your pet lays down with it’s head toward the opening. It also has two pockets on one side to put things in. All in all it is a nice enough carrier if your pet is not very heavy. Like 15 pounds or less. Would have given a five if the pad were washable and it had more air vents.Arbird48
