This is a very good toy the dogs like to chew on it. It is made in the USA. It does NOT have any scent. It does NOT have any added flavor(in case you were wondering). It's strong enough for big dog, and gentle enough for small dog. BACKGROUND (if you care to read more) I didn't think much of it when I ordered it. For $5 and change, I'll pretty much try any toy. My dogs are huge and strong, and small and cute. They are rough on EVERY TOY. By comparison the only balls they have not destroyed are Chuck-its Everything else, ripped apart eventually (Kong bears are EXCELLENT, as are the Squirrel pup Tree house here on Walmart). Real bones have been issues, because they have gotten caught on teeth, sometimes splinter, are heavy (so when big dog drops them they can possibly harm small dog. Don't worry. We watch them carefully). So we started buying Bam-bones, and other fake bones instead. Note, we CANNOT use the Nylabone edibles. For some reason those get hurled back up for big dog and small dog doesn't do well with them (never had problems with other dogs and Nylabone.) My dog loves wood-tasting chew bones. These contain wood and are enticing and keeps the dog entertained. They don't wear down quickly. They're not as hard/tough on dog's teeth as antler bones. They don't splinter like some bones and don't come apart like rawhide. My dog chews only tiny pieces at a time; she basically gnaws on it rather than chews. She can take a rawhide apart in a few minutes, but these wood bones last a long time since she only gnaws on them. I like that they come in several sizes. The XS or S may be too small for small breeds, but my 9-lb. minpin chews the S or M size ones on her own. I have had the same sliding door insert for well over 15 years and when I last ordered replacement flaps in 2018 I was warned that the door itself was being discontinued so that in the future, flaps might no longer be available. I looked long and hard to find a replacement flap for an older dog door. My aunt bought a house 8 years ago that a pretty decrepit dog door. The flap was in tatters or just missing chunks. The customer service representative worked extra hard to help me find this classic flap that is the closest fit currently on the market. To my family’s amazement it actually fit into the upper channel that holds the flap in place. The only problem is that it is about half an inch short. The flap is the correct length, but the protrusions that slide into the channel that secure it are half an inch lower than the original flap. We are using some heavy painters tape to make up the difference in length for now, but otherwise it fits great. With outside temperatures in the low twenties and teens the flap has been a blessing. Our dog is 14 and began having accident issues in the house. Talked to our vet's office to see what to do. They suggested either having someone come in during the day to let him out or the dog "diapers". I didn't want to have to pay someone to come in 5 days a week so we tried the disposable dog wrap. I was afraid our dog would not adjust and would try to tear it off, but that didn't happen. He does great with them. I don't have to come home and immediately start looking for spots and cleaning up accidents. The price is great and I got on the automatic order program every two weeks.Blarney2
We have rescued an elderly dog from a hoarding situation. He was neutered at 10 1/2 years old, blind, and we have been unsuccessful at completely potty training him. We use this product a lot when we need to take a break from cleaning up after him, using pads and bed liners. Needless to say, we do a lot of laundry and have to spend a lot of money to keep him and the house clean. It is a lot of work for us so the wraps keep us sane. They work well and absorb wonderfully. HOWEVER…I sent an email to the company asking for a sale price when ordering only because we have to order so often and are having a difficult time making ends meet. Run, run, run to the store to get these for your pups! I have two mixed breed pups aged 5 and 4 and they LOVE these treats. My one pup who is a terrier mix is so picky about everything. Food, treats, you name it! If he doesn’t like it, he turns his little nose up at it and walks away. My other pup is a golden mix and is not picky at all. He eats whatever we put out for him. I know dental care is important for my dogs (two bad Corgis). Once they grew in all their adult teeth I went on a quest to find the perfect dental chew to supplement the occasional brushing. I started where most of us would start – the cheapest chews I could find. Over the next year I tried them all. Some my dogs liked, but I would notice their teeth weren't being cleaned or their breath stunk more than normal. Others they wouldn't touch. Finally, after working my way up the ladder of dog dental chews I got to Greeneis and have not gone back since. They have been using Greenies now for close to two years (Dogs are now 3 and 4). Sure, they still have dog breath but it's not foul like it was with those other dental chews. I also notice very minimal plaque on their teeth, which I keep tabs on regularly. What sealed the deal was when I took them to the vet for a check up the first year they had been getting their Greenies and the vet remarked how excellent their teeth looked. I told her I seldom brushed their teeth anymore but gave them a Greenie each morning, which she nodded in approval. The cons? It's expensive compared to other dental chews, but I can't put a price on my dogs. These are the only ones that seemed to work that they like. I've also noticed some supply issues lately where it can be a pain to find them in the regular size. But most importantly, my dogs love their Greenies. Every morning after their go outside they know it's Greenie time. They walk over to the pantry and keep their eyes focused on it. He won’t eat his dog food unless mixed well with a raw egg, has seasonal allergies up to Ying Yang and up until about 3 years ago wouldn’t touch a dog treat no matter what we tossed at him. We tried regulR milk bones, rawhide, special treats from a “cookie bar” at a pet store, pigs ears (yuck). You name it, we tried it! My neighbor at our new home loves Henry.. she religiously walks him every morning for a good 1-2 hours (depending on weather). She started giving him a Greenie everyday after their walk and now it’s the treat of choice for this household. He LOVES them. They are gone within minutes but that doesn’t bother anyone. I’m just so happy we found something he enjoys. We usually give him one in the morningAnd maybe 1-2 through out the day and I would say two 36oz box of Large treats lasts almost a month. I usually buy 2 boxes at the beginning of the month and they will last me almost to the end… The price really isn’t an issue as again, I don’t buy any other treats or toys for him. I have a Basset Hound and was looking to give him more mental stimulation. Since he has short legs, it’s hard for him to hold onto things, meaning he usually just slides anything I give him all over the floor which = mess everywhere. I didn’t even know this product existed, but I’m so glad I found it because it’s perfect!! I love it ! It the only feeder that slows my Five year old German Shepherd down. Three things, 1.I don’t like that it’s made in China , most things are these days unfortunately. 2. I wish it fit my large raised feeder. 3. The crevices are a little to small in some area for her to get her tongue in so , she’s 86 lbs. so clean up is a bit of a hassle. (I feed her a raw diet) This could be part of what makes her eat slower though 🤷🏼♀️ All in all It’s a great product.Kathleen F.
