When they say mini they sure do mean it! I bought these for my silky terrier since he seems to love the Blue Buffalo health bars and they seem like a better option than “junk food” treats. But they were pretty small! I felt like I had to keep an eye on him for choking reasons, but he hasn’t choked and they seem to do just fine on his tummy. They do take him some time to chew on so I definitely feel like they help in the oral health department. Still has stinky dog breath! May go back to minties next time. But not a bad trial. I bought the large in these. I’m so glad I found these bones. We started giving these to our dog every night after we paid $1800 to have a deep teeth cleaning and to have an abscessed tooth removed and another broken (and in danger of becoming abscessed) tooth removed. The vet recommended better oral care for her. We chose these. I’ve given our pitbull other brands that are grain free but I like these much better. The other brands don’t last long but she gets a good chew out of these. She enjoys these. 18 month update: our vet said our dog’s teeth look remarkably good. My two pitties love the Red Barn bully coated bones! We love them because the bones aren't greasy. Although I can buy the bones on line and pick up locally, the store doesn't take care on giving us the good bones. Some of the bones are thin and will break apart in the pup's mouth creating a choking hazard. When I order online from Southern Agriculture, I always get good bones. My dog tends to hoard her marrow bones, so while we have a lot inside that won't stain the carpet, I wanted something for outside that would occupy her time in the yard and not draw insects. She loves this coated marrow bones! It is evident she loves the flavor as she does her best to lick and graze all of it off that she can! These Minties Twists Chews Actually solved two problems with our French Bulldog. The first was finding a treat for him that would agree with his sensitive stomach. the second was getting his teeth clean which is a struggle with him. I had pulled out the bag and it was if he knew they were for him. He came right over and sat down . I gave him one, he took it and ran over to his pad and ate it. they are the perfect size for him and because they are twists they give him different angles to chew while cleaning his teeth.He was done in a few minutes. I love my dog but his breath can be a little, shall we say, overwhelming at times. I love the idea of helping freshen his breath without him knowing it. No more chasing him around the house with a doggie toothbrush… instead, I just offer him a minty treat, which is really a treat for both of us. My pups recently started eating Minties Twists and they love them! I love them because they are helping to get rid of their doggie breath and leaving a more pleasant minty scent in their mouth. I have two shih-poos and give them one each per day, two if they are being rewarded. It’s nice that they are wheat and corn free, low in fat, and easy digestible. I like them because they help to remove plaque and tartar on their teeth while at the same time being a treat for them. I like that they don’t just chow down on them so quickly. They have to sit there and chew on them for a little while, so they give the chews some time to work on their teeth. My dogs are so excited when they hear the bag open. They sit so patiently and wait for their treat. I am glad that they ended up liking them so much! They do stink but my experience has been that the smellier they are the more the dogs love it! It is a repulsive smell so I would advise against letting them on the furniture with it and wash your hands after touching them as your hands will smell. I tolerate this because at 5.00 per pop you want quality, a safe product for your pup and want them to last a bit. I have bought brands that our Toy Aussiedoodle demolished in less than a day but I get the large and she is an aggressive chewer so they last up to 2 days for each stick sometimes. We also have a chi that likes the large sticks and they last him quite awhile! Please always take any treat from your pet when it gets too small. These NatureGnaws bully sticks are a great option to get for your dog if he or she is a tough chewer. It seems like bully sticks are the only things that can keep them occupied for longer than 15 minutes. In fact, my dog usually chews a bully stick for around 30 minutes or so, so it ends up being a great investment. As far as the quality of these bully sticks, my dog seems to love them. Granted, she loves pretty much everything, so that's not the best way to determine how good it is. As far as bully sticks in general go, I've tried ones from Costco and Chewy.com, and I would say, the ones from Chewy are the least smelliest of them all. These NatureGnaws ones are similar in smell to the ones from Costco. They don't smell bed at first, but once the dog starts chewing on them for a while, the odor comes gushing out. But if you're used to the bully sticks smell, then this shouldn't be a problem. These bully sticks are also about 2 inches shorter in length than ones from Costco. Pretty nutritionally bankrupt except for the meat rolled in the faux-rawhide. Rice is the first ingredient, and not even brown rice. Adult dogs eat these instantly, making them not at all cost-effective as a treat. Puppies with baby teeth, however, take a while to chew them up, giving them an intro to the fun of chewing REAL rawhide, etc.Boerne

I decided to write a review bc just the other day I gave both my dogs a milk bone dog biscuit like I do every day, a couple of times a day lol. And was watching both my dogs go crazy over these dog treats and they tore them up. Mind you my oldest dog is picky when it comes to treats and food, and usually always rejects anything I try to give her; but not these! I've been giving these milk bone dog treats to my dogs for years (everyday 3 times a day) and they absolutely love them. I always wonder what the heck is actually inside these darn milk bone dog biscuits/treats, for my dogs to go head over paws for one. but at this point I guess it doesn't really matter what is in them, bc my dogs vet knows they get these as treats and never advised me to stop giving them to my fur babies, and watching my dogs go absolutely crazy over these dog bones; is all that really matters to me.melissa.m

