Luckily the broken pieces of wood were in places that were not detrimental in keeping the house together. I purchased this dog house because its dimensions matched perfectly a concrete slab off of my back porch. I set it up about 3 weeks ago. Since then some of the vertical roof panels have buckled at the seems with the other vertical panels. It is exposed to sun from about noon & we had a light drizzle a few nights ago. I wonder if it will last through the winter as snow will accumulate on its roof & the wood is exceptionally light? My dog loves it, & like I said, it is a perfect fit off the back porch. I bought the medium size house. It was very easy to put together, perfect size, puppy jumped right in and it looks great! I was really excited about it! I will say when I was looking for a duck house I spent countless hours looking for the perfect option. Florida weather and sun does wonders to things outside. I came across this house and it just stood out. When it arrived and I was dreading assembling because let’s be real directions suck! Their directions were actually awesome and the build was a breeze! However our poor ducks only got to enjoy this for a couple weeks before we had the worst Hurricane in history make landfall right through our backyard! Our ducks coop was destroyed when a tree landed on it. I was devastated their brand new house was all in the mangled mess. However upon inspections in the aftermath of the hurricane I would say this house was more solid than our own. It withstood a Cat 4 pushing Cat5 Hurricane with what appears as to be minimal damage. Heck the duck house roof held on better than our own house did! The duck house has a couple shingles that came off and the front porch ripped off but the outter shell held tight! 10/10 recommend this house for any outdoor need! I will however have to purchase a new one to give this home it’s full potential it originally had in our coop!Jessica

I was looking for a dog house for my two dogs (one 50 lbs the other 60 lbs) to share. I am very happy with this dog house. It's not made out of flimsy wood like a lot of the other houses I looked at. The corrugated ecoflex material is very sturdy and this house is very simple to put together. Each piece is numbered and laying the pieces out in ascending order makes putting this house together a breeze. My dogs fit just fine inside the house and they'll be able to keep each other warm this winter. They are medium sized dogs so they're not very tall, if this house were to be purchased for a large breed the buyer MAY find this house to be too short. ex. A great dane would NOT be able to stand up and turn around in it. I've only had his house for a few weeks so I can not comment on the longevity of this product. The only downfall I've noticed so far is that it does get a little wet on the inside when it rains, I believe they make a plastic flap that can go over the door to help eliminate this problem, I just haven't looked into it yet. Use it for my medium sized beagel. Only had for about a week but I was impressed with the easy of installation. Took me alone about 40 minutes to set up. Gave extra screw for misplace or damaged ones. I appreciate the porch so I can put his food and water there without getting all wet. I like the half-roof lift as well for easy clean out. So far it has handled a good down poor without any water leaks. It has real roof sealed roof shingles. It also sits about 1-1.5 inches off the ground… don't worry to much about bugs. I purchased the medium size house for my feral cats outside to provide shelter from the elements. I received the house in a few days but had to wait for the weather here to cooperate so it could be put together. It assembled quite quickly. The instructions were pretty straight forward & used the picture as a guide. All pieces were intact and all screws and bolts were included. My one issue is the packaging. This manufacturer needs to use a thicker Styrofoam to not only protect the product from damage, but so that when the consumer takes the product out of the box, Styrofoam doesn't fly all over. What a mess! That being said, I plan on getting another one. As soon as it was all set up, the cats immediately inspected it and made themselves at home😊 I didn't give it 5 stars because the packaging needs to be addressed, but the product is one that I would recommend.Catatude
I actually purchased this house for a feral cat that I look after. I added insulation, a heater, and some straw and he's very comfortable and content. I also added a camera, to see what goes on in there, but that's solely for my entertainment. The house is well made and sturdy and looks great on my deck. I'm so happy with it I've ordered another for another cat. And, at around $100, the price is excellent. I'm giving it only 4 stars simply because it needed to be insulated, it just isn't warm enough without it.. With insulation it's a 5 star house, and insulating it was cheap and very easy to do. This house is so cute I bought it for my 34 lb English Cocker Spaniel named Jackson. Jackson thinks he is a rock star in it! He loves it and all the neighbors thinks it is just as cute as can be. I laid a brick foundation for it and placed it on that. It was worth the money however it was a little difficult putting the hinged roof on so I just screwed the whole roof down tight. I read John Ross's column in the newspaper about 14 years ago when i got my Lab pup. His training methods worked. I lost my Lab this year and decided to rescue a dog. I thought the book would help me and it did. I have a Whippet mix who looks and acts like a Whippet. I have gone to the book to help me train her. It takes patience but his methods work. Received it fast from shipper, Some plastic panels were a little bent/warped when they came out of the box and when you are assembling can be a bit challenging but no reason to throw in the towel. I give it 4.5 out of 5 stars so far overall but I haven't had a chance to weather test it outside against the heat, rains and winds that we will be experiencing during the tropical rainy season in South Florida. Look forward to see how well I think it will hold up during this period and also year around. In addition but not as a necessity I plan on adding a new plastic sheet underneath the new elevated level concrete platform and some new comfortable bedding which will be inside covering the plastic flooring base for our priceless family dog. Also due to the nature of the tabbing in assembling this dog house which could be alot better in my opinion, I decided to glue the two piece plastic flooring base together for more strength something that I didn't have to do. I might decide in the future to glue it all together but for now until I complete all the weather testing I will leave it as is. I would suggest to the manufacturer to make the instructions a little clearer/easier to read, make the tabs snap together better and easier, add more vents on the sides if possible, replace the twofront pieces of plastic with screening and as a after market item a battery operated fan/heater that you can install to keep your dog cool or warm. I have not trained a puppy since 1994, things have changed! This book had some great ideas examples and pictures. Some of it is complicated or difficult to do. This trainer is a stay at home person, I dont have time to hand feed every meal of kibble. Its hard to retrain old habits, like only use the dogs name for good, not when they are doing something bad. So got a good start w puppy but will be going to a live trainer to help train me.sheehcari

