I purchased the ThunderShirt for my dog's anxiety over fireworks. I tried to get my dog accustomed to it before putting it on her as the instructions stated but she ran away every time even when it was paired with treats and I was just holding it up. Despite this, I put the ThunderShirt on her the night of the 4th of July fireworks. I also added the calming spray to the area on the shirt as indicated. She was very anxious the whole night. However, the next night I put the shirt on her again and she calmed down quickly despite neighbors setting off fireworks. This was repeated the next night as well. My "little" guy has a life long issue with loud noises that began about eight years ago when he was eleven weeks old and we ventured out in between thunder showers with his mom and dad. Suddenly a stray lightning bolt hit missed us by only a few yards and the accompanying explosive noise terrified my three dogs and myself. The dogs went howling into the house and you can imagine the impact that experience had on a very young pup. I did everything I could think of to acclimate Yulee to sudden loud noises but nothing seemed to work as well as the ThunderShirt we purchased on the Amazon site. He's not as frightened of approaching thunder boomers as he is by gun fire or fireworks probably because he can gradually get into a more relaxed state with advancing storms. Now we also have time to prepare him for the thunder claps and we're relieved that he apparently finds the ThunderShirt comforting. He also likes to have time to curl up in secluded spot where he probably doesn't feel as exposed to any inherent danger – (see the third image). You can tell he's starting to feel threatened in the middle shot where his tail is tucked under his rear and the noise from today's thunderstorms is getting increasingly louder. The only reason the ThunderShirt didn't earn 5 stars from me is that at a svelte145 pounds Yulee was squeezed too much for our liking by the largest size (XXL) offered. We wrapped him in it without over tightening the material to make it uncomfortable while still affording him the gentle pressure and protective aspect of security. The fabric of the ThunderShirt Sport is a lightweight polyester which I felt might be lighter and more breathable than the other models with a poly, spandex and rayon blend. With all the fur this guy has he doesn't need any additional warmth. My dog has anxiety about everything. He's afraid of the usual but he also is scared of mundane things like birds chirping outside, our microwave beeping, etc. When he gets anxious he does self harming behavior. I got this product for my little shorkie who hates the car. She's only 2 months old and we're trying to get her used to go in places. But she shakes, pants, wines and won't be still. Although mine didn't come with the refill as advertised, I am still happy with this product. I purchased it for my parents, who were moving and who have two dogs and a cat. So I thought this might help ease their anxiety in transitioning to a new home. It seems to work well on both the dogs and the cat. The dogs have had a history of peeing inside due to anxiety and since my parents have been using this, they haven't had any accidents. The dogs are both much more relaxed when people come inside for the first time as well. The cat was very frightened of the new place but calmed down when this was plugged in. My girlfriend’s cat has always been uncomfortable during thunderstorms. She is frightened by thunder and will hide even when storms are far away. This product really works! Our new cat just arrived. We decided to keep our new cat after my father-in-law died. She was never there when I visited his home. I had a perfectly pleasant experience with this company, but the product itself has only caused my puppy to act out. I'm not sure why, especially after reading so many positive reviews, but these "calming bites" trigger the opposite behavior in my dog. He has far more energy and it's all destructive/aggressive. Every time I've given him a full tablet, he has stayed up later than usual wanted to play (think midnight instead of 9 PM). So these bites aren't for us. These calming pills are great. We use them for our 60# pit bull who is afraid of fireworks and thunderstorms. If it's around a holiday or we see a storm coming in, we give 2 beforehand and it takes the edge off of her fear. She is still scared and will hide and shake a little but it is much less stressful then it would be without the pills. We will follow up with 2 more later that night if the storms go longer or the fireworks might continue. We also use it for some of our foster dogs- over excitement in the car, before a vet visit or any other really stressful event. I have a Huskie/German shepherd female dog . About 5 months old, 60 lbs. My fur baby is extremely hyperactive . From the time her feet touch the floor she is a go getter . I received these for free in exchange for a review, in fact I think I accidentally received two, but I'm so glad I did because we are going through these quick! We have a 3 yr old, 65lb high energy lab/warmereiner mix and a 2 yr old, 24lb chihuahua/corgi mix, both of which demonstrate major separation anxiety and overexcitement when we have visitors…or clean the house…someone passes by the window….or the wind changes direction, 😊. We’ve tried multiple varieties of calming treaties including CBD, so I feel confident in speaking to the effectiveness of the calming ingredients. These are likely not going to do the trick for extreme anxiety cases unless the dog is really small or sensitive to the ingredients, but otherwise, they work for bringing energy levels down a notch or two. Our lab will overexert herself