I bought my first about 20 years ago, then shortly after bought another. My dogs passed, so I gave them to a neighbor, which still has them in use. I recently got a medium breed puppy, so I went and got another since I had such good service out of the first two. I would highly recommend to anyone with a pet outside. We get some snow where I live and my dogs always stayed warm and dry.
I mistakenly bought the Large doghouse for dogs up to 90 lbs. But my 5 month old coonhound was too large for it. I returned it and ordered the X-large doghouse and it is the right size. Unfortunately, the doghouse was broken in two places, probably due to the way you ship. These doghouses are delivered without any protection and will crack or break when sliding into anything. I will have to repair it to hold it together since I don't trust you are able to send another one without the same issues.Daniel

This igloo dog house is absolutely the best thing on the market. Heavy, durable and withstands high winds, rain, and hail. I haven't been able to test in cold temperatures yet as I just received this recently. However, I have no doubts it will definitely hold up. I waited to give a review because I wanted to test out the weather conditions to truly give my 100% honest opinion. Does not come assembled but it's an easy process. The large is quite large. My dog is 60lbs and has plenty of room left in it to move adound. Provides a great shelter. It is constructed very well. You will definitely not be disappointed with this product! Those who have dogs that live outside this would be perfect for. Very well insulated and lining with straw in the winter will make it that much more insulated. We live in Pennsylvania so our winters can be brutal with sometimes 3 seasons in 1 day. I got this igloo-shaped dog house for our Shih Tzu which is 20 lbs. I got this to keep her cool in the warm months when we sit on our patio. It came in two separate pieces in a large box. The top part of the dog house has 4 brackets which easily snaps to the bottom half for quick assembly. I assembled it in our home and needed to carry it out onto our patio through the front of the house since it was too wide to fit through our sliding door. It is surprisingly lightweight for its dimensions, so it is easy to carry to different locations. The top of the house has a round vent with a paw print which can be turned to open or close it as needed for ventilation. Because of its design, there’s room for movement. The smaller opening in the front protects it from the elements such as wind and sun; although rain did get in through that front opening and not the vent. It disassembles quickly for cleaning or even to transport away from home! Although it is a large house, I feel that it is suitable for a medium size dog so that it can have enough room to move comfortably. Once assembled, my dog was confused and leery, which is to be expected since it’s something new! I gently introduced her to the inside and she was able to move around comfortable until she nested on her bedding. I highly recommend this house for any small to med sized pet to be used in the summer to keep them cool and winter to keep them warmer. Yet because it lacks insulation. I would not recommend it for permanent outside shelter in the winter. Additionally, I did notice that it got hot on the patio and thus I had to move it to a shady area to avoid overheating my dog. The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. We have an outside cat that is wild and will not let anyone close to her — we have "fixed" her and feed her but wanted to make her as comfortable as we could with the cold weather. My dog is crazy for this bed. I have now purchased 3. One for my bedroom, living room and downstairs office. During the winter I put a quilt in them and the summer when it is warm I take them out. I have 3 regular beds for her that she will not use. She is just 1 year old and a 70 pound English cream retriever who loves to spend a great deal of back time and this cot is perfect. Love this dog bed. I have a 80lb lab and I bought the large. I thought that it looked small but I put it together it was fine. My lab loves it. The mesh bottom attracted me to this bed because he swims and lays down on his bed soaking wet. It dries quick and it’s easy to wash.Kristin
I am so glad that we got to try this cot out! I have two dogs, a Jack Russell and a chow chow. My dogs did not want anything to do with this dog bed the first day and a half. But then we got the idea to put a fuzzy blanket on it and now both my dogs love it! I can’t blame them for wanting a blanket though, because it is winter in Minnesota currently! My plan for the summer is to put this dog bed outside so I am very excited about that! I think this will be my dogs new favorite spot to lay and look outside. I feel like I needed to only give 4 stars because I needed to add a blanket before my dogs were interested in it, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new dog bed/cot!
