I'm pleased with the Slumber Pet Mega Ruffs Pet Crate Mat – Brown. It fit perfectly in my Pet Carrier I got roughly 13 yrs. ago. I lent it to someone 5 yrs. ago and when I got my carrier back the mat that came with my carrier didn't come back with it. I needed a new mat so I could use my carrier for taking in my newest baby to the vet so she could be spade. She needed a comfortable ride to and from the vet's office. I wasn't sure it would make it on time for use but it made it to me the day before, just like they promised and I am pleased to say her journey was better than it could have been without the mat. Very satisfied with my purchase and yes I would recommend it to someone else.Carla D

Dog bed is not chew proof, I purchased 6 of these dog beds this is what happened after 2 weeks of use. It is NOT chew proof, im very disappointed.Anthony

My Lab, Mack Henry, absolutely loves this bed. He now has two since there are two places he likes to hang out. They are a bit pricey but worth it for his comfort. Since he lays on his bed to watch out the window, it keeps the hair off my oriental rug. I have washed the cover on one bed twice. It looks like new. Mack is comfortable and I am happy. Just bought a new crate and our existing bed is the wrong shape so I bought this at the same time. It has two little elastic loops at one end, but I'm pretty sure that won't hold it in place and I didn't see quite how that was supposed to attach, so I didn't use them. It is quite a bit thinner then I expected (arrived folded double in a plastic envelope) My bony whippets are constantly trying to fold it over and rearrange it to find a comfortable place to lay down so I'll need to buy a second bed with more stuffing to put underneath this one. On the plus side it is a fit for the size of the crate and it is a heavy fabric. It has a tag on it saying it is guaranteed not to bunch up in the wash, so I think it will be okay as a top layer, but I wouldn't buy it again.psh1

I bought this for our new puppy which will be arriving in about a month since Petco was having a sale on it. First impression is great and it looks like it will be very comfortable. I only gave it 4 stars only because I can't comment on how it will hold up, how it will wash, and how durable it will be. This dog pad is soft and just the right amt. of thickness for my use on a leather chair seat. I use it to keep the dog hair off the chair where he likes to sit. The color is light sage and blends well with my decor. I haven't washed it yet, but I would wash it on a regular cycle not the heavy cycle and air dry it. I think it's a bit thin to use in a dog crate. For that purpose, I feel it needs more padding. The price was very good. Delivery fast.KJKJ

Normally when I order a dog bed I buy a large for my 70lb lab. The large here has the exact measurements of her other beds and says for dogs up to 90lbs so I got the large especially since it's a bit pricey. Most of the beds now we have also fits the puppy on the bed with her too on a large bed. But this bed was really small for the price, I was expecting it to be a little bigger. She barely fits on the bed and she's on the smaller range of 60-90lbs and the puppy can't fit on the bed with her. It is more fitted for my 45lb puppy. If I would've known I would've bought the bigger bed but idk if I could justify the price. The filling is a little flatter like everyone says so for the price you'd expect more than that. But the material is great. I bought heathered khaki which in the picture looks like a soft material but the bed I got looks more like the tweed material. A little disappointed since I've heard great things about orvis.KMS9

