I am using this for a 75 lb doberman. It is a good height for her and it's nice to have her food and water together. She can be messy at times and this is easy to wipe clean. The bowls go in and out easily, but what I have done is place her old food bowl inside the stainless steel one. It is smaller in diameter and fits right inside the one that came with the feeder. It has the added advantage of catching additional spills. My only complaint would be that the feeder is light weight and can be easily scooted around on a tile floor. Her's is right up next to the side of the fridge which prevents it from moving around. This was a good value for the price.wtr8one
This is exactly the right height for my standard poodle. I did not realize that the bowls would fit into cut out holes with no bottom, so you have to have exactly the right sized bowl. I'm really happy with this dog dish. I needed something slim but sturdy and this works so well. My dog is naturally skittish anyway, so he's a bit freaked out over this new approach to eating, but with some coaxing I have no doubt he'll get there. I was pretty sure I had gone back to my cart and selected the medium and was sent the small, but we have a schnauzer, so it'll still work just fine and has so far. Make sure you have the right size selected. The bowls are nice and don't feel cheap. I like that they have kind of a texture to them. My dog is older and has lost some teeth, so having the texture actually helps him pick the food out of the bowl easier. He is fed raw dog food, so it's wet when he eats it. Other bowls we tried were glossy and he pushed a lot of the food out while eating. We saw similar dishes at PetCo for the same price. I would definitely recommend this dog dish.Amy

I would perhaps like to buy a set, a large set, in the dark gray as shown- in the extended details section it says there are 4 color options, but not what they are nor how to select/view them – And only because of the 4th picture, I'm able to determine there are 3 sizes available- that picture shows they come in small, medium, large with the equivalent amount of cups each size holds… swell, really, ****BUT**** how the heck are you supposed to know/select the size you want?!?! I needed a second food stand so our Granddog, a terrier mutt, would not abscond with our Labrador retriever’s food bowls containing any uneaten food and scatter it in the living room. I bought this because it had some height, a 4 cup Pyrex bowls would fit in it, and the price was good. Unfortunately for us, the stand does not have a circular bowl holder, but is square. So, it does not hold the bowl completely still. Our labrador hasn’t read the lab manual – she doesn’t know she’s supposed to be confident. She’s happy but skittish and insecure. So, the metallic bowl moved and made a noise when she was eating her food. It scared her, and she jumped back. Now, she will not approach the bowl. Not even when using the Pyrex bowls. It is a beautiful feeder but only 4 months later it is split all along the top of it, from one side to the other. This feeder is kept in my bedroom as back-up or 'night time' feeder for one dog, so there is not a lot of abuse, if any so I am really disappointed that it has not lasted even 6 months. And the bowls are shallow so they do not hold much water or food.

This works well to bring the dog bowls up for my dogs eating and drinking at a more comfortable height. However the design is annoying in they way that the legs extend out from the top. The legs stick out *just* far enough to that visually you don’t notice it and we were constantly running into it and end up spilling the water all over the place. We rarely kicked the bowls when they were on the floor so something about this design makes it seem like it is narrower than it is. I have an older Standard Poodle, well he's actually what is called a Royal because is taller than the AKC standard poodle guidelines. This product works exactly as advertised but with some positive bonuses that were not mentioned in the description. It's tilt-proof and spill proof, just as advertised, but the way the bowls fit into the stand, my puppy can't remove the bowl to play with it when it's empty (or still half full sometimes!) It's way better than pads under the bowls for a variety of reasons. Our pup used to pull the pads under the bowl in play, which dragged the bowls all over the house. I purchased 2 of the smaller raised 2.5 cup slow feeders, which is recommended for cats per the FAQ and listing, for my 2 cats. They will only eat if there is significant volume of food within the feeder, but will not eat if there is a small amount between the feeder elevations. My guess is that the elevations on the feeder are too tall and is touching their whiskers. I’m happy to report that since receiving the Neater Slow feeder, Forrest has had no problems with regurgitation, hiccups, or belching. This thing is a miracle feeder and we love love love it!! It is made out of high quality hard safe plastic and it had rubber stoppers on the bottom to keep it from sliding around. I love this feeder! When our Basset was younger, he had a companion and she would clean up his face after he drank from his dish. She passed on at 13 and he was left on his own. After he drinks, the contents of his water dish have become almost a jello-like substance~~a petrol 30/weight concoction which lands on the kitchen floor. Plus, prior to buying this feeder his ears wound up in both the water and food dishes. Yuck! This feeder has almost completely conquered this problem. I worried that the dishes in the feeder were too close together and food would wind up in the water dish but this didn't happen. The placement of the dishes seems to prevent his ears from landing in the dishes too. Another bonus is that no food and water lands on the floor keeping the sweeping and mopping by the feeder to a minimum. I love this thing! I did get it on sale on Black Friday and got a fabulous price but it's worth the full price. It's easy to clean, attractive, and keeps things neat. What more could you ask?!Zagnut9
Neater Feeder has been great for my large 60 pound lab/pyrenees mix. He's very tall and needed something higher off the ground than a standard feeding bowl. Because of his size, my dog is also a bit clumsy so this feeding setup catches the splashes from the water bowl and the food flying out of his food bowl. I ordered the neater feeder Express in cappuccino for my German Shepherd. I needed a system that would keep the water off the floor as we recently had travertine floors with large grout lines placed in our home. This definitely does the trick and is keeping all but a few drops off of the floor! It is up off of the ground so any drops dry quickly and easily and most of the water is contained in the catch tray. I should note that the only drops that land on the floor are the ones that fall off of her face. She is no longer able to flip her bowls over and all food stays in the neater feeder! This bowl has saved our home and our dog from destruction! Our elderly dog, Joey, was not able to bend over easily to drink. He kept falling into a regular bowl and tipped over whatever contraption we put together to elevate it. After extensive research, we found this. It is heavy and very sturdy. I purchased 2 of the smaller raised 2.5 cup slow feeders, which is recommended for cats per the FAQ and listing, for my 2 cats. They will only eat if there is significant volume of food within the feeder, but will not eat if there is a small amount between the feeder elevations. My guess is that the elevations on the feeder are too tall and is touching their whiskers. I really like this elevated food stand I picked it because the height would work well with my small dog who has some orthopaedic issues. I got this for my puppy before realizing he is much to big. But for him it's perfect heights and it's really adorable too! It fits well Mywhere and it doesn't slide around at all. Since it was to small for my up I decided to use it as a feed bowl for my lizards. It serves as a hide for them as well as a place for their food and seed. It works great since these are desert animals thry constantly get their food intonthe sand and that just can not be tasty. I purchased this product almost two years ago for my japanese mastiff. My dog is very very messy during feeding time and I was concerned for his older body. This product is definitely worth it and is comparable to the more expensive brands on other pet sites. Quality plastic construction, sturdy metal bowls, and a nice rim for catching water. Works good for 3 1/2 month old shar pei puppy. She's quite a slobber when she drinks water, helps eliminate water from floor. I removed elevated legs, tray moves when she eats for now. Bottom of tray need to have some type of non-skid/slip pads placed underneath to help keep tray in place.
