I ordered a Medium, and I'm pretty sure I got a Large. It's bigger than the Medium size bed, and since it's for my kitten, I'm really hoping he grows into it! I have this exact same bed in a medium size that I purchased years ago, and the foam in that one is a LOT thicker than the foam in the one I received from Groupon. I'm not sure if that's a change in production/quality by Furhaven products, but I do wish the foam was thicker, especially for such a large bed. My kitten seems to like it, so I'm keeping it, even though it's HUGE for him.
My two dogs, who are very particular about laying on blankets and pillows, both gravitated to this bed as soon as I put it out for them. They love the combination of the orthopedic bed with the soft and fuzzy plush covering on it and will stay there for hours, when they used to only curl up on the couch with a blanket with a human. Their immediate satisfaction with the bed was a very pleasant surprise and I cannot stress enough how picky my dogs are about where/what they lay on and how much they love this bed. I ordered this after my 60lb Golden girl refused to leave my sister’s Golden’s bed over the holidays. My sister told me where she got it and I ordered my girl one immediately! It is a nice thick bed with a very soft cover. I got the beige/cream color, which has a little bit more yellow tinge to it than I’d like, but it still matches our home decor & her hair color the best out of the options. I got the Jumbo size which gives her plenty of room to sprawl out when she wants. I love that it has a little height on the sides for when she wants her head elevated. This bed is soft and my dog seems to find it comfortable. It’s a good neutral color that blends nicely into my living room. The downside is that the cover cannot be removed for washing, but for the price, I guess I can vacuum the fur off and spot clean to make it last long enough. They advise this as a good size for large breed dogs, including Golden Retrievers (this is specifically listed on the packaging). My Golden is small for her breed – she was the runt of her litter – and this bed is just barely big enough for her (see pic). If you have a large Golden or other 60 lb breed, this “large size” bed may not accommodate them.CBTX
Got this bed a substitute in a pick up order. I allowed the substitute bc the reviews were good. I will be returning it now that I’ve seen it. The bumper edges are great and filled with a thick lining so they feel comfortable for a large dog. The actual bed part is very thin and my 60lb dog will basically be on the floor. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. Its not real thick about 2 inches but soft and she seems to like it better than the sheepskin rug she use to sleep on.She rotates from this to the thicker bed, but I think this one gets a little more use.All in all a good bed that is easy to throw in the washing machine, soft and good neutral color. You can wash the outside of the bed fan but the inside is a paper bag filled with chopped up foam that can't be washed. i dont about everyione but I'll bet there goes outside and gets stinky. why would you sell a bed without a serviceable liner in it. I am thinking about throwing the inside bag away and buying another bed from a dufferent company that i can put inside that can be washed. The problem is that dog loves it ir i would throw it away. i have resirted to putting a large garbage bag over the stinky part so she can still use it until I can do better. To much work. This probably isn’t the review you’d expect, but my daughter LOVES this bed. When she was a few months old, we went on a family vacation and in lieu of spending $180 for a DockATot, we purchased this instead. This bed has literally been her obsession since that trip. Any time she sees it (even when I bring it downstairs to wash), she starts panting like a dog and rushes over to try and lay on it. We used it past the vacation and put it into her crib at home. She’s 20 months old now, and we’re trying to transition her to a toddler bed, but she keeps tossing and turning all night because she loves this dang dog bed so much and her regular toddler mattress just isn’t good enough for her. I came here to figure out what the minky fabric is that covers this darn bed so I can buy a fitted sheet of the same/similar texture to try and appease her and figured I would leave a review while I was here. We bought an extra when she was in daycare because she was having a rough time during nap time. The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. I highly recommend the "Convoluted Orthopedic Foam" Mattress. As we live in California where the weather is warmer, the "Quilted" Cover material has been perfect all year round. This is actually our second bed that we bought. The first bed we bought for our an older dog who was starting to get arthritis and have back issues. We felt this bed greatly reduced his symptoms and made his last years much more comfortable. At a certain point we ordered a replacement cover for the first bed. It was still in such great condition when he passed that we could not get rid of it. Our new puppy found the bed and claimed it as her own. My 54-lb Labradoodle loves this bed, and we do too. She hasn’t been able to chew it up, and eventually gives up after trying. She uses it quite often, so we think it’s comfy to her. We actually bought two—one for her crate (it fit her large crate perfectly) and one for the living room. This faux velvet pet bed is PERFECT! The way it is sewn together is one of the best I've seen. I'm not sure what the cost is at the time of this posting, but I'm almost 100% sure it's worth it. It is soft and well padded for my old dog. It has been in the garage, in the laundry room, and is now it's beside the couch. It looks good anywhere! The bottom of the bed has a material that is sturdy. The hidden zippers on the inside of the bed made it tricky to figure out at first, but flipping it inside out reveled the zipper that I could unzip to get the sides, back, and front out. The bottom zipper allows you to easily remove the bottom pad. The cover washed well in the washing machine and didn't shrink or rip. I reassembled the whole thing in minutes and my dog hopped right back in it when I was finished. I think this is especially good for owners who have older dogs. Sometimes they leak and this is easy to clean. The inside pillows also have zippers so you can wash or refill or replace the padding over time.
Purchased for my lab puppy, he enjoyed bunching up his towels to sleep on so I thought he might like a bed with bumper edges. My puppy is 9 months and approx 75 lbs, he is a bit longer than this bed but he loooves to sleep on it curled up or with his head on the edge like a pillow. I did put a towel on it so it smells like him to help him want to sleep on it, after a few days he had it figured out. So far it still looks fairly clean, I bought the beige color, he has gotten on it wet and sandy from playing outdoors but I just shake it out like my floor rugs, easy. It has pebble grippers on the bottom for some slip resistance, I have it on a rug and it doesn't shift around at all, even if he's rolling in his dreams. We do recommend although if you have a larger or longer bodied/legged dog, you will want something bigger than this.Kaitlyn
I got this for two cats that normally love to sleep on anything BUT cat beds. But I figured I would give a larger one (this is really made for dogs) to see if they would see it more as a bed bed and try it. So far, 1 loves it. The other one seems to want to try it, but is jealous that the other cat claimed it first. So he stays away. Can't complain with a .500 average. And I can see why the one loves it. It really is well made, with a very soft feel. Large sides for smaller animals to duck into to hide, and I would say high enough for larger dogs to feel snug as well. There are zippers buried well under the corners, which I assume means the cover can come off for washing, but I have not checked that out yet. All in all, I am happy with this, and I hope that one day I will come out to both cats in it at the same time!hunterdust

