And since i've started using this the scent of urine has been obnoxious and potent and i clean it daily with pet lysol spray and hot water. The turf itself is okay quality, easy to clean and drains correctly. However, the middle draining tray is not designed at all to work at all. The urine just collects on top of the drain tray because the holes and bumps aren't in a functional area and it barely drains to the lower tray. It is made from a texture that soaks up the urine instead of allowing it to flow off and threw, therefore it collects oder, collects urine that won't wash/scrub off, it can't be cleaned properly and all that waste causes the material to break down. When I say break down, I mean in ever sense. It starts to break off in pieces. Every time I clean the product, more peices fall off and it gets smaller and smaller. Basically, this product does not work. I learned that I should stick with what works and not take chances of cheaper off brand products. Even though the size of my other potty unit is less portable, it actually works! This kennel looks great in your home. It’s much more decorative than a traditional crate. And for the price of why not? Well that’s easy. It’s not as functional as a traditional kennel. I read reviews before buying this, and a lot of those reviews stated that their dogs tore this kennel apart. But I thought my dog shouldn’t have a problem with that because she is crate trained. As a matter of fact she went into her old kennel willingly without anyone asking all of the time. It was her safe space I think. Never tried to break out. The crate had obviously been used and returned. The metal was rusted in places and the plastic bottom tray was dirty. When I decided to return it, It was a challenge to get it back in the box. When I took it back to the store, I asked about a discount and received 15% off (the tax). I had previously bought one that was marked down by 50% because the box was damaged. I've owned dogs for the last 40 years. I've used MidWest wire crates for my last 4 dogs. This iCrate didn't disappoint. It's sturdy and and easy to put up and take down. I use them when I travel with my dogs too. My dogs only use their crates for sleeping in at night or napping in during the day. During the day, their crate doors are left open. I close the dogs in at night. I don't have an issue with my dogs trying to escape from their crates, so I can't speak to whether or not this would be sturdy enough for a dog that's determined to get out of their crate. These crates are more than sturdy enough for my miniature Schnauzer, Havanese, and Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. All three of my dogs love their MidWest iCrates, as did my previous dog! They go in them voluntarily and when told to "crate up". My only concern with the current crate I ordered is that that one of the latches isn't lined up quite right so it's a bit tight when closing the crate door. We bought this in April 2022 for our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix puppy. He was weeks old when we rescued him. He was a Parvo pup and barely survived, so rest and his own quiet space was highly recommended for recovery. We first used the divider which was great. However, as he grew, so did his strength. This is perfect for a dog that is pug sized or smaller or slightly bigger. The picture isn't quite right. It is a soft baby pale pink and so is the pan. The blue one is a pale light blue color too. I like the pan because it is a smooth plastic and not a rough textured one which is harder to clean if something were to be ground into it. Solid thick gauge wiring too. A++++++CP

Not quite what I expected based on the price. . . I was expecting more of a Trex like material based the price and description however, it is just a heaver plastic with a wood like graining to it. Overall pretty nice and I do like the metal rails. These products are high quality very functional. I was amazed how easy it is to set up the crate, open the box, take it out and pull it up. The quality is unbeatable and I have spent hours researching dog crates. It will last many years. You know the old saying " you get what you pay for", well in this case it is true! Love the lavender color with the crate, the design and quality. I bought the treat spreads and the one I’ve tried, my dog loves it. He is conditioned now to hear when I open the freezer drawer. The only downside to giving this to him, is that it only lasts a couple of minutes (even when frozen), and it’s not quite long enough to calm him down in his crate. He barks at me when he’s done and begs for more. Part of it may be that he’s thirsty when he finishes it. Or maybe he’s just not that well behaved yet, I don’t know.Amy O.
I have put different spreads in yogurt I have made popsicles and the product holds up. I still have a young puppy so I don’t know how this will hold up with a strong chewer. It does promote licking because that’s how your dog can reach his snack and it does calm them and it’s great that it goes in the crate but eventually when the spread or popsicle or whatever it is getting low a dog will chew because dogs are chewers. It’s not really that big of a deal you just have to supervise your pup and remove it. The really big issue with it is cleaning. I literally have to run boiling hot water over it and use a teeny little wire brush to get all the food off and then I run it through the dishwasher. That’s why it gets four stars.Angela K.

