It, thoughtfully, has areas that our dogs can see us at all times, and we can see our dogs, too. I got this more to take our cats back and forth to the vet that dogs. It is larger than I expected, with plenty of room for them to move around. I love that is folds down for easy storage. I also like the zippered openings at the top and the side. It is easier to get the cat in from the top. The crate is very sturdy and I like the larger handles. I got this product for a cat carrier to go to vet appointments. First impression, definitely worth the price tag and super sturdy! We opened it and let both our cats explore and get comfortable in it. They fell in love and currently it’s still in my living room with two flaps up secured with the velcro. They have been fighting over whose “house” it is so I didn’t have the heart it to take it down since one compromised using the top net opening as a hammock! The colors are nice and so far it’s held up great! For size reference my cats are 11 and 16 lbs and both fit comfortably in it for a car ride to their appts or traveling. Great kennel. Even better shipping, came to my house in 2 days after ordering. I wouldn't go off of the weight recommendation when purchasing this kennel for your dog- the XL says for dogs 50-70 lbs and my golden is 60 lbs however my golden although being within the weight limit was a tad bit too long for this size. I did take it back to my local Petco to exchange for a slightly larger size (size 40 inches in length) and the store's customer service was phenomenal in helping me with my exchange. This kennel is strong. The tie-down holes, one per corner, go through both the top half and the bottom half of the kennel, which is an excellent improvement over no tie down holes. Another improvement over the old version is that water cannot collect on top since there are no bowl-like indentations on the top. The door is heavy construction, and can be mounted as Left or Right swing. I put the kennel on the passenger's side of the vehicle so that I can use the empty space behind the driver for carrying a jug of water, leashes, and other stuff. The advertised length is 40", but be aware that the usable length or "inside" length is 33". This is adequate if your dog is 33" or less from the top of the tail to the end of his front nails, while lying in the "sphinx" position. ONE CON: There are no drainage holes in the bottom half. I plan to drill my own (well, get the hubby to do it). A suggestion for the manufacturer: Make a Truck Version of the kennel. It would be the same as this except for two changes: (1) Add drain holes, and (2) Make the top rear panel (opposite the door) from transparent acrylic, so the driver can see through it. This would be a safety feature, as the blind spot would be reduced.Karen
Excellent dog kennel/crate, easy to assemble and relatively lightweight, but strong. Came with extra fasteners for the top and bottom sections, which I have put aside for possible future use. Also has nice hand hold areas underneath the rim on both sides of the kennel for carrying/lifting.

It is utilized in our camper for our 90 pound chocolate lab. She fits well enough to lay down and it was not wrecked the first few uses, but she is crate trained. I do however believe the bottom material could've used some more reinforcement as a dog that size wont take much to make an accidental rip. This crate tucks in nicely by the bed. I had to twist the crate to get it to fit, but since it is soft sided, it was easy to do. I have 2 long haired miniature dachshunds, and they both have plenty of room and are really happy to have their blankets and sleeping space. The crate is well made and is perfect for my needs. I looked at a number of options and could not find another crate as narrow as this one. The metal door is easy to close and I was able to flip it so the door opened the direction I needed. The only negative is with the limited space, the opening radius of the door is fairly limited. Both my dogs can easily fit, but depending on the space in your unit, a larger dog might have troubles fitting through the door. This is such a great product – I'm extremely happy we purchased this. We got it for an upcoming tent camping trip. Our dog typically sleeps in her crate at night but its too large and being metal we were afraid it would rip the tent. I found this item and couldn't be more pleased! Super convenient in its carrying case, very easy to put together, and even comes with stakes in case you do want to use it outside and make sure it doesn't blow away. For the cost too – this is such a great purchase! Notes: the color is more of a burnt orange color. The front/back zipper onto the middle section. We did opt to add another layer of cushion because the one provided is quite thin. We have a 50lb small-ish pit who likes to be super comfy all the time.
I purchased one of these right after I moved into our current home, which was over five years ago. It held up beautifully. I would take it out and hose it down now and again to keep it clean and dustless. I decided to replace it only because the dog loves it so much and it was starting to look a little shabby. Putting this together – I would say that the plastic is a good construction, the clasps and screws are great, and the metal bars for the windows look to be a decent quality. They ship you extra clips and screws in case you have a problem. I personally don't like the wheels (on any crate), so I'll leave those off and the pet bowl might be okay if I was sending the dog via airplane. The Large size isn't very large in my opinion. A dog should be able to stand up, turn around and lay down. I think this crate is more like a 50 pound max than 75. My 10 week old Golden Female Retriever will likely outgrow this kennel in 6 months and be in that weight range. In a way I'd like to exchange it for a bigger one.RichH

This crate will be used to send my pet on an international flight through a pet relocation company. The plastic construction of the crate seems durable and I had no issues putting it together, except for the metal crate door pin that does not seem to align properly with the top hole when I try to close it every time. I have to push the door in a certain way for it to pop into the hole, so it must be misaligned during manufacturing. I can't provide feedback yet as to it durability until after the trip has been made. Just a heads up for first time buyers, when ordering, it is the internal height, length and width of the crate that matters. Initially, I had bought the smaller size crate due to the external measurements and then realized that the internal dimensions were too small for my chihuahua/rat terrier to stand in. I had to return it and order the next size up. Additionally, I also had to factor in the water and food bowls, as they will take some space away lengthwise. This medium size crate is perfect and has enough room for my dog to stand, turn and lay down comfortably even with the food bowls attached to the crate door.

