This crate was amazing for the first couple of weeks. Then our small mixed breed power chewer with separation anxiety was able to chew 2 large holes in the side of it. He's only spent about 40 hours total in it. I dont work, so he only spends a couple of hours at a time on the weekends in it. The rest of the time, its just his "bedroom". One of the holes he chewed is large enough foe him to stick his head through. Looks like we will be looking into the gray ones with the really small holes and military grade plastic. IF YOUR PUP IS A CHEWER AND HAS ANXIETY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CRATE. THEY WILL BE ABLE TO EAT EIGHT THROUGH IT. I wish we had saved the money used on this crate and put it towards the other type. Metal crates don't work either. I am extremely pleased with how handy the Mobile Dog Gear Week Away Bag is. Even though mine is a small size, it is plenty big for a larger dog and is actually the perfect size for our 4 month old Golden Retriever. The collapsible bowls are high quality and plenty large enough for a full meal for a large dog at 2 cups. The storage containers also hold 5 cups of food! The bag is lined and insulated and was able to keep our high value chicken training treats cool with a single ice pack. Very easy to carry with the short or long handle. Very well made. If I had one suggestion, it would be to include a water bottle. Luckily we had a good reusable bottle, but that would be a nice addition.
First of all, this bag is cute! The ID tag is bone-shaped and the fabric inside has a paw print pattern. Secondly, it's functional as well. The food bags easily held enough food for one week away with my large dog. The collapsible dishes are easy to clean. And the placemat came in handy. If this were two inches wider, or even one inch wider, I would have given it a 5 star review (the medium size would have been too big…). My 10-lb dog likes to sleep on top of her crate and this one is *much* better constructed than any other soft-sided crate I've tried – the tubular construction is sturdy and seems well-suited for repeated jumping-on-top. The inside, while a little tight, even for a small dog, seems comfortable enough for her. She usually scratches the liner pads to pieces quickly, but isn't doing that with this one. Overall, a good value and a well-made crate.

I have a pretty picky kitty when it comes to carriers. He does not like hard plastic or metal bars. I got this Sherpa® Travel Original Deluxe™ Airline Approved Pet Carrier for up to 22 pounds to try and see if he liked it. I use it mainly for trips to the vet or visiting friends. It comes folded up (so you can store it under a bed easily) but is easy to fold out and put together. It comes with a stability board and faux lambswool liner that easily attach to the bottom with hook and loop strips. Also included is a shoulder strap. It has two openings: one of the top and one at the end. Both has zippers that lock. So kitty cannot escape. The is one small pocket on the back that could hold papers, or small toys or treats. Mesh sides provide plenty of light and air so kitty does not feel contained. I left my carrier out on the floor for him to investigate. He eventually went in and lay down. I did a test run just over to a friends house in my car. The carrier fit easily on my backseat. I was able to loop the shoulder strap over the headrest and also put the seat belt through the luggage band located on the rear side of the carrier. Kitty rode safely and for the most part, happy. He lay down and did not repeatedly circle. I love that the liner comes and out and is washable and that the entire carrier is washable. I love that the carrier is lightweight as Kitty weighs almost 20 pounds. I love that this carrier can be wedged into tighter spaces as it has a flexible frame.daisymae9624
I initially really liked this product. Its lightweight easy to carry. I kept it in my cat's comfort zone so he wouldn't be intimidated by it and he enjoyed laying in it and he relaxed quietly when being carried around. However it only took one 15 minute ride to the vet before this 11mo old cat became nervous and ripped it open at the seam. The hole was big enough to stick its head through and would have only gotten larger it I wasn't holding it shut (while driving). The product was listed for pets up to 16 pounds and my cat was not that big. The product does promote a 1 year warranty, however fine print states ***Worldwise will not accept the return of a bag that has carried an animal (yes you read that correct). SHERPA warranty covers manufacturing defects only. Pet damage of any kind is NOT covered under warrant. A copy of the original sales receipt is required to submit a SHERPA warranty claim.furbabiesSandO
