I bought two of these for my Rough Collie. He was about 70-75 pounds and very old. I needed something to keep him off the hard floor. He road 1500 miles in the back of my car on his bed and was super comfy the whole way! We had them in the bedroom and in the living room for him. He loved them a lot. We had them for close to 2 years before another dog decided to keep urinating on them. I was able to wash the covers easily but the foam was getting really stained and gross smelling.Raquel C.
So far this bed seems great. My favorite part is that it didn't have any foam odor when it arrived! I have two dogs, a mini-Aussie in this size range and a border collie slightly larger than this range. Both use the bed happily (never together). The fabric isn’t showing any signs of wear. The egg crate is somewhat compressed, but still offers plenty of padding (I can’t touch the floor through it). We own two of these exact beds (one is 4 month of use and the other less than a month). Dog likes the bed, but it will be impossible to clean. Bottom pad zips out easily. But for the bolster surrounding the bed… absolute ridiculousness!!! There is a 4-5 inch zipper out of which you would have to remove the loose bolster padding. Allll the way around the bed through this ridiculously small opening. And, the bolster padding is loose fluff, not even encapsulated in some form of baggie. Then, after washing, you 'd have to stuff this loose stuffing back into the bolster, 360 degrees around the bed, again thru this absurd 4-5 inch hole. This is nuts!! So, an apparently comfortable bed (per my pup) that is IMPOSSIBLE to clean (per pup's maid). And at at $80 price! I am less than impressed!!!rox p

We have purchased quite a few items from PetSafe over the years and have always been happy with the quality. The idea of it is cool. Our pup likes to go the park but I always take the older car. The gray color of this is nice and it doesn't look too bad with my new car interior. It secures to the headrest and seats. The bolster is quite firm and supportive but it isn't my favorite PetSafe item by far. While inserting the bolster, my fingers kept poking through the fabric. I've dealt with the same type of fabric before with other beds and never had an issue. Once I got it in there, the zipper was stretched to the max. I was sure it was going to be the first thing to go. It says this bed is machine washable but I wouldn't. The actual fuzzy part of the bed has a cushion you insert too but even with it, there's no "bed" at all really. Very thin materials. It's not holding up well so far. If you have a smaller dog that doesn't move around much in the backseat it may work better. I just don't think it holds up good for big dogs like mine. My wife's car has leather seats and we noticed that the bed slips all over the place. No grippers on the bottom at all. I can't really recommend it.semiller3
This dog bed is great for my Labrador Retriever! She loves to be able to stretch out across the back seat of the car. We use to use a sheet on the back seat when taking the dogs for car rides, it would move around and not really protect the back seat. This car dog bed was so easy to install and our dogs love it. Our lab use to always sit the entire time while in the car, the seat part is so comfy that he actually lays down and looks so relaxed now. The seat anchors really help keep it in place and was super easy to clean. Love that you can take the padding out so you can wash it when it gets really dirty. Great mat but it showed and I had to open it and fully allow it to rise before we noticed it was not the correct size. I had measured and it seems this one is not the correct size. Weird as I order all the time. The box did not have the size or identification on it for me to confirm prior to opening. This seems to be a good dog bed. Be prepared…. it takes 3 to 4 days for it to “fluff up”. It comes rolled up and it was really flat considering the specifications said it was 4” high! We purchased 2 xl beds. They came wrapped in plastic and vacuum sealed. The directions said they should fully expand in 24 to 72 hours. We are on day 5, and one of the beds is almost fully expanded, but the 2nd bed is still very squished in the center and corners. We are following the directions and shaking them several times a day. Im beginning to think the 2nd bed may have to be returned/replaced. I will give it a couple more days, but it dosent look like it has made any progress in the last couple days.Brenda101

I ordered a Medium, and I'm pretty sure I got a Large. It's bigger than the Medium size bed, and since it's for my kitten, I'm really hoping he grows into it! I have this exact same bed in a medium size that I purchased years ago, and the foam in that one is a LOT thicker than the foam in the one I received from Groupon. I'm not sure if that's a change in production/quality by Furhaven products, but I do wish the foam was thicker, especially for such a large bed. My two dogs, who are very particular about laying on blankets and pillows, both gravitated to this bed as soon as I put it out for them. They love the combination of the orthopedic bed with the soft and fuzzy plush covering on it and will stay there for hours, when they used to only curl up on the couch with a blanket with a human. Their immediate satisfaction with the bed was a very pleasant surprise and I cannot stress enough how picky my dogs are about where/what they lay on and how much they love this bed. I ordered this after my 60lb Golden girl refused to leave my sister’s Golden’s bed over the holidays. My sister told me where she got it and I ordered my girl one immediately! It is a nice thick bed with a very soft cover. I got the beige/cream color, which has a little bit more yellow tinge to it than I’d like, but it still matches our home decor & her hair color the best out of the options. I got the Jumbo size which gives her plenty of room to sprawl out when she wants. I love that it has a little height on the sides for when she wants her head elevated. This bed is soft and my dog seems to find it comfortable. It’s a good neutral color that blends nicely into my living room. The downside is that the cover cannot be removed for washing, but for the price, I guess I can vacuum the fur off and spot clean to make it last long enough. They advise this as a good size for large breed dogs, including Golden Retrievers (this is specifically listed on the packaging). My Golden is small for her breed – she was the runt of her litter – and this bed is just barely big enough for her (see pic). Got this bed a substitute in a pick up order. I allowed the substitute bc the reviews were good. I will be returning it now that I’ve seen it. The bumper edges are great and filled with a thick lining so they feel comfortable for a large dog. The actual bed part is very thin and my 60lb dog will basically be on the floor. I bought 2 of these beds! The small and the larger. Let me first say this: Zero things are indestructible. If your pet is chewing things up, you’re not doing right by him/her. Its called training and plenty of it. Don’t write a bad review about a great product because you didn’t do your part. If you want to keep your pups from harm and save all the things you’ve spent your hard earned money on, put in the work! They are not going to train themselves. I have 4 pets and they refuse to use this. I have even put catnip on it so that maybe my cat would use it and she is refusing to use it as well. They are all scared of it, it is lumpy and slides all over the floor so they can't even get into it and then it scares them when it moves. I have even tried putting it on top of a larger pet bed so that it won't move around on them but they won't go near it. Such a waste of money.cjay

