My dogs are tiny and one has very little teeth (rescue who lost most of them by age 4). They seem to like the taste of the treats, but they are not soft. I half one of them widthwise between the 2. But, I have to cut that in half lengthwise because, otherwise, they can't chew them. First, to clarify I purchased the pumpkin/ ginger Tummy chews ( not joint support) for my older dog with reflux. I wanted to to taper her down from pepcid and wanted a product that contained some ginger that was not too overpowering so she might accept ( she can be picky). She also has problems chewing. She's 25#, I cut one chew into quarters and give her one with each meal. I have elimated one pepcid dose and so far so good! She's still on a bedtime pepcid along with slippery elm ( her reflux worse at nite,. commonly the case) in time I may try to elim..the pm pepcid, but for now I'm happy she seems to be doing well with minimal reflux..The chews are not real soft but when they are cut they are not difficult for her to chew, they sort of crumble easily and I either toss in her food or offer as a treat. My 12 year old Yorkie suddenly starting losing the contents of her bladder during the night. The vet suggested checking for a UTI. I did some research and found that not only would that be expensive and require a course of antibiotics, many people found that the dog's UTI would come right back after they were done. My 12 year old Yorkie suddenly starting losing the contents of her bladder during the night. The vet suggested checking for a UTI. I did some research and found that not only would that be expensive and require a course of antibiotics, many people found that the dog's UTI would come right back after they were done. Since she wasn't in pain when urinating and there was no sign of blood, I thought I would try apple cider vinegar first which evidently works very well. It didn't help so next I tried Tinkle Tonic which did help, but not completely. I called the company which makes it and they suggested using the Tinkle Tonic concurrently with the Leaks No More. Voila, no more leaking! When the TT was finished, I just kept using the Leaks No More and it worked fine by itself. Two caveats, you have to keep giving it every day and by itself. About 6 months ago, my cat, who has feline leukemia, stopped eating, was constantly vomiting, sleeping, and cringed whenever I touched her. This very expensive rx food doesn’t even have a real meat profile and the kibbles are huge. My yorkie couldn’t handle the size of the pieces so now we are stuck with a 17lb bag of food. Chicken by product being the first ingredient isn’t impressive either, that means is no real meat in the food. I have found low glycemic food with real meats being the 1 & 2 ingredient, and by product being 3rd, for cheaper. Overall not impressed for the price. I rescued my dog Charlie Brown on March 26th of 2006 the vet had estimated he was about 8 weeks old. Just after turning 10 years old this year he was ill, had lost almost 20lbs (was 75lbs) and couldn't keep food or water down, I was afraid he would not make it. Thank God for this food, but it is much cheaper from the vet. He is gaining muscle and looking much better. My 7 week old tri color bully has vomited in his third day at our house, I googled and saw it said it’s normal for pups to do this sometimes, no worries. Two days later early morning(6:50am EST) he vomited then about 10 minutes later he pooped out about 8 long worms, found they were Roundworms. I immediately went to Meijer and grabbed two boxes of this 7 Way De-Wormer for Small Dogs and gave him a tablet which he happily chomped down. He passed loads of dead worms in each stool that day(like twice). The next morning his belly wasn’t bloated anymore but he wouldn’t eat much but drank water. By the evening he was felling great and back running through the house, he passed about 3-4 live worms in 2 of his 3 stools that day, the third stool had no worms! On the third day there were no more worms in his stool but I gave him the other tablet because I saw a very good vet recommend one deworming tablet day one, a second on day three then again in two weeks. It’s day 6 and he’s been worm free for going on 3 days! It says not to use til 12 weeks on the box, however if your pup is over 6 lbs then I think its okay to use. My little girl is a pit and catahoula mix and shes only about 7-8 weeks old and she handled the dewormer very well. She passed a HUGE tapeworm 🤢 we decided to deworm her due to tape worm segments being passed every so often which is absolutely gross. It took a little over 24 hours for her to pass everything. This is the single most effective and affordable dewormer for dogs. I will recommend this dewormer to everyone and use it for any puppies that I have in the future. Liquid dewormer from the feed store has NOTHING on this stuff and my puppy wanted to eat more of the tablet so I guess it was good. Seriously, get this for your pet you will not regret it.Sara