I purchased two of these Original Sherpa bags over 20 years ago and have used them until just recently. My kitty passed away and i just got two new kittens, so decided to buy two more of these bags new and donate the old originals, although there was nothing at all wrong with them. Just thought it was time to buy new. The old ones lasted many years of traveling every month on planes, in cars, hotels, and definitely got more use than the average pet I’m sure! They held up all these years without even a rip or tear, even being shoved underneath airplane seats for years! HOWEVER, I wish I did not get rid of them. The new ones I just purchased do NOT by any means measure up to the old ones unfortunately. The saying holds true, that they don’t make things like they used to! The quality of this bag has gone way downhill since the ones I purchased many years ago! I cannot see these lasting anywhere near as long as my old ones. They are making them very cheaply now, and they did away with the extra compartment that was in between the back zippered one and the bag. There was another wide compartment about one inch wide, which was so convenient. I used to put my kitties food, dishes, and treats in there. It was perfect for travel! They unfortunately omitted that compartment now. The old ones also came with the luggage tag attached which identifies your pets name, owners name, and contact information. That is very important to keep on the bag! So unfortunately I would not really recommend this brand anymore.Nan A

My GSD pup is crate trained. I purchased my first PetMate plastic crate in 2004 and never had an issue. When my GSD got too big for his wire kennel, I upgraded the size and got a PetMate Ultra (for its airline approved status). For three solid nights and any day time crate use highly distressed my dog. No one in the house slept. He was quite agitated (barking, clawing at the crate bottom, etc). He could not sleep or lay down in the crate. On the fourth night, I put him in the crate with the same result. Ten minutes later, I took out the old 2004 crate (flat bottom, no injection mold markers) and popped him in it. He sat down and gave the biggest sigh. I finally understood he had been in distress because of the new crate. On inspection, I discovered these round things under the bottom, pressed into them with my forearms and immediately felt the pressure points/pain. Who thought this design was a good idea? Did PetMate even try it? I beg designers to sit in it, lie down in it, press their forearms on to these circle things. Question your motives. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a cheap excuse and terrible quality. I’ll be cross-posting this comment on multiple pet store sites. I’m so unimpressed with this design. The incredible distress my dog endured because of shoddy design is unacceptable. PetMate needs to do better for the pets you aim to help. PetMax shouldn’t sell this product; they should ensure the pets they serve do not experience stress or injury.Ginn
The plastic has gotten more brittle than it used to be. Already has stress marks on corners and not even used. The sky kennels I have from 20 years ago are still functioning. Nicely built, easy to assemble (all holes line up for screws, about 10 with butterfly nuts).You get extra screws and rubber nuts. The cage design for opening and closing is nice and easy to use. Most of all, our dog took to it the first time. We had the S, same company. Uma is getting big now. Of course, we chose the same company and same product, just L in size. When a puppy, accidents do happen. It is easy to clean. Uma is about 20lbs now and can stand up in the kennel. Still plenty of height room. She may become 30-40lbs and this kennel will be all we need. Our use is for nighttime and when we go out. We have the gray which does not stand out. It is a neutral color and looks good in your kitchen, bedroom or where you keep your dog. The kennel also provides a rectangular cage on both sides on the top half so the dog can look out. I love this carrier! We used to have a big crate carrier and even with a blanket it was scary for my cats cuz it was like a big cold cage. This carrier is soft and a lot smaller so it’s more comforting and I find they don’t cry or struggle in it so much. It has a shoulder strap and hand straps so it’s super easy to carry. It’s the perfect size for my two medium sized cats but I have one fat one and I haven’t tried it on her yet. I worry she won’t have space to turn around, but unless you know you have a big cat, it should be perfect for most others. Definitely worth the buyMary
This pet carrier does the job in a pinch, but it’s not something I would use on a regular basis. It is small and a bit flimsy (the bottom is solid but the sides often collapse in a bit), and it has a very strong plastic-y odor that has not yet gone away (I bought it months ago). I bought this last fall to travel to Europe and Central America with my cat. When I received it, the new plastic or synthetic fabric smell was too much for me and definitely too much for my cat. I called the manufacturer and they told me to spray it with air freshener. I did and left it sitting open for a few weeks. Once I used it, the smell went away. At one point my cat did pee in it. I hand washed it, but couldn't get the urine smell out. Once I put it in the washer it came out smelling clean. I do love the bag, but if you're getting one, get it ahead of time. There is plenty of space for a cat to move and turn around. It's a great shape that fits under the seat. Perfect for any travel. The only down side is that it's heavy. Make sure your pets doesn't exceed 10 lbs if you want to take it in cabin. You may be refused boarding.Sacha A.
