Bought this yesterday for my 6 year old maltipoo because he has back pain from time to time due to ivdd. Vet wasn’t in and the hospital was booked. Emergency room costs a fortune. My Lurcher Heidi had to have a mammary tumour removed. She was terrified wearing an Elizabethan collar. So I got her a Buster collar but being long nosed Sighthound and with a flexable neck she could reach her stitches. The "Suitical" vest I got her from D forDog was absoulutley amazing. Google brought me to the natural dog company because my dogs paws were the stuff off nightmares. Paw pads that look like hair which I learned was hyperkeratosis. Supposedly there is no cure for this. But I thought at the very least this would give him some relief as he must have been in some pain. Well he looks so much better already. The paws got soft enough that I was able to "trim" the filaments off sightly. Yes it was as gross as it sounds lol. He is not fully cured yet but his paws are so much closer to normal already. I thought this was way too good to be true. My dog- Victoria, a catahoula- has severe allergies and has to be on a special diet, take medications, etc. even then, she has still had really bad allergies and chews her paws and legs. While she absolutely hates this stuff- I don’t know if it is the smell (it smells good, though), but on day 2 I saw a significant change in the redness and itchiness. My dog doesn't lick it off or anything, but the first 2 times, it was hard to keep him still but now he lays there sleeping while I put it on him before bed. He lays still when I put it on in the morning also. I recommend getting the 4 Oz tin cuz I got the 2 Oz stick and after 1 week it's half gone…so if the pads are very rough, you my use a bit more than usual or recommended. I tried the pawtection and it really helped his paws on the cold pavements but we got to about 3.5 miles in on our run and then he started running on the snow, so it doesn't stay on longer than 4 miles, which is ok cuz u don't wanna be out too long really cold or hot weather anyways.Lindsey H.

My big guy isn't exactly what you might call graceful. He's a dork. A giant clumsy dork. So little aches and pains are just a part of our life together. I'm taking ibuprofen because he's nearly pulled my shoulder out of socket after trying to run and hide from the wind and he's taking his doggy aspirin because he tripped over his own feet while running and now yelps every step he takes. These really do help. They're easy to give wrapped in a little bread or dipped in peanut butter. I combined this with Charlotte’s Web Hip and Joint hemp for my dog with osteoarthritis. She could barely walk for three days. After two hours of taking this she is running and playing around even in the cold weather. My senior Sheltie has been on a daily regime of the Moderate Care Hip Flex. I praise this product, because not only has this supplement eased the aches and pains of an aging dog, but my dog also really loves the taste. I don't worry about having to dress her meals up, which is a delight. She will eat her supplement with no fuss! Her brewer's yeast always needs fish oil on top, but not her Hip Flex. The Adaptil helps with my dogs separation anxiety some, he has an extreme case of it. So anything that will help is worth trying. I believe in less extreme cases it would work even better, that is only my own option. I cannot 100% say that Comfort Zone does not work, but for my dog's anxiety needs, it does not appear to work. My dog is clever, the Thundershirt stopped being even mildly useful because she recognized that something nerve-wracking was about to happen when I put it on her and would start getting worked up. Trying to work around this I sprayed her blanket and area under a nightstand she likes to rest under immediately upon receiving the product and would respray a few spritzes every so often, regardless of lack of incoming storms or fireworks. A mild rain fell one night during sleeping hours and she did seem mostly calm. However a few nights later a storm with thunder and heavy rain came in and she started her pacing and panting. The Comfort Zone may help moderately, and perhaps other dogs' anxieties can truly be helped, but for me, it likely was not worth the $$.

I've bought these a few times for my little doggie! He is a 7-year old Chi mix that weighs about 24 pounds. We give him one a day as a treat. I purchased because he has torn his doggie ACL in the past. It had proven some, very moderate effect on my doggy's joint issues. I cannot recommend it for that reason, but it doesn't make it a bad product. In fact, he found it tasty enough not to spit, which is impossible with Strand syrup he was prescribed, and it didn't affect his stool–again unlike Strand. What really helped him was a gelatinous-rich diet, if you wonder, but the smell is horrendous and it definitely made him fart like crazy. So, considering this, I think, it doesn't hurt to try these soft chews and see if it does your pet any good before looking for something else. I love this stuff!! My money earning barrel horse has a tendency to get sore after a race…which is no surprise given how hard she works! Once she is cooled out I put this gel on the areas she tends to get sore and I find that she has reduced soreness, her muscles recover quicker and she just a lot more comfortable. My mare's sports massage therapist can tell the difference between when I use it and when I don't so now I use it every race! In the summer I use the sore-no-more body wash and find it works wonderfully and the cold water helps keep her cooler too.
