I fed this to my older dog (now almost 11) for 4 years before he developed a sensitivity to poultry. I have another dog, Mia, now whom I fed the puppy version of this food until she was a year old and she loved it, so naturally we moved up to this food once she hit a year old. With all the worry about grain free foods potentially causing heart issues, we’d tried to switch Mia to a grain-inclusive food but she had diarrhea and vomiting when we tried gradually switching her food that progressively got worse. So we switched back to this food and we won’t try to switch off of it again knowing she cannot process grains! The ingredients are high quality for grain-free and there are no by-products. Mia maintains a healthy weight, soft shiny fur, and hasn’t gotten sick her whole life thus far (15 months old). My older dog also did very well on it until we had to switch him because of poultry, and his fur hasn’t been the same on his new food, very lackluster, but that could be due to his age as well. I’m not sure. All in all I highly recommend this food for small breed adult dogs who have to have grain-free food! I have three little dogs–a Terrier mix, a Poodle, and a Shih Zhu. Feeding the first two is easy. I have just found out from many vets that grain free dog food and signature specifically has been in a study that has shown it leads to heart failure in dogs. After 3 years of horrible itching solved only by Apoquel meds, I am extremely happy to say that my dog is off the Apoquel as well as all other required supplements and ailments just to prevent itching so much (coconut oil, probiotics, etc). He just gets Zignature Duck dog food twice a day and he itches MAYBE 2 minutes in a 12 hour period. That's beyond incredible. Worth every cent. Our dog seems to be allergic to a bunch of stuff resulting in problems with his ears and feet. Tried him on this as it’s free of chicken and beef after much consideration of the recent stories about the risks of grain free food. At the end of the day we decided the incidences of health problems were sufficiently low to be not significant. Dogs seem to like it and one of them’s a fussy eater.

This has been the best pfd for our Catahoula Leopard. It has survived a full summer of kayaking, swimming, and running through the tall grass and brush along the shoreline…and it still looks and works like it did the first time we put it on her. There is a ‚ÄúD‚Äù ring to attach a leash on the top so there is no need for a harness. The top handle is very thick and is incredibly useful if you need to pull your dog out of the water without fear of hurting or causing your dog discomfort. It was and still is easy to adjust to fit her frame (barrel chest- like a pit bull) and narrow waist. The instructional video for fitting the pfd to your dog provided by Ruffwear was a HUGE bonus. When our dog doesn‚Äôt wear the pfd she only goes into the water where her feet touch. When she is wearing the pfd, she automatically transitions to paddling in deeper water because her head is always above the water. This is a wonderful hoodie and indeed is very soft inside. My Kaya loves it so much that she wants to wear it to sleep at night. I like a number of things about it, with the softness being one, it washes very well (a very small amount of shrinkage, but not enough that it won't still fit well), love the leash hole on the back, and it covers her well in cold weather. I purchased a size Xlarge for my poodle (12" neck, 13" back length, 18" chest) because I wanted a 'generous' fit. She wears it over her snowsuits when it is very cold (zero and below) and wears it on it's own above 35 degrees or so. I have three pit bulls and they eat everything and anything ! All three smelled this product, gave me a look before taking and they spit out, sadly I tried a couple more times and my poor boy broke out in hives in middle night and it attacked his whole body and these dogs live outside and enjoys mold and what not! I was shocked and so angry and sad because even now he still has a lot, I can not find a part in your application that would assist on a situation like this at all, we shouldn’t have to wait and luckily I have common sense since I can’t afford the $300 vet, if not better by tomorrow I will be forced! My two girls wait for his approval thank god! But very dissatisfied and will never try any of these brands again period! My English Bulldog, Buster, loves these bones. I give him one every night before his bedtime. I make a big deal out of it; we have a little routine. About 10:00 p.m. he comes and sits in front of me to tell me it's time for his bone. I take him outside, then back in for his bone. Before I give it to him, I have him do three tricks he has learned: he rolls over, speaks, and salutes (his Daddy is retired Army). Then he gets his bone. He gets very excited at bone time. Once he's had his bone, then it's time for bed. He jumps up on his spot on the couch and goes to sleep. These are my Siberian Husky Dempsey’s all time favorite biscuits. I can get them for a great price pretty much always on sale from Chewy’s website. If I need to buy them in store, I purchase from Petsmart use their price match offer. I purchase these religiously always have a bag on hand since these are pretty much his all time favorite treat. Since he’s a large dog, I go for the large biscuit size. But they also make a mini version which is great for puppies a small size if the large ones would be too big for your dog. Dempsey specifically prefers the Peanut Butter flavor, but they do make a handful of different flavors. Lastly, they also sell 6 pound boxes of these for a discounted price. You can get different sizes like the you can with the bags, and you can also get all one flavor or they offer a variety box which is typically a mix of 3 different flavors. I also introduced my boyfriend to this brand of biscuits now he avidly purchases them for his two Boxer’s. Definitely would highly recommend picking them up testing them out for your dog. This little stuffed animal is perfect. He's a little less than a foot tall and stands upright. The expression in the photo is almost exactly how it looks in person. The ears had a little stitch holding them down which we removed with a stitch puller b/c we liked them better floppy. Very soft and definitely pet-able. I have been using this brand of food for years with many dogs. It is alao the only food that my lab and sheltie can stomac (and I have tried over 30 different brands) but, my lab gobbles the large breed food because the kibble is so small. Even with a slow feeder bowl, he inhales it. I have tried even 1 piece at a time, nope doesn't chew. This is the only brand I have seen that has such small sized kibble for their large breed kibble. I am truly hoping that Nutro eventually makes their kibble size larger in the large breed lamb and rice as to help prevent bloat and clean teeth. This is the best dog food I’ve ever used. This morning, I opened the bag and gave it to him for the first time and he LOVED it! Easy transition and so happy. Really great quality custom and adorable. However, the size guide is truly the worst I've ever experienced. Way way too large for my dog and had no idea what size to order in the first place. Not for small dog breeds at all. Would be fine if I could have figured that out without ordering two of this costume first, but the size guide is useless. Dog costumes should measure length, neck girth, and chest girth.