It's a book about getting a new puppy. But it just touches on each training stage. I mean just. It explains very little about what exactly to do. we are having the very aggressive biting with those sharp baby teeth. He has a little explanation of how his dogs deal with a new puppy biting. So? How does that help us? If you want some exact ways to deal with any problems, another was poddy training, very little help. If I had not highlighted some of the pages this would have been returned. I found this book really helpful. Its been awhile since I have raised a puppy and it has given me the confidence to undertake a new member of the family. It has given me a greater respect for puppy breeders as a good breeder starts a puppys training both with their time with their mother but early introduction to housetraining and getting used to the lead. He highlights how bad puppy farms are and why this early experiece can make the process of raising a dog fraught with problems before they even arrive with the owner. Piggy is mostly white with very pink skin. His pads of his feet are pink they are turning a little darker as he gets older . He has one eye smaller than the other and has no pupil response in either eye but can see shadows i think from one eye. I was suspecting he was a double Merle . I’d love to send a pic so you could see. His traits that you have said he has appearance wise was not accurate. He does have a touch of Merle coloring on his lower hip and leg. But he’s mostly white and very pink around the eyes and pads of feet even pink nose with a touch of black . I would have never guessed he was related to most of these other breeds. He does however have a look of a American Staffordshire terroir a little. His mom Looked like a Australian Shepherd or boarder collie we think. He was a stray we found when he was only 4lbs and had to be fed with a syringe then bottle. Can a dog mixed with so many other breeds be a double Merle ?Kelly D.
We adopted our family dog from a shelter on Christmas Eve a few years ago. Ever since she was a puppy, she had always displayed peculiar traits that didn't seem to align with the traits of the breeds the shelter had guessed for her. We were very excited to receive our WisdomPanel (which was super easy to use) and even more excited to review the results (which came quicker than expected). The results definitely surprised us. I immediately thought it must have been a mistake, until I looked up pictures of the breed my dog was identified as — it was like looking at pictures of my own dog! Plus, the breed descriptions on WisdomPanel and the greater internet were 100% spot on with how our dog behaves. I have serious concerns that the sample for my dog was mixed up with another's. The report stated that my dog is 50% golden retriever (meaning one of his parents was 100% golden) and 13% chow, with the remainder being other breeds. I would expect that if my dog was truly 50% golden retriever, he should look something like a golden retriever. Sam does not. He LOOKS like he should be some variation of a Doberman and Shepherd. He has the coloring of both of those dogs (mostly black with tan/brown accents) has VERY short hair, lanky legs, and a long straight tail. I sent a follow-up email to Wisdom Panel when I first read the results and got no response. I should think that since this is partly scientific research, Wisdom Panel would want feedback when data does not result as expected. I am very upset that I spent my money on this, especially with the lack of customer service when I reported my concerns.Stephanie G.

Some parts were little slow and repetitive between different animals, but I personally loved reading about how he proved that different animals were telepathic.