Most of all, our dog took to it the first time. We had the S, same company. Uma is getting big now. Of course, we chose the same company and same product, just L in size. When a puppy, accidents do happen. It is easy to clean. Uma is about 20lbs now and can stand up in the kennel. Still plenty of height room. She may become 30-40lbs and this kennel will be all we need. Our use is for nighttime and when we go out. We have the gray which does not stand out. It is a neutral color and looks good in your kitchen, bedroom or where you keep your dog. The kennel also provides a rectangular cage on both sides on the top half so the dog can look out. We did switch out the bolts with the petco travel pack sold in stores to be airline compliant. We have a chubby chihuahua that is petrified of the wind and storms we have here during the monsoon season… I'ved tried a calming coat and letting her sleep with us but she shakes so badly, no one could get any sleep! I had a feeling this little pink crate might do the trick! At first, she was hesitant to even get in it, but I left her little bed in it and after only 2 days she was laying in there and feeling very secure! We had lots of wind and dust storms the last two nights and son of a gun, there was Baby, tucked in her crate, not bothered by the storm. My 3 year old grandson was over today playing with his toys in it and it's pretty sturdy too! Setting it up took only two minutes right out of the box with no loose parts to worry about. Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. And the ease of folding it up flat to travel makes it perfect for a portable cage.krmills

This is not really a kennel, more like a pop up shelter as it will not really confine a dog or cat that wants to get out of it. I use it to create a den-like atmosphere for my dog, a go to place when we are travelling. I was skeptical tht it would be what I wanted but OMG. I was so excited when I saw the size of it and not only does our biggest dog fit comfortably, but all 3 fit into this spacious kennel. This item did not disappoint and in fact, exceeded my expectations. The demensions are perfect for where we keep it and the side door is super convenient. I got it on sale for half price and honestly, I regret not buying one sooner, sale or not. It is fully worth it to not see a big dog sitting halfway up and hunched over cuz he is too tall. His smile is huge cuz he is a GSD that needs the space. The advertisement pic with the Golden Retriever for a size comparison seemed fake to me but there is no exaggeration on the size. It's fine as long as you keep the door closed. The one thing I really dislike is the door doesn't swing open all the way so, unless it is closed, it sticks out into the room for us to trip over. It should open 180 degrees so it sits flush with the side of the crate. This was true of our last crate, which also made it very simple and quick to remove and re-attach the door if we wanted it off completely. This crate does neither so we live with it sticking out into our walkway, constantly in the way and, when we bump it, swinging closed so our dog cannot cannot get into her crate. She used to enjoy her crate during the day as well as sleeping in it at night. It's her safe space. So, we want her to have 'in and out' privileges all day but this door makes it tough. Had to adjust(bend) the bottom catch so wall would not give my dog the opportunity to find a point of egress. He does not care for it. Hoping he will adjust to it. Usual trading methods not working. Since he was mistreated, I assume a cage was used as a means of punishment. Please don't do that to your dog. I bought this as a smaller travel crate for my female lab when I have to leave her in the car or travel long distances.(she eats seatbelts) It’s sturdy and I love that it has multiple points that you can use bungee cords or various straps to strap it in so it doesn’t slide around. I see a lot of reviews about dogs chewing through but honestly I see that as negligence on owners parts and not a fault in product. If a dog is so anxious and left alone long enough to chew through a crate, then they aren’t crate trained properly or don’t have the correct outlets to keep them from wanting to get out of the crate. My dog has some separation anxieties and this crate has kept her safe and secure in various environments and scenarios. I usually use metal crates but I like that this is plastic as I feel it’s safer if I was to get into an accident. I gave it four stars because, like other reviews, I have a hard time getting the door to close properly all the time. I’ve tried a lot of different tightnesses on the screws and different positions and it just always seems to have issues. But overall a good product that is worth the cost in my opinion.rahrah14
This kennel/crate was purchased when we adopted our puppy. He hates to be crated and we are working on that, but he does not chew, just scratches at the door and then settles in. He is about 30 pounds at 3-4 months old and is currently teething. We only leave him alone in it for about 2-3 hours at a time and always with a chew toy, like a Kong filled with peanut butter. We have had it for about a month and has not been able to chew the crate or escape and has not hurt himself on it while trying to scratch his way out. He is slowly getting used to this crate, and I like that it is a travel crate if/when we need it to be. It is also very easy to clean if your puppy/dog does have an accident as you can just take it out and hose it down. The one thing is that it is a little tricky to close all the way as it is really tight and you need to make sure to push the door all the way in and that the rods at the top and bottom line up. Other than that, this crate is perfect for our needs when we do need to leave him alone for a couple of hours.Kujokat

