My greyhound and mini schnauzer fight over this bed. I'm happy with the size and the softness and obviously my boys love it because they race to it at nite to get it. My only complaint is the cover fabric is very thin. I've had this bed for a month and within 2 weeks the bed has gotten 3 quarter size holes in the main part of the bed and stuffing is coming out. I keep my dogs nails short and they dont dig at their bed. I think the fabric was just so thin it got punctured from them just standing on it. I'd like to return it. For the money I spent on it I had hoped it would last longer than 2 weeks. I dont have the heart to take the bed from them, I'll probably sew the holes and hope I dont have to wash it. This bed is not washable as described. Also, the zippers used are cheap quality for the price of the bed – the zippers ripped apart in less than a month, causing the "pillow" rolls to fall out. Also, the fabric isn't necessarily as durable as needed for truly large dogs because all 3 beds have holes in them just from their nails. A nice, large, comfy bed but all in all the quality is definitely not worth the price (I bought 3 of them for my 3 dogs' Christmas presents.)Julie907

I was hesitant to order a bed online because you can't really tell the quality of it and I didn't want to pay a fortune for junk. Then a sale came along as well as an additional coupon and it was a deal that I couldn't really pass up. Fortunately, the risk paid off. This bed is fantastic. It really is as described. I could sleep on it, and it's huge. I noticed some people complaining about the noise when your dog moves, but honestly, I don't even notice it most of the time. I got the XLarge 54" x 36" for my Great Pyrenees and she loves it. I was worried it wouldn't be big enough for her, but it seems to work out just fine – even if she stretches out. She's 13, so she's a old girl with arthritis.Her old bed did not survive our move, so we got this one (which frankly, did not even come close to the quality of this one). We've had it a week and already she seems to be getting around better. She really hasn't left it since. She's on the lighter side for a pyr at only 80 lbs, but the bed does not collapse with her weight. I weigh twice that and it supports me if I lie on it as well. 🙂 If I had anything to complain about, it would be the shipping/packing. This is smaller than I thought. I must have clicked on the wrong size because it doesn't fit my crate at all. It is very thin and wouldn't support my cats' or kittens' weight, so I'm not real happy with this mat. It could be used as a liner to keep litter off the plastic bottom of the crate, but that's about all.

The XL size does fit my ~80 lb Alaskan malamute. It has a nice soft outside and is pretty fluffy. I also like that there’s a somewhat grippy underside so the bed won’t slide. However, apparently my dog would rather just sleep on the floor and snubs the expensive nice bed. Nothing against the bed…he just doesn’t seem like a fan. Maybe it’s too hot for him because he has a pretty thick coat. Three stars because it seems nice and it isn’t the bed’s fault that I can’t get my dog to like it. I definitely expected this bed to offer a lot more support than it does. It has a thin filling like you would find in a dog toy or stuffed animal. The little supports on the side lay flat with the bed so it's not like the dog uses it as a raised pillow to cuddle up with. The material doesn't seem like it will last very long, especially if your dog scratches the bed before laying down. Not a bad bed and I find my dog laying in it sometimes, even though she has 3 others nearby. I just don't feel it is worth the price for the lack of support and thinner fabric.Blake

My dog, little whippet Bertie, adores his cozy cave. It’s high quality, strong and durable feel. The ortho mattress give is a sense of stability/firmness (while also soft) which I think adds to both the comfort and the durability- it I can’t see how it would go lumpy like some dog beds . I received my cozy cave but I received package poorly. The foam was ripped and the cave itself where the plastic piece is was already falling apart. I sent pictures and emailed the company and they responded immediately! They shipped out a new one right away. I received the new one and it was in perfect condition but the foam was different than the original one I received. It is working quite well so far. But if you have a Vizsla you would understand that they get in and hide in things aggressively by digging and burrowing… I’m afraid the sides of the cozy cave are not going to stay sewn together long because the the thread on the edge is weak… otherwise I LOVE IT BUT I know it can’t withstand the pressure on the edges of the opening of the cozy cave. Somehow they need to try and reinforce this better. It is very supportive and my dog loves it however. But I’m not sure if it is worth the price. Unfortunately, I purchased two of the [supposedly] XLarge SnooZZy Luxury Comfy Couch dog beds, however SnooZZy obviously 'sizes' their Comfy Couches based on toy breed dogs. My German Shepherd/Alaskan Malamute PUPPY's body is almost TWICE as long as this supposedly XLarge couch. Tried getting my adult Siberian Husky to lay on it; he gave me an "are you kidding me?" look, and won't even waste his time even stepping onto it, and my adult German Shepherd . . . well, let's just say she contorts her body to make the best of this situation. This bed seems so cozy! It is super soft and really plush that just seems so comfortable. There lavender scent is pleasant, but honestly I do not know if our pets care much about it or if it is calming to them. The 18×18" is a bit small for a beagle, so I thought our cat would claim it as it is the perfect cat size. However, the cat seems indifferent to the bed. Perhaps it is the lavender scent. This bed has ultimate comfort, for cats and dogs! We originally got this for our little pup, and it has now become a shared cat/dog bed. Our dogs are delighted with this bed. Ordering online is always hard, so I was very surprised and delighted by how fluffy and thick this bed is. You definitely need a lot of floor space for this bed, but if you have large dogs, or multiple dogs, it will be a great investment! The hard part is going to be keeping the kids from using it while they play video games in the living room!!
This is the first pet bed that I have gotten that both of my pups love. They usually end up on the couch or on one of our arm chairs, ignoring every other pet bed that we have gotten until now. When I got this and placed it out to see what they thought they immediately took to it. Whenever I look over now, one of them is lounging on it, enjoying a snooze or happily being a lazy dog.kdalby

