The guy retiring from my job wife said he couldn't have a dog throughout there marriage. So for his retirement i got him the perfect solution. This little dog is awesome and cute with his big eyes. Seeing it capabilities online I was immediately impressed and intrigued with self play and the balls ability to get out from under areas the dog might have trouble with since my girlfriend is in her studies from home and her work is constantly interrupted from our dog whining about a ball trapped under somewhere. This product seemed to be perfect. I ordered it. Within a week I see cheerble is now advertising a new version of the ball, felt like I missed out on a new improved design but was eager to see what the wicked ball W1 still had to offer. The ball showed up two weeks after and both my pet and I were excited. I got it out of the packaging read the manual and gave it to my French bull dog eager to play. She immediately took to it and could tell she was obsessed. This seemed all too good to be true. And it was…. In less than ten minutes our Frenchie had managed to get the clear plastic ring from the centre apart from the shell and dismantle the shell….maybe I should have got a replacement one but don't believe I should have to pay $10 to give my dog 10minutes of play… That is not sustainable living… Not for us anyways… Perhaps the new design is more durable but after spending $60+ for a ball after tax and shipping that couldn't withstand a 25lb pup I'm not to eager to dish it out again…. I got the shell to my apartment at school so by the time I was able to give it to my dog was about a month after I had received it so I never put in another request for a new one as I had no way to prove that it didn’t work since day 1. I’m hoping I was just unlucky as this was an amazing idea for a product that I loved when it did work, I’m just sad I spent so so much money for it to not work on me twice. I originally bought this toy for my mini doxie because he went crazy for it at the store, and he seems to love green toys. After I removed the tags at home, it took all of 5 minutes before he chewed little holes in the legs and now they don’t move when you push the squeaker, and it also barely squeaks anymore. It's been five days! She loves it! My dog went suddenly blind about 2 months ago (SARDS) and has been delressed, anxious, and inactive for the most part since then. I bought this ball for my Shih Tzu about a year ago. It is the absolute best toy I have ever bought for her. (she is six years old.) We had to show it to her and push it around for the first day or so, but once she caught on there was no stopping her. She spins it, plays “soccer“ with it, rolls it up under her In an effort to play keep away from me, and chases is it all around the room. She will go on for 15 to 20 minutes if I stay with her. She does want an audience. I read that some people have had trouble with their dogs biting the ball. It seems that they are all large dogs. I think it’s perfect for a small or middle size dog. As long as they can’t get their mouth around it. It seems that it would be a good idea for the company to make a larger ball for large dogs. As for the one I have, we absolutely love it and if anything happened to it today I would run out tomorrow and buy a brand new one. This is the most hilarious toy that I have ever purchased for my dog! He is a very destructive and powerful chewer (the most heavy duty toys are no match for him), so I have only let him play with this supervised, then it gets put away. But so far, he hasn't really even tried to chew on it – which is crazy for him! Usually he gets a new toy and instantly tries to tear it to shreds (so Amazon has been a wallet saver vs the pet stores!!). When this first arrived, I put it on the ground and gave it a kick, and it made some weird noises. My dog gave it a weird look, and looked at me. I told him to go get it, and he ran over and gave it a swat with his paw. It made some more weird noises, which made him jump in the air like a cat – not scared, but excited! He quickly put together that when he hit the ball, it made noise, and he was playing away like a little puppy (he is 5)! He chases it, pounces on it, bats it around, grabs it and tosses it in the air, rolls it down the stairs, it's a hoot! This is a great inside winter toy!
