With new balls, and a new machine, the product is exactly as advertised. After 10 minutes of fetch, the ball is too wet to throw as expected. The ball gets dirty, and the machine does too, creating a muddy internal process. The balls sent with the machine were subpar quality, and lasted about 25 throws a piece before they were starting to come apart. The machine doesn't adjust for ball sizes, so as a tennis ball wears down, the machine can't grab it, and forget about a tennis ball without it's hairy skin, they are too small by far. It's charging good, and working well if I keep putting new tennis balls in it, and run a towel through it, (although that's hard to do.) I suggest a manual adjustment be added to future products, to change the distance between the wheels that grab the ball. I think a tiny tweak on my machine would allow it to through hard rubber balls that wouldn't get nearly as dirty or wet, and keep the machine cleaner. Overall, I think the product is good, but is flawed in design. If there were just a few more capacities to make it work in the field and with different ball sizes, I think it's be a very strong product.Adam T.

I bought this puzzle for my 13 week old Staffy Puppy. She had not used a dog puzzle before but I knew the easier level puzzles wouldn't challenge her enough after I had observed her getting through a lot of other mental stimulation toys with ease. On her first use it took her 30 mins to complete it and the time has reduced considerably after each use. After 2 weeks of use she can now complete it in 10 minutes and I really enjoy watching her move all the pieces to get to her favourite treats. This puzzle is fantastic for mental stimulation and it really tires her out. You can also fit an entire meal of dry food in it so it is a great slow feeder and provides me with some time out. I bought this for the time after our pup got spayed, to keep her occupied during recovery. I love that there are no separate parts to get lost or chewed. The material is very durable and has not gotten scratched even though our dog paws at it quite roughly to turn the middle circle around. It took her a while to figure out how to get her kibble out of it but still seems to enjoy it even now that she knows what to do. It also serves as a slow feeder which is a bonus! Excellent puzzle feeder, the middle disc can be easily removed as starting level. Our dog first quite easily figured out how to slide the knobs to reveal treats. When she mastered that, we added the disc back and had to help her a few times and show her how it works till she fully got it as it's much more challenging that way. You can fit quite a bit of dry food in it if you want to serve big part of their meal in it or you can simply put one or two crunchies in each compartment if you want to occupy your dog for a while without overfeeding them. My furbaby LOVES it!! I have had to learn to block spots where it easily gets stuck (under the bed, etc) but it occupies him for a good few minutes, or until it's empty. Overall, I would give this a 4.5, although I couldnt get the star rating to cooperate. Disclosure: my review is based on experience with a 4-5 mo old Pomeranian puppy 7-8 lbs. in size. With that, Ill start with the cons: The tall tower-type item presents zero challenge. Dog can basically bark at it and it flops over. That said, my teething puppy likes to chase these around on the floor and chew on it; I think he thinks these are stiffer Kongs, lol. Might be worried about choking hazard for big dog but work fine for an itty-bitty, at least until they get lost (lost pieces being why I am reordering). Pros: Puppy dances every time I pull this puzzle out. Took him a bit to figure out the rope and lever ones, but now hes a pro and additionally drags those trays around to fling in the air and chew on. (Note: holding up well so far but not letting him play unsupervised.) Had been doing some nose work (shell game, etc.) but this took it to a new, fun level. I have two Pembroke Welsh Corgis. As with most herding dogs, they are smart and they need something to do. I had tried other IQ interactive toys before, and even with the upper levels, they had them finished in 30 seconds or less. They were no challenge. That was until I found Trixie IQ toys. I had gotten them another level 3 Trixie IQ toy for Christmas, and not only was it fun and a challenge, you could keep changing it, therefore making a new challenge each time. The problem was they wanted to both do it. That was when I found this one. This not only has the pegs and sliders that the first one has, it has drawers as well. Each drawer has a different way to open it, again adding to the challenge. These are well made, even with my rough and tumble Corgis. They are made to last. I love the way that you can change the puzzle making it different each time. I haven't stopped to actually figure the thousands of combinations that you can make. You do have to play with your dog, to hide the treats as they find them. These are great toys. I would reccommend them to anyone with a dog. You can start simply and work up as your dog progresses. This is the perfect toy for any dog that loves to play fetch. The dog can even play by themselves. Once the ball is placed in the launcher it activates and shoots the ball out. (it automatically shuts off if not in use) Simply place it on the ground near you or where the dog can reach it. My dog caught on extremely quickly on how to return the ball to play again. There are 3 different distances you can set the launcher to 10ft, 20ft, and 30ft. (which is pretty accurate) if using the balls that come with the machine. (includes 3balls) The balls are the perfect size for my Yorkie measuring at aprox 2 inches wide. I found that it will also shoot any ball the same size, such as foam, or squeaky balls, but the distance differs. The machine can run via power cable that is included, or via 6 C batteries. The battery option is amazing for going to the park, and surprisingly lasts for hours. The only issues I have found is once the balls start to get dirty/wet they do not shoot out as well or as far. Also make sure the dog stays clear of the device and is not looking down the launcher to avoid injury. It would also be nice if it had an option to change it to manual. So you could load multiple in and shoot them out to be used for multiple dogs. All For Paws Interactive Automatic Ball Launcher is great product. It works just how described. The device is very well built and the concept is great. The hard part for me is training my puppy to use it. At first, my dog was afraid of the motor sound, it makes a bit of a whirring noise but after two days he got used to the sound. I started with training in increments; getting used to the sound, bring the ball back to me (next to the launcher), dropping the ball into my hands, and dropping the ball in himself (currently working on it). He does not yet feed the ball himself but I think he will learn over time. Something that I do not like about this product is the fuzzy balls. the balls become fuzzy after a few uses and within a few dozen throws. This makes my dog focus more on chewing and removing the fuzzy areas. I am going to look for some that size that are not covered in fuzzy stuff. Another issue that I have with this product is how to clean the inside after all the slobber is pushed past the gears.YM01