These worked right away for my 12 pound 1 year old dog. It took overnight to see the results. I snuck it into a chewy treat before bedtime and he didn’t notice it at all since they are super small. After receiving only 1 of the 2 pills (give second pill 2-3 months later for lasting results), he didn’t have anymore worms coming out of his poop and randomly out of his butt. He was constipated for about two weeks to a month and I don’t know if it had anything to do with the worms or the pill but he’s never had that issue before. It was a pretty quick fix by switching out his food temporarily for soft/watery food. Do not think twice about getting it for them as it is life threatening to wait too long for a vet visit. I do not usually leave reviews but maybe our story would help someone else find answers for their pet. Our Pyrenees mix has suffered terribly with allergies. He had red staining around his mouth, paws and backside, would shake his head constantly, scratching at his ears, and was licking himself raw. The vet treated his inflamed ears, prescribed drops for them and recommended switching food from beef/chicken/grain to grain-free/lamb. We also tried other supplements and medications. Although the drops help for a day or two, none of these changes brought permanent or lasting relief. At 3 chews 2x/day (he is 100#'s), we are half-way through our first bag of Canine Skin and Allergy Supplement and his behavior has changed from restlessness and constant itching to calm, relaxed, sleeping out in the sun. He has stopped shaking his head and I have not needed to put the steroid drops in his ears for over a week. Adding the supplement was the only thing we changed. I don't think we are 'there yet' and want to try another bag but I do feel this is something worth trying. It is easy to use and he seems to enjoy his twice daily 'treat'.Lifeizgood
My smooth coat collie had hot spots starting on the top part of her back toes last year. I gave her a supplement that seemed to make her lose bladder control. I stopped the supplement and all was good and the hair had grown back by then. Guessing this is a summer seasonal thing now as she got the same hair loss and pink on top of back toes this year. Used same supplement as last year and same loss of bladder control happened so I took her off it right away. She's fine now but still had to deal with the allergy toe hair loss thing. Bought the canine skin and allergy and it works great. Hair is back, no licking and no bladder control loss. She likes the supplements too. For her weight she should get 2 AM and 2 PM but I only give her 1 AM and 1 PM as a maintenance and still working great. My jack Russell liked them too but package says to keep them fresh longer, keep in fridge but that made them hard and he didn't like them as much then. His dosage was half a piece morning and evening. He was scratching a little at beginning of summer and this stuff worked for him with that too. I would definitely store in fridge if you have a little dog because the bag will last awhile and may get moldy. I was putting next days serving in sealed container outside fridge so not so hard for the little dog. My Border Collie, Riata, had a serious reaction to fleas. I treat for fleas often, but the flea load was heavier than usual this year. It was springtime and we had a ton of rain which means a ton of grasses and then a ton of mice. The mice brought the fleas. I thought she was just shedding heavily and then noticed that she was quickly going bald. On her chest and back she started looking greasy too with several small pustules here and there. I bought a medicated shampoo thinking it was some form of fungus or bacteria, but then I started seeing these big fleas while I was bathing her. I immediately gave her a topical flea treatment after her bath. Between the medicated baths and flea treatments she looked a lot better, but 6 months later she still had some flaky skin and slightly greasy chest. I ordered the Santa Cruz Allergy Chews and within 2 weeks I saw a big calming in the redness of her skin on her chest and the flakiness is going away. Her coat looks the best it has in 2 years! My senior dog's liver values have been elevated due to medications and age. SAMe and Milk Thistle were recommended and we have been using both by Vita Pet Life. My dog likes the taste and eats them as a treat. I have two Norwegian Elkhounds, 10 going on 11 years old. They've been together their whole lives, and show no signs of slowing down. Despite that, I have taken notice to them tumbling a bit- they run too fast! They run into each other, etc..This breed especially is prone to issues with their hips and joints. I have tried supplements over the years but most seem to not agree with their tummies. I am happy to say these GlycoFlex have NOT upset their stomachs at all. I see no negative side effects and my babies love them. They've been running around, jumping