I got one of these beds (36” XL) for my pup who has separation anxiety. When she isn’t sleeping in bed with me, she is snuggled into her faux fur bed. I brought it to my parent’s place when I had a trip and, surprisingly to all of us, my dad’s 10 yr old Anatolian Shepard Mix (who was born in a cave in Afghanistan) fell in love with it. This dog does not like any type of comfort. Beds, toys, treats… she has never shown any interest in anything my dad has given her. When I returned from my trip the first thing I was asked is where I got it. Ever since Bella got her own fur donut bed, she seems to be actually sleeping better and less anxious… about everything. This has to be the best dog bed I have ever purchased. My dog plays toss with it. My baby also hides his toys and bones in it and He sleeps in it. It is super soft and furry. I do not recommend washing no matter ehat the instructions state but spot clean it as needed. I have never seen a pet bed washed that comes out like it went in. I cannot say anything negative about this pet bed except I need more for the cats. This particular size pet bed runs for around $35. The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. I thought the fluffy fabric would be thicker but it is a bit thin for my taste. It does seem to be well constructed though. Do not stick this size in a large home dryer as it is too big and the heat will matte the fluffy strands (almost like melting) from the heat because it cannot move around enough. These are the cutest little beds! I only planned to have them out during the Christmas period, but my pets love them! I have 2 cats and 2 dogs, but only 2 sleigh beds. As soon as I unpacked it and placed it on the floor, he jumped right in and pushed the sides with his nose for about 10 minutes m, while scratching at the center, turned his body in three full circles and then laid down and dropped his head over the side and it has been his bed ever since. This dog bed is by far the worst bed I have ever purchased!! The very first thought that came to my mind was “ This manufacturer must think who cares it’s just an animal they will sleep anywhere on anything”! Notice to all animal parents.. If you have an arthritic or elderly fur baby I DO NOT recommend this bed!! I don’t recommend this bed period!!! The stuffing in the bed is hard brick like shredded foam that I had to manually break up by hand so it wasn’t hard lumps n bumps. It wasn’t stuffed with the material in the manufacturer’s discrimination!! So washing the inside fill liner is completely out of the question. The outer cover is soft but thin and so loose around the liner it bunches up and slips around. I am going to add the bolsters from my dogs old bed to see what I can do to make this atrocity better! A suggestion to the manufacturer…Make this a fill it yourself bed because that’s exactly what this ends up being!!!!Erica

I didn’t give it 5 stars because it’s more of a pancake with a thin lip encircling it rather than a donut, and the lip isn’t much higher than the middle. The advertised pictures show a dog sunken into the middle and encompassed by the outer “donut” rim but when my 30 lb. Whippet/Terrier mix lays down it’s more like she’s sitting on it rather than in it. However she doesn’t seem to mind and obviously being a dog, she doesn’t know it was supposed to be any other way. I’m not complaining, since she seems to like it, but just wanted others to know it’s not exactly what they advertise.Dog Mama
The 1st one I received I had taken out of the box, fluffed and it seemed to flatten like in a day or two. Not a snuggle bed plus it did not look like the picture. The 2nd one arrived and this one weighed so much more (probably twice the amount) and was stuffed a lot better which made it look like the picture. This dog bed is great! I got the 28×28 and it is perfect for my 10lb Shihtzu. I’m so glad I didn’t get the smallest size because it would be way to small. So unless your dog is really tiny, don’t get the smallest one. My dog is enjoying his bed, he can prop is head on it and it’s so soft (but more firm on the bottom, which I like). Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. Its not real thick about 2 inches but soft and she seems to like it better than the sheepskin rug she use to sleep on.She rotates from this to the thicker bed, but I think this one gets a little more use.All in all a good bed that is easy to throw in the washing machine, soft and good neutral color. This bed is amazing for so many reasons. My cat doesn't usually take to beds purchased from pet supply stores or big box stores because they smell like other animals, even after several washings. This time I tried buying online and I'm SO GLAD I did! The bed came quickly and was vacuum sealed. Sometimes items that are sealed like this smell of plastic or cleaning solutions, not this bed! It smelled great, fresh and clean. I followed the instructions for fluffing the fibers and tossing it in the dryer for a short tumble. It puffed up just perfectly. My 2 multi shitz dogs love these beds. It's the "deep dish" they like & the edge they use like a pillow. I got 1 for each. They are med. Small 10 – 13 lbs. & with plenty of room.