This is the first puzzle toy I have purchased for my 7 year old dachshund. She is a chow hound and I wanted to make treats and food a more rewarding experience for her. The first time we used this it took her maybe 5 minutes to use, just clocked her on our third use and she has figured it out in about three minutes. As far as the toys features I like that the red capsules lids snap off easily so they aren't just broken when little Winnie decides she wants to pull them off with emphasis. This might give a larger dog a harder time. Her little nose is very efficient at getting in there and flipping up the hidden compartments. My greyhound loved this!! She's clearly smarter than I gave her credit for, she worked it out quite quickly but working it out and physically completing it are two different things, so it still kept her occupied for maybe 10 minutes. Her nose was working in overdrive! I love the number of different compartments as it means there's opportunity to have so many different types of treats to keep them guessing / working for it (I used kibble, liver, training treats and a broken up schmackos all in different compartments). Mia is a 2 1/2 yr old Peke. She's a funny kind of dog! She doesn't always like things right away. This? She LEFT the fresh bits of turkey from under the plastic bones and grabbed those to play with. Both my dogs took to it quickly. I decided to try it out only for extra stimulation. One dog is an awfully fast eater so I eventually figured this would be a good “slow” feeder for her. She does not like working for her dinner haha. She’ll turn over a few bones and then walk away. I have to remind her to keep going but she does eventually finish. Only 4 stars bc he broke the squeaker on the small ball and fell out of it. The ball hasn't broken but the squeaker in it is gone. This puzzle is great if your dog is clever. It took our kelpie about 3-4 tried to work out he had to unlock the drawers before he could open them. He does tend to throw it around a bit, so I think this toy would be best if it's held down by something like a suction cup. Bit it seems quite durable and he really enjoys when we bring it out.Jake

We received this toy as a Christmas gift for our dog and the first thing that caught out attention was the baby powder type smell coming from the toy. We tried washing the toy but the smell is embedded in the rubber and won't come out. The smell lingers throughout the house and I cannot understand why PetSafe feels it is necessary to put this smell in a toy for an animal that has the ability to smell 10,000 times better than humans. What is the point? Shouldn't the dog be concerned with smelling the treat inside the toy? It does nothing for the dog or the humans around it. Like a bad perfume, this toy will not be allows to smell up our house. Make a product that has a function for the dog and leave the smell out.2 Smelly 4 Me
I have two dogs and once I filled the Busy Buddy Kibble Nibble with some of their food, it was on! It only took them a few minutes to figure out how it worked. They then played with it for hours. I could see they were really entertained and mentally engaged. I got the M/L size, even though I have small dogs, but it ended up working out. They could paw and push it around, no problem, my one dog even carried it in his mouth into a dog bed. I may have to get a second one! The opening for the food/treats to fall out is flanked by little strips of plastic, which you can cut back if the food is too big for the opening and won’t come out. However, my dogs’ food is dime-sized and the original opening worked perfectly and did not dispense too fast or slow, so I did not cut it. The product is made of VERY sturdy (but light weight) plastic, so I think large dogs would have trouble damaging it, but it is still easy to open and put treats inside. I thought that the 3 balls shared a single interior section, but they're in fact 3 separate sections with a thick lining separating them. The large version does NOT hold 2/3 of a cup of kibble & the small does NOT hold 1/4 cup of kibble. Filling all 3 sections of the toy, I was only able to put about 2/3 of each dog's meal in the toy and then had to refill with the remaining 1/3 of their meal once they emptied the toy. This is disappointing as these are not large portions & from the exterior, it would appear that the large would easily hold at least 2/3 of a cup of kibble, but it does not.I will keep using it & just have to refill with the remainder of my dogs' meals when they empty the first load, but having a single interior chamber, or at least a far thinner interior chamber would be better. Or at least update the description to tell the buyer exactly how much the whole toy holds when all 3 sections are full so we know if it's big enough for our needs.DogPro
My aussie, Tipper, loves this. I stuff it with Charlee Bear treats and she goes to town rolling and shaking it. When I leave her home, I fill it and go away knowing she'll have something fun to do.
