The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. I highly recommend the "Convoluted Orthopedic Foam" Mattress. As we live in California where the weather is warmer, the "Quilted" Cover material has been perfect all year round. This is actually our second bed that we bought. The first bed we bought for our an older dog who was starting to get arthritis and have back issues. We felt this bed greatly reduced his symptoms and made his last years much more comfortable. At a certain point we ordered a replacement cover for the first bed. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. We have purchased quite a few items from PetSafe over the years and have always been happy with the quality. The idea of it is cool. Our pup likes to go the park but I always take the older car. The gray color of this is nice and it doesn't look too bad with my new car interior. It secures to the headrest and seats. The bolster is quite firm and supportive but it isn't my favorite PetSafe item by far. While inserting the bolster, my fingers kept poking through the fabric. I've dealt with the same type of fabric before with other beds and never had an issue. Once I got it in there, the zipper was stretched to the max. I was sure it was going to be the first thing to go. It says this bed is machine washable but I wouldn't. The actual fuzzy part of the bed has a cushion you insert too but even with it, there's no "bed" at all really. Very thin materials. It's not holding up well so far. If you have a smaller dog that doesn't move around much in the backseat it may work better. I just don't think it holds up good for big dogs like mine. My wife's car has leather seats and we noticed that the bed slips all over the place. No grippers on the bottom at all. I can't really recommend it.semiller3

We use to use a sheet on the back seat when taking the dogs for car rides, it would move around and not really protect the back seat. This car dog bed was so easy to install and our dogs love it. This faux velvet pet bed is PERFECT! The way it is sewn together is one of the best I've seen. I'm not sure what the cost is at the time of this posting, but I'm almost 100% sure it's worth it. It is soft and well padded for my old dog. It has been in the garage, in the laundry room, and is now it's beside the couch. It looks good anywhere! The bottom of the bed has a material that is sturdy. The hidden zippers on the inside of the bed made it tricky to figure out at first, but flipping it inside out reveled the zipper that I could unzip to get the sides, back, and front out. The bottom zipper allows you to easily remove the bottom pad. The cover washed well in the washing machine and didn't shrink or rip. I reassembled the whole thing in minutes and my dog hopped right back in it when I was finished. I think this is especially good for owners who have older dogs. Sometimes they leak and this is easy to clean. The inside pillows also have zippers so you can wash or refill or replace the padding over time.
Purchased for my lab puppy, he enjoyed bunching up his towels to sleep on so I thought he might like a bed with bumper edges. My puppy is 9 months and approx 75 lbs, he is a bit longer than this bed but he loooves to sleep on it curled up or with his head on the edge like a pillow. I did put a towel on it so it smells like him to help him want to sleep on it, after a few days he had it figured out. So far it still looks fairly clean, I bought the beige color, he has gotten on it wet and sandy from playing outdoors but I just shake it out like my floor rugs, easy. I got this for two cats that normally love to sleep on anything BUT cat beds. But I figured I would give a larger one (this is really made for dogs) to see if they would see it more as a bed bed and try it. So far, 1 loves it. My 54-lb Labradoodle loves this bed, and we do too. She hasn’t been able to chew it up, and eventually gives up after trying. She uses it quite often, so we think it’s comfy to her. We actually bought two—one for her crate (it fit her large crate perfectly) and one for the living room. My foster pit bull, Blue, is obsessed with his new bed. It arrived yesterday around 5pm and four hours later he was still curled up in it sound asleep. If I were ordering again, I would go down a size to the medium. Blue is about 45 lbs and 18" tall at his shoulder, and he has enough room to fully stand up inside the large bed's pocket if he wants to. The product is described as being just 8" tall in the large size, but I measured the opening from the top of the bed to the center of the hoop that holds the pocket open at 14-16". Our dogs love this bed! We got the XL because we have 2 GSPs, one of who is still a puppy. She loves to snuggle in the cave while her brother prefers to sleep on top. Either way there is plenty of room for two! The cover is very washable. The puppy has had almost daily accidents on the cover (sometimes more than once a day) and the cover has gone through the wash quite a few times over the last two weeks. It is holding up nicely. It does take a large capacity washer to wash the XL cover.A
I now have 4 of these beds, 4 round ones and 2 spare round covers. My dogs love them but the fabric quality of my recent purchase isn’t as good As my previous purchases. We've had it for a couple of months, and my Anatolian Shepherd (about 70 pounds) loves it. Some of the other reviews mention it not having a zipper, but mine has one to remove the center padding and a separate one to remove the outside ring's padding. It hasn't flattened down much at all, so it's still pretty comfy to lay on with her. It feels super high quality. I've washed it about once every two weeks, and there doesn't appear to be any wear from the washing machine and dryer like our other dog bed.Lydia

You can wash the outside of the bed fan but the inside is a paper bag filled with chopped up foam that can't be washed. i dont about everyione but I'll bet there goes outside and gets stinky. why would you sell a bed without a serviceable liner in it. I am thinking about throwing the inside bag away and buying another bed from a dufferent company that i can put inside that can be washed. The problem is that dog loves it ir i would throw it away. i have resirted to putting a large garbage bag over the stinky part so she can still use it until I can do better. To much work. This probably isn’t the review you’d expect, but my daughter LOVES this bed. When she was a few months old, we went on a family vacation and in lieu of spending $180 for a DockATot, we purchased this instead. This bed has literally been her obsession since that trip. Any time she sees it (even when I bring it downstairs to wash), she starts panting like a dog and rushes over to try and lay on it. We used it past the vacation and put it into her crib at home. She’s 20 months old now, and we’re trying to transition her to a toddler bed, but she keeps tossing and turning all night because she loves this dang dog bed so much and her regular toddler mattress just isn’t good enough for her. I came here to figure out what the minky fabric is that covers this darn bed so I can buy a fitted sheet of the same/similar texture to try and appease her and figured I would leave a review while I was here. We bought an extra when she was in daycare because she was having a rough time during nap time. This is my 2nd Majestic Pet bagel bed. I have 3 toy breeds and a oversized recliner so the 40" bagel bed has room to sit next to me. There is plenty of room for all 3 the sleep in the 40". It is super soft, cuddly and they get all snuggled in and sleep for the night. My 1st bed was the velour all over, and the new one is canvas with the sherpa bottom. I knew it was time for a new bed because they were choosing different beds that were softer. The old bed is more than 3 years old and doesn't stay fluffed up very long any more. When put the new bed next to me they got excited and jumped in. I can't say enough good things about the Majestic bagel beds. Most beds I have bought usually go flat with in 6 months to a year. Magestic stays full and cuddly for a couple of years. I am very happy and so are my babies. They will have sweet dreams in their new soft bed for awhile. Looks as described and so far is working out. I appreciate the padding on the underside of this bed (and I’m sure my little guy does as well), although it is never on anything harder than a plush carpet. Fabric is softer than anticipated, which is a plus! I would say that the only gripe I have at the moment is a minimal one: until my little guy “breaks it in,” it is fairly lopsided.
