The first night of sleeping on this bed was the best night for me…why…because He didn't wake me up until 9am instead of 7:30 am to go out to potty. The "cooling" side of the mattress is a lie. I know how cooling mattresses looks like and yours just have the color but not a cooling layer. My dog is very hot in his new bed during hot days and sleeps on the floor. Therefore, I feel cheated for having paid almost $50 for this bed. Also, the cover material is synthetic which naturally created heat and on top of a synthetic sponge creates a really too hot environment for my dog. The material is slippery so my elderly dog can hardly get up. The only reason I gave two stars is that the shape and height are good. Still, sizes you provide are inadequate and not a reflection of dog needs which is strange when Furheaven is in this business. My Yorki is a normal size. Yet, when I bought small which you recommend according to the size and weight chart as well as the sleeping area measurements you provided,he can fit well provided he is all the time in something like a fetus position and he doesn't move much. He cannot stretch or lie down in such a way so as to have at least an inch of space between himself and the sides of the bed. Dogs sometimes sleep in a stretched position and do need some extra space. Dogs also move during the sleep, swirl around, wiggle. So I had to get him a medium size which is really too big for him and the space where we keep it in our apartment but I am happy he has some extra space. Humans don't sleep in beds which are exactly their size. Standard beds even if a twin size have some extra space on all four sides because nobody stays in one position during the night. We absolutely LOVE this bed!!! It is extremely well made with separate zippered compartments for the bolster and bed padding. This makes it very easy to wash the cover and not the padding. I highly recommend the "Convoluted Orthopedic Foam" Mattress. As we live in California where the weather is warmer, the "Quilted" Cover material has been perfect all year round. This is actually our second bed that we bought. The first bed we bought for our an older dog who was starting to get arthritis and have back issues. We felt this bed greatly reduced his symptoms and made his last years much more comfortable. At a certain point we ordered a replacement cover for the first bed. It was still in such great condition when he passed that we could not get rid of it. Our new puppy found the bed and claimed it as her own. My miniature dachshund would give this bed 5 stars. He seems to settle in immediately when I put him on it (it's a little high so for his 3 inch legs to climb on). These beds are great quality. I have 2 springer spaniels that used to eat there beds. They also like to go out swimming in the ponds and come in soaking wet. Their current beds are 2 years old and when they get dirty I hose them off and they look great. No chew holes, but after 2 years i thought they needed some backups when they come in all sloppy. Over the last 2 years, I have completely purchased all new furniture from the Slumberland in Maple Grove Minnesota. The salesman knew that I had 3 upcoming surgeries and I also had fractured bones in my right hand. When my delivery came, the driver told me that he wasn't allowed to carry these 2 boxes into my home. Each box was 33 pounds. I had to lift them into my home and up 7 steps to the upper level of my home. I was very lucky that my grandson came and put them together for me. The next day I went back to this same Slumberland with my daughter. The salesperson, Nancy, came over and asked me how I liked the pet beds. When I told her how the boxes were left outside and no one would carry them upstairs, she replied, that's what you get with free delivery. I am still upset with her comment. NO one gave me an option to pay to have boxes brought into my home and put the beds together for me.NANCY

It gets dirty quickly and is too cumbersome to throw in the washing machine as suggested). 2. Although it is soft, it loses any fluffiness or support after a few uses. It’s like having a soft blanket under you (it’s a barrier from the tile, but you still are feeling the hard surface of the tile). 3. The sides of the bolster are a canvas like material. This is my 2nd Majestic Pet bagel bed. I have 3 toy breeds and a oversized recliner so the 40" bagel bed has room to sit next to me. There is plenty of room for all 3 the sleep in the 40". It is super soft, cuddly and they get all snuggled in and sleep for the night. My 1st bed was the velour all over, and the new one is canvas with the sherpa bottom. I knew it was time for a new bed because they were choosing different beds that were softer. The old bed is more than 3 years old and doesn't stay fluffed up very long any more. When put the new bed next to me they got excited and jumped in. I can't say enough good things about the Majestic bagel beds. Most beds I have bought usually go flat with in 6 months to a year. Magestic stays full and cuddly for a couple of years. I am very happy and so are my babies. They will have sweet dreams in their new soft bed for awhile. I love that Magestic has some new styles of bed now, I will be looking into them for thoopse times that the babies want alone time for naps.hrlydva
Looks as described and so far is working out. I appreciate the padding on the underside of this bed (and I’m sure my little guy does as well), although it is never on anything harder than a plush carpet. Fabric is softer than anticipated, which is a plus! I would say that the only gripe I have at the moment is a minimal one: until my little guy “breaks it in,” it is fairly lopsided. He does favor one end over the other but no doubt it’ll flatten, in a good way, soon. Bottom line: We recommend this bed!Kellie