My dog loves this cot and I think it’s pretty great too, especially since she loves it. The only change I would recommend to the company though is for the stuffing in the bolster to be bagged so that the bolster cover could easily be washed. My dog loves her bolster, but when she gets drool on it, it’d be nice if the stuffing was self-contained inside to be pulled out easily for the cover to be washed quickly as it says it’s machine washable.Jerseygalrocker

Our dog went through a phase of trying to come into our bed almost every hour during the night but since we got the snoozer, he has been staying there till morning again! It takes a little persuasion to get him in there but once he’s in and cosy, he settles in! He’s a small Jack Russell sized dog (8kg) so we went for the Large based on the reviews of the small being quite small – he likes to sprawl! It works but would have opted for a Medium size if there was the option as it does take up a lot of space… worth it for a good nights sleep though! I have the non orthopaedic bed which has a thicker mattress , I was disappointed with the mattress of the more expensive orthopaedic bed so emailed Snoozer to return the item with the intention of reordering . I have returned the bed which costs £14 as it is a stipulation of snoozer to send it via recorded mail, I’ve emailed them on two separate occasions to ask if they have received the bed and about my refund but no response. However I am getting emails frequently to leave a review!? I would like a refund in a much better customer centred way as these products are lovely but expensive and the customer care doesn’t seem to reflect the company imagesarah T
This is the second Cozy Cave I have purchased, the original is 4 years old now and still as good as new but I have 2 chihuahuas who both love it and, although they can both fit in it, my little girl isn’t fond of sharing! Now they have one each. I have purchased other brands of snuggle beds which get some use but the Cosy Cave is the favourite, used on a daily basis. My foster pit bull, Blue, is obsessed with his new bed. It arrived yesterday around 5pm and four hours later he was still curled up in it sound asleep. Normally, when I sit down on the couch at the end of the workday, Blue comes catapulting across the room to snuggle with me. Not now! I'm honestly kind of shocked! So I guess my advice is: don't buy this product if you like snuggling with your dog. I ordered a size larger than I thought I needed, just to be safe. Some reviewers said that the "pockets" for other products were too tight, which made me nervous. I can't compare this to other Snoozer beds, but the "pocket" on the rectangle bed is really ample. If I were ordering again, I would go down a size to the medium. Blue is about 45 lbs and 18" tall at his shoulder, and he has enough room to fully stand up inside the large bed's pocket if he wants to. The product is described as being just 8" tall in the large size, but I measured the opening from the top of the bed to the center of the hoop that holds the pocket open at 14-16". Blue loves this bed so much that I'm going to have to buy a second one — one for my bedroom and one for downstairs.Alyssa H
Our dogs love this bed! We got the XL because we have 2 GSPs, one of who is still a puppy. She loves to snuggle in the cave while her brother prefers to sleep on top. Either way there is plenty of room for two! The cover is very washable. The puppy has had almost daily accidents on the cover (sometimes more than once a day) and the cover has gone through the wash quite a few times over the last two weeks. It is holding up nicely. The dog bed looks great. The material is nice and it is firm with a lot of filling. I thought the firmness would be great for my 15 lb dog but it is a bit too firm. She checked it out and tried to get comfortable on it but she just couldn't. She sat too high up on it and just didn't look right. She stayed on a few minutes and then got off it. I love this bed for my pups! They love to cuddle, play and sleep in it! They love to sprawl out on the orthopedic bedding! I love the design of it, I feel like it looks fancier than most dog beds do, without sacrificing their comfort! I really like this bed and so does my dog. It’s an orthopedic style bed that is very well padded in a hexagon shape. I got the medium sized bed since I have a 30 pound medium sized dog. I wish I had got the large size since her legs hang over the edge when she stretches out on it. However, my dog likes to curl up most of the time and it is perfect for that. I really like that it has a removable cover that can be washed and it has skid resistant dots on the bottom that prevents it from sliding. I like the way it has sides all around it which my dog likes to cozy in to when sleeping but when she is just laying around on it she will rest her head on the sides of it. It has an orthopedic egg crate foam in the base of the bed which I love because my dog has some arthritis in her rear legs. It has a handle on the side for carrying it. I bought this for my dog for a backpacking trip. It is small and lightweight. I inflated it by blowing into the "inflate" hole and made sure it was sealed. Within an hour it was mostly deflated. For the remainder of the week it served as a nice soft suggestion for where my dog should sleep. I inflated it every night and every morning it was completely flat.kate
Purchased so that my 100 pound Akita would quit stealing our Static V’s from us while we were sleeping. The bed is a more durable material than the Static V Insulated and he hasn’t managed to puncture it with his claws. The cover is durable and feels comfortable. The size is just large enough for his 100 pound frame, he hangs off of it when he stretches out but fits nicely when he’s curled up. Although I haven’t slept on it the dog says that it’s comfortable and he prefers it to sleeping on the hard ground. I have a 40 lbs border collie mix. The medium bed is just a little smaller/ thinner than I was hoping for, but I think it will work for camping. My dog will lay on the ground, but she will usually try to squeeze onto my sleeping pad with me as the night progresses. Others have mentioned the soft cover is just a tad too small for the bed when the dog bed is inflated. When inflated and with or without the cover, the bed makes the loud ‘crunch’ sound that many inflated pads make when my dog lays on it or moves around on it. I set it up in the bedroom to introduce my dog to it. She is a bit timid and hasn’t warmed up to it yet. I haven’t seen her lay on it except when I tell her to go lay on it. I’ve sat on it after blowing it up and it is ok/ fine. Should give her just barely enough height to keep her off the hard ground for the night.Joseph