My pit bull really loves these things. She gets so excited when we say “treat” and runs right towards the cupboard we keep them in. She doesn’t usually even like biscuit type treats but she goes crazy for these things. They’ve helped us in treat training her. She seems pretty happy with the taste and her poops have been healthy after eating them. They’re supposed to help with cleaning her teeth, and her teeth are still in good shape, but her breath still smells like meat all the time. The only concern I have is that I read these have carcinogen chemicals and preservatives in the ingredients which are bad for your dog and can cause cancer. So now I try to give these to her in moderation just in case. I like how accessible these treats are since they’re sold in almost every major store. And I like that the company donates money to canine assistant programs that supply trained dogs to people with handicaps. I would never buy these dog treats again. About a year ago I would give my new puppy these treats and she randomly began having bathroom issues. I then assumed it was her dog food and completely changed her entire diet and threw away everything I was feeding her. Recently, we started giving her the milk bones again and the other day she started the bathroom issues again. The past couple of nights she’s been so sick she can’t even hold it in all night like she used to, she wakes us up at 3am crying to go outside and do number 2. This morning she woke us up wanting to go outside and not only go number 2 but also when she went blood came out of her bottom, which is what was happening a year ago. I know this is from the milk bone because we don’t feed her anything other then her normal dog food now ( which works perfectly with her stomach) and these bones. On top of that we find messes in her cage from throughout the night that we end up cleaning every morning. I hope she starts feeling better soon 😢Sarah Williams

I have 2 large dogs and they really like the Vita Bone Original bone biscuits. I usually give each dog one biscuit after dinner a day. They know the routine. As soon as they finish their bowls of food they come and sit by the treat jar and wait for me to hand out their biscuits. I like the size of the bones, they are great for my German Shepherds. And they are a nice thickness so the dogs actually get to chew on them for a few seconds before they inhale them. It's a great way to get some vitamins and minerals into their diet without having to mix it in their food.Shanna

