I research things to death, and finding baby gates for our stairway was no exception. This was a good purchase. It is relatively sturdy, lightweight, and the design is functional. There are two hex set screws at the top and bottom of the gate that allow adjustment of the gate width. The bracket that holds these set screws was bent open, so instead of a |_| shape it was a \_/ shape. This means the screw almost went through the entire bracket metal (2-3mm) and nearly ran out of threads before it hit the gate. If I had an appropriate clamp I could probably take it apart and bend it back into the proper shape, but then that would introduce fatigue and possibly compromise the weld to the gate. The threads for the set screw were also poorly cut, and required excessive force to use. No, I did not cross-thread the set screw. The latch mechanism had high friction, and concerned me about the wear, as noted in other reviews, so I lubricated the contact points with a small amount of PFTE silicone grease (food safe) and now it shuts and opens much more easily.SHCB

Love it, so easy to use. You can set it to swing one or both ways. Easy to install, drilled into our door way, feels very secure and sturdy. Easy to open with one hand, one finger even. Nothing to step over when passing through. You can swing it behind you and hear it close lock it’s self but it doesn’t just swing closed on its own if you leave it in the open position, you have to give it a push. I care for an elderly gentleman who is incontinent. I bought the first of these rugs for him – to save the floor. I like the rug so much, i bought more for my entry way and bathroom. The backing keeps him from slipping in the bathroom. The rugs are super absorbent so reduce the amount of mud my dog brings in (because I live in a very rainy place). They are more expensive than regular rugs but I feel they are well worth the cost.

This took my husband and I about a couple of evenings to install. You bury the lead wire around the perimeter you don't want your fur baby to cross and the collar is light and works nicely! I have a jack Russel/Chihuahua that likes to snoop and sneak out of the yard and this little device has solved that problem. I only needed to use the tone mode and that worked fabulously. I installed this fence for my dog on a town lot that was around .25 acres. I must say you should definitely read the instructions fully before just starting this installation as you have to do some prep work, and this is not simply a plug and play fence if you want to trench it in. I think if there was an existing fence or something you could probably get away with just hanging the boundary wires directly to it but chances are that is not the case always. In my case I used a spade to kinda make the trench on my laid-out boundary line. I did this after a heavy rain as that made the task by hand much easier than the ground being rock hard like it is when it is dry. I stepped on the ground with my body weight after the installing the wire to kind of tamp the ground back in place and let mother nature do the rest over time to get the ground to settle. I did have to cross my driveway and really just shoved the wire in the expansion joint and shoved it down as far as I could. I just have to be conscience that I do not pierce the wiring when doing my edging. For my lot it took quite a bit of the 500 feet of included wire even though I consider it to be a pretty small lot. My dog has used wireless electric collars before so the training was not so difficult, but I did put out the included flags on the boundary line during training to make sure the boundary training went smoothly. The collar fit my dog nicely. As far as hooking up the boundary lines to the transmitter it was easy. I installed the plug-in wall unit in my garage and actually drilled a hole through a brick wall to get the boundary wire outside. I used caulk to seal off the hole with the wire to protect the weather and critters getting into my garage through the access hole. As I mentioned that since I have used wireless systems with my dog before the training was minimal and the system is working nicely.Country Man

