We have purchased quite a few items from PetSafe over the years and have always been happy with the quality. The idea of it is cool. Our pup likes to go the park but I always take the older car. The gray color of this is nice and it doesn't look too bad with my new car interior. It secures to the headrest and seats. The bolster is quite firm and supportive but it isn't my favorite PetSafe item by far. While inserting the bolster, my fingers kept poking through the fabric. I've dealt with the same type of fabric before with other beds and never had an issue. Once I got it in there, the zipper was stretched to the max. I was sure it was going to be the first thing to go. It says this bed is machine washable but I wouldn't. The actual fuzzy part of the bed has a cushion you insert too but even with it, there's no "bed" at all really. Very thin materials. It's not holding up well so far. If you have a smaller dog that doesn't move around much in the backseat it may work better. I just don't think it holds up good for big dogs like mine. My wife's car has leather seats and we noticed that the bed slips all over the place. No grippers on the bottom at all. I can't really recommend it.semiller3

We use to use a sheet on the back seat when taking the dogs for car rides, it would move around and not really protect the back seat. This car dog bed was so easy to install and our dogs love it. I was waiting to try the liner for a couple of trips before leaving a review. It was short for my GMC Yukon. The cover did NOT protect my bumper. However, I solved this problem by adding a thick beach towel (thanks to another reviewer’s advice). After just two trips, the liner ripped at the quilted seam area. The wall doesnt hold up well at all. Since it droops, my GSDs place their head behind it, defying the purpose of protecting my paneling from dog hairs and scratches. I was advised by GW Little to purchase a containment strap made for the console car seat because the one that came with the small lookout booster seat was way too heavy. I did, for another $17. I wish it had been suggested when I originally ordered so that I wouldn't have had to pay for shipping. I haven't received it yet, so can't comment on how much lighter the clip is. I do think, however, that the containment strap that cam with the booster seat I ordered is also too short. I bought this two weeks ago for the back of my car. My 12 year old, 100 lb, rescue hurt herself in the ice a few months ago and we have twice a week visits for physical therapy. After purchasing 3 of your beds, i knew i had to get one for my Suburban. We lost 3 of our dogs this year due to age/illness, so we now only have one lab left. We bought this cargo bed for our senior girl who loves to go on trips with us! We wanted to provide more comfort while traveling and this bed has gone above and beyond what we could have dreamed! We have owned these for both our previous dogs. They kept them safe when we were forced to slam on the brakes for various reasons. It let them feel more like part of the ride being right beside us too and they enjoyed riding more than being in the back seat. I bought this item a couple weeks ago for my crested mix. He is my rescue who didn't know what the outside world was, so when it came to car rides he would refuse to get in and once he was in the vehicle the poor guy would shake all the time. One day I held him up on my chest and noticed he started to shake less. The next car ride I had taken his dog bed and a pillow, stacked them on the passenger seat, he did ok kinda but would consistently try to come over to me in the driver's seat. The next car ride I decided to put his bed in between the front seats on the center consol. He became very curious of what was going on around him and bothered me less. Yet I felt he wasn't secure enough and constantly taking the dog bed in the house and out to the car was a hassle. That's when I look into the dog seats for the consol and came across this one. This does a great job as a booster seat, not to be confused with a safety seat. It is quite high and with only a base point tie down, could easily flip forward on hard braking. I installed mine in the backseat with no problems. I have a small dog (22 lbs) that is about the size of a medium Yorkie. This carrier will not fit a regular medium/large dog well. Really nice pet bed, aaaaalmost perfect but not quite. The good: the side bolsters are nicely structured with a squared off shape (as opposed to a tube on some cheaper construction), and they're well stuffed. The bottom of the bed zips open nice and wide for the memory foam insert to go in, and the zipper operates smoothly as well so there's no fighting to get the foam stuffed in. The bottom of the whole bed is a non-slip material and it actually really does stop the bed from slipping around on my hardwood floor. What keeps it from being perfect: I wish the bolster stuffing was removable instead of permanently stitched in for easier washing and drying. But this is me being picky.Ald1234
Kirby is 13 and developing arthritis. He needed a sturdy, couch-like bed. I ordered a few on Amazon but returned them all because they were so cheap! I’m so glad I found this one; it’s 100% worth the cost. Of course, I had to lay on it to test it out and WOW! I think this is comfier than our couches. The removable foam pad is super thick. It’s like a TempurPedic material, though, so washing will deteriorate it quickly. I decided to leave the whole foam pad in the plastic bag it came rolled up in. I zippered it in the bed just like that, hoping I’ll keep drool, water, etc from soaking into the foam. Yeah, it sounds kinda like a diaper when Kirby moves around but I don’t mind. The bed itself is supposedly washable; however, the bolsters don’t come off so we’ll see how that goes when the time comes. I keep the whole bed wrapped in a sheet for extra protection. Pictures attached. As you can see, Kirby absolutely loves it and has plenty of room to sprawl out in any position. Thank you, BB&B for providing a QUALITY bed for my old man. If properly taken care of, I think this bed will last years!
This is an excellent bed for my dogs, its large enough for each of them with room to spare(golden retriever, german shepherd and black lab) and is soft and comfortable! Of course after opening I had to lay on it to try it out and man, I wish my bed was as nice as this! Quality seems exceptional so I expect it to last for years. Dont know how itll do with dirt and stains but the cover comes off easily to wash so I'm not too worried. Would recommend, your pets will love it! I have 4 pets and they refuse to use this. I have even put catnip on it so that maybe my cat would use it and she is refusing to use it as well. They are all scared of it, it is lumpy and slides all over the floor so they can't even get into it and then it scares them when it moves. Looks amazing abd super comfy. My dog lived it in store so I purchased. I literally just washed it after getting it today because my dog is sensitive. There are thousands of glue dots are everywhere. I ought this bed about 3 to 4 weeks ago. I have an 80lbs boxer. She loved the bed in the store, kept laying on it. So I bought it. 1st couple weeks great, but I then wanted to wash it. You can machine wash but air dry. I waited until we had some nice weather so the bed would dry, and now the little grippy bits on the bottom of the bed are falling off!! They stick to everything. Not worth the 100 price tag.

These do not have very much padding. My 4 rescue pups do not care for them. I have to flip them over or they won't lay on them. They have gotten stuck in the sleeping bag type pocket and it scared them to death. They don't clean up as well as they should either. Now I do take special needs pups so there can be accidents. I bought 4 of these and I am down to 1 because they do not clean up well. I do not recommend these, especially for older pups.Kelk9rscr
