I have a 3 year old German Shepherd who in the past has eaten through 2 beds so we thought we would buy one and just keep it in the living room and not his crate. I saw this bed and instantly liked it. It does not have the fake sheepswool out side(Lobo always eats that first and then continues to the "innards" of the bed.) It is very attractive and it is comfortable! For him to get used to being on it I sat on the bed with him for the first day or so. He now choses the dog bed over the couch! My dog loves it. I bought the large size (she's medium-sized) as she loves to stretch out. This is the only bed that she would sleep in. My only problem with it is that, due to laminate floors, it slips around. I put a non-skid mat under it, but it does not seem to keep it in place. If this bed had a non-skid bottom, I'd buy several more!
I purchased this for my 13-year old black Lab who has arthritis. Previously, when I bought her an egg-crate foam bed, it took weeks before she began sleeping on it. This has to be the best dog bed I have ever purchased. My dog plays toss with it. My baby also hides his toys and bones in it and He sleeps in it. It is super soft and furry. The bottom is not very cushy but decent. We have a 55-60 lb dog and the 30×30 is way too big to be comfy but the next size smaller was cramped. I thought the fluffy fabric would be thicker but it is a bit thin for my taste. It does seem to be well constructed though. Do not stick this size in a large home dryer as it is too big and the heat will matte the fluffy strands (almost like melting) from the heat because it cannot move around enough. The last giant size bed we got from you was much larger, and unfortunately this one seems to be losing tons of the fur. From day one there are constantly clumps of the fur material nearby. The dogs don’t love it as much as they did the last, they aren’t laying on it much. I bought the floor pad bed and the square bed with the bolsters for small dogs. The items appear to be well made. The dogs are comfortable and use them right away. I like that these are totally washable although I have not yet had to wash them yet. I'm sure they will stand up to this when the time comes. I think that these are five star quality. The fake fur does shed a little bit. But my dogs scratch to make a nest and I think the excess fibers come out but they have not made a bald spot. They are not vigorous scratchers. I purchased the dog bed because 1) it would look good in my home and 2) my dog loves fluffy beds. I ordered the small bed and my French Bulldog fits perfectly. He curled up in it right out of the box! My dog tends to lay out over the edge, although there is plenty of room inside to curl up. For that reason, the sides aren't as upright as pictured on the website. I washed it twice and it held up wonderfully. I am hoping this bed lasts him a long time. I regret not buying the matching blanket for the bed. In the winter my Frenchie likes to lay down in the bed and be covered up with a blanket. I will likely be ordering the matching blanket to complete the set. This is a great bed. I would like to see how it holds up a year from now and do another review. Another thing, my Frenchie prefers this bed over the orthopedic bed purchased from a leading company ($200). It is just his preference and every dog is different. I am glad he likes the bed.