up and down, and I've seen no trips, falls or stumbles. My dog has the large dog supplements not the small dog as she is a labrador .My dog has severe joint issues bilateral hip and knee displacia and has to go to hydrotherapy twice a week .She now has 2 fake hips and 2 fake knees so she needs all the help she can get so we give her these . We decided to give these dog supplements a try along side her pain reliefs medication after her dog consultant told us after all her operations that something like this might be beneficial to her , she has been on this brand a while now . They must taste ok as she eats them like treats and does not spit them out like her other medication she has to take daily . In all honesty I have not seen a improvement but she has severe displacia so no amount of these tablets are going to fix her but we have not seen a degeneration in her bones and she is now 8 so maybe they are doing a little to help her stopping getting worse .If your dog is just getting old and has arthritis you may find that these will help keep your furbabies joints supple .I would recommend them like I said she's not got worse so that's a plus .I find them affordable compared to some of these kind of products so I would say give them a go
My 7-yr-old cat has been taking GlycoFlex Ultimate Strength Joint Support for several months now and loves it; it's her morning treat. Although I was not previously seeing signs of joint discomfort in her, I suspect they would show up at some point. I, therefore, chose to start her on this product prior to any issues. The chews in whole form are a bit tough, although cats with healthy teeth could handle breaking them down. My cat has a fine set of choppers, but I felt she would enjoy this snack more if it was smaller pieces, so I dice up the chew into six or seven small bits, add just a smidge of water, warm it in the microwave (3 seconds), and serve. Oh, I forgot to tell you, my cat is spoiled :-). She enjoys this treat and licks the bowl clean. I highly recommend this product.

My German shepherd is 13 years old and past few years she's had such a hard time with her left leg. It started even given out on her and she would fall, she got to where it was a battle for her to even stand up at times. Completely broke my heart. Well I took her to the vet and they recommended this product highly after finding out she has severe arthritis. After about 2 weeks of her taking it she goes outdoors with me and actually RUNS around now. I cried and cried with happiness , I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this product.Ashley Clements
Our six-year old, combination golden retriever/black lab was a trooper. Between my wife and me it would put on 5 to 10 miles/day. About a year ago it started developing a limp, which worsened over time until he couldn't run and was reluctant to walk more than a couple of miles. Our vet tried two different anit-inflamatories before discovering it was not his paw but shoulder instability (uneven gap in joint). They couldn't do anything for it, and refered us to a surgeon in the nearest city. She looked at the x-ray and said she couldn't help, and suggested we try the University of MN clinic 5 hours away, saying they "may" be able to do something. Out of desperation, I figured I would try the Glycoflex 3 our vet gave us. After about two weeks the limp was noticeably better, and a little more than 2 months out he's been limp free for the last month. He's back to no limitations on exercising. It's fantastic to know he's no longer in pain, and we have our old Ruckus back. If I were reading this I would think it too good to be true because the science on glucosamine is quite ambiguous in humans. Now I'm all in on this stuff; I just ordered two bottles.borealguy
I received a sample of these Glycoflex plus for cats through the viewpoints sampling program. Prior to receiving these supplements, I was not familiar with the brand or supplements. I have never previously used any kind of supplement for my cat. But I was excited to try these out because my cat Momo is getting older and I liked how the package claimed the promote joint health in cats. I gave Momo the recommended dosage on the package. He seemed to like the taste and ate it with no problem. He begged for more but I gave him only the recommended dosage so they must taste like treats. Momo has been taking them for a few days now so I can't really determine the long term effects of these supplements on his joints but I have not noticed any negative side effects so that's a plus. I will continue to give these to him because my vet said he showed some sensitivity in his joints (probably from being overweight most of his life prior to me adopting him). So I would definitely buy these again if they continue to work so I can keep Momo healthy for as long as possible. I would recommend these to other cat owners and feel like they are great for older cats especially!Jennifer S
