My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Before we knew it, that bite had gotten infected so bad she became lethargic, her face swollen an angry shade of red, she could not eat or even drink on her own and she could not even close her mouth and was drooling on herself. Because of the covid situation and proximity of timing to our trip to see family, there was no way to get her to a vet in time before we had to leave in 3-4 days. So we did the best we could with a dropper to feed and water her and rushed out to get Vetericyn to help stave off the infection which reduced the angry redness to a healthier pinkish. Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. Bought this from Petco on 02182022. Sprayed it on two items our mini dachshund pup has been attacking. The attacks stopped immediately. It has no smell when wet or when dry. One warning: wear rubber gloves when applying! My granddaughter and I both got it on our hands and despite several hand washings, we both got yucked at supper time. Also, spray the items outdoors or in the garage, away from anything that someone might touch. One of the pup's Kong squeaker balls caught some of the overspray. Now she is avoiding ALL her toy balls. It's kind of hard for me to tell if it works. I think it does. It tells you how hot it is so it's not a secret that it's going to be hot. I still wasn't prepared for the intense burning sensation. I am a dog trainer using the click and treat method. I have purchased the Buddy Systems to loan to my clients for their time in class. It eliminates on item to hold onto while doing the click and treat method of positive training. Also having nervous human hands off the leash is settling for the dogs. Love the system. I walk both my dogs with it, who are 90 and 50 points. I found my should was starting to hurt, not from their pulling, but from holding my arm at the same position while holding the other leash. I bought this along with several other types of anti itch products. I previously had tried at least a half dozen other products and none of them worked. This product works.
