Sorry not a review but a question. Sounds like this works well but I have a horrible time keeping my Shepard from licking his wounds. I've tried the Veterinary Formula Clinical Care Antiseptic and Anti fungal Spray for Dogs and Cats on a few of our outside cats. They've been deflead but one still kept scratching and losing fur just above her tail. I'm not sure if it's an allergic reaction to the fleas or if it's the result of a thyroid problem. But we tried this spray and the itching stopped immediately. It's been almost 3 weeks and she still isn't scratching it. I also wanted to try this on some ringworm that a few of the outside cats have. I've been spraying this on for almost 3 weeks now but haven't really seen any improvement with the ringworm spots that I'm treating. Ringworm can respond slow to treatments anyway so I'm not sure if this is going to help with that or not. The spray is a pump and it has a light citrus smell, kind of like oranges. It will not harm your pet if they lick it. It didn't list a minimum age that you can use it on. It contains Chlorhexidine Gluconate, Keratin, and Aloe Vera. It's listed as an antifungal, antimicrobial, and antibacterial. To use this you just spray the area tell really wet, twice daily for a week, then once daily for another week. I read the reviews for this product but was still a bit skeptical for it to actually work. One of my cats (2 yr old orange tabby) literally scratched the size of a 50 cent bare spot (literally overnight) in center of his back below shoulder blade. By the end of the day the circle was warm red inflamed and gross. Being on a tight budget I did my research for home remedies. First I began applying a year old vet prescribed Dermalone antibiotic that was prescribed for one of my other cats for 3 days but area got worse. Then began applying Neosporin for 2 days lightly on and around scab now and ( luckily the spot was where he could not reach to lick off) and it did nothing as well. A week later purchased this product, followed the directions and a week later the area was completed healed. Scab dried and fell off and new skin looks perfect and normal. Unfortunately I dont know what this was for did not take him to a vet. Infected area did resemble pictures of ringworm online. My avid little mouser cat caught herself a little prize just a few days before a month-prior planned trip my husband and i were unavoidably about to go to. Apparently that mouse had bitten her back in the process, right on her tender little lip cleft! Using this for hot spots on my canine, this stuff does work but it sometimes can take up to 2 8oz. Bottles to heal the area's treated. Not sure if it's the strength of medicine or just those stubborn spots. Ever since I adopted my little Angel a few months ago, I've wanted to get rid of her overly flaky coat and large amount of shedding. My vet first prescribed the standard fatty acid capsules. They were too large to administer by themselves and with pill pockets. Squeezing the liquid into Angel's wet food was out of the question as well, as she is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to supplementing her food with vitamins, medicines, etc. and refused to touch her dinner if it had the liquid in it. I used this on my baby chick that had severe dry fowl pox. Her beak was covered and her eye was crusted shut and it grew outta her nostril. I put this stuff on her daily for 5 days. So glad I tried this for Bumblefoot on my hen. Other methods of treatment seemed really invasive. I’m no vet, but I was able to remove the “corn” after 4 nightly treatments of Epsom salt soak then Green Goo covered with gauze and vet wrap. We have used Green Goo to cure our ducks of bumblefoot. Thankfully, we’ve only had to deal with this problem a couple of times, but we soaked their foot in a warm water/Epsom Salt soak for a few minutes, dried it and then applied Green Goo. We have two Pitbull mixes, one of which suffers from pretty severe food and skin allergies. I had high hopes for this collar as my older dog has a chronic condition and we are all very tired of his cone bumping into all of us and the whole house, and so is he. But, despite measuring and it appearing to fit exactly as described in the instructions, he had NO TROUBLE getting to the growth on his underside. Complete waste of time and money. If you have a small breed dog, be careful! These bites are large; my Shih Tzu can't chew them whole; I have to cut them into smaller pieces so she can take them. So, if you have a small puppy, make sure you cut the bites into small pieces and give them to your dog. Overall the results are good, and you should try this product at least once.