Exceptional product, delivered in a timely fashion. It's a beautiful bed and very sturdy. I have a 45-pound Shepherd-hound mix with a relatively trim build and bought her a size large – it fits very well, especially with the bolster sides, which are large enough for my dog to rest her head on but compact enough that she can lay flat over them if she wants. I also love that the bed is made in the USA and does not include toxic chemicals like a lot of dog beds. Fabric is a beautiful color, smells very natural (anecdotally), and is soft to the touch. Let me start by saying that I am a HUGE fan of West Paw. I did extensive research to provide my puppy with the highest quality, safest toys and bedding possible, from materials sourcing to production, and West Paw is AMAZING and all while making a positive ecological difference in the world. Brava. I really actually like the bed–it's super soft, and the materials used are robust and again–trustworthy and ecologically responsible. Love it. Where did they miss the boat?? Well, they made a bed with exposed zippers. Tsk tsk. Much more than my high drive Maligator could resist. While hiding a zipper–especially from a puppy, may present a design challenge, zippers are irresistible chew toys and structural weak points. Where loads of the toys–even the plushies are holding up even against my Mal pupper, she made short work of this doggy bed in sub-five minutes. Of course, West Paw was awesomely helpful, but I was disappointed that _any_ West Paw product wasn't up to the task. Hopefully, next iteration…Thanks West Paw! 🙂Malinois M.
The overall quality of the bed itself is ok. The zipper, however, broke immediately when my puppy was nipping at it. She hasn't even slept in it yet because she's too young. We only let her on it in the evenings while we were in the living room together so we could monitor. For this price point, it should have had a covered zipper so pets don't see the zipper pull which tempts them to pull on it. Very disappointed for a West Paw product!Faith M.

The bed is well made, washable and durable. But it stays "inflated" to the point that my dog is afraid to step on it. The inner filling creates an air pocket and the solution to making the air pocket deflate is to leave the zipper open and push out the air. But as soon as I zip it back up, the air pocket is there again. Not sure the answer but my big dog doesn't like the instability or wobble created by displacing the air pocket. I put a different filling inside and the problem resolved.Robyn S
Very pleasantly surprised. It arrived much more quickly that I expected. The bed cover looks to be quite durable. The filling has held up well for each of our dogs — one 75-lb. and the other 100-lb. We've bought several kinds of dog beds over the past 3 decades; this one meets or exceeds the quality of previous purchases, and the price is less than I'd have guessed for a product of this quality.Anonymous
Our puppy loves her waterproof round dog bed! At first, I was worried because she dug at it repeatedly. I thought she was going to ruin it quickly. Nope! It's find and she eventually stopped the digging. You can see some of her nail marks but maybe those will disappear when washed. If they don't, it's fine—I was just thrilled there was no hole from her! She naps on it daily on our breezeway and I don't need to worry about it getting moldy when it gets rained on. She also loves jumping down on it when she has gotten herself on our bench and isn't sure how to get down. Great product! Very happy with the brown color.Anonymous

I bought this for my dog for a backpacking trip. It is small and lightweight. I inflated it by blowing into the "inflate" hole and made sure it was sealed. Within an hour it was mostly deflated. For the remainder of the week it served as a nice soft suggestion for where my dog should sleep. I inflated it every night and every morning it was completely flat.kate
Purchased so that my 100 pound Akita would quit stealing our Static V’s from us while we were sleeping. The bed is a more durable material than the Static V Insulated and he hasn’t managed to puncture it with his claws. The cover is durable and feels comfortable. The size is just large enough for his 100 pound frame, he hangs off of it when he stretches out but fits nicely when he’s curled up. Although I haven’t slept on it the dog says that it’s comfortable and he prefers it to sleeping on the hard ground. Only downside is that it is a little heavy for backpacking, but worth it if you don’t want the pup stealing your air mattress. All around a good durable pad.Dave P.
I have a 40 lbs border collie mix. The medium bed is just a little smaller/ thinner than I was hoping for, but I think it will work for camping. My dog will lay on the ground, but she will usually try to squeeze onto my sleeping pad with me as the night progresses. Others have mentioned the soft cover is just a tad too small for the bed when the dog bed is inflated. When inflated and with or without the cover, the bed makes the loud ‘crunch’ sound that many inflated pads make when my dog lays on it or moves around on it. I set it up in the bedroom to introduce my dog to it. She is a bit timid and hasn’t warmed up to it yet. I haven’t seen her lay on it except when I tell her to go lay on it. I’ve sat on it after blowing it up and it is ok/ fine. Should give her just barely enough height to keep her off the hard ground for the night.Joseph
