This kennel looks great in your home. It’s much more decorative than a traditional crate. And for the price of why not? Well that’s easy. It’s not as functional as a traditional kennel. I read reviews before buying this, and a lot of those reviews stated that their dogs tore this kennel apart. But I thought my dog shouldn’t have a problem with that because she is crate trained. As a matter of fact she went into her old kennel willingly without anyone asking all of the time. It was her safe space I think. Never tried to break out. But the thing with this kennel is the material that it is made out of is weak and if you’re a pitbull, very soft. My dog chewed the bars out with ease and the fake wood was like bubblegum to her. I bought 2 of these to use as bedside tables. My dogs and cats like to lay in a crate. This would would not work if you had to crate your pet to prevent destructive behavior, it would be very easy to chew through. I also like that it is plastic as I have older animals who have accidents sometimes so it will be easy to clean! Looks very nice as well! Easy to assemble but the instructions could use some work for people who dont often assemble furniture. Also the holes for the lock were not drilled correctly on mine, they were about 1” too close together so I had to drill 2 of my own.Rachael

Got the kennel together put our 50 pound pup in it. Left to run some errands. Came back he was still locked up but had destroyed the door, bent the wires. I am using to created train a puppy, I was hoping it had a pan like the metal crates with sides to catch urine. Instead it is just a flat piece that fits inside, leaving gaps around the edges. I am THRILLED with my end table/ crate! First, it came within 3 or 4 days of ordering! We ordered it for our boy Rambo because he likes to be to himself once in awhile, especially if he doesn't feel well or is scared. (He's a 15 lb. Pomeranian mix.) Well, we were delighted to find that this was so big and that it was made VERY sturdy with quality wood. It took us about half hour to put together and our boy has taken a liking to it. We didn't put the door on-just left it open. Our boy is a rescue and panics if enclosed in a cage. So with the sides and the back having the spindles and the door not on it, he really enjoys going in it. (He now takes his bones in there to chew on.) So we are very pleased with it overall. Very grateful to Hayneedle for having such quality products with such great prices and deals. You are the Best!! I would recommend to anyone who wants a "little place" for their furry baby. And then to have such a nice looking piece of furniture is added pleasure.Sara
These solid wood pet crates are gorgeous and well built! High quality! Deep espresso with a sheen! My 20 year old daughter assembled both in an hour! Great price! My one Yorkie won't come out of this crate -he loves it! Ordered the small and my medium sized Yorkies have plenty of room even with cushions and blankets! Just be ready to make tiny predrilled holes bigger with drill bit little bigger than size of screws or you'll need the Hulk to get screws in! Just be careful not to drill through to other side! That's my only small complaint! Definitely recommend- you will not be disappointed! Gives room put together look! See pics. Came packed well with no damage and arrived quickly! I purchased this Newport Pet Crate End Table 2/19/2018. It arrived allot sooner than expected. Easy to put together and it looked just like the web pages pictures. However, the locking latch could've been more sturdy. The wooden bars across the windows were also not as solid as I would've preferred. The first time using it was the evening I received it. When I returned home after 4 hrs.he was at the door when I opened it. I bought this product as a means to contain my pet while I'm away. I use to let him run the house until I returned but in the last 4 weeks there have been too many events taken place while I'm gone. He's already chewed away at the bars til he's almost completely through. He's shihtzu mix.Charles