GET THIS!!! I was hesitant to buy due to the price but it is worth every penny. Our rescue puppy had severe separation anxiety and would cry in his crate every night, throughout the night – this completely stopped after we paired him with his Snuggle Buddy. He LOVES his Buddy. A couple of user tips that worked for us:- after washing the Snuggle Buddy, we lightly rubbed our worn socks on it. Why? Bc our socks are an easy way for our dog to have our scent on his Buddy. This might help those whose dogs won’t take to the Buddy. Our puppy was apprehensive at first, but after we rubbed our socks on it, he immediately plopped down on it and slept. Attached is the picture of him that night :)- we *only* give him the Buddy in his crate, when he’s going to bed or will be crated for some time. He has a Pavlovian response and will automatically go into his crate as soon as he sees the Buddy; this might help some dogs with crate training. We also only give it to him in his crate because he tried shredding it, thinking it’s a toy, when he’s taken it out of the crate. We eliminated that by removing and putting away his Buddy every time we wake him up or let him out of his crate.- I bought bulk Hot Hands hand warmers as refills for heat. Get the small ones made for pockets; the body ones are too large and emit too much heat IMO. The pocket ones are perfect and last 12ish hours.- I also play soothing anti-anxiety dog music or put on a dog music channel from YT (they have ones like a walk on the beach or forest, with dogs in the background). I feel like this combo of the Buddy + music are the one-two combo that make our puppy KO haha.I hope this helps those with puppies or dogs who need extra comfort!
Honestly, I don't know how well this product really works. I brought home my toy/miniature poodle mix on June 8 at age 8 weeks and 1 day, and since he was the first littermate separated, I expected it to be bad. I had a 10 hour drive home, and while he did cry and whine a bit, it wasn't too bad. He cuddled with his snuggle puppy at first, but not too much after that. He seemed to prefer beating it up and pushing it out of the spot I had put it in so he could sit there instead. He still beats it up a bit, but he also drags it back to bed after a while, so maybe he does like it.I crate trained him for overnight only (he has a large playpen for the daytime for the short amounts of time I need to be out of the house), and he adjusted quite quickly. I think I got lucky in the dog temperament lottery, though, and am not really sure I can attribute his quick adjustment to crate training to the snuggle puppy. I turn the beating heart feature on every night just in case it is working, but it's hard to say how effective it is. The first 4 to 5 nights I had him home, he cried and whined for the first 20-30 minutes he was put in the crate. Then I would take him outside after 2 hours for potty and put him straight back in and the crying/whining would start again. It was a very sleepless week until I realized that he could hold it for 4 hours at a time and we only have to get up once a night.After the first week, he adjusted to his crate and has never had an accident in there. He doesn't cry at all and is very reluctant to come out at 4 in the morning when it's potty time. I would say that if you have the extra money, get this product because it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. I really do think it's more about being present for your pup's adjustment period and not sticking him in the crate too often than it is about the efficacy of this product. I will say though that I don't use the snuggle puppy in his playpen, and he does still cry a lot in there, so maybe it is effective!
I've only had this Snuggle Puppy for a couple days so I can't comment on durability or anything. I suspect the only issue I'll potentially run into that could cause issues is how well the puppy holds up to washing. I didn't buy this for a puppy. I actually bought it for newly hatched ducklings in a brooder. Sometimes the time between hatchings leaves me with a single duckling for a day or two. Putting a baby with an adult duck isn't a safe option so I was trying to find an alternative. Stuffed animals help some but I got the feeling they really wanted a heartbeat to calm them. They may have feathers instead of fur but they're still babies!So far I'd say it's duckling approved! After snuggling with regular stuffed animals in his brooder, Eggwyn would peep hysterically for someone to pay attention to him. After putting him near Snuggle Puppy he's finally settled down and sleeping quietly. Ducklings poop a LOT so I know Snuggle Puppy will need to be laundered frequently if he stays with the ducklings. Hopefully he holds up.Edit: Snuggle Puppy survived living with 22 newly hatched ducklings in a brooder, staggered hatching over the course of several weeks. He got pooped on a few times and washed perfectly in the washing machine. I now have two ducks who imprinted on us (didn't have ducklings their age to imprint on), and since they're human ducks they sleep in the bedroom. They sleep under my bed with their Snuggle Puppy every night. About once a week or so Snuggle Puppy will get pooped on, and duck poop is gross (big duck poop is bigger and grosser than duckling poop), so Snuggle Puppy gets tossed in the laundry with the ducks' bedding. He's holding up amazingly well.After seeing how much our ducklings loved their Snuggle Puppy I decided to buy one for a friend as a puppy shower gift. They tell everyone how much their puppy loves her Snuggle Puppy. She sleeps with it in her crate every night, which means they can sleep too.Lesson learned? No matter what species your critter baby is, everyone will love a Snuggle Puppy! I only wish it was easier to get replacement hearts. I'm worried I'll forget to pull the heart out before washing puppy one of these days which would surely kill it.
