This kennel looks great in your home. It’s much more decorative than a traditional crate. And for the price of why not? Well that’s easy. It’s not as functional as a traditional kennel. I read reviews before buying this, and a lot of those reviews stated that their dogs tore this kennel apart. But I thought my dog shouldn’t have a problem with that because she is crate trained. As a matter of fact she went into her old kennel willingly without anyone asking all of the time. It was her safe space I think. Never tried to break out. But the thing with this kennel is the material that it is made out of is weak and if you’re a pitbull, very soft. My dog chewed the bars out with ease and the fake wood was like bubblegum to her. After reading all of the other reviews I thought for sure that my escape artist husky would not be able to get out of this. And boy was I wrong, it took her a total of about 10 minutes to figure out how to pick the locks and let herself out. I had to wrap a big steel chain with a pad lock on it to prevent it from being opened. For the price, save your money for a better kennel thats actually going to do the job as advertised. I believe this is the best crate out there. It is flat on the bottom, not hurting your dog, it comes with a bed liner, it has plenty of doors to open for options, and the best is that it folds up and rolls away when you need it. Actually the best part is that it opens like a garage door on one of the bigger sides… leaving a very easy to use and comfortable access for your dog. I purchased the crate to train my mini Aussie pup and to have as a quiet place to retreat and sleep. She loves it!! It was simple to setup and easy to fold down for travel. I really like having wheels to move it to clean my floor, rolls easily. Seems to be solid and sturdy. The latches to lock the doors, slide and lock which is nice. I just bought this kennel for my dog, it lasted 3 months. When it arrived I noticed right away that the quality was not as sturdy as our other kennels. The wires/ bars are thinner than what I would say is the norm. My other 2 are definitely thicker. This is already falling apart. 2 small bars are broken off and the bottom bar under the door detached from the frame leaving this basically useless and not safe for my dog anymore. There is no option for a replacement or discount to replace. Save your money and get a different brand.Sjm81
Cage came in a beat up box taped together, which could have been shipping company, but that's doubtful, read on. When we unpacked it appeared the cage had been used. The metal tray was bent on all 4 corners, we had to duct tape corners so it wouldn't cut our dog. The end side with door was so bent we had to get pliers and try to unbend just to get door to latch. It is still not flush. One of the bars on same door side was not even attached on one side, also had to duct tape that so it wouldn't poke into my dog. All the latches and where cage attaches together the metal was rubbed down to bare metal. I was in a jam and needed to use this so I have not contacted company but will NEVER buy from them again.Susan
I am a professional dog trainer who deals mainly with aggression problems in large breeds. Would I put a clients dog in this kennel…never…..it is not made for that purpose. It is rather flimsy, and noisy. However, it was just what I needed for my gigantic German Shepherd dog, as it provided the space he needed, and I knew he would never try to escape, fall over on it, collapsing the sides, or walk through the walls. Buy it only for crate trained animals, and dogs who will not test boundaries. It is not suitable for pups who are active. If you want a holding cell for a dog who just wants to lay around, and have a safe denning experience, this could be your crate.havahnjoel

Quality product at an awesome price. This crate is heavy duty enough for my 2 year old, 160lb Great Dane. She is able to stretch out and stand up. When she does her pawing at the bedding at bed time it doesn't shake or rattle. Its easy to open and close. The Vibrant Life Pet Kennel came in a box unassembled. It took 5 minutes to put it together. The top section plastic feels a bit flimsy, but the bottom portion seems to easily hold the weight of 15 pounds. It is roomy for a small dog and provides a safe space and easy transport. The top looks like it has compartments which would be nice to store paperwork and a leash, but these do not open. I believe this is a missed opportunity to add a convenient and needed feature.