My dogs are my life! I've drooled over Orvis dog beds for years. I finally bit the bullet/splurged and purchased three for my growing pack of 5! I have four dogs of my own, with a senior hospice foster pup. With three seniors total in my house, I started thinking about replacing their old memory foam beds with the amazing Orvis beds! From working in the pet industry, I know that these beds will last forever! And if something does wear out (it would be after several years!), you can purchase replacement foam, bolsters or cover from contacting Orvis Customer Service. They are super helpful!! First, there's my red border collie, Stellar. My heart dog. She's turning 12 soon and I have definitely noticed her slowing down in the last two years. Don't get me wrong, she's still a little spit fire! But only the best for my active girl who can get pretty sore from our adventures. Stellar loves being able to sprawl with her head over the bolster. I LOVE that there is an entire side open, especially for the seniors. If she starts to become less mobile, I'll turn the bed around for easier access, so she doesn't trip over the side. My scruffy pup, Stormy, is an upside down sprawler. I think she mostly does it for attention because she knows that she's so stinkin cute, it hurts! She's one of my youngsters. My other youngster, Jupiter, the spotted pup, needs to be curled up and touching something at all times unless she's awake chewing on a bone or toy. My other two, a senior tripod and my senior hospice foster love these beds too. They all take turns except for Stella. No one sleeps in Stella's corner. 😉 I just figured I'd cover the main sleeping positions of my pack! As far as size goes, I went against my gut feeling and ordered mediums originally,(they were on sale- I couldn't resist!) but they were pretty slim width-wise. I'd say only my spotted dog could curl up in a tight little ball would just barely fit on a medium. She's a slim 55 lbs. So I've exchanged them for Larges and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the Heathered Khaki after reading some of the reviews stating that it turned out to be a little darker than pictured on the website. Good! I wanted darker! I LOVE the color. I was worried about the beds being too light with my active (and large) pack, being able to show dirt easily. But I also didn't want dog hair to stand out on a dark color such as black. I think my pictures represent the color a little better than the, although super cute, Orvis photo of Heathered Khaki. For reference, four of my dogs are Border Collies/mixes, and one is a dalmatian mix They range from 36-55 lbs. In my opinion, a shorter medium sized breed, such as a corgi, basset hound etc would fit a medium well! Hope this information has helped! Sal first had a bead-filled Orvis nest bed when he came home from rescue at age 2 and he LOVED it. He broke his ankle in 2006 and had difficulty getting up from it post-surgery, so I ordered a Bolster bed for him, which he loved, as well. The cover finally started to show wear in 2022 and I recently upgraded it to the memory foam version. He just turned 11 and has some arthritis in the ankle he broke. Of course, he loves his third Orvis bed! I'll upload some pics… he happens to be "blowing his coat" right now so the pics will show a lot of hair on the bed (as well as on our rug!). Another great feature of the fabric, as well as its durability, is how well the covers wash up based on my experience with his other Orvis beds. We have purchased the Premium Fleece Dog Bed for many of our dogs and they are always enjoyed by our dogs. They seem to find them comfortable to snuggle into the fleece and the soft, cushy filling. They are easy to clean with the quick zip-off cover. They fit nicely in spaces in any room. Our dog also has the LLBean couch bed and has really liked that too. I cover the couch bed with an LLBean dog blanket that I can wash quickly because it is not as easy to remove/replace the couch bed cover for washing as how easily the Premium Fleece Dog Bed cover can be washed. I purchased the Premium Fleece Dog Bed Set, Medium, Rectangular as well as the Replacement Cover in Denim. I have a 12 lb. Chihuahua/Fox Terrier that is about the size of an average Jack Russell or Beagle and she loves, loves, loves her bed. The padding is well made and has a little bit of a groove all around with a little bit of a bump in the center. So it is not completely flat, which I have learned from observing our furry pet that it serves a purpose. She likes to rest within the groove for security. On other days she likes to rest her head and chest on the bump in the center which elevates her a little bit. Our dog used have a cheap bed that became too soft and did not hold up well once it got old. Especially when she laid against the side walls. It had a tendency to flatten out. Plus, it had a plush-life fabric that was too warm in the summertime, and she would hang partially off the bed onto the hardwood floor which is cooler. So, comfort, temperature, structure, and durability were factors taken into consideration in searching for a new bed. I had read reviews about the padding falling apart in the washer or tearing from digging. I have not had to wash the pad because I have covered the bed and denim cover with a crib-size bed pad and a fitted bedsheet for added protection; and because our pooch has always enjoyed the feel and texture of a bedsheet. She just got used to looking for cooling spots on her beds after we tried keeping her cool on other retailer beds that had either foam or cheap fill which caused her become too warm. But she does love her Sherpa adult throw. Not familiar with L.L. Bean pet products, I decided to purchase the bed set that came with the fleece cover and also ordered the replacement cover in denim which is a soft denim. It is not stiff or rough as in jean denim. I was concerned the fleece cover might be too warm, and I wanted to have the option to change from a warmer cover to a cooler one being that it was summertime when my order arrived, so that was the reason in my purchasing the denim replacement cover as well. When my order arrived, I placed the denim cover on the pad and it has held up really well. It doesn't show dirt and our pooch likes it. I was afraid it would rip when she sniffed the bed and began digging but that has not been the case. So it has stood pretty well to that. I have not replaced the denim cover with the fleece cover yet, but weather is starting to change and getting cooler. I will probably change from the denim liner to the Sherpa liner soon. I also want to add that I ordered a medium size bed which is a little bigger than what is recommended for a dog her weight/size because she likes to spread out. That was also one reason why I chose a bed that is not enclosed or has side walls. If it's any help to anyone reading this review, the medium bed is about four inches short the length of a baby crib mattress. It's the best bed I have bought. I haven't seen anything else at other stores that meet the same quality of L.L. Bean products, and I highly recommend this bed.Mimi

We use these in our hotel for our guests that bring their dogs and, oh boy, do we get a LOT of guests with adorable dogs of all ages and sizes. These beds are holding up amazingly well through multiple washings. I'm actually here on the LL Bean website to order more because we have had so many dogs staying with us, we have had nights where we did not have enough dog beds to accommodate all of our four-legged guests. I highly recommend these beds. We have the Platinum color and they look very classy and are still so durable and stain-resistant.