A red folding carrier was available on this site for only 9.99. I paid much more for this carrier because every photo conveyed it as a soft, grayish green and white that perfectly matched my decor. We received a saturated, dark green carrier with cream accents. We're using it to conceal our cat's litter box, so the color matters. Love the convenience of this kennel – zips apart into three pieces and folds down completely flat into a carrying case that's included. Can be used indoor/outdoor. Zippers work well, and minimal mesh is nice. Still very breathable. This one came with a mat unlike many others available. It is a pretty thin mat but that's okay, my puppy prefers it. Now, she is a 4-month old puppy and I never would have used this to crate train her. She would have shredded it to bits trying to get out. This should only be used for crate-trained dogs, and not doing so is where all of the bad reviews for this type of crate come from, I think. The first night we had this, we opened the door to let her out and she refused to come out! Just rolled over and went back to sleep. I like this kennel it folds flat and is light weight and easy to set up. The bag is a great feature and makes packing easier. Velcro fasteners that hold up the windows are a bit jankie and that could be improved. Thats why I gave it a 4. I had borrowed the same kennel from my daughter for a recent trip with my puppy. I was satified with it so I purchased this for a maltipoo puppy for when we travel and she needs a place to sleep and be confined. It will not hold a dog that chews or tries to escape. So I dont understand the negative reviews others have given about their dogs destroying it. Its a soft side kennel so what do you expect? I am pleased with my purchase.T Farley

I am very happy with this crate, as is my puppy! It's the perfect size for her now and even when she gets to be full size. She loves to lay in it and so do my cats. Reviews are misleading. I cannot imagine that this thing sits under an airline seat. This thing is as big as a dog house. I have a 6 pound Yorkie. I am four foot ten inches tall. There is no way that I am going to haul this thing around. Now I will have to return it. This soft-sided cat carrier is just what I needed and I'm so happy at how quickly it arrived. I have used the heavy, hard plastic carriers for years, but this is much more convenient. I love my new pet carrier my three kittens fit inside just perfectly they are about 12 weeks old and they fit comfortably all three of them and it isn't that heavy it has a carry strap as well as the handles. It also has poles inside that you fit together (very simple) which makes this carrier a lot more sturdier when sitting on its own on the floor. There are two bags that hang on the side as well for toys or a bowl if you like or a leash. And I figured out there is a hanging strap inside which can also be used to hook on your pet as a short leash which keeps them connected to the carrier it only bout 12in long. If this strap serves any other purpose can someone else put that in the review because I couldn't figure out any other reason this would be here. The carrier also folds and collapses into a flat easier item to store. Easy to clean material.

Our new hound arrived 2 mo ago from a rescue group in Mobile, AL. We started him in a large hard-sided crate for ‘security’ but he quickly settled into sleeping and being confined when we left for errand running. He often investigated his sister’s large soft-sided crate and would settle there for a nap so he seemed ready for his own. So now we have two of these is our bedroom. Tess’ door flap has been left open for over a year – she prefers her crate to sharing the bed with us. Enzo’s still confined by the flap as he’s pretty mischievous. Each dog was sized up a size for their weight 42 & 52 lbs as they alternate between being curled up and stretched out when they sleep. The crates are easy to vacuum out toe dog hair and come with a nice fleece covered mat that is a washable cover over an encased foam. The case is also removable by zippered closure. So I like the idea of this kennel. Foldable great! That way it doesn’t take up so much space when the dog no longer needs it, or for ease of transportation. Hose off, a must. The first one came broken at the hinges, replaced quickly. However it is not an effective kennel for (some) dogs. My 25# girl broke out after only a few days of use. Tt was showing no issues the morning when she went in, but upon returning home the mesh window on the short side opposite the door was shredded. Unfortunate. This is not an issue covered by the warranty. At this price it should do better. Would I recommend it… well I won’t buy it again.Trayounger
We bought this crate around a year and a half ago, it has been barely used and when used it has simply set in the boot so no abuse to it… it is literally falling apart. The zip is broken and the side panel stitching has come apart. It was a waste of money. I was so pleased at the start but it just doesn’t hold any kind of use. For the money spent I’m frustrated. I have tried calling customer services multiple times, no answer and then one answered then hung up on me! I really wouldn’t recommend this for any kind of proper use.Catherine005