I have six rescued dogs and 2 have great fear of thunder storms, fireworks and extreme loud noises. Also have 1 dog that has anxiety extremely bad. These actually help and they love the taste of them. Can't beat that, because they need all the help they can get when those certain circumstances are happening to them. By the way, for those of you reading this, spread the word for all to hear that are looking for a pet. Ask for them not to buy their animals from breeders or puppy mills, tell them to go to their local dog pound, humane society or rescue organization to save a life. Our dog really likes these treats but I'm not sure about the claims for skin and coat. Our dog is a wire fox terrier and she has ongoing skin issues that cause her to chew her feet and hind quarters excessively. We have tried all of the special diets, shots and other stuff but so far very little improvement. Saw these and thought we would give them a try. No noticeable improvement in skin problems, but my dog loves them and I love that they are made with all natural ingredients and NO CORN, which is very hard to find. This brand, Bonies Hip and Joint, was recommended by our vet. Our dog is a senior and still a picky eater. He loves this treat! It has been a challenge to get these online and in stores since not too many suppliers or retailers carry this brand for hip and joint. My attempt at a play on words is that even though my dog is a medium-sized Chow-mix Rescue, the Soup Bones Mini-Size when broken in half is a perfect sized treat for when my precious pup is simply walking in the door or letting me clean mud off her paws, and any other task she should do without bribery! I feed her grain-free food but give her these treats. Yes, I am aware these have wheat in them. Some studies show that a little grain is good for dogs, even if they have sensitivities like mine. As long as I don’t give her too many to upset her skin condition, it’s not a problem. Plus, these are her ABSOLUTE FAVORITE treats! We call them “Treaty Bones” to differentiate from the other dental-cleaning “Treats” or jerky “Cookies” that she also gets. Sometimes, I don’t even have to say her name to call her inside; even if she’s super engrossed in something outside, all I have to say is “TREATY BONE!” from the back door or over the security camera speakers, and zzzooooommm!!! She’s at my feet like a good girl. These Soup Bones in any flavor or size make her happier than belly rubs! There have been some reviews with complaints about the number of bones, bag weight or volume, changes in size from the original and regular-sized Soup Bones, and I completely agree. Once the population was hooked, the Soup Bones Bakers started to cut the product’s quantity just a little. Long ago, I sent out a photo out on IG with the sudden change in size of the Soup Bones (before Minis were available) and asked Rachael Ray’s company if they assumed we wouldn’t notice the difference. Come on, OF COURSE WE NOTICED! These are for our-fur babies! While, I’m not always happy with the size, price, or weight of them (and “Long Lasting” in the description, Really?), my girl LOVES them, so I have to buy them. I admit upfront that I'm over-tired of Ms. Ray and her EVOO fixation, as well as her vaunted pet line–she feels like the Dr. Oz of pop culinary pursuits. However, these were on discount, so I felt like I could give them a shot, in my hunt for reward items for my dog that would also hopefully get him out of my hair for at least a little while. My dog loved them, but despite being a wee specimen of a probably-miniature-schnoodle, he would gobble them down in usually well under 30 seconds, making them more of a high-calorie treat than a keep-'em-busy chew, by far. Calling them bones is also a misnomer, in that they don't really resemble them in anything more than a hypothetical, perhaps symbolic sense–they're not at all crunchy, and not even remotely as durable. If I'd known they're really more just doughy and squodgy, I might've thought twice about ordering them via drive-up pickup, sight effectively unseen. Still, my dog was at least very pleased by them, so it wasn't a total loss. I just don't think I'd get them again, particularly at full price. We have been using these for our dogs for three years. We have 3 black Labs among our family members. One pure, one Lab/Shepherd and one Lab/Great Dane. They are all big chewers with powerful jaws. This is the only bone that lasts for any of them. The Dane mix finishes it off in about a month and the pure bred and shepherd mix can go 2-3 months. I wash it with Dawn when it arrives so it doesn't stain the carpet. The dogs don't care, they just take it and hide for hours, chewing away. Great product! Love the ship to site feature. This is a ridiculously huge bone! I'm not sure how much bones are, or how big they are, but this is at least a cow's whole leg! It was well coated in whatever it was that drove my dog nuts! She couldn't keep still! I'm not sure how much bones should be, or how much they really cost, but this should last my dog a while. I don't exactly have money to just shell out, but this exceeded my expectations! It should last a while. Although, this is only for huge dogs! I don't think my dog is able to chew through it! When I first received the Dentastix, my dog could smell them through the bag. She was all over me trying to get to the bag. I gave her one of the stix and she devoured it. It sure does help with her bad breath. These treats are permanently on our weekly shopping list. I haven't found these one's at my local store so I have to buy an alternate from the same manufacturer. It's a treat for my dog and they clean her teeth on a daily basis. I love these because they are multipurpose! They help keep my dogs' teeth clean all the while keep my dogs happy by giving them something to chew on. As happens, especially as your dog gets older, our dog (a 70lb 5-year-old lab shepherd mix) gets some stinky breath sometimes. We tried these, in original and mint-flavored, and they really do help to make their breath better! My in-laws are big fans of greenies but their dogs (2 yellow labs) breath still always smells bad even though greenness are supposed to be the best you can buy. These dentastix work better than greenies and are a third the cost! Our dog loves them and even gets grouchy if we forget! Obviously, these are not a replacement for actual dental care but for in-between visits they work amazing! I love all the nylabone products and hate, I know it's kind of a harsh word but it's the only one that fits my feeling, rawhide anythings. I had a husky/lab mix several years ago. She was about 10 years old at the time. She was chewing on a large rawhide bone in my mom's room and I was next door in my room. Suddenly, frantically my mom yelled for me to come into her room. I ran in and saw my dog choking. With no thought to the fact that she could have bitten my arm off I immediately opened her mouth and pulled out the rawhide bone she was chewing on (one side got soft so she must have thought she could swallow it without thinking about the rest that wasn't soft which I grabbed on to), pulled it out and threw it right in the garbage. That was about 10 years ago. I basically saved her life that night. I dread the thought of what might have happened if I weren't home that night. She lived another 5 years (until age 15) after that incident which the vet said was phenomenal for as large a dog as she was. Then I found the nylabone products and these are the only items that I feel safe leaving down for my dog or any of my foster dogs when I go to work. I have a variety of shapes and sizes. I even recommend these products to everyone I meet who are considering rawhide. Yes they are more expensive than rawhide but not having to worry about my dog(s) choking to death while I am at work are much more important to me.Dolores1

My fault as I did not realize the product was such a hard plastic feel. My GSD didn't like it at first but eventually chewed a bit on the nylabone stick but it made hard sharp teeth marks and she started coughing from the little pieces coming off. Maybe fine if this product is just used to throw and retrieve but I would not recommend it as a chew toy.Simone

These are great for about 30 min and then maybe again a few days later for another 30 min. But my dogs lose interest. Both my 13 yo Portie and my 1 yr old bernedoodle ignore them after the first week and the bones just sit around. Something about the cooked – slightly rancid smelling? – bones just don’t appeal to them. Not just these. It’s with any store-brought brand of packaged pre-cooked bones. Bone was shipped as described and very quickly, overall customer experience was excellent. However my dog did fracture his tooth on the bone during supervised play. Just be aware of the risks of a chew like this, supervision is a must and even with it accidents can happen. That being said if your dog is comfortable with these types of toys this is a great company to order from with wonderful customer support and incredibly fast shipping. If I were to buy them in the store I would pick out bones that didn't look as if they were peeling but because they were replacement bones (I didn't choose them) for ones purchased in a store that both split straight through after a cleaning they were ok. I appreciated that they were replaced but when I opened the box I thought to myself how long were they in the warehouse. I see the next question asks if I would recommend them and I'm not sure how to answer it because it's a maybe.Ronnie P.

It’s been hard to find something that’ll last Bandit Longer than 15 minutes, he’s super smart and figures everything out super quick. He’s a six month old hound mix with a lot of puppy energy. He was at this for about an hour and a half then he hid it in his “secret” spot (under the table). I think it was only because his jaw got tired. Took a break and now is back at it. Much thicker better quality than expected. Will be purchasing again when I need to but I can easily see myself re-stuffing and freezing it.Martha
