Dog Ate Small Chicken Bone For Sale (Jan 2023 Update)

I am very torn over this product. My dog goes absolutely crazy over them. That being said, I feel like when I give one to my dog I have to watch her carefully. There have been occasions where she has actually choked on these because of the rawhide. Friends of mine have had the same issue. My dog is about 10 pounds and I give her the small ones. While they do last her a long time and she loves them, I don't necessarily feel they are safe for her.jennifer.z

These mini bones are my dogs absolute favorite. She is 10 pounds but is definitely a jumper. These treats are awesome for when people come over. I bought this for my sister's Weimaraner, Maddie and she enjoyed it for over an hour. This is my 9 year old baby after having five of them LOL . They’re her absolute favorite and she loves them so much that sometimes we have to skip a meal . I love that they’re small and she’s able to eat them all instead of leaving remnants of bigger bones everywhere . They also don’t stain her bed and the couch like some other bones do. I def recommend these, just make sure the bag is out of reach to ur babies or else they might end up fat like mine ❤️❤️adriana.👑

Pretty nutritionally bankrupt except for the meat rolled in the faux-rawhide. Rice is the first ingredient, and not even brown rice. Adult dogs eat these instantly, making them not at all cost-effective as a treat. Puppies with baby teeth, however, take a while to chew them up, giving them an intro to the fun of chewing REAL rawhide, etc.Boerne

My dogs like these. They are a little too big for dogs under 12 pounds.I believe this size is, or more suitable for a large to medium size dog. would be great if these were smaller. I would supervise the dogs with this chewy, when they are chewed down they could swallow the end of the chewy and that could be a choking hazard or cause a blockage.Kar Brigham

I love the large solid rubber flavored bones. I have a 5 year old 120 pound golden doodle and he has had his bones for a couple of years now! I sanitize them with boiling water and give them back. I know the commercials are tempting but please do not waste your money. My dog smelled it and took it but she immediately dropped it and walked away and hasnt looked back since. My dog is a 1yr GSD and she'd rather take a nap than play with that bone and thats saying something for a hyper-active puppy! My dogs love these bones. One of them likes to pull the red part off first and finish the rest later. She'll go so far as stealing from my other dog just to get to the savory part. This is a great way to keep her teeth clean between brushing.liza.s

My attempt at a play on words is that even though my dog is a medium-sized Chow-mix Rescue, the Soup Bones Mini-Size when broken in half is a perfect sized treat for when my precious pup is simply walking in the door or letting me clean mud off her paws, and any other task she should do without bribery! I feed her grain-free food but give her these treats. Yes, I am aware these have wheat in them. Some studies show that a little grain is good for dogs, even if they have sensitivities like mine. As long as I don’t give her too many to upset her skin condition, it’s not a problem. Plus, these are her ABSOLUTE FAVORITE treats! We call them “Treaty Bones” to differentiate from the other dental-cleaning “Treats” or jerky “Cookies” that she also gets. Sometimes, I don’t even have to say her name to call her inside; even if she’s super engrossed in something outside, all I have to say is “TREATY BONE!” from the back door or over the security camera speakers, and zzzooooommm!!! She’s at my feet like a good girl. These Soup Bones in any flavor or size make her happier than belly rubs! There have been some reviews with complaints about the number of bones, bag weight or volume, changes in size from the original and regular-sized Soup Bones, and I completely agree. Once the population was hooked, the Soup Bones Bakers started to cut the product’s quantity just a little. Long ago, I sent out a photo out on IG with the sudden change in size of the Soup Bones (before Minis were available) and asked Rachael Ray’s company if they assumed we wouldn’t notice the difference. Come on, OF COURSE WE NOTICED! These are for our-fur babies! While, I’m not always happy with the size, price, or weight of them (and “Long Lasting” in the description, Really?), my girl LOVES them, so I have to buy them. The Mini Soup Bone size makes it SO MUCH EASIER for my painfully arthritic hands to break them into smaller treats. We already go through several bags each month, cutting them or breaking them makes them last a little longer, gives her smaller doses of wheat/grains at a time, and is more convenient to monitor. I admit upfront that I'm over-tired of Ms. Ray and her EVOO fixation, as well as her vaunted pet line–she feels like the Dr. Oz of pop culinary pursuits. However, these were on discount, so I felt like I could give them a shot, in my hunt for reward items for my dog that would also hopefully get him out of my hair for at least a little while. My dog loved them, but despite being a wee specimen of a probably-miniature-schnoodle, he would gobble them down in usually well under 30 seconds, making them more of a high-calorie treat than a keep-'em-busy chew, by far. Calling them bones is also a misnomer, in that they don't really resemble them in anything more than a hypothetical, perhaps symbolic sense–they're not at all crunchy, and not even remotely as durable. If I'd known they're really more just doughy and squodgy, I might've thought twice about ordering them via drive-up pickup, sight effectively unseen. Still, my dog was at least very pleased by them, so it wasn't a total loss. I just don't think I'd get them again, particularly at full price. these treats are my chihuahua's FAVORITES – she prefers these over anything, including "people" food! she practically can't sit still when i break these out. they, however, are NOT long lasting – she can usually demolish it in a few minutes. they're soft enough to be broken in half for smaller portioning, which i did like, i just wish it was actually long lasting. even without that, though, this is still the best treat my dog has ever had.Sage