to the point of injury (because ball is life) and rile up the other one in the process, so we use these a couple of times a day to help them settle. If we give it to them before doing major cleaning, yardwork, having visitors or engaging in other activities that typically trigger their anxiety/overexcitement (demonstrated through excessive panting, pacing, whining and barking), they still act out but seem to tire out quicker from doing so. More importantly, they just love these as a general treat. The smell is incredible. They smell like human-grade peanut butter cookies to the point that you will briefly consider trying one yourself. Beef liver is the first ingredient, with peanut butter flavor, flour and sweet potato also adding to its appeal, at least for our two. I have an 8 month old Lab who loves walks, sniffing outside, and lots of attention during the day (I don't crate her). I was spending more time minding my puppy this summer than I was on getting work done without interruption. We use Quiet Moments for an 80 lb Catahoula Leopard dog. Prescription meds from the vet made her aggressive so we tried Quiet Moments. I purchased the ThunderShirt for my dog's anxiety over fireworks. I tried to get my dog accustomed to it before putting it on her as the instructions stated but she ran away every time even when it was paired with treats and I was just holding it up. I recently adopted 2 retired greyhounds and noticed my female would hide and pant before and during rainstorms. I got one of these beds (36” XL) for my pup who has separation anxiety. When she isn’t sleeping in bed with me, she is snuggled into her faux fur bed. I brought it to my parent’s place when I had a trip and, surprisingly to all of us, my dad’s 10 yr old Anatolian Shepard Mix (who was born in a cave in Afghanistan) fell in love with it. The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. I thought the fluffy fabric would be thicker but it is a bit thin for my taste. It does seem to be well constructed though. Do not stick this size in a large home dryer as it is too big and the heat will matte the fluffy strands (almost like melting) from the heat because it cannot move around enough. GET THIS!!! I was hesitant to buy due to the price but it is worth every penny. Our rescue puppy had severe separation anxiety and would cry in his crate every night, throughout the night – this completely stopped after we paired him with his Snuggle Buddy. He LOVES his Buddy. A couple of user tips that worked for us:- after washing the Snuggle Buddy, we lightly rubbed our worn socks on it. Why? Bc our socks are an easy way for our dog to have our scent on his Buddy. This might help those whose dogs won’t take to the Buddy. Our puppy was apprehensive at first, but after we rubbed our socks on it, he immediately plopped down on it and slept. Attached is the picture of him that night :)- we *only* give him the Buddy in his crate, when he’s going to bed or will be crated for some time. He has a Pavlovian response and will automatically go into his crate as soon as he sees the Buddy; this might help some dogs with crate training. We also only give it to him in his crate because he tried shredding it, thinking it’s a toy, when he’s taken it out of the crate. We eliminated that by removing and putting away his Buddy every time we wake him up or let him out of his crate.- I bought bulk Hot Hands hand warmers as refills for heat. Get the small ones made for pockets; the body ones are too large and emit too much heat IMO. The pocket ones are perfect and last 12ish hours.- I also play soothing anti-anxiety dog music or put on a dog music channel from YT (they have ones like a walk on the beach or forest, with dogs in the background). Honestly, I don't know how well this product really works. I brought home my toy/miniature poodle mix on June 8 at age 8 weeks and 1 day, and since he was the first littermate separated, I expected it to be bad. I had a 10 hour drive home, and while he did cry and whine a bit, it wasn't too bad. He cuddled with his snuggle puppy at first, but not too much after that. He seemed to prefer beating it up and pushing it out of the spot I had put it in so he could sit there instead. He still beats it up a bit, but he also drags it back to bed after a while, so maybe he does like it.I crate trained him for overnight only (he has a large playpen for the daytime for the short amounts of time I need to be out of the house), and he adjusted quite quickly. I think I got lucky in the dog temperament lottery, though, and am not really sure I can attribute his quick adjustment to crate training to the snuggle puppy. I turn the beating heart feature on every night just in case it is working, but it's hard to say how effective it is. The first 4 to 5 nights I had him home, he cried and whined for the first 20-30 minutes he was put in the crate. Then I would take him outside after 2 hours for potty and put him straight back in and the crying/whining would start again. It was a very sleepless week until I realized that he could hold it for 4 hours at a time and we only have to get up once a night.After the first week, he adjusted to his crate and has never had an accident in there. He doesn't cry at all and is very reluctant to come out at 4 in the morning when it's potty time. I would say that if you have the extra money, get this product because it definitely doesn't hurt to have it. I really do think it's more about being present for your pup's adjustment period and not sticking him in the crate too often than it is about the efficacy of this product. I will say though that I don't use the snuggle puppy in his playpen, and he does still cry a lot in there, so maybe it is effective!