My miniature dachshund would give this bed 5 stars. He seems to settle in immediately when I put him on it (it's a little high so for his 3 inch legs to climb on). I only wish they made these snuggle beds with less of a crease around the inner circle. He will occasionally get his legs stuck in the crease and is unable to pull himself out because his legs sink so far into it.. BUT, I have other Bessie and Barnie beds and appreciate the quality of them all. My dogs love these beds! I don't like the thick furry fabric covers because the furry stuff gets stuck in the zipper when taking it off or putting it back on after washing. The shorter fuzzy fabric works best. I would like to see a filler that could be washed as well but until that day – these are the best beds. This bed cannot withstand HEAT. The first time you wash it do not wash in hot water or dry it. It melted and walmart only gave me half the money back because I couldn't find my receipt. Definitely got ripped off. It was a pretty and comfortable bed so as long as you don't wash or dry it should be fine.Lace
we ordered this online, but would've not bought it if seen in store. the velvet fabric is cozy, but overall it's just too thin. I'm about 110 lb and it's not comfortable for me to sit on. our 140 lb Mastiff sinks right to the floor. It's basically like a twin comforter folded in half–which is better than nothing. The areas where there is tufting have no padding and the floor feels so hard in those spots. Our dog's nighttime bed is a 54" toddler bed with an egg crate dog bed on top to avoid strain on his joints. We bought this bed for when he's hanging out with the fam in the living room. We were going to return it for another toddler bed (that's about the same price and waterproof), but it might have been a previous customer return because he sniffed a certain spot then peed on it. It washes well in the machine but drying is air dry only. So we now use it with a folded comforter underneath and a waterproof camping blanket on top–but its still not thick enough for a giant dog imo. We will probably still order the toddler bed and put this on top.G

Although I did not keep the one I ordered, I still think it os a great product. My 8 year old shih tzu is arthritic and needed a better bed. This is a very firm bed. It would best fit a dog above 40 pounds or so. My girl only weighs 20 and it was just too firm fir her. It is well made, good zippers and removeable washable cover. Absolutely the most fantastic doggy bed for my little 6 pound Yorkie. Purchased the small which is actually larger than I thought, but is the perfect size allowing for him to lay stretched out if he likes vs. having to be curled up all the time like is the case with some other small bolster donut beds. The fur length & super soft, silky feel, the depth of the bed, the little “snuggle pockets” he can nuzzle under – all the way around, this bed checks all the boxes. Added bonus? The Fur Haven pet bed is better than I imagined. The cover is not the natty fleece that traps pet hair most similar beds are constructed of. The Fur Haven bed has a soft silky feel covering, is stuffed just soft enough and surprisingly lightweight, but NOT flimsy. I’m confident this will wash up nicely when the time comes. The price point is reasonable. I have owned dogs for decades – tried every pet bed possible (except the $200 plus beds). I mistakenly purchased 2. But actually glad I did. The bed is super soft and comfortable. Sometimes I find myself laying in it. My dog loves to rest and sleep in it. I now have two… one for the bedroom and one for the living room. I love that you can remove the cover and wash it as well. The customer service by FurHaven is amazing as well! The filling in one of the beds became flat, and another that I'd ordered had a hole in it, that they ended up sending me an entire new bed for free!

This dog bed is by far the worst bed I have ever purchased!! The very first thought that came to my mind was “ This manufacturer must think who cares it’s just an animal they will sleep anywhere on anything”! Notice to all animal parents.. If you have an arthritic or elderly fur baby I DO NOT recommend this bed!! I don’t recommend this bed period!!! The stuffing in the bed is hard brick like shredded foam that I had to manually break up by hand so it wasn’t hard lumps n bumps. It wasn’t stuffed with the material in the manufacturer’s discrimination!! So washing the inside fill liner is completely out of the question. The outer cover is soft but thin and so loose around the liner it bunches up and slips around. I am going to add the bolsters from my dogs old bed to see what I can do to make this atrocity better!
