The cover was just as I expected. Light weight, durable and easy to care for. The oy recommendation I can .American is to add velcro/hook&loop fasteners to keep the top of the cover in place. This is exactly the size I needed for small dog for transporting in car on long trips. Plenty roomy and lots of side “ windows” for looking out. Fits perfectly in the car seat and and put the seat belt on to hold it. The mesh opening makes it easy in and out. Fairly sturdy zipper closure. It folds flat and comes with a carry/ storage bag. The bottom is not super sturdy even with the included pad, but am able to carry our dog in it in and out of a hotel as she is a lightweight . A red folding carrier was available on this site for only 9.99. I paid much more for this carrier because every photo conveyed it as a soft, grayish green and white that perfectly matched my decor. We received a saturated, dark green carrier with cream accents. We're using it to conceal our cat's litter box, so the color matters. Love the convenience of this kennel – zips apart into three pieces and folds down completely flat into a carrying case that's included. Can be used indoor/outdoor. Zippers work well, and minimal mesh is nice. Still very breathable. This one came with a mat unlike many others available. It is a pretty thin mat but that's okay, my puppy prefers it. Now, she is a 4-month old puppy and I never would have used this to crate train her. She would have shredded it to bits trying to get out. This should only be used for crate-trained dogs, and not doing so is where all of the bad reviews for this type of crate come from, I think. The first night we had this, we opened the door to let her out and she refused to come out! Just rolled over and went back to sleep. I wanted a soft crate with a top opening for my puppy that will be arriving in mid July. As a pet sitter, I've seen my clients crates and as good as they were, this one is that much better. It's good looking, has openings on three sides and the top plus has foldable shades on all openings. It comes with a sherpa inside mat that's not plush by any means but does the job. I called customer service when I ordered and they helped me pick the right size and told me that if I wasn't happy when I received it to let them know and they'd pick up the original and ship me the new size. Well, it arrived quickly and and i was informed every step of the way. I think the size will be perfect but I'm confident that when my girl arrives, if needed, this company will honor their commitment and switch sizes. I'm really happy with my purchase. Fabulous overall experience. Product was received in a timely manner, well packed, and the product itself is the best! There are too many junky soft-sided crates on the market. This one is sturdy, putting it together is a snap, and the pad inside can be replaced with all kinds of options when needed. We generally replace a pad on the inside about once a year just to keep them fresh. Our dogs actually like the blue ‘cooling’pads more than big fluffy pads anyway, but they are Shelties with a lot of hair. The crate itself is just superior and I have just ordered a second one for another pup arriving soon. Really, I can’t say enough good things about this crate. If your pup is a chewer you might consider a hard crate temporarily till they move out of the chewing phase but there isn’t much to chew on in these crates anyway as the canvas outer shell is very tight doesn’t give much leeway to chew. And our current 6 month old Sheltie goes in to the crate to lay down completely on his own – it’s his own little abode and he is content.Joy F.
Fell apart roughly a year after purchase. The plastic pieces / connectors for the frame literally hardened and crumbled. The crate was never used to travel anywhere either. It simply sat in a carpeted bedroom. I was fortunate my dog was not in the crate at the time so that he wasn't injured. I reached out to support and sat here since April. Yes since APRIL (so 6 months), trying to get 2 replacement pieces of plastic, which I have been told are backordered and that I'll hear when they arrive. Today they reached out to me and are telling me I need to pay nearly $100 for the s2 piece of plastic, so half the cost of the entire crate. If I had known that I would have simply contested the charges for this piece of junk and bought another crate from somebody else who won't keep me sitting here. This is a very lightweight product with plenty of room for my 7 month old pup. She loves it. Easy to keep by the bedside, take to the car, travel with cozy den. I have not left her alone in this for long periods of time as a crate when I go out (still use a metal crate for that) as I don't know if she would try to chew on it being a soft crate and she's a puppy. I had purchased two of these large crates in 1995 when I was showing my dogs I loved both of those crates. I still have one of the crates and needed another for my new dog that is 25lbs. I ordered the new crate and I was a little disappointed with the quality of materials now used in the production of the crates. The crate I have had for 20 years is better made. We have a Catahoula pup and ordered the 36” soft camo crate. It fits perfectly in our Jeep and is great for travel purposes. I have read reviews on rips and tears but this crate is made very well! Only reason there would be an issue is if the dog is not crate trained/loves to chew and scratch. It did take a bit for our pup to get use to it in the car but once he did it has been the best! Super easy to store away as well.

Exactly what I needed. My 5 month puppy had outgrown the first carrier and I needed something to use in the car and it fits perfectly. I put it in the backseat and the seatbelt fits and keeps it in place. I put it in the rear passenger side and I can see him and he can see me. Note of caution: there is a strap with a hook inside the crate. I found that it was too short to allow him to move around so hooking your dog up to strap may not be a good idea.Reid1

