I was so happy to find this item. The description states "Recommended for pets 65 to 110 lbs" but I wanted a dog bed with more body so I purchased this for my two dogs to share – one weighing 45 one weighing 55 pounds. They both take turns using it. I have a few beds at different places on the floor, and was looking for one that was waterproof. This wonderful item is thick, but comfortable enough for my senior dogs, and has a nice cover which unzips on TWO sides making removal and putting back on so easy. (If you have struggled with those pads that require stuffing in the inner pad you know what I mean.) The outer cover washes nicely (I zip it almost completely closed and wash on gentle, being careful not to catch any loose threads into the zipper.) There is a separate inner cover made of a plastic type material which also zips on, but you probably would not be taking that off as you could wipe it clean if needed. I liked this bed but my dogs do not seem to even after a few months. Not sure why but they're two small dogs and prefer to share one big bed their last one was soft and fluffy this one is harder and maybe that's it. I have a 40 lbs border collie mix. The medium bed is just a little smaller/ thinner than I was hoping for, but I think it will work for camping. My dog will lay on the ground, but she will usually try to squeeze onto my sleeping pad with me as the night progresses. Others have mentioned the soft cover is just a tad too small for the bed when the dog bed is inflated. When inflated and with or without the cover, the bed makes the loud ‘crunch’ sound that many inflated pads make when my dog lays on it or moves around on it. This bed looks great and the cover material is very good. But the dog in the product photo must weigh about 5 pounds, because the bed fill is really lightweight. Our dog weighs 19 pounds, and the photo attached shows how much she compresses the bed. So for a quite small dog the bed is fine. Based on the pictures, i thought this bed would be more of a grey blue color – it is straight up navy blue, and an ugly navy blue at that. Also, the packaging it came in was just lazy… they couldn't even vacuum seal it in plastic, it was just crammed in a box that was bursting at the seams, and it smells horrible. Also, why could petco not ship both my items together?? Why is my 2nd item being shipped separately? I am giving this one star because the material seems durable and easy to clean. What I received is not comparable to the bed pictured. In the picture, the bed is at least 3-4 inches thick. The one we received had little to no fill, so it is about 1 inch thick, like fabric with no stuffing. To ad insult to injury, the CS for this company told me I would be paying for the return and restocking as they have never had complaints about this item. My cocker uses this as a play mat in the living room. Since he is not allowed on the sofa or carpet, this pad is for him to sit/lay comfortably while he hangs out with the family. It's padded enough to keep him comfortable and happy on the hard ceramic floors of our house. I've noticed that it's not padded enough for him to sleep comfortably through the night. After 3 or 4 hours, he'll go to his plush bed to get real sleep. My dog loved the mat as soon at it arrive. He knew it was his right when I was taking it out of the box. The mat arrived quickly and packaged well. No damage and in perfect condition. Once I took it out of the plastic and set it on the floor, it was ready to go. As a play mat, it can't be better. it's stain and odor resistant. My dog has oily skin that tends to be on the smellier side and I don't really see it affecting the mat much. The mat is black so I can't see the oily shadow that would usually appear on other dog beds I buy for my dog. The bottom is slip resistant. My cocker sheds and I like that the hairs don't stick to it. I can easily vacuum the mat with the crevice tool on my vacuum. I've had it a month and other than the rawhide/saliva marks that are left on it after a couple long chewing sessions, the bed still looks new. I just take some water, a toothbruch, and baby wipes to the rawhide/saliva marks and after some light brushing and wiping, it's clean again. I want to get a smaller one for my car. Excellent product. Have Midwest brand crates for greyhounds and no previous crate beds compares to this one. I have four of these beds now and am very pleased with overall quality. Perfect fit, doesn't move around, dogs love the bumper sides, and can be made more nest-like with addition of soft blanket. This size washes nicely in commercial machine and air dries rapidly in the event of an incident. Definitely would purchase again.Carolyn

I bought a heated house for my (4) cats – it was set up in my unheated workshop. I noticed that one cat liked being inside, while 3 did not seem interested. Over the summer, I disassembled the house to clean it, and to clean the cover on the heated pad, and noticed that all of the cats were comfortable with just the pad. So, I ordered several more pads, and now have the house, plus several pads, placed in the shop, as well as happy, warm cats. The only 'downside' I can see. Several of the cats like them so much on cold winter days, that they don't go outside as much. They act as if they are almost drugged by the comfort of the pad, and sleep much of the day away. 🙂 (And, now, I am going to buy another one, for our dog.)Colliam7
I bought this last week for my outside dog. She is not a fan. I would not recommend this product at all. The product has flaws that need to be corrected. For example the cover that comes with it is a joke, dog moves one time it’s off. It should be like a pillow case with a Sherpa top. The squeaky material makes my dog and the neighbors dog shy away from it. Personally there is nothing soft about the plastic. This may work for cats but I find it hard to believe that dogs like it at all. I will be taking it back for a full refund Almost $100.00 and a 1 1/2 hour drive very very disappointed. I don’t even know if you read these but I wanted to at least let others who may read be aware.Dorothy
My newly adopted dog needs hip surgery (we knew this when we adopted him), and I ordered this bed based on the reasonable price and good reviews. I was not expecting much, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the foam insert and the nice cozy topper. I love that the zipper goes fully halfway around the insert, so the cover is easy to remove and launder. I've washed it twice already, and it still looks like new. It fits perfectly in our travel crate, so it's great for the car – no more sliding around in the crate when we're on the move. For reference, my dog is 25 pounds, slender with long legs, and the medium bed gives him plenty of room to stretch out. My 30 pound dog also loves this bed. Highly recommend.ve-1233571 victor.b