Great Alternative to Rawhide! I have 3 large dogs that get a chewy every morning after playtime, and my little chiweenie wants one too, but their chews are hard on little tummies. Now he gets one of these with his big dog siblings. He's happy. He loves them, and looks forward every day to chewy time. My 8 month old pup loves these bones. She loves to chew and bite; something I HATE. She usually is biting and chewing on me 😂. She has chew toys like Kong's and everything but she gets bored of those. I NEEDED to find something she could chew on and keep her entertained. So, I ended up purchasing these. She fell in love! I ordered these Smart Bones based on the advertisement on the F&S web-site. While waiting for their arrival our local Pet Smart had just received some and they were already nearly sold out. I picked up a package from them to try while waiting for our shipment to arrive. What a complete change in our three dogs. They love them so much that I can barely get them out of the package without them trying to grab them out of my hand. They don't eating them until they are gone unlike the rawhides that I keep tripping over because of being half eaten and they may or may not come back to. After they used up the ones from Pet Smart and the ones ordered, they literally refused their old treats they had previously enjoyed. Needless to say another order was placed larger then the last. I haven't noticed any adverse affects from their consuming them but they have been a lot more playful and active and literally look for them at that "special time of day" when they would get them. Would highly recommend you try them at least once. I don't know if the size of the dog would make any difference, ours are small and use the small and mini sizes.Birdsdogman

It’s really hard to get the peanut butter or whatever you are using into the holes and not all over the rest of the bone. It didn’t keep my dogs busy for that long. Also they got really sharp edges once my dogs started to chew on them. I would think it would hurt their gums and top of mouth so I throw them away after they start to chew.Mbad24

My dog is a heavy chewer, so I thought this would provide long lasting entertainment. However, the dog sniffed the Nylabone very briefly and then ignored it completely, despite me offering it several times. In the meantime I have read several horror stories where dogs have ended up in surgery after ingesting fragments of a Nylabone, so I count myself lucky that my dog wasn't interested. My dogs (ages 9, 7 & 3) have been raised on Nylabone DuraChews (the "Souper" size). After my 9-year-old sustained a slab fracture to the fourth premolar while chewing one (the vet later determined the fracture to be the Nylabone "finishing off" an already cracked tooth), I thought maybe it was time to switch to a softer chew. We've always used & love Nylabones, have only ever tried the DuraChews, & have been pleased with how long-lasting they are. My youngest dog regularly chews all of the DuraChews down to points. Upon the recommendation of friends & our vet, we decided to try the FlexiChew. The idea is that the chew should be "soft" enough that a person can make a mark in it with their thumbnail. These fit the bill. I think maybe my 7-year-old, 90lb Rhodesian Ridgeback, NEVER an avid chewer, might even enjoy them more. The girls are ACDs, enjoy chewing routinely & can consume a large elk antler in an hour if allowed. They still go for the Durachew, but are warming up to these.JKMC

I like everything about this Nylabone Moderate Flexchew. It is not real hard and very flexible. I have a Rotweiler/Lab/Boxer mix and he chews on everything except hard bones. He prefers the softer chew bones. When he feels anxious and has nervous energy, he will chew on one of these bones instead of chewing up shoes or anything else he is not supposed to chew on. I will be ordering more of these bones because you cannot find them everywhere.snow6716

I got these bones for my lab mixes and they love them, even fight over them! They have chewed them down to a nub! time to buy more… The only draw back is that as they chew on the bone, small pieces break off and need to be cleaned up.heavy chewers

This product is affordable . It looked sturdy so I decided to give it a try. My dog loved it. The only issue is that my dog was able to start to chew off small pieces in less than a day. My dog is a heavy chewer so that might’ve had something to do with that.maria.h

This is what looks and feels like a hard plastic – not wood texture – not chewable – it will not even bend it's so hard. I wet it to see if it would be more appealing to my dog but it was like wetting a hunk of plastic. My dog won't touch it and not attracting by any scent on it. Ugh!JodyG

These are great for quick eaters! My dog would woof down her greenie so quickly I’m not sure it really even helped her dentally, but she actually has to take her time chewing on these. Plus they are more cost effective than the competitor so it’s a win win in my householdDelaney

My dogs have been loving these so far! I have two golden doodles that weigh right around 50lb, and they are both enjoying them. My one boy is picky and has not liked other chicken flavored dental treats in the past, but these are a win!