I've only had this Snuggle Puppy for a couple days so I can't comment on durability or anything. I suspect the only issue I'll potentially run into that could cause issues is how well the puppy holds up to washing. I didn't buy this for a puppy. I actually bought it for newly hatched ducklings in a brooder. Sometimes the time between hatchings leaves me with a single duckling for a day or two. Putting a baby with an adult duck isn't a safe option so I was trying to find an alternative. Stuffed animals help some but I got the feeling they really wanted a heartbeat to calm them. They may have feathers instead of fur but they're still babies!So far I'd say it's duckling approved! After snuggling with regular stuffed animals in his brooder, Eggwyn would peep hysterically for someone to pay attention to him. After putting him near Snuggle Puppy he's finally settled down and sleeping quietly. Ducklings poop a LOT so I know Snuggle Puppy will need to be laundered frequently if he stays with the ducklings. Hopefully he holds up.Edit: Snuggle Puppy survived living with 22 newly hatched ducklings in a brooder, staggered hatching over the course of several weeks. He got pooped on a few times and washed perfectly in the washing machine. I now have two ducks who imprinted on us (didn't have ducklings their age to imprint on), and since they're human ducks they sleep in the bedroom. They sleep under my bed with their Snuggle Puppy every night. About once a week or so Snuggle Puppy will get pooped on, and duck poop is gross (big duck poop is bigger and grosser than duckling poop), so Snuggle Puppy gets tossed in the laundry with the ducks' bedding. He's holding up amazingly well.After seeing how much our ducklings loved their Snuggle Puppy I decided to buy one for a friend as a puppy shower gift. They tell everyone how much their puppy loves her Snuggle Puppy. She sleeps with it in her crate every night, which means they can sleep too.Lesson learned? No matter what species your critter baby is, everyone will love a Snuggle Puppy! I only wish it was easier to get replacement hearts. I'm worried I'll forget to pull the heart out before washing puppy one of these days which would surely kill it.

This is my first puppy/dog ever. I have a 7wk old Aussie/Lab mix who gets terrible separation anxiety when left alone (in a room or in a crate). He's pretty chill otherwise but, during crate training, he will whine and scratch at the crate to be let out, which becomes a challenge with my 430am work schedule. I was skeptical of trying these, so I first tried just YouTube lullabies and sleeping beside him but both those only worked temporarily. I finally cracked and bought these a few days ago…he's now sleeping through the night and is out the whole time until I get home. These things are amazing. Our 2 dogs are fine with the taste and size. Minus one star cause my yorkie doesn't seem to get calm after taking it (he usually gets overly anxious before a walk). I do enjoy this product as a whole. Though, I just don't know how well it works. Have a high energy and pretty nervous Dachshund that I give this to daily. I don't see too much change in his behavior as a whole, but it may take more time perhaps. He really enjoys the supplements though! So, that's what matters the most to me is that he likes them. I got the calm one for testing. I have siberian huskies four of them. they are very hyper and like to do what they want instead of what you tell them. well I have one who is needy and who gets anxious if we leave the house. I tried this product on her and did not see any difference in her. I don't know if it because of the breed of dog or they just do not work. they smelled like flowers and she would happily eat them but like I said no calming effect.hollie.b