This brand's quality is TERRIBLE & kinda feeling like petco is for mailing one that's obviously coming apart ngl. Literally the mat was sized wrong, side not properly attached, the front clearly wasn't stitched right, or it's used?.. Poor stitching overall. Doesn't look used at first glance but it's coming apart. I'm not gonna post every picture, but this brand seems to be unreliable. Contacted petco but they need pics and can't tell me if I can get it repaired? Basically it's not their problem, they're contacting the company they got it from. If it wasn't the only carrier my rescue kitten was curious about instead of terrified of I wouldn't bother… It's sold out so I can't keep ordering it hoping for a good one. There’s no way I bought the same carrier as the same people who wrote good reviews. The zipper broke the first time I zipped it. The shoulder strap makes it not sturdy. Not as large as I thought it would be and I bought the large. My cat takes daily trips to the vet so I was looking for something easier to carry. This is not it. I like that my kitten is visible when I placed her inside the carrier. I love the clasp that keeps the zipper from accidentally opening once my kitten was placed inside. We have a Catahoula pup and ordered the 36” soft camo crate. It fits perfectly in our Jeep and is great for travel purposes. I have read reviews on rips and tears but this crate is made very well! Only reason there would be an issue is if the dog is not crate trained/loves to chew and scratch. It did take a bit for our pup to get use to it in the car but once he did it has been the best! Super easy to store away as well.

After a bad experience with wire crates and tooth breakage in our Chocolate Lab years ago, I purchased two of these crates to be used in our Expedition to bring home two rescued puppies. They were old enough not to chew them up and had been accustomed to being crated so did not claw at netting. The crates offer a lot of air circulation and viewing. After our initial car ride, we would never use these crates for anything other than a place to call their beds. The padding on the "floor" is rather skimpy so had to purchase additional pads for comfort. Attached storage bags a nice feature but would prefer to have them all on removable clips rather than sewn onto the top of the crate. PRO: Air Circulation, Ease of setup CON: Attached dangling strap inside. We cut out for our use. Not strong enough for travel usage unless very mellow dog. Would not protect dog in dangerous situation.MEG
I purchased this for a dog with IVDD that needed to be on cage rest with the idea that it could move around the house and he could at least be near us. Well once he recovered and we took our first trip it was evident it was not functional. Our schnoodle was able to get out of it and eventually broke the mesh. 3 stars because I'm not sure it fthe issue was a houdini dog or a flimsy crate.Gwen

This is such a great product – I'm extremely happy we purchased this. We got it for an upcoming tent camping trip. Our dog typically sleeps in her crate at night but its too large and being metal we were afraid it would rip the tent. I found this item and couldn't be more pleased! Super convenient in its carrying case, very easy to put together, and even comes with stakes in case you do want to use it outside and make sure it doesn't blow away. For the cost too – this is such a great purchase! Notes: the color is more of a burnt orange color. The front/back zipper onto the middle section. We did opt to add another layer of cushion because the one provided is quite thin. We have a 50lb small-ish pit who likes to be super comfy all the time.
I purchased one of these right after I moved into our current home, which was over five years ago. It held up beautifully. I would take it out and hose it down now and again to keep it clean and dustless. I decided to replace it only because the dog loves it so much and it was starting to look a little shabby. He had chewed on the mesh door when he was younger and made a hole, and I was no longer able to zip him into it for the night because he would just force himself through that hole. I was very happy to see that they still make pretty much exactly the same product, although I probably shouldn't have been because it's such a good-quality item other people would surely re-buy it too. I can't praise it highly enough. For what it is–a lightweight yet sturdy, easily transportable (even with its own carrying case) dog's home-away-from-home, I doubt it could be bettered, especially for the price.David

I like this kennel it folds flat and is light weight and easy to set up. The bag is a great feature and makes packing easier. Velcro fasteners that hold up the windows are a bit jankie and that could be improved. Thats why I gave it a 4. I had borrowed the same kennel from my daughter for a recent trip with my puppy. I was satified with it so I purchased this for a maltipoo puppy for when we travel and she needs a place to sleep and be confined. It will not hold a dog that chews or tries to escape. So I dont understand the negative reviews others have given about their dogs destroying it. Its a soft side kennel so what do you expect? I am pleased with my purchase.T Farley
This is exactly the size I needed for small dog for transporting in car on long trips. Plenty roomy and lots of side “ windows” for looking out. Fits perfectly in the car seat and and put the seat belt on to hold it. The mesh opening makes it easy in and out. Fairly sturdy zipper closure. It folds flat and comes with a carry/ storage bag. The bottom is not super sturdy even with the included pad, but am able to carry our dog in it in and out of a hotel as she is a lightweight . I am very happy with this crate, as is my puppy! It's the perfect size for her now and even when she gets to be full size. She loves to lay in it and so do my cats. I have yet to actually close her up in it, so I'm not sure how it will hold up to her attempting to get out, but I'll be sure to add to this review when that time comes. Our 80# lab loves this travel crate. We have traveled with it 4-5 times now and it is great for the purpose. We bought the largest one (48") and because of the size it does not fit easily into a sedan even when folded, but it does fold up pretty well. It is not as "neat" on the folds as when you first open the box, but it works. We bring his Impact K9 orthopedic mattress from his home crate and it fits exactly, as it should. The little fluff "bed" that comes with it really isn't sufficient for a crate this size (and the corresponding dog inside!) but otherwise we really have nothing negative to say about it. I wish it had come in a dark color and that the zipper would slide a bit more smoothly, but we would recommend this item without reservation.Dr. CA
Excellent crate. Our 5 month old German Shepherd loves it. We put it in back of our van. She will grow into it. Light enough to move when needed. She damaged mesh on her smaller cheaper soft crate, but so far after half a dozen rides, the mesh is intact. Only caution is to measure before purchase, as this crate is huge.Marjorie
