I was hesitant to order a bed online because you can't really tell the quality of it and I didn't want to pay a fortune for junk. Then a sale came along as well as an additional coupon and it was a deal that I couldn't really pass up. Fortunately, the risk paid off. This bed is fantastic. It really is as described. I could sleep on it, and it's huge. I noticed some people complaining about the noise when your dog moves, but honestly, I don't even notice it most of the time. I got the XLarge 54" x 36" for my Great Pyrenees and she loves it. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough for her, but it seems to work out just fine – even if she stretches out. She's 13, so she's a old girl with arthritis.Her old bed did not survive our move, so we got this one (which frankly, did not even come close to the quality of this one). We've had it a week and already she seems to be getting around better. She really hasn't left it since. She's on the lighter side for a pyr at only 80 lbs, but the bed does not collapse with her weight. I weigh twice that and it supports me if I lie on it as well. 🙂 If I had anything to complain about, it would be the shipping/packing. We've purchased several of these dog beds for the dogs in our extended family and our own dogs as well. They are well made and well priced. They have good, comfortable support and the dogs love them. They are durable and the cover is machine washable. I would recommend these dog beds and will continue to purchase them for our dogs!
In the photo, the bed looks thicker than the real thing. It’s nice and soft and thick enough if we put it on top of her old bed cushion. I haven’t tried to wash it yet, but I think it will be difficult to put the cover back onto the foam pad. What really matters most is that our old Basenji, who is 11 years old, loves it. This is my 2nd Majestic Pet bagel bed. I have 3 toy breeds and a oversized recliner so the 40" bagel bed has room to sit next to me. There is plenty of room for all 3 the sleep in the 40". It is super soft, cuddly and they get all snuggled in and sleep for the night. My 1st bed was the velour all over, and the new one is canvas with the sherpa bottom. I knew it was time for a new bed because they were choosing different beds that were softer. The old bed is more than 3 years old and doesn't stay fluffed up very long any more. When put the new bed next to me they got excited and jumped in. I can't say enough good things about the Majestic bagel beds. Most beds I have bought usually go flat with in 6 months to a year. I appreciate the padding on the underside of this bed (and I’m sure my little guy does as well), although it is never on anything harder than a plush carpet. Fabric is softer than anticipated, which is a plus! I would say that the only gripe I have at the moment is a minimal one: until my little guy “breaks it in,” it is fairly lopsided. I bought 2 of these beds for my chihuahuas, and they both seem happy! When shopping for a new dog bed, I wanted something with a bolster type edge to prevent the dogs from ending up on the floor, and also to be like a little pillow to rest their head. Secondly, I wanted something with a removable cover that can be thrown in a washing machine. This checks both. My main complaint, however, is that the memory foam didn't really 'plump up' much after unboxing. The memory foam comes rolled up very tightly, and the package insert said to let the foam rest a few days to allow it to reshape (I think it said 24-48 hours, but not sure). I waited 3 days.. and nothing! So I tried gently blowing a lightly warm hairdryer… nothing. I set the foam underneath a heating blanket for about an hour… nothing. My dogs don't weigh much, so the memory go is ok for them. But I feel like a larger, heavier dog would completely flatten such a thin, wimpy foam mattress.Amanda

I bought this medium sized bed for an adult male Golden Retriever, and it's a perfect fit. This was a replacement for a larger sized Beasley's Couch (no longer available). He wouldn't sleep in it with the removable cushion, so I took that out. The bolsters seem a bit firm, but they're zippered so you can remove some of the stuffing to customize the firmness–that's a nice touch. The orthopedic foam base is adequate, but I'll eventually replace it with 3-inch memory foam to make it super cushy. Assembling the bed was challenging for a senior citizen with bad shoulders, but I finally got it together. (It's a very snug fit.) I keep it covered with a fleece throw so I can wash that often without having to disassemble and reassemble the bed again. This bed seems very well made with nice features. I ordered a Medium, and I'm pretty sure I got a Large. It's bigger than the Medium size bed, and since it's for my kitten, I'm really hoping he grows into it! I have this exact same bed in a medium size that I purchased years ago, and the foam in that one is a LOT thicker than the foam in the one I received from Groupon. I'm not sure if that's a change in production/quality by Furhaven products, but I do wish the foam was thicker, especially for such a large bed. My kitten seems to like it, so I'm keeping it, even though it's HUGE for him.
Purchased a replacement cover for an existing bed and a new identical bed and neither cover fits this new bed right. Apparently the foam for the new bed is not sized correctly. The cover is too short to properly fit the bed and keeps it curled up on the ends. Also wish you would ship these in boxes rather than tightly rolled up making it hard to get them to straighten out.Gary S.
My dog loves the bed to lay on – but the cover can't stand up to any sort of "nesting". He's not a dog that digs in general, but with any new bed, he paws a little as he gets settled. There was a small hole in the cover within 2 weeks, which of course was immediately expanded to a huge tear (what dog can resist a hole?) and gouges of the foam. I didn't expect it to hold up to chewing, but I did expect it hold up to normal dog settling in behavior! Wish I had purchased something more robust.SL

