I have the small in gray for my 10 lb. Boston Terrier. I was reluctant to spend that kind of money on a dialog seat. So, the dog seat consists of shaped styrofoam, sturdy yet soft canvass cloth, and lambswool. I like the fact that you just set the booster on your seat, thread seatbelt thru the bottom of booster and click seatbelt in place. Then you put the cushion back down and attach 1 or both of the safety straps to your pet and your ready to go. There is plenty of room for another pet to! My daughter said now we can get another little Boston. It's really a bit too big for my Boston. The height that she sits at is great. It's the area size that's kinda big. I just give her a small blanket to cuddle up with. Taking the cover off to wash is not super hard, but you should be careful of the styrofoam. It's not junk styrofoam either. I bought this item a couple weeks ago for my crested mix. Franklin, my 1.5 year old Schnoodle, goes to work with me every day so he needed a safe and cozy seat of his own in the car. I found this dog car booster seat very easy to install. It is very soft and cozy too so Franklin loves sitting in it. It is high enough so he can see outside of the window, yet secure enough that I feel safe attaching his seatbelt harness to the attached security cords that come with the booster seat. Overall, I would recommend this seat, especially if your pet travels a lot like mine does. I know Franklin feels safe and secure because he often falls asleep in his seat.
We have a chihuahua mix and it is a great height he can lay his head right at the window in our truck (Toyota 4Runner). My Cavalier King Charles Spaniel really enjoys his new seat. We just drove over 12 hours (including stops) and he slept most of the way. I purchased the large size and even that is a little small for this 20 pound dog, so I removed the cushion and he is just fine. This car dog bed achieved everything I wanted it to. I used it for a 12 hour road trip for my dog (pictured next to my kitty’s mobile space). It keeps my dog secure (the built in straps to leash her on are great) and the “arms” are nice plush and sturdy. At first I felt the bottom could use a bit more padding but since my dog is anxious and doesn’t actually sleep much in the car, it worked out better that way vs adding an extra blanket or something. I did also separately purchase a back seat extender mat thing simply because I got the size of bed that extends across two seats, and like most cars, the middle seat is a bit raised making the surface uneven. The tether that came with the car seat broke when I was adjusting it after only one use. The seat itself kept shifting to the side, even though my dogs' combined weight was half of the published weight limit. Overall it was a disaster on every front. GW Little arranged for us to get a full refund–great customer service as always! We had to pay to ship it back to the manufacture, which was about 1/3 of the purchase price, but at least we got a refund. I have since learned that Snoozer seats fail crash tests and do not provide your dog with the security they would have you believe. Please go to the website for the Center for Pet Safety and watch these videos for yourself and learn of safer options for your beloved pet. I know that they all love to look out, but wouldn't you rather they stay alive in case of an accident? GWL: The tether strap should not have broke, especially from only making an adjustment. We'd love to know what broke on it. The seats need to be secured tightly by your car's seat belt, otherwise it could slide around. Snoozer seats never claim to be crash-proof. Harnesses are the safety devices, not seats. Using a Lookout car seat, and tethering your dog provides safety by keeping them restrained and not distracting the driver. They make no claims against protecting your dog in case of an accident. There's a big difference and still a great deal of research needs to be done on providing a safe environment for pets in case of a crash.Susan
I have been using the lookout car seat for years. I have purchased them AND recommended them to many friends with new and old dogs. This was a replacement for one of my older carseats whose side foams were starting to break down from taking the covers on and off over years and washing them. I like the improvement in the nicer fabrics that has a nice zipper bottom. Previous one has the basic elastic edges so it pulled alot at the sides when trying to get back on. Of I have had the medium seat I am replacing for probably 8 plus years. I like this microsuede OK but i think I prefer the upgraded fabric covers I purchased in last 2 years or so. I think they are a bit nicer which is why I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. Positively I had a friend who had a 10 year old poodle that HATED car rides. I loaned my small snoozer to her and her dog was a different animal. Keke loved it and my friend purchased one. Overall a very worthwhile product.Alexandra P

This does a great job as a booster seat, not to be confused with a safety seat. It is quite high and with only a base point tie down, could easily flip forward on hard braking. I installed mine in the backseat with no problems. I have a small dog (22 lbs) that is about the size of a medium Yorkie. This carrier will not fit a regular medium/large dog well. I choose this particular car seat because my dog was able to sit higher up in the car. I have found that my dogs car sickness is not as severe if she sits higher up to put her head out the window without having to struggle and she can now see her surroundings easier. So far it is working well.
