We have purchased quite a few items from PetSafe over the years and have always been happy with the quality. The idea of it is cool. Our pup likes to go the park but I always take the older car. The gray color of this is nice and it doesn't look too bad with my new car interior. It secures to the headrest and seats. The bolster is quite firm and supportive but it isn't my favorite PetSafe item by far. While inserting the bolster, my fingers kept poking through the fabric. I've dealt with the same type of fabric before with other beds and never had an issue. Once I got it in there, the zipper was stretched to the max. I was sure it was going to be the first thing to go. It says this bed is machine washable but I wouldn't. The actual fuzzy part of the bed has a cushion you insert too but even with it, there's no "bed" at all really. Very thin materials. It's not holding up well so far. If you have a smaller dog that doesn't move around much in the backseat it may work better. I just don't think it holds up good for big dogs like mine. My wife's car has leather seats and we noticed that the bed slips all over the place. No grippers on the bottom at all. I can't really recommend it.semiller3
This dog bed is great for my Labrador Retriever! She loves to be able to stretch out across the back seat of the car. We use to use a sheet on the back seat when taking the dogs for car rides, it would move around and not really protect the back seat. This car dog bed was so easy to install and our dogs love it. Our lab use to always sit the entire time while in the car, the seat part is so comfy that he actually lays down and looks so relaxed now. The seat anchors really help keep it in place and was super easy to clean. Love that you can take the padding out so you can wash it when it gets really dirty. I got the XL because he is pretty sprawly in our bed (we have a king). It is perfect for him. I had purchased the older version of this bed a few years ago (not from here thank gawd) it was amazing went to find another and found this which seems to be updated version. I have been through numerous beds and this one by far is the best. I was looking for something that wouldn't wear down and get flattened from use within mths. I was also looking for a waterproof liner as our Dane sometimes has accidents at night. This bed is just like a human mattress and the foam is lined to keep accidents out. Many beds have uncomfortable material that is used for the waterproofing, this bed has regular material for comfort where the dog lays and has a separate soft layer of waterproofed material around the foam mattress. Both can be taken off easily and washed. The next day I went back to this same Slumberland with my daughter. The salesperson, Nancy, came over and asked me how I liked the pet beds. When I told her how the boxes were left outside and no one would carry them upstairs, she replied, that's what you get with free delivery. I am still upset with her comment. These beds are great quality. I have 2 springer spaniels that used to eat there beds. They also like to go out swimming in the ponds and come in soaking wet. Their current beds are 2 years old and when they get dirty I hose them off and they look great. No chew holes, but after 2 years i thought they needed some backups when they come in all sloppy. Purchased 2 mediums for a 32lb dog and a 5 lb puppy. Both fit in there own car seat beautifully with some small blankets. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. Its not real thick about 2 inches but soft and she seems to like it better than the sheepskin rug she use to sleep on.She rotates from this to the thicker bed, but I think this one gets a little more use.All in all a good bed that is easy to throw in the washing machine, soft and good neutral color. I was initially worried when I purchased this bed because I had in the past the fleece version which shed little white fleece balls all over my carpet. I went ahead and purchased the gray fur one because I knew my dog loved his other one, it was comfortable, fit nicely in the cage, was really easy to wash (no messy stuffing to take out) and honestly it was the only bed he wouldn't chew. After talking with customer service, I was assured that they had no complaints about shedding from the synthetic fur ones so I made the purchase. So far, so good. No shedding and my dog, Amigo, has cuddled up to this one just like his last Quiet Time dog bed.kak0317
The bed is not as plush as I had expected it to be for my very large breed dog, I think I probably could have done better using the amount of money towards a thicker bed on sale in a pet store. The color claimed as cinnamon, is really a gold and that would have never been my choice.ceemee
I purchased this for my huge Great Pyrenees who sleeps in our garage. He is getting older and his hips bother him from time to time. I was expecting a little more padding as it is fairly thin but at least it is big enough for him. Tractor Supply stores stock smaller versions of this same bed if you want to look before you buy.Yetiowner

This bed is very well made and my dog loves it! I have a 80lb lab mix who is starting to have hip issues. He likes to stretch out. The reviews/size guide indicated he would fit the large. I got the XL because he is pretty sprawly in our bed (we have a king). It is perfect for him. If your dog sleeps curled up, you can go with the large but for someone who stretches out this was perfect and the bed itself is not ridiculously oversized.AJPP
I had purchased the older version of this bed a few years ago (not from here thank gawd) it was amazing went to find another and found this which seems to be updated version. Well FINALLY got it (tractor supply cheap and doesnt pay for wknd delivery) the cover is so rough and not soft at all and what its sad is the arms are not attached.(so i could have planned for the extra space would have been nice to know. as much money as this costs as i first time customer i will be a last time customer.TC95
I have been through numerous beds and this one by far is the best. I was looking for something that wouldn't wear down and get flattened from use within mths. I was also looking for a waterproof liner as our Dane sometimes has accidents at night. This bed is just like a human mattress and the foam is lined to keep accidents out. Many beds have uncomfortable material that is used for the waterproofing, this bed has regular material for comfort where the dog lays and has a separate soft layer of waterproofed material around the foam mattress. Both can be taken off easily and washed. I ended up getting more than one bed as they are so well made and large enough for our Dane to sprawl out on and have the support under her.Pros: looks, support, water resistantCons: expensive

We bought 2 of these dog beds. When we got home we noticed only one of the beds actually had the foam mattress, the other was cut up foam pieces in the bottom of the bed. We returned the faulty one and the rest available were the same. We could not find the bes that actually had the one piece foam. Are the beds supposed to have the solid orthopedic foam or just pieces of what appears to be cut up foam? Beware of when you buy this that you get the correct one.Annette