Shiloh absolutely loves this bed. As soon as I unpacked it and placed it on the floor, he jumped right in and pushed the sides with his nose for about 10 minutes m, while scratching at the center, turned his body in three full circles and then laid down and dropped his head over the side and it has been his bed ever since. He keeps all of his factories toys under him, and sleeps right never to my bed. The best purchase I have made for him so far!! This dog bed is by far the worst bed I have ever purchased!! The very first thought that came to my mind was “ This manufacturer must think who cares it’s just an animal they will sleep anywhere on anything”! Notice to all animal parents.. If you have an arthritic or elderly fur baby I DO NOT recommend this bed!! I don’t recommend this bed period!!! The stuffing in the bed is hard brick like shredded foam that I had to manually break up by hand so it wasn’t hard lumps n bumps. It wasn’t stuffed with the material in the manufacturer’s discrimination!! So washing the inside fill liner is completely out of the question. The outer cover is soft but thin and so loose around the liner it bunches up and slips around. I am going to add the bolsters from my dogs old bed to see what I can do to make this atrocity better! A suggestion to the manufacturer…Make this a fill it yourself bed because that’s exactly what this ends up being!!!!Erica

I liked this bed but my dogs do not seem to even after a few months. Not sure why but they're two small dogs and prefer to share one big bed their last one was soft and fluffy this one is harder and maybe that's it. We have the jumbo plus at home, our lab has plenty of room for lounging around with her toys. Then we started traveling and she now has a jumbo for our Jeep/hotel rooms. She sleeps very well no matter where we are. I can vacuum the beds and wipe them down to keep them clean and fresh. The quality of the beds are great. We love this dog bed! I had been looking for a large dog bed for a while and saw this giant bed for our Bernese Mountain dog, who liles to stretch out when he lies down, but would hang over the sides of his old beds because they were never quite wide enough! The bed is orthopedic, which is great for our senior dog's joints. It's cool material, which keeps him cool because he doesn't feel the cold & gets too hot on fleecy lined beds. You can also remove the outer cover to wash it! Our dog loves this bed and he is quite fussy about what he sleeps on! But he loves rolling and stretching out on his giant bed! The bed is large enough for a small adult to curl up on and plenty of room for both of my dogs but they don't want to share the comfort. I've spent so much money on beds that they just shread but I believe that this bed will be ok because they love the comfort. I have German shepherds and the jumbo bed is great for them.tereasa
The bed arrived in a very small package, the foam insert was vacuum packed. I think the cover is a bit loose because of the foam being smushed- doesn't look as nice as the pictures. My dog likes it though. She has had some hip issues and isn't able to get up on my bed anymore, this seems to be a go replacement. She a very tall lab/greyhound/? and about 90lbs, the largest size fits her well.acpslw

I found this at a local retailer for an unbeatable price! My 23lb cocker spaniel was spoiled with my nice sofa and was worried he might not be interested when I brought it home. We bought 2 of these dog beds. When we got home we noticed only one of the beds actually had the foam mattress, the other was cut up foam pieces in the bottom of the bed. We returned the faulty one and the rest available were the same. We could not find the bes that actually had the one piece foam. Are the beds supposed to have the solid orthopedic foam or just pieces of what appears to be cut up foam? Beware of when you buy this that you get the correct one.Annette