I bought this item knowing that it was not going to be as sturdy as some of the other options. The price reflects the quality of the material and that must be considered for the review. I do not have an issue with my dog chewing on the crate, trying to escape, or anything of that manner, so to spend double this price for a higher quality one couldn't be justified in my mind. I simply needed a larger crate for him to sleep in at night so he doesn't jump on me while I am in bed. I bought this knowing that it would only be used for 7-8 months (while I am pregnant) and that it would be rarely used after that time frame. The order came in a reason time frame. It was simple to put together. I do suggest using a blanket or something on the bottom to avoid excess noise due to claws. It serves it's purpose and was easy on my wallet. It does have a divider for multiple dogs, but we do not need that. Both doors (front and side) work correctly. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a standard, budget friendly cage. We bought the 36 inch long one and it works well for our black lab. He has enough room to stand up, walk in a circle to re-position himself, and can stretch his legs out while laying sideways.JackieR
The metal is well constructed and the two doors are really convenient. The plastic carrying handle is frail and I don't think would last long under a heavy load. The plastic tray seems a little too thin but adequate. Supplied are rubber feet in the form of rubber tubing cut to about 1.5 inches long and split lenghtwise and are simply placed at the corners over the wire on the bottom of the cage. As I was assembling them on my carpet, they kept sliding off so they would not stay long under real conditions. I simply wrapped them in electrical tape and they now stay on.Mike
I received the kennel and took it out to place it in my car. Much to my dismay after going through all that trouble, I noticed this had to have been a return which was not inspected. The bottom front, outer leg had ben bent significantly with a pliers or such, you could see the teeth marks and the vinyl coating was off. Needless to say, the other side was pulled out of alignment and the floor tray was broken. Not a happy camper! Returned it to Walmart and to my dismay once again, they did not carry this particular cage in the store!! The ones they carried in store were twice the price!! I had to reorder and now am awaiting to see what the next one will present.Unhappy

We have a chubby chihuahua that is petrified of the wind and storms we have here during the monsoon season… I'ved tried a calming coat and letting her sleep with us but she shakes so badly, no one could get any sleep! I had a feeling this little pink crate might do the trick! At first, she was hesitant to even get in it, but I left her little bed in it and after only 2 days she was laying in there and feeling very secure! We had lots of wind and dust storms the last two nights and son of a gun, there was Baby, tucked in her crate, not bothered by the storm. My 3 year old grandson was over today playing with his toys in it and it's pretty sturdy too! Setting it up took only two minutes right out of the box with no loose parts to worry about. All one piece and it folds flat for transporting and/or storage. All in all, it worked wonders for a problem we've had for 2 years now! Can't believe I didn't think of it before!! Thx!DEEAZ
Wow, a crate that is pretty. I don't know if that matters to the pets, but I sure like looking at a blue crate. A baby blue to be exact. This crate is small. The one piece package is easy to open, setup and breakdown for storing and transporting. It weighs 11 lbs. It measures 24 1/2" long x 18" wide and just under 21" high. When closed up the 21" high becomes approximately 3 1/2 inches and latches closed. It doesn't have a carry handle which is disappointing. No divider is included, but really not necessary for a small one door crate. The tray is solid with no imprint as others that I have and that's a plus. The even surface is much easier to clean. The sliding latch is easy and stays in place. I noticed that the paint makes it a tiny bit "thicker" and requires just a little more effort to setup and breakdown than my others. A few spots of paint have chipped off due to this. And because it doesn't have any sharp edges even under these chips; it's nothing of concern, just an observation. Very smooth bars and connections. The crate has a single door which is fine for my pet room, but if you need to move it around or transport in small spaces, you might want one with a double door. I have set this up in my pet rescue room along with my larger crates. I really like this size and plan to put several more of these small crates in the pet room. I see there are pink ones also. And I want one for my own cats because it seems to be a fantastic method for timeouts! Half a star off for not having a carry handle. Purely my hang up, since it's lightweight I can just as easily pick it up by sticking fingers through bars on top, but not too easy when a pet is inside. That being said I still highly recommend this strong, smooth and well made adorable crate!Jford35
This was probably the easiest cage I've ever had to put together. It literally folds in on itself and I didn't even have to attach the door. Once I figured out which side had to go up first, it was a breeze. The pink color makes it really cute. Not just a wire dog cage. It is just a cage however. It doesn't have a carrying handle on top, and I'm not sure if it would hold together really well with a dog or two in it and carrying it around. But it is perfect for bed time or when you are training a new puppy or when you are gone. I have 2 yorkie girls and they both fit in it fine and had plenty of room. And the ease of folding it up flat to travel makes it perfect for a portable cage.krmills

