I ordered a Medium, and I'm pretty sure I got a Large. It's bigger than the Medium size bed, and since it's for my kitten, I'm really hoping he grows into it! I have this exact same bed in a medium size that I purchased years ago, and the foam in that one is a LOT thicker than the foam in the one I received from Groupon. I'm not sure if that's a change in production/quality by Furhaven products, but I do wish the foam was thicker, especially for such a large bed. My kitten seems to like it, so I'm keeping it, even though it's HUGE for him.
My two dogs, who are very particular about laying on blankets and pillows, both gravitated to this bed as soon as I put it out for them. They love the combination of the orthopedic bed with the soft and fuzzy plush covering on it and will stay there for hours, when they used to only curl up on the couch with a blanket with a human. Their immediate satisfaction with the bed was a very pleasant surprise and I cannot stress enough how picky my dogs are about where/what they lay on and how much they love this bed. I ordered this after my 60lb Golden girl refused to leave my sister’s Golden’s bed over the holidays. My sister told me where she got it and I ordered my girl one immediately! It is a nice thick bed with a very soft cover. I got the beige/cream color, which has a little bit more yellow tinge to it than I’d like, but it still matches our home decor & her hair color the best out of the options. I bought two of these for my Rough Collie. He was about 70-75 pounds and very old. I needed something to keep him off the hard floor. He road 1500 miles in the back of my car on his bed and was super comfy the whole way! We had them in the bedroom and in the living room for him. He loved them a lot. We had them for close to 2 years before another dog decided to keep urinating on them. I was able to wash the covers easily but the foam was getting really stained and gross smelling.Raquel C.

I have two dogs, a mini-Aussie in this size range and a border collie slightly larger than this range. Both use the bed happily (never together). The fabric isn’t showing any signs of wear. This is a well made dog bed. Easy to put together, very comfortable for my dog, stays cleaner than other dog beds, easy to remove and wash. I have a labrador retriever and initially got the large size, but exchanged it for the jumbo. The large size was a good size, but upon watching him sleep, i found out he likes to stretch out. Yes the jumbo size is very large and requires a lot of space in your room, but it is worth it to see him stretch out or curled up in his very comfy bed. A little pricey but he is worth it. I tried other beds and they are of inferior quality and won't last long. I highly recommend it. For your reference my dog is about 73 Lbs and measured 40 inches when laying down and lightly curled. Two dogs could fit in the jumbo bed if they decide to curl and lay next to each other. But not for stretching in a hot summer evening.Love Labradors 2
My 13 year old Lab was going for spirited 2 mile walks 4 months ago but alas, age it seems has finally caught up with my dearest and closest friend. Got this bed for an older 50 lb. dog needing a soft place to lay, also got another 4-5 inch thicker orthopedic bed for her.As soon as we opened and laid this bed out she got on it and didn't get off of it except to go out to the bathroom, then came right back to the bed. It gives a little from her lying on it but I just shake it out to fluff it up. It would best fit a dog above 40 pounds or so. My girl only weighs 20 and it was just too firm fir her. It is well made, good zippers and removeable washable cover. This dog bed is by far the worst bed I have ever purchased!! The very first thought that came to my mind was “ This manufacturer must think who cares it’s just an animal they will sleep anywhere on anything”! Notice to all animal parents.. The outer cover is soft but thin and so loose around the liner it bunches up and slips around. I am going to add the bolsters from my dogs old bed to see what I can do to make this atrocity better! This bed cannot withstand HEAT. The first time you wash it do not wash in hot water or dry it. It melted and walmart only gave me half the money back because I couldn't find my receipt. Our dog's nighttime bed is a 54" toddler bed with an egg crate dog bed on top to avoid strain on his joints. We bought this bed for when he's hanging out with the fam in the living room. We were going to return it for another toddler bed (that's about the same price and waterproof), but it might have been a previous customer return because he sniffed a certain spot then peed on it. It washes well in the machine but drying is air dry only. So we now use it with a folded comforter underneath and a waterproof camping blanket on top–but its still not thick enough for a giant dog imo. We will probably still order the toddler bed and put this on top.G

This bed cannot withstand HEAT. The first time you wash it do not wash in hot water or dry it. It melted and walmart only gave me half the money back because I couldn't find my receipt. This large doggie orthopedic sofa bed is the best bed I've bought for my boxer. He loves this bed. The first night of sleeping on this bed was the best night for me…why…because He didn't wake me up until 9am instead of 7:30 am to go out to potty. I believe he had a more comfortable sleep, also because he appeared to have more engery…jumping around like a Jack rabbit, circling around me wagging his tail as to say thankyou. The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. Why would it be any different for dogs especially when it's known that they sleep most of the time. I don't get it.Zenja B.
We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. I highly recommend the "Convoluted Orthopedic Foam" Mattress. As we live in California where the weather is warmer, the "Quilted" Cover material has been perfect all year round. This is actually our second bed that we bought. The first bed we bought for our an older dog who was starting to get arthritis and have back issues. We felt this bed greatly reduced his symptoms and made his last years much more comfortable. At a certain point we ordered a replacement cover for the first bed. It was still in such great condition when he passed that we could not get rid of it. Our new puppy found the bed and claimed it as her own. We decided to get a new cover for her along with another bed, so she had one in each room. We got the Medium size originally for a 35 LB older dog. This bed is soft and my dog seems to find it comfortable. It’s a good neutral color that blends nicely into my living room. The downside is that the cover cannot be removed for washing, but for the price, I guess I can vacuum the fur off and spot clean to make it last long enough. They advise this as a good size for large breed dogs, including Golden Retrievers (this is specifically listed on the packaging). My Golden is small for her breed – she was the runt of her litter – and this bed is just barely big enough for her (see pic). If you have a large Golden or other 60 lb breed, this “large size” bed may not accommodate them.CBTX
Got this bed a substitute in a pick up order. I allowed the substitute bc the reviews were good. I will be returning it now that I’ve seen it. The bumper edges are great and filled with a thick lining so they feel comfortable for a large dog. The actual bed part is very thin and my 60lb dog will basically be on the floor. I have bought dog beds that support her weight, but this one will not. Waste of money. Will return for a refund.A