Once I had to wash this massive, VERY furry white blanket, it became apparent it will be too much work to maintain. Firstly, it sheds HORRIBLY. My dogs shed badly enough. Needing to wash this with 7 deep water soaks, it still never totally got the smell out. It’s become apparent this blanket is basically a sponge that is impossible to fully clean due to its size and faux fur loft. Bonus: it clogs the washing machine and needs to be air dried. Good luck. Easy to assume it’s meant to help with occasional accidents since it’s advertised as “waterproof” — while it will protect your bed, it cannot save itself. This would be a fine blanket for normal, not particularly large, smelly, or old and incontinent dogs. Mine are none of that, haha! Can’t say enough good things about how much I love everything I’ve gotten so far from this company. I’ve gotten two waterproof throw blankets in original size and both are excellent quality and wash very well. I wash them like normal and hang dry them. They dry very quickly and then when fully dry. I throw them in dryer for less then ten minutes to fluff it back up. Then it looks exactly like day I bought them. Hang drying them can make them last longer but when you hang dry most things. It can look less fluffy. Like a stuffed animal that looks old but I literally put it in dryer for less then ten minutes after it’s hung dried and it brings back the fluffy brand new look. When I saw this advertisement I was instantly drawn to its chic luxurious look. And I will say when it arrived it completely met my expectations. Looked and felt great. We use it to protect our new couch and it does just that. However, when it comes to washing that’s where I have my issue. It collects a lot of fur and dirt and tend to hold onto smells in its fiber which calls for frequent washing, which is fine. Unfortunately, it takes FORVER to hang dry and leave puddles of water on the floor as it hold a lot of liquid and it’s very heavy. Additionally, the fur gets very matted and doesn’t keep its luxurious look that originally drew me to it. I did find that brushing it out helps. This mat is a total game changer. We have 2 dogs, a home daycare with 5 kids in and out in the mud, snow and slush. This mat absorbs 95% of the mess. I was wiping up muddy foot prints what felt like 100 times a day. My 13 year old GSD service dog died three years ago. I have been on waiting lists for three years now with my name coming up for the June 18-30 camp with the agency. I will be paired then. Since being informed in October 2016 that I would be in this class, I have been stocking everything I will need for a "toddler" partner after so many years with a mature dog then with no dog. One thing I realized not having a dog for 3 years was how much less mess gets tracked into the house without those many furry footed trips out each day. I also realized that a long-haired Golden Retriever is going to bring tracking in, grooming, and other issues to a whole new level over my minimum care short-haired German Shepherd. I have now purchased three of the larger and one of the medium size of these rugs. They are very soft to the touch- my bassets like to lie on them also. They aren't like some of the micro-fiber products out there that 'stick' to your skin. These feel very nice and soft. I have one outside my back door where the dogs come in and out most often. A lot of grass, mud and dirt gets 'trapped' in the rug. I just shake it out. I have had the first one about 2 months and have washed it once. It came out nearly dry out of my front loader. I let it air dry. It does say you can put it in the dryer- but a friend told me it 'shed' a ton in the dryer. It looks just as good as when I first got it- no pulled strands even though my hounds love to scritch and scratch it into a pile. Basset hounds have huge thick nails! It is great for wiping my own shoes when I come in also. I have bought this as a gift for my mom and also for a friend and they are both happy with it. It stays in place very well ( unless the hounds fluff it around.). I have the red ones and they don't show the dirt much at all. I have a smaller one inside my front door and it does catch a lot of the fur when folks or hounds walk across it. The only downfall I can think of, is that the mat is too thick for some doors to clear it- so there it has to go on the side that the door doesn't have to go across it to open and close. If it is a wet or muddy day I just make sure the hounds have to wait a minute before I let them in, and by then they have walked on the rug enough to clean off their paws and even bellies if they laid down while waiting. I am extremely disappointed in this product. We left our puppy in the kitchen for around 15 minutes and when we came to check on her, the bed was in a million pieces. It is not the least bit durable. You might tear it by looking at it. I spent $20 each on these and that is $40 I will never see again. Additionally, I think the stuffing in the bed is part of the reason that even my older dog started tearing into the bed to get at the green stuffing that is made from recycled plastic bottles. Over the last 2 years, I have completely purchased all new furniture from the Slumberland in Maple Grove Minnesota. The salesman knew that I had 3 upcoming surgeries and I also had fractured bones in my right hand. When my delivery came, the driver told me that he wasn't allowed to carry these 2 boxes into my home. Each box was 33 pounds. I had to lift them into my home and up 7 steps to the upper level of my home. I was very lucky that my grandson came and put them together for me. The next day I went back to this same Slumberland with my daughter. The salesperson, Nancy, came over and asked me how I liked the pet beds. When I told her how the boxes were left outside and no one would carry them upstairs, she replied, that's what you get with free delivery. I am still upset with her comment. NO one gave me an option to pay to have boxes brought into my home and put the beds together for me.NANCY

I bought this for my 11 lb (but tall) chihuahua-Jack Russell mix for an intl flight. I was attracted to the fold down side window, which would allow her head to poke out while under the plane seat. I also loved the organization panel that would allow me to forgo carrying another personal item onboard. However, I was disappointed to find that the carrier has no rigid structure and so collapsed on top of my dog, which frightened her. Similarly bummed that the trolley sleeve that was supposed to secure the carrier over my luggage handle was also flimsy. The whole thing seemed designed/constructed by someone who was unfamiliar with dogs. Definitely not Swissgear/Victorinox quality, which I otherwise rely on. Returned.A.F.M.
