My most recent purchase from Wal-Mart is the best economically based on price and size. Both products list themselves as remedies; neither is a complete remedy but they are a definite improvement over hairballs and cleaning up those messes. Bought Two of these – One for each grand dog home. Shipped to family member where we have Xmas and “Pup Pup”, the resident parcel inspector and delivery announcer went bonkers when the ball was removed from the shipping box. I would recommend this toy for a smaller dog or one who is not a powerful chewer. I know this is not intended to be a chew toy, but realistically, if you have a medium or large dog, they usually have a tendency to chew any toy you put in front of them. I have an English Pointer mix who normally destroys any toy I give him unless I get it from BullyMake or BarkBox. Unfortunately, neither offer a toy that compares to this one in terms of entertainment for your dog. He absolutely loved this toy so it is a shame that he was able to bite chucks out of it within 20 minutes. I can't find the pieces that he took out of it so I'm waiting to see if he passes them. If not, it will be a visit to the vet. He was so sad when I took it away from him and looked at me with those sad brown eyes. The everlasting treat in this thing seems to live up to the name. It's been several weeks since we got it and my puppy plays with it every day. I have bought these in the past. They seemed to be okay. at least my cat would eat them when I put them in his food. He wouldn't eat them separately. My long haired cat was having a lot of trouble getting the hairball to move. I couldn’t get a vet appointment because of Covid, so I gave this a shot first. I gave him the max doses for an acute case the first day. (He sounded wheezy and not eating as much as he normally did). After a couple hours he seemed to be feeling a little better. I am so glad to have found this product. I have a 14 year old diabetic cat who has fairly long hair and grooms himself regularly. After he had a bad hairball (which at first seemed like he was very sick…wouldn't eat, drink, etc.)…I knew I had to give him something to control the hairballs. I have three cats only one of whom has problems with hairballs. Usually he loves anything that has a seafood flavor, however he took one lick of this stuff the very first day and wouldn't touch it again. I even mixed it with a small amount of cream cheese, which he loves, and he didn't like it. The stuff separates overnight and forms a thick syrup. It's too thick for a cat to drink comfortably and gets everywhere. It does eliminate the hairball, however to get my cat to eat it requires me to hold him down, pry open his mouth, and smear it on his tongue. The Turnip Rubber Throw Toy has been a daily part of our family's life for at least 3 years. We have a Mini Australian Shepherd definitely high energy. He is absolutely A Ruff Wear dog but his pet Mom is not. So his exercise is early morning walks and at least 2 hours of the mighty Turnip Toss everyday. This is our second Turnip the first one was lost in our back yard and has yet to be found. Strong and flexible and small enough to fit a medium size dog's mouth that is more narrow.