My 54-lb Labradoodle loves this bed, and we do too. She hasn’t been able to chew it up, and eventually gives up after trying. She uses it quite often, so we think it’s comfy to her. We actually bought two—one for her crate (it fit her large crate perfectly) and one for the living room. The zipped cover makes cleanup easy (she has a sensitive stomach) and the inner pillows are only slightly difficult to get back in the cover. This is my second recent purchase of a dog bed by PetMaker, and I've ordered a third. The orthopedic foam is firm and dense enough to provide excellent support at a reasonable mid-range price. If your dog prefers to nestle into a fluffy bed, this is not the bed for that. If you're expecting memory foam that allows the dog's body to sink into the foam and conforms around the dog's body, this is not the bed for that. This is an orthopedic foam bed that will support the dog's weight and provide cushioning and comfort on a hard floor or crate. Dogs with mobility issues may have an easier time getting on and off this type of bed because they won't sink into it and struggle to get out. The foam does need a few days to fully decompress and reach three inches in height. The cover has an almost velvety finish, and the fabric is on the thinner side. So if your dog tends to maul the bed, you may want to look elsewhere for a tougher fabric (or train your dog not to maul the bed). Based on my initial impression, this dog bed seems to be of good quality and should last a good while.RottnPittieMom
The touted medical-caliber foam is exaggerative; I've used shipping foam that was sturdier. I have similar beds I purchased a decade ago at half the price from another major warehouse discount store that are four times better than these. The color was pleasing but that's about it. I looked at the specifications which said they're 5.50 H & took a chance, but the 3 H is accurate. Wow; does Nicki absolutely LOVE her new bed!! I've literally searched forever for an Ortho bed/pillow for my Rottie/Lab mix. She's a large, heavy – but beautiful girl – who was rescued during a animal cruelty seizure. The reason I mention this is that she'd been physically abused (while pregnant before turning 5 months!) and she has, as a result, bad hips & sore leg joints. In other words, it's painful for her to sleep on the hard floors inside & the deck outside. Our existing large pillow-type bed basically had a giant dent in "her spot" and provided virtually no padding. Perfect size for our 95 pound Golden Retriever. The outer fabric is denim and very durable and washable. Inner waterproof liner protects memory foam. Our dog is very rough on her beds…she likes to pick up and shake and toss her beds around. This bed is heavy and not easily tossed. I think it will last her a long time. Really nice pet bed, aaaaalmost perfect but not quite. The good: the side bolsters are nicely structured with a squared off shape (as opposed to a tube on some cheaper construction), and they're well stuffed. The bottom of the bed zips open nice and wide for the memory foam insert to go in, and the zipper operates smoothly as well so there's no fighting to get the foam stuffed in. The bottom of the whole bed is a non-slip material and it actually really does stop the bed from slipping around on my hardwood floor. What keeps it from being perfect: I wish the bolster stuffing was removable instead of permanently stitched in for easier washing and drying. But this is me being picky.Ald1234
Kirby is 13 and developing arthritis. He needed a sturdy, couch-like bed. I ordered a few on Amazon but returned them all because they were so cheap! I’m so glad I found this one; it’s 100% worth the cost. Of course, I had to lay on it to test it out and WOW! I think this is comfier than our couches. The removable foam pad is super thick. It’s like a TempurPedic material, though, so washing will deteriorate it quickly. I decided to leave the whole foam pad in the plastic bag it came rolled up in. I zippered it in the bed just like that, hoping I’ll keep drool, water, etc from soaking into the foam. Yeah, it sounds kinda like a diaper when Kirby moves around but I don’t mind. The bed itself is supposedly washable; however, the bolsters don’t come off so we’ll see how that goes when the time comes. I keep the whole bed wrapped in a sheet for extra protection. Pictures attached. As you can see, Kirby absolutely loves it and has plenty of room to sprawl out in any position. Thank you, BB&B for providing a QUALITY bed for my old man. If properly taken care of, I think this bed will last years!
This is an excellent bed for my dogs, its large enough for each of them with room to spare(golden retriever, german shepherd and black lab) and is soft and comfortable! Of course after opening I had to lay on it to try it out and man, I wish my bed was as nice as this! Quality seems exceptional so I expect it to last for years. Dont know how itll do with dirt and stains but the cover comes off easily to wash so I'm not too worried. Would recommend, your pets will love it! I was so happy to find this item. The description states "Recommended for pets 65 to 110 lbs" but I wanted a dog bed with more body so I purchased this for my two dogs to share – one weighing 45 one weighing 55 pounds. They both take turns using it. I have a few beds at different places on the floor, and was looking for one that was waterproof. This wonderful item is thick, but comfortable enough for my senior dogs, and has a nice cover which unzips on TWO sides making removal and putting back on so easy. (If you have struggled with those pads that require stuffing in the inner pad you know what I mean.) The outer cover washes nicely (I zip it almost completely closed and wash on gentle, being careful not to catch any loose threads into the zipper.) There is a separate inner cover made of a plastic type material which also zips on, but you probably would not be taking that off as you could wipe it clean if needed. Inside that cover is the high quality foam pad. Very pleased and so are my pupkin!FREEDOMandRESPONSIBILITY
