I would not recommend this toy for a dog that is a vigorous chewer. I purchased it for two Smooth Fox Terriers as a tug toy and they played tug for a short time until our female began to chew off the tail. I've seen the extra small version and wasn't impressed enough to purchase it because as the other reviewer says it doesn't look much like the picture and it is very tiny but we have two of the small frogs and they (as well as the small Kong ducks) are my baby's favorites. My little girl is 15 months old, weighs 10 pounds, and loves her toys but she will dig through her toy box until she finds frog or duck. Let’s just say he loves his balls! Anything round he will chase, doesn’t matter how big or small. But the best ones are the ones that can fit in his mouth, and these are perfect for him. None of the rubber balls ever break apart or are ripped by him despite him playing with it everyday. I’d say he is not a heavy/strong chewer, more on the light/weak side, which makes them last a long time. Why a 4 Star if you say he loves it so much?? That is because the squeakers in them are weak or perhaps I just got a defective one. Apparently, All the squeaks in the balls were working. Then once I gave to him one of the balls, 5min later the squeaker broke inside. Our labradoodle LOVED the toy, but it quickly became apparent that this could only be used with active play, and he couldn't be left to "snuggle" with it, as it would not hold up to his chewing. Every kong I bought has incredible longevity. this toy he was the most excited about, he loves squeaky soft toys but literally runs through them in 2 minutes. and since it was made from kong, i had total confidence in the durability. boy was i wrong, i gave it to him 10 minutes ago and there’s already a hole in the top. In the future i hope the company reformulates the nylon for the most durable chewers! Great thought, just not perfected yet.hpett2
We have a 9 year old staffy X fox terrier who loves to chew and also throw toys around. We got this because we read how durable it was. However after a few months she'd managed to put a hole in it and the string stuff that comes off it is kind of dangerous if ingested… She swallowed a huge wad of string and we had to call the vet in fear of a blockage in her bowel… Just be warned and be careful and monitor your pet if they have a strong chew.Kara

If your dog is like my dog, there is that ONE toy that they neglect 35 other toys for and choose every time. This is THAT TOY. My Riley is a 70-ish-lb lab and is a pretty medium chewer. Not soft by any means, but she’s pretty cool about damage control when she wants a toy to last. Is our Wubba a little worn and torn? Yes. Is it still holding up over a year later? Yes. Is it still her absolute favorite toy out of all the other toys? You know it. My review is for the XLarge KONG Wubba – NOT the small. MY dogs are nuts about KONG Wubba's. A couple of generations of Scotties have now had these toys – I've tried XL/L/M – prefer the XL. Scottish Terriers have extremely powerful jaws and set upon these toys with just one thing in mind – KILL IT!!! They relish in shaking the toy and are further encouraged in their endeavours as the "tails" of the toy make a flappity-flap sound. I do not allow the dogs to play with their Wubba's for long – as they truly do kill them. So I rescue the Wubba's and place them in a toy box that is hidden in a closet. Each night after we Pet Parents have had dinner, I remove the toy box and the "boys" may select a toy of choice, Well, if there are Wubba's in that box – that is the #1 in choice. When the dogs have finally "killed" the toys; they still play even though the squeaker has died – usually the first thing that goes. The fabric is durable and there are no parts that can be ingested by a pet. The best part is when I pony up for a new pair of Wubba's and laugh madly as the "boys" set upon them yet again. Each one wants the others Wubba, and they are almost delirious with joy. If you need a good laugh, invest in a Wubba and watch your pet darn knock itself out – it is worth the $$'s – trust me. WARNING: Just know that there are knock-offs on these toys. With pseudo Wubba's, the fabric rips and the exposed interior parts – either hard plastic or metal – will make your dogs mouths bleed. Loved this toy and so did our 5 month boxer corso pup but we didn\'t know she was going to be a strong chewer until we got this toy. Within mj sites she gnawed the fins and lips off this toy. We were shocked and she hadn\'t chewed any other of her toys like this. She still loved the toy but we had to take it away when not supervised.