Some dogs just don't quite fit into the size charts in the way other dogs do. Our dog Angel, a mountain cur, is one of those dogs. Weight wise, Angel is comfortably in the medium category but she's tall and lanky so she always had to hunch over in her medium crate. This larger crate is a perfect height for the needed room. We bought this product mostly because of the vertical lift feature of the door hinge and the two-door access options which is great for all sorts of configurations (against different walls, corners etc). We like the size and customizable interior of the XL crate for our growing puppy (husky/shepard mix). This is definitely an at home crate vs. care crate. The only issue we have is that compared to our first crate (same company, large single door, 2 locks) is that this crate is very rattly. We crate our dog during sleeping hours and every time he kicks in his sleep or adjusts, it makes a clangy metallic sound that wasn't expected. There are so many awful crates/kennels out there! From the craptastically-made ones that double as end tables to the ugly, wiry kind… This Richell kennel is most excellent. The 4 wheels make it easy to move from room to room (and you can lock the wheels, too), assembly is easy, and the top opening is the best feature of all that I never thought about needing. This is a very solid, thoughtfully-designed, carefully manufactured crate for small and medium dogs–though I can't speak to how it would hold up to an obsessive chewer. Also great is that if you change your mind, just return it to your local Petco 🙂MCSZ
Beautiful and a roomy size for small or medium sized dogs. I've only had it for a while, but so far, very sturdy too. The tabs inside are great for pressing the edges of potty pads to keep them from scrunching up. The wheels are convenient, but unfortunately you can't lock all 4 and it slides on hard surfaces. The open doors are great also. I wish it had a slide out tray like the large black wire cages. It is hard to get yourself down and inside to wipe the floor of the kennel clean. Over all, it is attractive and comfortable for puppies and small dogs.selket
This crate is great! I have a recent rescue that is not fully housebroken. I needed a crate that I could keep in my living area that looked good and didn't take up a lot of space to use when I leave the house for more than an hour! He loves it. The wheels are great too as I can move it to another spot if I need to. Top access is great too because sometimes he doesn't want to come out! Please be aware that this product will take weeks to get. Bass Pro advised an arrival date, and that date came and went. I contact them, and they advised if you scroll down it states that it is a drop ship item. So it was in the fine print, but should be shown during checkout/shipping. Bass pro advised that I would just have to wait, and nothing I could do to track it. The customer service lady was very nice, and stated this problem happens and nothing is done about it. I then contacted Owens direct, and they were able to locate it via the Bass Pro order number. Just a headache I wish I was aware of, and hope you are now too.BeAware

We bought this cage so we could bring the dogs in the garage on the coldest winter nights without them getting into stuff they shouldn’t. It works great! We are very happy with this item. It folds up easier than other kennels we have used in the past. It’s convenient we can fold it up and stick it next to the fridge when not in use. I just received this Kennel today. I got the medium kennel. Very easy setup, very nice size a lot of room for my puppy to grow. The only concern I have was that it’s cheaply made very flimsy. My dog will only get 10 pounds so it’s ok for him. But any bigger I would not purchase this not made well enough.Chone
I bought this Kennel initially because it was titled as "Heavy Duty" and an Alaskan Malamute is used as the representative of what this kennel should hold up against. I figured for the price I would give it a shot, we could use a spare kennel anyway since we are fostering a husky, kennel space was limited. When the kennel was delivered and we opened the box. I thought that the wires were a bit thin? Yet, we set it up for use anyway. We decided to leave that afternoon and we put our older Female Alaskan Malamute in the new "Heavy Duty" kennel. We were gone for 2 hours. When we returned, our Female had been able to bend and brake off wires. We had only owned this kennel for a few hours and it was already busted. Needless to say we were frustrated with the false advertising of this kennel. We gave this product 3 stars because we technically can still us it for our Male Alaskan Malamute.
